    Couldn't even launch the game from the first day. With computer well over minimum spec I was wondering what was the problem. I found there were thousands more like me who shares the same issue. We made official forum thread and some of us suspected that the problem is that our CPU doesn't support AVX. Blizzard told us if our problem is caused by AVX, we will get a fix because including AVXCouldn't even launch the game from the first day.     Complete disappointment, if you have d2 and d2lod you don't need this, i expected better graphics and honestly, a less buggy opening. its just reworked art built on a flimsy engine.

    The game way to buggy for online some how I lost my character after beating all of Tristram. Randomly my friends and me would get kicked out of the lobbies. There were some other instances of running into a unkillable mobs the game is almost as bad warcraft 3 reforged.

    Bought and refunded the game because of the AVX debacle. Stay away from any Blizzard game during launch and play only after they fix their game.

    Game looks great but plays like ****

    One of the biggest problems I have with the reskin of the game is the walking paths. It's very annoying when monster or terrain frequently get in the way of my character. There have been many times where I've had to back up just to try and get around rocks or blocked doors. Reskinning the game, great.     Blizzard releases minimum requirements for the game months ago. Beta works flawlessly.
    Somehow between Beta and the official release, they make AVX a system requirement. Early indication by Blizzard was that it was accidentally turned on and it would be fixed in 24 hours. The 80 value is misleading as someone may mistaken a critic as someone who is impartial and not biased by a questionable loyalty to a brand. People who bought D2:R due to Blizzard's legacy online experiences, will be greatly disappointed.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. -5 they didn't fix the "nham bug' , this bug broke 80% melee builds with shields(block)and passives like evade/dodge,and hit interruption animation.
    -1 for man-amazon and unnatural assasin
    -1 for didn't fix whole bugs from alpha and beta,some of those bugs i was reported more than twice and what i see?-This bugs in release version,just 0 work on it
    -1 the game starts with "Failed to enter game.This character is alredy in a game on the server.Pease try again later." ofcourse if you had a chance for make a character and start play.
    -1 for web-side/server-side bugs,character losts,can't connect and server "wipes"
    -1 for graphic/texture bugs like minimap from previus game on current minimap,invisible walls wich brokes spell casts,teleport to textures above location and "stuck".
    P.S i know maybe in future this all bugs will fixed,but all of this bugs was reported to ingame bug tracker when was alpha and beta tests,why they do nothing with this bugs?Just nothing and released game "as is" whit whole bugs and errors,i can understand it if blizzard was indie-game developer,and price for this game was somthing like 9.99eur but is giant studio Blizzard and game for 39.99eur.Disrespect!    … Expand

Fool me once, Blizzard, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

    Unplayable for now.     Пришлось регистрироваться, что бы оставить отзыв. Я шокирован тем, что пришлось ощутить.
    1- Игра позволяет себе лагать на PS5. Что происходит на ПК или ПС4, не знаю.
    2- Игра не запустилась на игровом Пк. 3- Игра не запустилась на втором игровом ПК. 4- После двух дней игры на ПС5 персонаж просто удалился и я остался просто ни с чем. 5- Деньги за ПК версию так и не вернули......    Пришлось регистрироваться, что бы оставить отзыв. Я шокирован тем, что пришлось ощутить.

    2- Игра не запустилась на игровом Пк.
    3- Игра не запустилась на втором игровом ПК.

    Giving this game such a low rating is really hard for me, but I have to come out and say that Blizzard just simply dropped the ball on this release.     Beta worked almost perfectly, and I was pretty satisfied.... But in between the open beta and the full release THE TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS HAD CHANGED so there were thousands of people unable to play... That just straight out borders on FALSE ADVERTISING.

    You cannot show a game that works on beta, only to turn around and change that.
    Beta is supposed to be basically a done game with minor issues.. What the heck is wrong with this company?

    This review is not for the game itself, as I absolutely love D2, and eventhough they changed some things in the Ressurrected version, I would still absolutely love the time spent in game.

    This review is bottom of the barrel because Blizzard are a company who lives off old IP, but themselves seem completely incapable of most things.

