    I have not played the other parts of this series. I decided to play the third part because I read that it has elements of SoulsLike. I didn't finish it to the end. The gameplay didn't catch on. The story wasn't interesting either. Didn't like the controls. The game is not bad, but it didn't grab me.

    It's a game with insane combat that flirts with Souls Like, in addition to having a very good and intuitive progression system, it lacked better elaboration of the maps and making them more specific, otherwise, a very good game.

    Até pela diferença grande de tempo entre cada um deles, o 3 possui gráficos um pouco melhores em comparação aos anteriores. Cenários mais detalhados armadura e arma um pouco mais detalhadas, Mas nada que encha os olhos e mostre uma tremenda evolução. O que é feio na minha opinião são as expressões faciais... essas são bem ruinzinhas.

    ---== História ==--
    Segue diretamente o acontecimento dos jogos anteriores, portanto é muito recomendado que jogue o Darksiders 1 e 2 (até porque são bons). Infelizmente o jogo agrega pouca coisa nova a lore do jogo, tanto que os Boss aparentemente são completamente irrelevantes pra história. Porém ainda sim a sequencia de eventos é divertida, existe uma evolução da Fury e o fim tem uma conexão forte com os jogos anteriores e deixa um gancho maravilhoso pro 4.
    Resumindo: poderia ser bem melhor, mas é ok.

    ---== Gameplay ==--
    Confesso que estranhei no começo por ser diferente dos demais, porém não sou daqueles que acredita que uma sequencia não possa ter uma forma diferente de gameplay. Nesse jogo a importância de pensar antes de amassar botões é bem importante, bem como o treino de esquiva, nas dificuldade maiores qualquer inimigo é perigoso se não se atentar a esquiva.

    Existem mais tipos de armas que nos anteriores porém acredito que a forma de progressão do jogo te obrigue a escolher o chicote e +1, pois os recursos para evolução são escassos portanto eu pelo menos foquei apenas no chicote e no martelo pois ele quebra defesa.

    A exploração ainda existe nesse jogo porém ela também é diferente. Não existe um mapa para poder se guiar e as referencias são as serpent holes do Vulgrim. Toda a exploração é numa região "pequena" da Terra podendo adentrar subsolo, catacumbas e etc.
    Até por conta do cenário em ruínas não existe uma exploração épica, ou mudanças grandes nos cenários como quando reativamos a Maker's Forge no 2.
    No 3 é necessário utilizar a variação de poderes para solucionar os puzzles porém na minha opinião os puzzles do 2 eram muito mais legais.

    Agora uma coisa que achei um absurdo é que em 2023 quando joguei esse jogo ainda é MUITO frequente a queda de fps. Já é travado em no máximo 60 fps, mas em alguns momentos chegou a 35 fps em um pc com 32GB de RAM, RTX 3060 TI e Ryzen 7 5800X. Acho um absurdo a frequência com que essas quedas aconteciam.

    ---== Resumo ==--
    Trata-se de um bom jogo, com uma história ok dentro de uma lore muito boa, as mecânicas desagradaram muitos jogadores antigos da franquia, porém não acho que elas sejam ruins, apenas diferentes.
    Poderia ter um equilíbrio melhor na progressão para que valesse a pena utilizar todas as armas, mas nada que comprometa.
    As DLCs agregam um conteúdo bem interessante, com o Crucible já conhecido e a Keepers of the Void com foco em exploração e com uma recompensa muito boa. Recomendo muito pegar o pacote com as duas expansões.
    Comprei a versão Deluxe por R$23,49 e senti que valeu DEMAIS a pena o que recebi x o valor pago.

    Has lost its charm from Darksiders 1 and 2. Combat has been dumbed down for casuals and difficulty spikes are very soft. The sense of epic battles between divine creations is no longer there and you cannot help but feel the future of Hack and Slash games is just being cut down.

    I feel sad about what they have done with this one.

