    Exactly what I expected... and more! this game is great, worth every penny, especially compared to the flow of games coming out over the last few years which fall short or appear rushed. Also - this is a single player game, and what I rate on. not that interested in MP.

    Pros: Performance, bug free, story, graphics quality is exceptional, Frame rate. Cons: The ammo availability is    Exactly what I expected... and more! this game is great, worth every penny, especially compared to the flow of games coming out over the last few years which fall short or appear rushed. Also - this is a single player game, and what I rate on. not that interested in MP.

    It's the best FPS i have played in a long time. it distills everything that made 2016 so good refined further and even adds some more story. While it is not for everyone I can honestly say it is quite the experience and deserves a play if you are even glancing at it.

    An amazing achievement in single-player FPS. This does what Witcher 3 did to an RPG. It takes all the best from the genre, balances nicely, adds jaw-dropping environments and music. ID made a modern MASTERPIECE.

    Doom Eternal is everything I wanted from a Doom sequel and more. The OST is even better than the original, the pace is insane, don't move and you die, you are always with low ammo. Enemies look familiar to Doom ][. I love the new 'Mario bros-like' additions of jumping through hoops. It feels like a modern version of Doom ][ meets Mario World.

    This is Doom 2.0. More gore, more action, more weapons and more demons. It is absolutely kick ass game. It is fast and it is brutal. it is entertaining. Hours upon hours of non stop, full of adrenaline slaying demons action. Go play Animal Crossing or some NINTENDO and leave this to the grown ups. The ammo system is just fine. If you played Doom before you know how to get it. I don't know what else do you guys want from an old school fast pace. I think any difficulty other than Nightmare in this game is a piece of cake. The atmosphere is awesome too. All the lore about the secret bases from the government gives us immersion too. This game is 10/10 to me. All the negative reviews from these delicate kids makes me wanna puke. Everyone is entitled to your own opinion, but, if you're playing a hardcore game full of graphic violence you shouldn't expect for SOY MOMENTS. Period!… Expand

    best singleplayer game i have EVER played. it runs so nice dude, and i mean so nice. its hard, its disgusting, the level design is out of this world, it is just so much FUN. i love this game with all of my heart.

    It took me a little while to warm up to this game. Early on, it irked me that forces you to focus a lot on arbitrary, non sensical mechanics: for example, chainsawing enemies to get ammo. Demons infighting is unnecessarily frequent. And I missed tearing enemies apart with my barehands.
    But once i met with my first jumping puzzle, I started to warm up to the game. Its a sophisticated    It took me a little while to warm up to this game.     But once i met with my first jumping puzzle, I started to warm up to the game. Its a sophisticated experience that challenges you in so many ways. It's not the simple pointing and shooting of Call of Duty, or the mindless catharsis of Doom 2016. It's a really brainy, challenging experience.
    Soon my warmth became red hot. As another reviewer aptly said, you feel like an unstoppable force of nature. But what's truly a pleasant surprise is the story. When it comes together about 75% of the way through the game (after seeming disjointed and confusing), it's actually something incredible, and serves to answer an important religious paradox in a very edgy and powerful way.

    DOOM Eternal presents a beefy campaign for a modern shooter and raises the violence levels to over-the-top extremes. Multiplayer is unique and interesting. On a high-end PC, the game looks beautiful and obviously sounds orgasmic. The game's sound effects are awesome and make everything feel more satisfying. The soundtrack is metal af and nearly perfect.

    The single-player is a rare treat, offering about 30 hours of gameplay in one shot provided you search for all the collectibles. There are so many different demons, and the game ramps up the difficulty naturally, with the only unfair spikes happening if you take on the Slayer Gate challenges as you come across them. Enemies have weakpoints that you can exploit with certain weapons, all of which are fun and satisfying to use. Use equipment like grenades and flamethrowers to sustain yourself with armor and health pickups, and use the chainsaw to replenish your ammo. Ammo runs out quicker than it did in DOOM 2016, but the chainsaw is easier to use this time, adding to the mayhem.

