I enjoyed this game quite a bit. The levels are challenging, the enemy variety & placement felt strong and the different timing on weapons provides a new challenge on each run.
Only downsides in my mind was that the overworld gift-giving mechanic felt a bit random having to guess whether someone would like something.

I enjoyed every aspect of the game. I already like rogue-like games a lot and Dreamscaper just made my 1 week. It was an amazing experience with Cassidy. It felt warm while trying to find our hero's story. I really recommend you to play this game.

A very enjoyable game with a myriad of novel game mechanics that will suck you in and keep you entertained for hours. Endlessly replayable. Can't wait for the next project from Afterburner Studios!

Was really enjoying the initial vibes of this game. A really enjoyable style and mood for the first zone, and immediately after I'm bored and hardly care. I do understand the dichotomy theyre going for, the contrast between the soft, bright colors of the protagonist and her memories of her childhood home, but everything afterwards is obnoxiously stereotypical. Spikey purple bad guys. AWas really enjoying the initial vibes of this game. A really enjoyable style and mood for the first zone, and immediately after I'm bored and hardly care. Spikey purple bad guys. A dark, indistinguishable cityscape. A decent roguelike, but only worth consideration if you've already milked the fun out of half a dozen better ones. Expand

The animations are the worse I saw in decades, I did not like the "squared" levels.
I did not enjoy this game in general despite loving roguelikes.

Wonderful rogue-like game with character development and lore to explore. The combat mechanics is quite hard but as most games similar to Hades, there is a learning curve. This game definitely deserves more credit, sad to say I only got to play it a few hours. Gameplay: https://youtu.be/qr31wI3kwkE

A roguelike with a strong emphasis on the story. The gameplay turned out to be rather shallow, but the gravity of the subject that the game tackles (depression) makes up for that. For a roguelike, Dreamscaper is quite easy, so its message has a chance to reach a broader audience. [11/2021, p.61]

If you have an itch for a new and solid roguelike, Dreamscaper is more than happy to help you scratch it.

In a crowded roguelike landscape, Dreamscaper tries to stand out by adding a narrative, advendure-like mini section, which is so well-crafted and interesting that it almost overshadows the action segments. The game offers good graphics and a cool soundtrack, but also repetitive puzzles and unconvincing enemy design. Luckily, the combat system is excellent, which makes a great pick for any action roguelike fan.