    An excellent continuation of the series. The gameplay perfectly conveys that we are playing for a less powerful but more agile rider. The design of the locations resembled Dark Souls 1, which is very pleasing, as in the game, as in the previous parts, there are a large number of puzzles. Very nice graphics and beautiful bosses.

    I would rate this game higher if it didn't make you lose the collected souls and used items when you die. If the developer reads this, you should keep to old Darksiders way, which was similar to God of War & Prince of Persia, and should stay away from the souls-like genre, in my opinion.

    This is the third game in the Darksiders franchise. You play as Fury, she is a hot-headed character with very few likable character moments in the game. The story revolves around her catching the seven deadly sins which have escaped their prison. The overall game is good and continues the story of the aftermath of the destruction of Earth

    Basically just the ugly parts of darksiders one.. builsdings, subways, wood.. and one gorgeous underwater level.. but this is definitely the lowest effort game in the trilogy… no horse this time, just follow the skull on the map, do annoying frustrating not fun at all puzzles, and take down the 7 deadly sins which was the coolest part to me.. I was excited to see the twist of each one.. and sadly its just a run of the mill boss battle, .. the character design can be cool, but the battles are super lame.. as you progress the story youll unlock 4 different forms, a fire that can help you jump hier, electric that can help you levitate, some purple rock smashy power, and finally a power that lets oyu walk on water… and what does the game do with these powrs? They annoy you.. especially in the final few hours, forcing you to juggle them, hit this with this form, quickly switch to this form mid puzzle to freeze it in time to progress,.. mind you.. transforming is not intuitive, you gotta hold and press certain buttons all while making ssure youre zoomed in with the boomerand and selecting with l2 and throwing with r2 all while holding l1 down and going through the face buttons trying to remember who is who.. I hted it.. I hated every time a puzzle required 2 chracters simultaneously to solve… other than that I love the darksiders formular of collect osuls, spend them on upgrades, its as addictive here as it is in the previous games..
    I midly enjoyed my time here, tracking down the 7 deadly sins, but wow did darksiders go from AAA potential to single A real quick
    I give Darksiders 3
    a 6.5/10

I don't understand people who mix this game with **** Of course, like any slasher, this game is capable of strangling at some point. For me, it was the boss moment - Greed. And so in general, very useful mechanics, albeit an oblique slasher. So I recommend it.

    Graphics:
    While the graphics are nothing to write home about, they aren't too bad. Character models, especially Fury and the seven sins, are great. The real problem stems from performance issues. The game constantly drops frame rates, stutters and freezes for 5-10 seconds while loading new assets/areas during gameplay. There's no reason why a game with such basic graphics should struggle to run 5 years into a console generation. It's just poorly optimised and there's no excuse for that.

    Gameplay:
    This is probably the worst part of the game. The combat has been patched and now includes a "Classic" mode which is much better than the default mode. Still, even with this classic mode, the combat is extremely poor in this game. Very unresponsive and the game and camera just don't allow for multiple enemies. When fighting groups, it's easy to be blindsided and attacked by enemies you can't see. This is made worse by the fact your health drains so quickly. Really, why does health drain so fast in this game? Just scrap the health bar and give us 3 hit boxes instead. Also, items don't work whilst your in an animation. Be that a combo, or being hit by enemies. I've died countless times while spamming up on the D-pad to use a healing item but it wouldn't register as i was in some animation loop from being hit to death by multiple enemies. There's no map, making exploration a little frustrating at times. it's also makes knowing where to go next impossible at times. The Metroidvania aspect of the game does work well. Making it fun to explore old areas with new abilities to see what secrets you can find. The save system on this game is utter garbage. It auto-saves (usually but not always) when you reach Vulgrim at one of his serpent holes. And when you quit the game. However, i have loaded saves up several times and had to replay anything from 15 minutes to over an hour again because it hadn't saved.

    Overview:
    I did manage to platinum this game. I loved Fury as a character and while the story wasn't on par with the first 2 games, it was serviceable. There were times when i loved playing Darksiders 3. But they were soon ruined by times of frustration due to poor game mechanics, technical glitches and the game crashing more than its fair share. I feel there is a good game here at its core. It's just marred by so many technical issues and gameplay mechanics than ruin the experience. Which only makes it all the more frustrating, that this could have been a good game and wasn't.