    Harder difficulties result in more intense pulse-pounding action, and I do recommend setting the difficulty to Ultra-Violence to start. Doomguy moves fluidly by jumping and dashing, and he can hit enemies up close with the powerful, crowd-controlling Blood Punch. There are so many layers to the combat it's insane, and the demons you encounter will all have different optimal ways of dispatch.

    The progression system is nice and fun to partake in, though some may be turned off by the requirement of a Besthesda.net account. Multiplayer is fine but it isn't the game's selling point. While graphical fidelity in the game took a big hit when Devuno-anti-cheat was added, you can still occasionally see low-res textures if you stop to gaze at a wall up close. There's also plenty of lore in the game to get lost in, but some of the codex entries are laborious to read when I just want to get back to the action.

    Besides that, I do highly recommend this game. It's a whirling dervish of exhilaration for anyone who loves the idea of popping demon's eyes out of their sockets and thinks realism is for squares.    … Expand

    I don't really like these "jorge" dark demons rock and roll bad'ass kinda thing, but this game is supreme. I was really impressed and surprised;
    Incredible graphics, the soundtrack I can't even describe. It's just pure fun and gore, and action, in the best way possible.

This game has intense fast paced combat, incredible level design filled with awesome secrets, more interesting enemies, and more of the awesome Doom lore unfolding as you play!     Doom Eternal is an excellent sequel to Doom 2016. The gameplay has been further improved compared to the last episode with a more aerial game. The game is magnificent and full of secrets to discover, I love it!

    Devs did best imrovements that one could imagine. Eternal is superfast - dash is probably the most incredible thing that a shooter of this lvl actually needed (also monkeybars and trampolines). Add to this an awesome shooting strategy (chainsaw for ammo, glorykill - health, flamebelch - armor) and freaking SICK sound by Mick Gordon - Eternal has EVERYTHING a true fan of shooters need.

If you don't like first person platforming this is NOT the game for you. Do yourself a favour and turn off the environment screen shake as it's obnoxious when climbing walls.

    The ammo counts are a bit too low in early game, resulting in too much survival based combat with the chainsaw and glory kills being required mandatory tasks rather than fun things you could do as and when you chose to. I also don't like how you can't now just equip the chainsaw and run around with it. Yes, it didn't really serve any gameplay purpose to do that over this new system, but it still just felt badass. However once you realise the chainsaw auto-regens it makes this a lot more palatable as you don't need to constantly hunt for fuel and you can actually use it far more often m/

    The UI is a downgrade though - the lime green / yellow art style doesn't suit the game and looks a bit cheap. The art style for the UI in the first game was so much better, and that can't be overstated. The font choices they have used are really awful.

    Audio is improved from the first one though, where the sound effects previously weren't always that good and there were some questionable EQ. The music mix is also improved, it's just as epic but a less fatiguing mix. The default mix does put the music way too loud though, but this can be adjusted.

    The game plays and runs superbly well though and the visuals are amazing - if you liked the first one, then you'll probably like this one, just give yourself an hour to get the first sections out the way as they are not the most inspiring.    … Expand

    Игре скоро 2 года, а в неё добавляют кучу бесплатного контента. Я бы хотел ещё увидеть платные сюжетные DLC, потому что я остался абсолютно доволен каждым аспектом этой игры.

Наслаждаюсь всем что вижу и слышу в процессе игры и радуюсь, что хоть кто-то еще делает шутеры, в которых геймплей поставлен на первое место.Лютая мясорубка. Великолепное продолжение с бесподобным геймплеем, безумной музыкой и гениальным визуальным исполнением. Играть строго на Кошмаре для запекания седалища!     This game is an improvement over DOOM 2016 in just about every way imaginable. If you don't like a more "videogamey" aesthatic with bright colours for pick ups and all that, then I guess the presention isn't gonna be your cup of tea. But everything else is just so much better, if you're up for the challenge. This time you actually have to manage your ammo and pay attention to how you kill your enemies to get what you need (Health, Armor or Ammo). It seems like this is what some people take issue with and if you like your games mindless then I guess there's nothing for you here. You defintely have to think about what you're doing and stay on your toes. I remember I almost never used the chainsaw in DOOM 2016 because there was plenty of ammo to go around. In Eternal it's absolutely necessary and I end up using it in pretty much every encounter. In general you'll end up using everything at your disposal. Not because you ran out of ammo on your favourite weapon but because it's mandatory if you want to stay alive. There really is a weapon (and weapon mod) for every situation and you'll constantly be switching between them.

