Aug 25, 2022I came here to slay demons with style, not to solve boring repetitive puzzles, wandering in mazes and watch pointless long cutscenes. Also, this special edition for PC does not featuring full mouse-keyboard support and graphics actually sucks.

Feb 20, 2020A decent character action game with average visuals and story. Reasonable entertaining.

Oct 24, 2015The PC version of Devil May Cry: Special Edition is so "special" it doesn't offer in-game mouse support. No amount of story or gameplay can make up for this utter failure.

CD-ActionSep 18, 2015DMC4SE does not improve the gameplay as much as DmC: Definitive Edition did, it does not offer the spectacle God of War is famous for, but I assure you that in no other game building combos is so much fun. [09/2015, p.42]

PC PowerPlayAug 9, 2015A fun distraction buck lacks enough depth to keep your attention for too long. [Aug 2015, p.65]

Jul 28, 2015Devil May Cry 4 has not aged that well. Too much backtracking, boring riddles and the dull levels affect the fun overall. The gameplay instead still feels fresh and the action is really cool in 60fps. The new characters in the Special Edition are also really good, but when you play the story with them, they do not appear in the cut-scenes which looks weird. Overall Devil May Cry 4 is still a good game, but if you have played it before, you definitely do not have to buy the Special Edition. The new elements do not affect the game that much.
