Apr 3, 2020It's a downgrade to the 2016 release. The LORE is idiotic and tedious. Boss battles that become regular enemies? NO AMMO.
I really disliked it. -
Mar 25, 2020Overhyped piece of generic crap.
I don´t find it interesting, innovative, neither exiting. I´m amazed how low the press is always promoting garbage like this. Enemies are the crappiest design. This game is just another fps and inferior that the previous. I don´t giving a 0 because there's worse around, but this game is mediocre and more of the stupid same thing. -

Jul 28, 2020Nothing like Doom 2016, all the fun grinds to a halt as the designers force you to “play it their way” by using weak spots on enemy’s as the only way to kill them, super low amounts of ammo so you have to keep chainsawing then for more, uninspired levels too.

Apr 1, 2020Хотите поиграть в мясной шутер? не обольщайтесь - на 60% игра это тупорылый платформер, 10% сбор всякого мусора и 30% квейк-арен с мобами.

Feb 14, 2021Doom 2016 was a masterpiece. This doom eternal is a Mario with guns and rainbow flashes.
Also platforming puzzles in FPS (sic!) are straight time trash. I didn't buy this game to perform some fckn cryptic jumps. I've bought an FPS for fcks sake! -
Feb 3, 2023The game requires you to get close to the enemy and melee them to get supplies. This means you DON'T want to blow up your enemy. It's ridiculous for an action arena shooter to have this concept. I consider the gameplay broken.

Mar 22, 2020I loved the last game... This Doom makes me feel that I'm from an action-fantasy anime of some kind with a pinch of extra glimmer and shine for kids to enjoy. I think the fans are very disappointed.
PS: the soundtracks are still good tho. -

Apr 27, 2020It's an OK game, but there's too much jumping around. The graphics are nice, the enemies are varied, but to me, this isn't Doom because of the mechanics.
Doom 2016 was WAY better, making this a disappointing follow-up. -

Mar 25, 2020Combat is just not fun with the introduction of weak point, low ammo, constant use of chainsaw.
OST is nonexistent.
Tutorial at the beginning of the game feels a rush, too not-carefully made -
Mar 27, 2020For me, this game SUCK than DOOM 2016. New mechanics not need, they make gameplay hard more.

Mar 21, 2020The multiplayer...
no one's talking about it. Would be a 10 out of 10 if there was a traditional multiplayer, or atleast more then a single multiplayer gamemode, not to mention to mention the extreme lack of options for the one gamemode there is, absolutely no progression system aside from cosmetic stuff. Single player was legendary, it's just multiplayer was a extreme disappointment :( -

Mar 27, 2020I just can't. There is so much platforming, and even Mario style spinning fireball bars and climbing around on walls/fences, it doesn't feel like a proper shooter. The repetitive melee quick time events are in your face, over the top, and dull after the 50th time.
I want to shoot things in a shooter with enough ammo to keep shooting things.

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Jul 22, 2020The murderous amok simulator returns and is even more furious than before. Fantastic presentation and great fighting system are harmed only by annoying platforming sequences. [Issue#302]

May 1, 2020If you're looking for a deep and thought-provoking gaming experience that changes your outlook on life, look elsewhere. However, if you want a fast-paced, visceral shooter full of non-stop action and outrageous violence, you can't do better than Doom Eternal. If you liked 2016's offering you will love this follow up. It's a hell of a good time.

Apr 19, 2020Like Jason Statham’s character in Crank, Doom Eternal needs adrenaline every waking second. So long as you drown hordes of demons in their own blood, it feels like a perfect GOTY contender, but during quiet moments, Doom Eternal withers and forces you to ponder unpleasant questions. id Software needs to course-correct, otherwise we’ll be playing Super Doom Slayer’s Bros in a few years.