    Also the environments are very varied and look great! In DOOM 2016 everything looked pretty samey. Not here.

    I really can't praise this game enough but I don't want to spend all day writing this review. The main takeaway is that it's designed in a way that forces you to use everything at your disposal if you want to survive, much moreso than DOOM 2016, regardless of difficulty mode. (I'm playing on Ultra-Violence) This makes the whole experience extremely engaging. There's not a single thing I can think of that's a downgrade over its predecessor. And the only downside in general imo is that they kept the mission challenges. I'm just not a fan of these kinds of artificial challenges but I know I'm in the minority there and it's not a huge deal anyway.

    Just don't get the physical copy like I did. Otherwise you'll have to deal with Bethesda's awful Launcher and all the headaches that come with that. Buy it on steam. :)    … Expand

    I honestly can't think of what else to say. The game is a masterful example of a game done right. The movement is snappy, fluid and fun. The combat is smooth as silk, it is fast paced brutal action that flows so so well. The visuals and art direction are of a quality that all fans and developers should aspire to, managing to evoke the same feelings that the art of the originals did so many years ago. The work of the audio team brings the same energy and style that they brought to 2016, there are very few games whose music can count itself among my general listening playlist, and this is a proud addition to that.

    When the time comes to look back on the top games of the decade, I expect DOOM Eternal to be a prominent entry.

    So far, I've doubled my playtime in Eternal (122 hours at the moment) compared to 62 over the past 4 years in 2016. Now:    This is a very biased review of course, but this is my favorite game ever made. I will happily explain why, and having going back to playing Doom 2016 for an hour today, it is actually weird how many negative things I notice that I haven't before about the game.

    So far, I've doubled my playtime in Eternal (122 hours at the moment) compared to 62 over the past 4 years in 2016.

    Now: what makes the game good, in my opinion, and what are my responses to the criticisms?

    Gorgeous art direction. If you go back and replay Doom 2016, take a look at nearly every area in the entirety of that game. It looks identical to Doom 3, for all of the **** that people give that game. Doom Eternal expands on the ideas of the OG games, opting for epic landscapes and portrayals that I've always wanted out of Doom 2: Hell On Earth as a young kid. Without spoiling anything, within the 14 levels you never go to the same place twice. I don't think this'll count as spoilers, so I'll include the list: Hell On Earth with city landscapes and various architecture and cool **** for story reasons I won't say, we go to the Sentinel homeworld with the gorgeous trees and medieval castles, go to the general pits of Hell, where the consumption of Earth's architecture has been rooted. You go to the icy northern parts of Earth with various architecture from a faction, you go to the more barren mountainous and foggy very industrial complex hosting a major enemy, you go to the "Super Gore Nest" (give it a Google), you go the heart of the resistance and other story bits, as well as major enemy, you go to Phobos' UAC sci-fi complex with the BFG 10k, you go to the outer destroyed surface of mars and various floaty bits left behind, you go to the hellish corrupted core (with some sick **** setpieces man), you go to the more regal portions of the Sentinel world, you go to the absolutely horrid factory deposits of hell and such a banger **** song, and "Urdak" (a unique heaven thing, it's pretty cool).

    Enemy variety, of course, is superb. Now, this isn't 2016; you can't kill everything with the double barrel shotgun like a wild goose. This game is hard. It's actually quite similar to chess (I know, super cliche analogy), but if you don't learn the mechanics it'll kick your ass.    … Expand

    I don't really understand the bad reviews on this game.
    It's gorgeous, well optimised. It's fun, it's fast, it's brutal and it's smart (yes, it's a smart game).
    It's the first time in my life that when i finished the game, i restarted it immediatly.
    So when i read the negative reviews, i just wonder if we played the same game.

