The enemies are now brutal and the lone wolf perk makes the game harder than usual so you need to plan your battles carefully. Carrying a barrel of oil about your person at all times might help you out setting the battlefield. The banter between the characters is improved I believe. Even the dialogue checks are running better now than before.

The game comes highly recommended if you're in the mood for a semi-serious long CRPG with a slightly cartoony artstyle and a vibrant world full of colours.

I was turned off by the "childish" presentation and a fair bit of cheese in the dialogs and voice acting at the beginning, but man, was I wrong. The game has a vibe that takes me back to very early FF games, depth of tactical combat that challenges the best of the best, soundtrack that is so good I use some tracks as alarms and ringtones on my mobile, dialogue that doesn't take itself seriously and reminds me of Discworld a lot ... and coop ... coop that I can play with my wife and we never enjoyed shouting at each other and arguing about decisions we make in the game so much ... and that pretty much says it all. My wife plays games occasionally and got massively hooked only on Mass Effect and Dragon Age before, but Divinity took her, actually both of us by storm. It's the most simplistic, yet deep, childish, but serious, little but big adventure I had in gaming. Expand

Minus are stupid puzzles which I didnt like. And traps.

Superb story, superb settings, superb characterisation, superb quests, superbly paced.
I've played RPGs for years, from Morrowind to Fallout 4. D:OS took me back to the old school RPGs but with a contemporary feel.
Player choice is wide open, do what you want the way you want to. There is no right or wrong way to play. And this gives the game replayability (I like value for money lol).

I can forgive some silly dialogues when I enjoyed so much this title. It is one of the best turn based gems out there, the humor, the gameplay and the c&c make this game quite unique. It made me buy for the first time a game still in development, Original Sin 2, and this game too looks very promising. Great series well worth the money and the time.

Amazing RPG: an immense amount of choice, and strategic combat that thrills and satisfies. The story is extremely in-depth, as is the in-game lore in general (discovered through NPC’s, books, documents, etc.).

A trilha sonora é boa, porém extremamente repetitiva.

It has a few flaws, which I will list below, but scores big on the game play, which is off the charts good. Some people may well find these flaws offputting enough to give up on the game though, which is a shame.
The major positive is definitely the combat system. Not only is it original, but it also gives you plenty of freedom to experiment tactically, as well as with class composition. Try one thing and fail horribly. Make a small change and succeed. And this could be almost anything. Corner pulling ranged mobs, stealthing behind something to get a better angle on a nasty caster, using an available defensive spell on the right character at the appropriate time etc. There is never just one way of doing something, or for that matter of playing a class.
Another major plus is the music. Sadly the composer of this music, Kirill Pokrovsky, recently died prematurely. He will be tough to follow for whoever gets the job.

    +Pros:
-Graphics. Excellent spell effects, dynamic weather and superb character detail.
-Sound. Good FX but amazing music. This is how you are supposed to make music for a video game: by hiring someone who knows how to write it.
-Combat. Four elements from spells, traps, grenades, weapons and weather to combine for various effects. Fire+poison = explosions, ice+fire = water, water+air + electric fields etc. And there is obviously also physical damage vs defensive stats for melee. It is amazing and gets better and better as you learn how things work. It is also demanding combat that doesn't cheat or coddle you. And this is of course the perfect combat system for any game to have. Might frustrate people with little patience though. How rude!
-Class system and character development. Great depth and room for experimentation with each class. You can mix and match classes in whatever way you desire. Nothing is stopping you from multiclassing your hydromancer into melee combat at any point if you want to. This is so great. Freedom of choice is great, even if they occasionally are stupid choices.
-Dialogue. And lots of it, most of which is voiced for those who prefer that. If anything there might almost be too much dialogue sometimes, and especially because it is easy to miss critical information, particularly at the start of the game.

