    This game is great it includes all the best weaponry of WWII and uses the steam source engine, it can't get much better than this.

    graphically is the best game I've ever seen. with HDR and more detailed models is even better than Half-Life 2, Doom 3, or F.E.A.R. The sound effects are also incredible and the gameplay is excellent, very tactical and varied. I enjoy it much more than Counter Strike.     This game is truly awsome with the best graphics out there. The sound is also breath taking as u here the bullets come by taking away friends. I absolutely love this game all around.

    This is the best game i played for a long time. The weapons are great, the gameplay is really fun. This is a game my wife will not like :-)

    Team based play is a must for this game,if your mg, assult or rifle,there is always a enemy to counter attack your actions,so its be quick or be dead.excellent detail in player models and maps. and the shock nade affect is awsome,what a way to flush the enemy out, in to your gun fire.

    This is one of the most fun games i think i have ever played. Smooth graphics and funny rag doll physics make this game good, but great gameplay, good controll and authenticity make it freeking sweet. I am buying ASAP!

    only ting missing is bulletproof stuff and face update. tis game is much better dan counter-strike. counter don,t got MG leg zandbags or and other. plus no cover on groud. and not much radio commandts to say grannette take cover and ohter.

Unlike CSS, Day of Defeat is a game which is always intense and doesnt leave you waiting for a long time while your team finishes the round. Instead, your always in the battlefield no matter how much you die which creates a setting in which lots of people can take place in a 30 minute bloodbath....WW2 DoD is a game that combines great graphics, great gameplay, and great environments.     Great game! best old world game i've ever played, i even think it's better that all of the call of duty's. the music theme for when you first get into the game is the best i've ever heard.

    Great game, but I'd love to see the British team again, maybe you could add a sovjet team as well and add some new maps, would be great for the game to get 2 new teams to choose.

    I was usually at the bottom of any server score list, but it was ALWAYS a blast! Loved sneaking behind the allied lines and scoping with the fg42. Best mod next to Natural Selection (get that too!)

    Been playing this for almost 6yrs and it's awesome. Best part about it is throwing their nades back at them an seein how many you can kill. Even more fun with Friendly Fire on and killing an enemy throwing a grenade and have them kill their own team from it. You know ya wanna buy it , go on , that's right , do it right now. Beware a of the Woody with primed nades.Been playing this for almost 6yrs and it's awesome. Best part about it is throwing their nades back at them an seein how many you can kill.     usually in some games teamwork helps, but in this game it is necessary and in the proccess of taking over a flag, u c ur teammates around u get shot and dye or c their helmet fly off. Very Realistic

    This new DoD uses the new engine to it's fullest! I feel like an Army recruiter and constantly ask my friends and co-workers to pay the small amount of $20.00 for this game. I even offer to buy the game off of them if they don't eventually love playing it. The simple commands and fast action make this my favority on-line shooter. The BF games always took too long to load up, This new DoD uses the new engine to it's fullest!     one of the best 1st person shooters and war time gaems around, realy realistic and doesn't require to download hunks of mp3's. realy easy to have playable mods, that actuly work on another persons server.

    This game is nothing short of pukker... Its current 80 rating is unjustified. I played it on the free weekend and literally played it all weekend. It is hard to start with as sniping is a major part to the game however whereas in CSS its frustrating and hard to find cover going prone and crawling for cover is all part of the intense fun.     The best WW2 mod available due to size of maps and the array of weapon choice. The HL engine runs the greatest out of all FPS. Battlefield makes a close 2nd to this game.

    This is one of the best games I had played yet. I see that there is almost 2,000 servers up on this game and only a few hundred on HL2DM.

    WW2 multiplayer action at its best. Fast paced action, awesome source engine, and realistic weapon behavior make this game a real winner. bullets really hurt in this WW2 game. 2 or 3 shots will kill you. not like other games where you can get hit 20 times, live get health packs, and then keep on fighting as if there is no tomorrow. Kudos do Valve, who have done it once again.

    I LOVE IT! Only thing I miss is that the game should have more Nations (Russia, Japan or GB) and that you should can find some granates in boxes on every map.

    Been playing for years now, although I liked it better before Valve took over, I still play every night, and I always play avalanche. Proof that playing the same map, over and over and over and over again for years is still FUN!

    I love this game, most negative feedback comes from players who are not accustomed to the playstyle and because of that get owned by more experienced players. And btw the hitbox issue was fixed in the 2nd or 3rd patch if I remember correctly. New maps have also been added to the game. Some "Camper Strike" players have lots of difficulties adapting to this game because camping and sitting I love this game, most negative feedback comes from players who are not accustomed to the playstyle and because of that get owned by more experienced players. And btw the hitbox issue was fixed in the 2nd or 3rd patch if I remember correctly. New maps have also been added to the game. Some "Camper Strike" players have lots of difficulties adapting to this game because camping and sitting in a corner is heavily discouraged (in fact it is impossible to win a round without capturing locations aka flag capping).… Expand

It has a weapon for everyone. It is a team based game where if you don't work as a team you lose. DODS has two different modes of play point capture, and attack and defend objectives.     This game has amazing grahpics for the source engine. Its somewhat evened out but not to much but still they did well on this for the year but theres always mods to edit it which is nice cause the encluded the sdk thing, So yeah id rate this very well i hope that u make another day of defeat (dod,dod:s) just make it so those guns have less of a kick back its somewhat a lil to much and theThis game has amazing grahpics for the source engine.     THE WW2 war game online! It's a real, fantastic simulation of WW2. Graphics is very good, as well the phisyx effect. Need just 10$ to buy it, but it's worth more!!! Buy it if you like war game FPS

    I expect to be playing DoD a lot more than "Couterstrike: Source"... I recommend DoD:S to the multiplayer action crowd, but don't come crying to me when things start getting stale.

    While the game still needs some patching, and is unfortunately not DoD as we know it, this is still an absolutely fantastic package; those after a new multiplayer shooter can’t really go wrong with this one. Oh, and expect this score to go up over time as Valve patches out various problems.