The level design is incredible with massive areas to look at in the background along with arenas that have nice and convenient things such as some good ol' monkey bars that help you swing around the place. Guns feel great along withDOOM: Eternal. . .that's all I need to say really. The gameplay is fast paced and brutal, it gives you an adrenaline rush by just being 3 seconds in a battle. Guns feel great along with some nice movement upgrades such as the grapple hook and the dash that you get later in game that only amps up the adrenaline rush-like experience. The music is fantastic as always, but for some reason I didn't hear the little jingle you would get in between glory kills like you did in 2016 (it helped to show how cool the soundtrack was in 2016). Now the multiplayer is good, but I would still like to see a variety of gamemodes in it still. The story is alright, they don't really explain some things but WHY SHOULD YOU CARE? DOOM doesn't give a **** about story, it's all about the gameplay and music that just you want to hook up to your veins. If you are a fan of shooters, I definitely recommend this game to you.… Expand

    Much faster, Gorier and Non-stop High octane action. With thinking! In higher difficulties it becomes a lot like a high-reflex puzzle game, and that's awesome. Really a tribute to those who designed the original games, enemy prioritization pushed to eleven.

    TL;DR: AWESOME SHOOTER! Different, but (to me) better than Doom 2016

    Increased abilities, faster movement and very well done pacing.

    I'm amazed that Doom Eternal actually fleshed out more of a story line.

    No SJW content, fast paced gaming that makes you feel like a god.

    Great game, better than Doom 2016 and a great soundtrack as well.

    This time around DOOM Eternal focus more into telling a story that for being honest    DOOM Eternal is a great sequel to 20016's DOOM and one of the best games i have played so far!!!     This time around DOOM Eternal focus more into telling a story that for being honest it is actually descent and the game manage to balance both gameplay and story, something that DOOM 3 couldn't properly manage.
    As the previous game, DOOM eternal features the same frenetic fast paced action and combat and it adds a couple of new features like dash, a flame thrower and a grenade that can be switched to an ice grenade. Glorious kills makes a comeback as well the chainsaw.
    The level design was made with the intention to add multiple ways to engage the enemy and with the goal to encourage the player to explore every corner in search of ester eggs and hidden secrets like toys, tracks from the soundtrack and cheat codes and other features that can help you upgrading your suit for better abilities.
    The game features a new mechanic which is the "permadeath" it is obvious that if you die you'll be punished to start from the beginning, that's why exploring the levels is crucial to find extra lifes that will keep you going trough the game cuz you'll going to need them... the game gets harder and harder the more you progress.
    Now let's move to the negative point of the game which for me it's only one... platforming sections!!! those are unnecessary and annoying, why did ID Software add this?
    In my whole time playing DOOM i only encounter one crash that got easily fixed by only lowering one specific setting... something that has the word "pool" on it.
    Moving to the performance, i've heard that is a really demanding game overall, sadly i cannot say that as i didn't test it on other rigs. For me the game ran pretty well with a solid framerate using the ultra nightmare settings on a GTX 1080 Ti, and i got amazed that my pc ran pretty cold, considering that i have a pretty mediocre cooling system, maybe the game is well optimized? it can be.
    The visuals does not disappoint, the game has some really cool lighting and particle effects, animations are fluent and the detail on the enemy wounded flesh looks nasty and bloody, really impressive what the new Id Tech 7 can achieve now.

We got picturesque views, different locations that were missed in DOOM 2016. The setting looks like an old DOOM was upgraded in 2020. Also, we got new weapons, new demons, a lot of bosses and mini-bosses, upgrades for them, a lot of new collectibles,So, this game does not look like DOOM 2016, but this game is just awesome.     Not sure what these kids are talking about but for anyone that enjoys a fast paced brutal fps this game is for you. if you have a hard time with basic puzzles (Like put the circle in the circle slot not the square spot) then this game is not for you. Violent and rewarding go for it bud rip and tear until it is done.