    Cons:
-The crafting system. This is an almost entirely useless part of the game for me. You don't NEED anything you can acquire from crafting, although some things can be useful, like cooking. And in return your bags will be permanently full of garbage you may or may not need later in the game. You'll also need tools of all sorts, like knives, buckets, cups of water etc, so you'll either have to store those things near a work station or carry them around with you, along with all the other trash you're carrying. It is time consuming, frustrating and annoying. Better to sell all your crafting related inventory trash to a vendor and do without.
-Overwhelming start. The opening part of the game is, to put it mildly, content rich. After a brief prelude on the beach, during which you may or may not obsessively collect every useless seashell on said beach, you are dumped into the game's biggest town and hub of activity. Starting out with an involved and time consuming murder investigation is demanding. But there are also about two dozen side quests and the main quest as well, all in a slightly confusing jumble. If you imagine that Baldur's Gate had started in, well, Baldur's Gate, this should give you some idea of the problem: you get the most mentally demanding part of the game before you actually know how to play the game.
-Steep combat difficulty curve. Not really a big negative, but early combat is a major hurdle for new players, and is challenging even once you get some experience with the game. Mistakes are punished hard with a combat system that doesn't negotiate. If you stand next to a barrel of poison when it explodes you will die. Instantly. Every time. Even I myself, a seasoned RPG enthusiast, felt almost...intimidated by the prospect of leaving town at first. There is a hump though, and once you're over it the combat is a lot more fun than frustrating. Levels 1-3 are just painful getting to that point.
-Occasionally very puzzle intense. This is a big negative for me because I don't like one bit being stymied by some obscure trap puzzle in RPG games. In general terms the conditions for advancement are occasionally far too specific, confusing and inscrutable for my tastes. The right key needs to be brought, the right spell be cast in precisely the right place, the right item in your bag, which you have long forgotten where you picked up, needs to be used, carried or combined with something else, or the correct portal must be entered. It drives me up the wall. More combat/exploration and fewer puzzles please!

New School RPG with an Old School Feel
Divinity Original Sin tells the story of 2 source hunters that you get to customize at the beginning of the game, customization is pretty basic so you’ll be lucky to get a character to match your likeness even a tiny bit
These source hunters are out to solve a town murder, but while solving this murder they’re sent down a path and realize they need to solve something much larger than this.
Before you play this game, you need to be self-aware with the kind of gamer you, because while this game is fairly new, the way it’s delivered isn’t.
    Don’t expect a top down Skyrim…
I was reminded many times of Pokémon, in the sense that every city you go to has its own story that still connects to the main story.., you set out on a journey and that’s it, you’re on your own, see you later or never, the game doesn’t care.
It will not hold your hand, other than marking the occasional few important places on your map for you to go check out
This is a 60 hour journey that you’ll need to figure your way through.
And the only way to do this is to listen to the conversations…
At first this doesn’t seem like too much to ask, but every character you run into talks longer than your mom does when she bumps into somebody she knows at a grocery store,
I’m almost certain 15 of the 60 hours was spent sitting through dialog..
You can skip through any and all, but this isn’t advised as again, it’s the only way you’re going to figure out where to go to next,
you have to literally immerse yourself into the game world to beat it... you have become your character…
That being said, if you don’t have the time or patience to literally almost live another life you’re not going to like this game….
Sure you can follow a guide, but who wants to do that for 60 hours?
Otherwise, you’ll find this game to be quite the masterpiece
You’re solving mysteries and puzzles, there are side quests that can help with main quests, tons of npcs to interacts and trade with, and you want to talk to every npc, helps them, get on their good side and sometimes be able to bring them along your journey..
Their help is much welcomed because outside the city walls the wilderness if full of enemies ready to kill you
Beyond the problem solving that’s going on, there is a turn based combat system here…
This fighting system is very simple to understand with tons of skills and spells to learn based on your characters skills that you get to freely choose as you level up...
You could easily turn a brute to a witch and vice versa….
Through shops, chests, and bookshelves, you’ll find tons of skill books to teach your characters new moves for battles…
You have your basic elemental attacks which come in handy since enemies do usually have a weakness, and the environment is completely interactive…
You can catch things on fire, blow them up, throw poison grenades, it’s all fair game...
My favorite though is the ability to summon creatures to help you…
By the end all 4 of my characters could summon at least 1 creature, while only 1 of the 4 were a witch…
You aren’t forced to stick to certain skills based on your characters stats... there is an insane amount of freedom here…
Still, it took me a little over halfway through the game to get my team so stacked... so for the first half I had to rely a lot on scroll, which can be used to regenerate a fallen member, summoned creatures, or do elemental attacks…
I did however feel that I was a little too over powered in the last 40% of the game…
I hardly had to think during battles..
It seems as though I’ve figure out the best strategy and it failed maybe 2 times onward…
but even the final bosses were a breeze…
This made the final few maps feel like a drag, and you kinda get to see just how repetitive the game real is…
Still the first half of the game can be insanely challenging at times….
some bosses 1 hit killing your entire team, having to force you to approach their rooms differently so all of your member don’t take the damage…
Luckily you can find some epic loot to help with elemental damage, give you some stat boosts, and if all else fails, there is a quick save feature to let you retry as many times as you’d like, or leave, stock up and come back…
The journey to the credits though is well worth it..
Especially since your characters feel so real to you
They will interrupt when they disagree with your dialog choices, causing you to have to rock paper scissors your way through a decision and this really an extra layer to the immersion..
OF course even better if this other person is sitting on the couch with you, as this game does support split screen coop as well
Despite feeling more like a puzzle game for the final half, Original Sin is one of the best RPGs in a long time.
But if you aren’t willing to put in the time and effort this game demands,
    I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it
I give Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition
    a 8.5/10