    You had one job.. and you fudged it up so supremely thatI'm sure a team of dedicated fans could have done it better.    … Expand

    Я даже не смог это купить, при том что совершенно с теми же данными делал покупку COD MW несколько месяцев до этого теперь же battle.net не принимает мою карту с дословной ошибкой "Ой что то не так!" Служба поддержки запросила с меня все мои документы личные данные и в итоге предложила воспользоваться пайпалом....Я даже не смог это купить, при том что совершенно с теми же данными делал покупку COD MW несколько месяцев до этого теперь же battle.net не принимает мою карту с дословной ошибкой "Ой что то не так!"     Quite simple. Blizzard promised greater mod support than the original and a multiplayer method to play those mods through LAN-Open.Net-TCP/IP. What we got is neither of those things.

    Для меня, Диабло 2 Ressurrected - новая игра, и мне… понравилось. Она меня затянула. Она красиво выглядит. И после нормала я буду изучать Endgame контент.

    И хоть от современной Blizzard давно не выходило ничего стоящего, Ressurrected могу порекомендовать всем, кроме олдфагов у которых забрали их любимые ж*пы.

    Надеюсь увидеть что нибудь подобное в Диабло 4.    … Expand

    This game could be great, but it just isn´t. The stability of the client and even more so for the servers is not even acceptable for a beta test, yet they released it in this way. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Diablo II resurrected until they solved their problems and removed they queue.

    I loved the original, but my biggest problem was server stability. They never bothered to fix their 20 year old servers. I was hoping the new one to work better. And sure, new online game always has issues. But its been two weeks since release, almost 3 at the time of writing, and servers are down every day for multiple hours. On top of that there are random crashes, rollbacks. This is ridiculous.

    Nice graphics, poor servers, ugly characters and terrible censorship. We get a game with tons of gore, bloody everything, dismembered naked bodies lying around and then we can't see women's legs, underboob or shirt cut. What the actual hell is this?

    The QoL changes are great, and so are the improved graphics, very well done 10/10.

    A Re-skin of the original, nothing else, nothing was fixed, Combat is still sluggish and slow, not sure what they actually did other then the graphics. its not a remaster, its a Re-skin. Could of fixed a lot of things but didn't. A quick cash grab is all it is.

Enemies rubberband and can teleport into you so you get stuck or worse insta-killed. For me this is a definitive refund if blizzards policy was a bit more lax:/ As a genuine D2 fan im really disappointed and this was the last strawThe game is barely playable.     Diablo 3 launch issues were resolved in hours. This 20-year-old game remastered has desperate fans waiting a week to get past the play button. As of me writing this, Monday is the day they have set for a "possible" fix.

    Мне в своё время очень нравилась вторая дябла, был очень заинтересован в ремастере. Даже бету поставил, поиграл, побегал, понравилось. Работало не как часы, но работало. Наступает день выхода, я покупаю игру... А она не запускается. На том же компе, что я играл в прекрасно в бету. Иду в интернеты, там близзы пишут, мол извините, мы между бетой и релизом прикрутили какие-то AVX, бесМне в своё время очень нравилась вторая дябла, был очень заинтересован в ремастере.     Ладно, думаю, чините. День жду, два жду. От близзов почти полная тишина на эту тему, в основном обсуждают, что игра сломана в сетевой части, персонажи пропадают и прочая. Нас таких, у которых игра не запускается на форуме тыщи, а они молчок. Ну нафик, думаю, оформлю возрат средств. Вернул деньги, а сам поглядываю на форум техподдержки, не исправили ли. И ещё два дня проходит, не исправили, и тут...

    Пишут уже - у кого этих AVX'ов нет, вы вообще не подходите под системные требования. Вдруг. Хотя раньше 1) нигде в системках про эти авиксы не писали (и сейчас, кстати, не пишут) 2) сами говорили вначале, что это не запланированная фигня, и они всё починят. Наглость 80 уровня. Сами понимают, что банально развели кучу народу, понимают, что мы это понимаем, но всё равно на голубом глазу меняют свою позицию на 180 градусов и мы теперь сами виноваты. Слов нет. Рад тому, что всего два дня тянул с рефандом, жалею, что вообще решил купить дяблу эту у нынешних близзов.