    This game was so life-changing for me it has amazing mechanics and non-repetitive gameplay. It reminds me of stardew valleys and I cant wait for them to port this game to the Nintendo 64. Oh, wait they did its called unreal tournament this game is such a ripoff and honestly is a waste of money.

    If you liked DOOM2016 (or any shooter for that matter) you should try it. In my opinion this is the most complete arcade shooter ever and delivers a challenging and engaging experience with extremely good graphics. 10/10 must play.
    Tipp: if it's your first DOOM you might wanna play on the first 2 difficulties for the first run, because oh boi it can be really hard on the higher ones.

    That's an outstandingly good game. It's masterpiece, but it's very difficult on Nightmare! more difficult than Doom 2016 which i cleared easily on Nightmare! But marauders and how i feel, that Icon of Sin, are "fairly" UNFAIR bosses. I recommend all players on nightmare to farm some Extra Lives.

    Art style is more cartoony and less gory than Doom 2016 in my opinion. The demons don't look as realistic in this game, as the game is going for a more arcade-like feel. At first it was off-putting, but then it grew on me. I imagine most will learn to like this even better. The glory kills are much, much better than Doom 2016 because of the variety of kills and the superior animations.

    Ammo is more scarce, the action is fast paced, the traversal is quicker, and there are far more puzzles. One of the early missions makes the game feel more like a puzzle game than an fps. Later in the game, the fps elements shine and force you to use all that the game has been giving you throughout. Never did I feel like I had to use only one certain weapon - my whole arsenal was there for me to use.

    Some people don't like the marauders, but they just need to git gud. The marauders give that feeling of "OH S#*%!!!!" and I love it. Playing the game on pc on the Normal difficulty (Hurt Me Plenty) made the entirety of the game challenging but fun.    … Expand

    Doom Eternal is a breath of Fresh air to the franchise and while some smaller areas could use some work in order to get around a bit better i'd say over all this is far more adrenaline inducing and down right badass compared to the earlier iteration in the franchise. The weapon design is stellar as well as the sound design for the weapons. I'd have to say of my 27 years of PC gaming this is by far, the most intense, brutal, first person shooter I've ever played. The gunplay is TIERS above anything else available in the market. Also the story is great, for these people who said the story is bad.. they obviously didn't bother reading any of the codex as there is a lot of tie in to whats going on in those entries. Can't please everyone, but I most definitely recommend everyone giving this a try if you like fast paced, truely challenging and engaging gameplay with an absolutely breath taking set of visuals that sweep across countless different biomes and environments.

    Doom fez tudo que podia para evoluir. A nova mecânica é simplesmente estonteante, e nas maiores dificuldades exigirá que você use todo seu arsenal para sobreviver. Neste Doom, é necessário que você saiba usar a arma certa para o inimigo certo, e quem está acostumado com o antecessor, fica frustrado por ter de reaprender conceitos básicos - isso aconteceu comigo, e basta ver o pessoal aqui dando nota baixa tendo jogado pouco mais de uma hora.

    Os gráficos melhoraram consideravelmente e o desempenho é super satisfatório. Pude jogar a 144hz cravados em pelo menos 90% da gameplay com o preset no Pesadelo, numa RTX 2060 + Ryzen 1600. O jogo extrai muito do hardware e isso é magnifico de se presenciar.

    Voltando a gameplay, o Level Design mudou em alguns aspectos. Agora temos um mapa maior, cujo exige maior exploração e habilidades de movimento. Os inimigos são inteligentes e vão te encurralar o tempo todo. As habilidades, se selecionadas da maneira correta, ajudam muito na gameplay, como a finalização a longa distancia ou slow motion quando está com 1 de vida. Alguns inimigos novos são divertidíssimos de lutar contra, como o caçador, cujo um dos pouquíssimos counters é estar a distancia certa e esperar o momento certo a atacar.