Larian designed encounters thinking that someone could always disagree, or ruin things for you, or even kill the NPC you need to talk to, meaning that quests have to be solvable in unorthodox ways.

The writing in Divinity is consistently top-notch. Sure, sometimes you’ll have to destroy a goblin riding a giant mechanical robot, or talk to a dog to solve a quest. But that dog may have a heartbreaking story for you, and maybe you’ll cry just a little. Larian commits to Divinity’s world, and that commitment pays off. This is the kind of freeform, epic, party-based RPG we haven’t had since the days of Ultima, and it’s exactly what true gamers love from an RPG.

This is a great game which really deserves a 10 for it's gameplay. the story is good but feels teenage oriented. but the story is not the reason you should play the game. you should play the game cause it has one of the best turn based rpg tactics ever. haven't enjoyed something like this in a long time. maybe da:o?
anyway, the reasons i give this a 9 and not a 10 are:

anyway, the reasons i give this a 9 and not a 10 are:
1.the game has a pacing issue. after initial fights there is waaaaaaaay to much talking before u should start more fights if u play completionist.
    2. there are still some really annoying bugs. mainly the chat system is crap. i have noticed 0 bugs playing single player but playing with a friend i had to reload the game about 10-20 times during a full playthrough to fix some aspect of the game that crashed. (e.g.: showing the player who joined the host have 0 ability points in everything except personality). nothing gamebreaking, unless ironman with a buddy. but you shouldn't multiplayer ironman. ironman is for single.

This is one of the most enjoyable games I have played in a long time. I must say, the game starts slowly, but boy, does it get fun after that. I see this as a merge between Xcom and Diablo. 2 of my favorite games combined into one. Fun writing, good graphics and fantastic mechanics. Highly recommended!

Already one of the greatest RPG games of all time, the new enhanced edition of Divinity: Original Sin improves the game on so many levels that it touches a level of almost absolute perfection.

Larian Studios has taken an already brilliant game and made it better. Original Sin Enhanced Edition is borderline perfect. [Dec 2015, p.59]
