Aug 27, 2021Dreamscaper doesn’t offer a compelling connection between the dream battles and the difficulty that the introvert Cassidy has in fitting in the big city. Nevertheless, where it truly matters, i.e. the combat and randomization of items/ levels, the quality is high enough to convince us to return again and again to its challenging but fair dungeons.

Dec 23, 2020Dreamscaper is a permadeath RPG that took my breath away. This is a game that carries weight behind it. The overall moves and story arcs are impeccable to take it and watch. The visuals are staggering and impeccable. It’s a wonderful game. It’s a moving and relatable narrative that allows you inside our protagonist’s life and personal experiences of her subconscious. It’s a damn good game.

Aug 14, 2020Dreamscaper is beautiful, deep and haunting, deftly combining elements of real-life pain and poignant character development with fast-paced combat in a surreal alternate world.

Aug 31, 2020It’s a really interesting idea, and it’s very well executed. The flow of the game is never too fast either, even the more intense battles have a little more space than in most roguelikes, and it leads to a more relaxed game overall. I really like Dreamscaper and I hope that a lot more people will play it.

Apr 24, 2023The animations are the worse I saw in decades, I did not like the "squared" levels.
I did not enjoy this game in general despite loving roguelikes.