    A trilha sonora está magnifica e viciante. Um ótimo trabalho que deixa tudo ainda mais marcante. Quanto a historia, ela não é o foco aqui, mas nos deixa curioso quanto ao passado do Doom e sua historia, e também nos deixa muito motivados sendo que muito acreditam no mito do titan.    … Expand

    This is the BEST DOOM game EVER MADE! Phenomenally addictive and challenging gameplay. Classic doom was good for its time, but now? not so much. You don't even have to aim in that game, it is a joke compared to DOOM ETERNAL. Also, DOOM ETERNAL is much better than DOOM 2016. Well done id Software.

These are exactly the sorts of games that I want.

    That said, I like DOOM 2016 a bit better overall myself. DOOM Eternal Lore is more like Diablo lore this time around seems to me.

    Mechanically, there are also two things I'd consider "regressions" from 2016. In 2016, you could animation cancel melee between shotgun blasts for example so it was something I eventually got into muscle memory and I actually really liked being able to do with different guns/between abilities/etc. In Eternal though, melee has been changed so that it essentially "does nothing" unless you're using your "finisher" or the "blood punch" feature -- so, animation cancelling doesn't do anything since the melee does -- it seems -- 0 or close to 0 damage outside those circumstances.

    Also, the chainsaw -- in 2016, on Nightmare/the harder difficulties you could strategically save the chainsaw for "bigger" threats/strategic difficult fights since it could be used on all enemies while in Eternal you can only chainsaw "basic" enemies and I actually hate that. Still, overall the game is still awesome and there are of course improvements in other areas and it runs really really well -- even totally maxed out at 1440p for me (though I do have a pretty beefy rig) -- like, zero stuttering and it's maybe the smoothest game I've ever played.

    TL;DR: Game is excellent and I recommend playing it. Also, go play DOOM 2016! Game is a masterpiece you should definitely pick up and play too.    … Expand

The ammunition is more scarce than in the previous one which forces you to use the chainsaw intelligently. I would have liked to see more boss fights, but the truth is that the ones that exist are very well done, in addition to the fact that the construction of each level and the appearance of new demons makes the game not feel repetitive at all, even despite that there are not so many bosses.
    The game also has secondary levels and challenges that offer playable rewards and high replayability, and by itself the campaign is fun enough to make you want to replay it on another difficulty, in fact I liked the game so much that at the time I played on PS4 and now that I switched to PC I bought it because the game is worth it.

    Better than 2016 version, and very different as well. More platforming and more emphasis on ammo farming.

    Definitely satisfying playing at harder difficulty setting.

    Este no es juego para mancos, mejor sigan en el fornite niños ratas, obvio que después de jugar solo fifas, cod, maincra y el ya nombrado fornite todos los juegos son difíciles. Dan asco, este juego es para alguien con una mínima habilidad, y que no busca jugar todo en nivel super fácil ya que es para débiles mentales.

    This is one of the best games I've ever had honor to play. Gunplay is amazing, soundtrack is awesome, platforming is suprisingly really good. Story is chapter for itself, they Made a game almost without any lore into fantastic space opera. Dont understand the crybabies here at all, thank you ID, keep up the great work. Looking foward to dlcs

    Great game, I loved it all. Ran flawlessly on a 4 year old pc on max settings at 60fps. Would highly recommend.

    An absolute masterpiece loved this game, the action, violence, movement and graphics are amazing.

Platrorming is ultrasatisfying and clever, it underlines heroic adventure even more. Lore is pretty solid story for Doom and it connects every Doom game apart of Doom 3. Music is perfect just as it was in Doom 2016. Doom Eternal captures theOne of the greatest FPS games ever created.     If you're looking for a deep and thought-provoking gaming experience that changes your outlook on life, look elsewhere. However, if you want a fast-paced, visceral shooter full of non-stop action and outrageous violence, you can't do better than Doom Eternal. If you liked 2016's offering you will love this follow up. It's a hell of a good time.

    Like Jason Statham’s character in Crank, Doom Eternal needs adrenaline every waking second. So long as you drown hordes of demons in their own blood, it feels like a perfect GOTY contender, but during quiet moments, Doom Eternal withers and forces you to ponder unpleasant questions. id Software needs to course-correct, otherwise we’ll be playing Super Doom Slayer’s Bros in a few years.
