Dicey Dungeons is quite an interesting game that I both like and dislike.

Starting off with the negatives; the game feels like it should be in early access. It's short, it need balancing changes, and it just altogether feels more like a really good concept that needs more work to see it's full potential. I beat a run on my second attempt and the whole time I was waiting for the game to

It's short, it need balancing changes, and it just altogether feels more like a really good concept that needs more work to see it's full potential. I beat a run on my second attempt and the whole time I was waiting for the game to actually get hard as I was still using the things I started out with and was breezing through it. On top of that once I did beat it I was seriously expecting that there would be more floors leading up to another boss but no, that was it. The game really feels like it is lacking.

Now with all that said, it's still a fun experience. I enjoyed my run despite feeling it was too easy and too short. The combat is fun and innovative and it really feels like a good concept that could be great just given some more thought. With how it is though it's more of a casual game. Things are easy and you can beat a run in a very short amount of time. This is certainly a good one to grab so you can just pick it up and play a run or two every now and then to kill some time. Just don't expect a challenge or enough time to really get a good build going.

I don't enjoy playing the later characters in the game. I want to build on one character rather than play a bunch to unlock the next stage.

Dicey Dungeons, a deckbuilder and kind a roguelike game.

I like the game's idea. It's pretty rare and well done for a one man studio. You'll play five different class of dice and trying to escape the dungeon. The main difficult is combined correct items and manage your deck well. Once you gather correct cards (items) around, the rest is comes. Although game design is enjoyable,

Although game design is enjoyable, The game turns into a boring game with long game time, too simple art design, lack of animations, bad color shame etc..

Despite game has too many lacking part, i think still deserves to play few hours.

A fun game with a simple gameplay and a nice artistic design. I would have liked to have more content because the games become short and repetitive as the hours go by.

Finished my first play session of about 4 hours, and for the $5 I spent it was already worth it. Solid game and it does the rogue-like deck-building genre well. Would probably recommend against paying full price.

Dicey Dungeons is a charming, fast and cheerful roguelike that has more to offer than you might think at first. No two runs are alike. Dicey Dungeons also respects your time. In just under half an hour you dice your way to the end.

There's always something new to prod at, to see exactly how the game's rules have been twisted this time. [Issue#337, p.110]

Under its goofy premise, Terry Cavanagh's new production is a very well designed title. Really strategic and offering a huge display of combinations, Dicey Dungeons can also be a little frustrating as we can win or lose on a roll of a dice.