    Они просто игроков держат за полных дебилов, раз позволяют себе такое поведение. Или уже махнули рукой совсем на свою репутацию и им хоть чего бы урвать напоследок.     Looks like it would be fun, if the game would actually launch. Sadly, devs decided to change the system requirements post-beta. But it was an accident. Or not. Yes, definitely unintentional, but also these are the requirements, so it's players' fault somehow. They can't even settle on one narrative. Pretty bad launch, but not a surprise for the washed up company that used to be Blizzard.

    Technical issues with the servers aside - the game is far away from the classic.

    The movement is optimized for controller. You'll reconize it pretty fast when playing as a melee, cause the character box is bigger, you'll block each other melee party member often. Walking close to along a wall and the movement feels weird, like disoriented.

    3 days later and the game still doesn't work... I have not been able to get into a game for the last 3 hours. It's been a nightmare half the time spent on this game, whether it's CTDs, overlapping maps (markers appearing that make no sense, like waypoints and other things) or just not being able to play at all... This is just too much bs to put up with.

    There's a rumor that the problem might be some AVX implementation that older processors cant run but that was never mentionned in the requirements (but i am a total noob regarding IT and PC, so i dont quiet understand whats the not-instantly-repairable problem here).
    And while this game suffers not only from problems mentionned above but also from deleted or rollbacked characters, characters stucked in servers without being playable for hours and the usual launch-bugs & -glitches.... well, Blizzard thought it would be a very nice idea to take our money and then taking the weekend off, without any Day&Nightshift during first launchdays.
    You might be willing to say that also devs need some time off after hard work. Yes, you are right.
    Also devs should take days off after hard work....if there was hard work. A game and this state has nothing, really nothing to do with hard and honest work. And apparently, they did not even fix the problems mentionned by the players during the beta. Changing the look of the characters to the worse, yes, that seemed to be their priority, though.
    You know, i dont gonna say anything regarding CEOs and investors because i would not say anything nice about them. And yes, maybe moneygreedy Blizzard thought that this remastered Cashgrab didnt need enough devs to be great and maybe the team was just to small to make it work eventually. But if this is what you as developers are bringing to the table after months and years of (re-)work....then you deserve the crunch.
    Blizzard was once the holy grail of the game-industry. But that seems to be over, unfortunately. What's left is just a empty shell of a great gaming-company sleeping on its wornout franchises, not going with the time regarding crossplay (which should be / is standard now for most multiplayer games but isnt implemented in Diablo 2: Resurrected), destroyed by its bad reputation, ruled by moneygreedy losers that need the money because they dont have anything else to brag about, filled with devs without any love and passion, not able to get a simply remastered version of an 20 years old game running for most people...
    What's left to say? Well, i cant say anything more about the game because on the 4th day after launch, i cant still get it running. And at Blizzard, nobody seems to care but that's no wonder, they all took their weekend off...
    If you are in the same situation as me but really want to know what the game is like,...then go watch all those unemployed clowns named "streamers" getting paid for playing videogames and apparently getting their own set of servers, because they all seem to have no problems running and playing this game while others, MANY others, cant even launch this piece of crap.    … Expand

Не, это нам не под силу, мы не коверкаем оригинал, мы уважаем своих фанатов и классику!

    А цензура насилия (Игра +18 про Ад и тёмное фэнтези)? Сменить расу некоторым персонажам (Убийцы азиатки, а Паладин стереотипный афроамериканец)? Сделать героев очень старыми? Испортить им анимации (Вы видели как бегает Амазонка? А некромант, едва волочащий ноги?)? Исковеркать лица? Изуродовать женских персонажей и врагов? Удалить TCP/IT и игру без подключения к интернету? Сделать недоступными любые OC, кроме Win 10? Облажаться на старте с серверами при отлично работающих альфе/бете?Изуродовать графику ориг. игры, чтобы ремастер смотрелся лучше? Закрыть задницы демонам и женщинам всякими юбками и штанами? Соврать, что дизайн и лица спорных персонажей будут переделаны, а в трейлерах просто изменить освещение? Добавить огромный экран с персонажем в меню игры? Не переносить лицо Изендры из Diablo 3 для Сорки, а придумать новое? Убрать поддержку модов? Это же именно то, чего так не хватало оригиналу!

