    An amazing sequel to a great game, Dishonored 2 would be absolutely phenomenal if it weren't for its plethora of terrible technical problems. Framerate drops, freezes and such are marring this brilliant game so much, the overall experience is hurt.

    Dishonored 2 is a substantial improvement over its predecessor and is an expertly crafted continuation from the first. With a plethora of choices and wonderful architectural puzzle design, Dishonored 2 is truly an immersive experience. It's just a shame it's held back by terrible and unfortunate PC performance.

    Dishonored 2 understands level design. That’s the takeaway here. Not much has been changed, especially if you’re playing Corvo. It’s just a bigger, bolder version of Dishonored, one mastercrafted stealth gauntlet after another paired with some excellent gimmicks. Oh, or it’s a shooter, if you want. But yeah, it’s mostly a fantastic stealth game that deserves better than its generic plot and terrible voice work...It’s a shame the game runs so poorly for so many people, as I just cannot justify giving the game an excellent score when seemingly half the audience (or more) is having issues.

    Having played through Dishonored I found little about its sequel to get excited about. The second game sticks too closely to the template established by the first for my taste.

    Dishonored 2 is a fantastic game. It may, in fact, be the best game you really shouldn’t risk buying right now, because right now it’s a technical mess. Yes, I hope a patch comes out soon which fixes a lot of these issues – but yes, I’m also worried that a lot of this is baked into the new Void Engine, and if that’s the case… well, this might be something to look into in a year or two. I’ll keep you updated, but for now, a definite “buyer beware” on an otherwise phenomenal game.

    Dishonored 2 is one of the smartest, most well-designed games released this year. If you fancy a challenge, this one is a no-brainer.

    Despite my complaints, this is more than a triumphant return – it’s an improvement on the original in almost every way, and as close to a masterpiece as anything I’ve played this year. If it had a plot as powerful as its setting, any doubts I have that it might be remembered as a masterpiece would vanish.

The story so far is fantastic and the level and art design provides fans of the original with an evolution on the original game's painted cityscapes.     Playing on an overclocked AMD 8320 @ 4.2ghz with a GTX 1060 6gb with 16gb of RAM and the game runs like a dog. Frame rates are all over the place, ranging from +80fps down to 20fps and lower with constant judder and a general unease which makes extended plays nauseating.. Changing visual settings has limited or no effect. Have had a couple of D3D crashes also which just adds to the problems. Have no idea what is going on as I'm sure there is a great game under it all but it is impossible to experience it in its current state. Really, really disappointed and cannot recommend it in it's current state. on the PC. Almost on a par with the Batman AK fiasco.… Full Review »
