May 25, 2013A very good expansion, if you liked the original game you should enjoy this one too. But what I didn't like much was the Ending Nothing wrong with that fight but this simply is not what I would call a complete story it is premature ending.

Apr 24, 2013Definitely worth picking up if you enjoyed the original game. The new protagonist is awesome, specially his voice, and his story ties well with the rest of the game. More of the same awesome gameplay, engaging story, nice art design and everything. Really a nice addon, though a little short in length.

Apr 20, 2013The environment and IP will keep you hooked. The stealth and spell mechanics are well done. I had more fun not killing every enemy in sight than you might think.

Oct 1, 2015Tier 1
+ Has all the positives of the main game
+ Further develops the universe of the series in a lot of interesting ways
+ Improves on the story and gameplay of the main game in every way
? Shorter than one would hope, but of course it's DLC -
Jan 22, 2022Out of place and unnecessary SJW propaganda at the end
Literally ruined the whole experience for me -
Apr 16, 2013Knife of Dunwall is more or less the same as the base game of Dishonored; well put together, but can be short depending on your playstyle. The only area that felt 'new' to me was the slaughterhouse, and the abilities/items added didn't really do a good job of differentiating Daud from Corvo. Still, a story about Dunwall is always welcome.

Apr 29, 2014The Knife of Dunwall is a great expansion of this rather interesting universe that puts together an interesting, if a bit of a half baked story. Daud is also a great character who is voiced by the always excellent Mr Blonde (Michael Madsen).

Sep 18, 2013Got this in the summer steam sale. I think I would have given this a higher score if I hadn't just beaten Bioshock Infinite right beforehand. Comparatively, this one nowhere near as compelling, especially where the story is concerned. I didn't finish the game out of boredom and having gone to play something else.

Apr 30, 2014Well, I am a fan of Dishonored, and I decided to buy this DLC. And it's really awesome. This story about Daud is perfect. This DLC helps you to understand his actions. If you have some money and Dishonored, you should buy it.

Dec 6, 2018A solid DLC, but a bit short. It will take you probably around 3 hours to complete. The first two levels are very fun and interesting, on par with levels from the original game. The final level is a completely recycled level from the base game and is extremely short. They justify it by making a couple very minor changes and packing it full of enemies to slow your progress.

Jul 3, 2018The Knife of Dunwall is a solid DLC all around.
Gameplay is the same as in the main game with few small changes, levels are a bit smaller and slightly less varied in terms of alternative approaches to goals, overall playthrough length is around 20% of the Dishonored campaign, which is fine for DLC. And the story was a bit better since it was less predictable and had more mystery to it. -

Oct 4, 2019A very high-quality and interesting addition to the first part of the game. Before playing the second part, I advise you to go through this game.

Dec 23, 2019Loved this dlc. Anyone who loved the main game, should play this! Pickens approves!
-
Mar 1, 2020The flip side of the coin is the story that happens. Passed, I liked it .

Sep 18, 2022Чуток изменили способности, а в остальном такая же игра с сохранением всех достоинств.

Feb 1, 2022This is more Dishonored, which is a good thing and a bad thing. I ultimately feel that if we're playing an assassin who leads over other assassins, we would get different powers. I played this on a low chaos run, but maybe feel I would have enjoyed it more on a high chaos run? I think the first and third levels are where this DLC shine personally, however it's not anything to rave about.
6.5/10 -
Nov 28, 2021Настоящий эпилог к великолепной первой части, который исправляет немного смазанную концовку основной игры.
-
Dec 13, 2021I'm sucker for seeing events in the game from another set of eyes and this is exactly that. You play as the villain of the first game and experience it from the other side. Perfect DLC.
-
Jul 3, 2022It is only good as a prologue to the Brigmore Witches.
Gameplay:
combat mechanics 8/10
stealth (w/o powers) 9/10
atmosphere 9/10
Gameplay as im.sim: 8/10
Story 7/10
Graphics (due to visual style) 9/10

Awards & Rankings
-
Jun 10, 2013Don’t expect to witness the events of the original game in a new light. Daud, the new player character, has a story of his own that is spread thin over three disappointingly short missions.

PC PowerPlayJun 4, 2013Some great level design and new abilities await those who take this welcome return to Dunwall, but we wish the visit lasted longer. [June 2013, p.90]

PC Gamer UKMay 31, 2013A disappointingly uneven offering. [June 2013, p.96]