    Безусловно, графика и спецэффекты сделаны замечательно, звук тоже. Спасибо за русскую озвучку. Но они не должны были портить лор и дизайнерские решения оригинала (Персонажей можно было не старить, Амазонку не превращать в мужика с уродской анимацией бега и выпадами копья, азиатские черты и афроамериканские для Убийцы и Паладина, цензуру оставить опцией, которую можно было бы выключать в меню). Я люблю, соответствие изначальному замыслу (Кто-то говорил, почему меня не смущала азиатка Сорка из D3? Но ведь её задумали такой изначально!) Если вы коверкаете героев, то почему оставляете им старую озвучку? Разве качок Чарси разговаривала бы с нами таким милым голосом? А Амазонка?). Амазонка была молодой и красивой? Сделайте её такой и в ремастере, Герои были молоды, ибо они только-только начинали свой путь, не имея с собой ничего.

    Я очень хотел бы поставить D2R высокую оценку, но это дело принципа, ибо только низкой оценкой можно хоть как-то достучаться до компании (Десятки популярных тем на оф. форуме не помогли, попробуем иначе).     I see it as my duty to warn you. The game is a buggy mess at the moment and we are talking about serious issues. You can lose hours of gameplay or even worse your character does not reappear when you want to continue. It is infuriating if you get the message “The Character is already in a game” when it is not true. There are also cases were launching the game crashes it. Other issues are vanishing items, freezes, connection problems and slowdowns atop of some gameplay glitches. I advice you to wait a few weeks until it is patched or just play the original game. The patches seem to take a while as Blizzard is still figuring out how to solve the issues. Diablo 2 is a great game with a huge legacy but in this state even that can prevent a low rating. I loved the game and do not even know how many hours I have played in all the years. It is a shame that games were released in such a state and people even defending it. You would never do this with a new car that does not work or just randomly. I conclude this with: Just wait until it is in a playable state and rethink if you should really defend such awful practices.… Expand

    I have invested around 25 hours in the game. However, I have lost all my progress/item/experience of my "offline" character, TWICE, due to problems in Blizzard servers. The only thing a game should provide is to keep this safe and it did not. I do not want to continue playing a game knowing that my efforts will be undone with no follow up support. I requested a refund.

    мне 36 лет и я застал оригинал Diablo 2. Переиздание поиграл бесплатно до предзаказа и это дичь полнейшая. Игра устарела по всем фронтам. Морально ,геймплей и даже с обновлением графики. Не понимаю как в 2021 можно играть в это

    There is no e-shop in the game. How can i sell items? For 20 years Blizzard cannot reduce this problem. Some people have great money, but not we are. Make stable instrument for civil trade in 2021. One point for good graphic restore.

Their support team voiced that this was unexpected behavior and they'd work on a fix ASAP. It turned a hyped up launch day into utter disappointment. Even if you met the AVX requirements many people were still robbed of their chance to level with theirBeta worked fine but when launch day came many of us weren't able to run the game anymore due to AVX becoming a last minute requirement. Waited 4 days for them to fix it with next to no updates about when or if there would ever be an update to fix it before applying for my refund. Maybe I'll repurchase later if/when they fix it but for now the games a zero for me. Wouldn't suggest buying if your computer doesn't support AVX unless you're interested in playing with the play button that never works!… Expand

    Diablo II: Resurrected is far from perfect. The changes in character design are likely to rile up returning players, and the archaic gameplay probably won’t agree with younger generations weaned on more streamlined, sophisticated experiences. While I appreciate that this legendary title is now available in an improved format, it’s not a caveat-free recommend.

    Diablo II: Resurrection is outdated return of the legend, but it brings such a perfect atmosphere and such a wonderful audiovisual processing, that serie fans will be excited.

    Diablo II returns with refreshed graphics and unaltered gameplay (apart from some small improvements). It’s as fun as I remembered, so I quickly felt at home and gave in to nostalgia. However, it’s hard not to notice that beneath revamped visuals lies a 21 years old design. [12/2021, p.32]