    I am not a huge fan of the new combat system, it triggers me that i cannot rely of free movement for a faster paced play style, instead i am required to patiently wait the enemy's attacks for a timed dodged which gives a rewarding counter or just a precise dodge a little bit before you get hit, not only that but you cannot cancel out your attacks in the new game mode so you better chooseI am not a huge fan of the new combat system, it triggers me that i cannot rely of free movement for a faster paced play style, instead i am required to patiently wait the enemy's attacks for a timed dodged which gives a rewarding counter or just a precise dodge a little bit before you get hit, not only that but you cannot cancel out your attacks in the new game mode so you better choose classic, otherwise you cannot animation cancel and i don't know if everyone can adapt to that play style, i kind of tried but against my liking.
    All of that aside, great graphics and art as always, inspiring character development and the seven sins are more than just that one demon that we must take out, even the demon Abbraxis had some depth to him rather than just scream I'l kill you. Great cache of weaponry, you can unlock even more weapons than the default ones.
    Still thought it was annoying that i could only guard break with the force hollow and i did not find the Ice Stasis hollow useful for anything other than cheese some monsters and the storm hollow becomes useless near the end, and if the enemy is small you cant see for crap, so don't use it!
    As bosses, Gluttony, Pride, Envy second fight were really well designed boss fights with puzzle mechanics mixed together with great boss strategy and satisfaction, however Wrath and Lust make me quite skeptical, i think Wrath in his first phase was just annoying as he attacks minions like an idiot and keeps regenerating, in his second phase he is somewhat decent, Lust could have been better, but let's just add an angel mid fight to make it annoying instead of improving her mechanics, so whatever not bad fights but not great either, Avarice is just a dodging simulator as well as Wrath first fight, Envy first fight and Sloth as well, but it was a little better. Regarding Abbraxis, not a bad fight but not really that impressive for a "no other demon can match me".
    Not much else to add, regular monster fights are nothing special, the A.I's feel kinda generic and those knife throwing bastards are annoying as hell, a lot of recycled coloration on the monsters but who cares, at this point i feel like the game had a 3 month budget where they only put some thought into a few important things.
    I also grew to enjoy the upgrading system, it's simple but it feels nice, whatever it is you decide to do with your points and materials, still vastly inferior to the great system of Darksiders 2.
    The DLC is super cheap in it's content, it is only good to acquire new cooler looking weapons and the Crucible for rewards, i simply skipped it all cus i just wanted to get over with this game.
    Lastly, STAY AWAY FROM APOCALYPTIC DIFFICULTY.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Compared to the first game, this looks unfinished and absolutely not enjoyable, mainly due to the very high amount of bugs.
    On paper the game looks great - action game with hack and slash rpg elements and some inspiration of the soulsborne games, but in reality the game is rotten to the core - infested with bugs and untested boss encounters.
    Being a fan of the soulsborne games, I had good expectations , but boy I was wrong - I started the game on apocalyptic difficulty, the combat felt good, the enemies were fine, but as you progress in the game, it becomes more and more evident how flawed the code behind it is - almost every 15-20 minute there was a bug - sometimes graphical, other times something more serious - game breaking bugs that require restart in order for you to progress (for an example the beetles that you're supposed to throw at objectives after they're fed with red/purple goo, so they'd explode - not once or twice I've seen them spawn from the yellow nest up during a fight and totally disappear at the end of the fight, causing progression to be impossible until a restart is made - this and a few other bugs that kept re-occuring made the game really frustrating).

    In regards to the untested encounters - the first one that pops up right away is Gluttony - this abomination, not only as boss but as mechanics is the buggiest **** I've played against - it is TOTALLY broken, which made it INSANELY frustrating to kill - the boss has relatively small skillset - first phase there are ~5 abilities, which on paper looks fine and boss is easy, but the way they transit from one to another skillset is very sudden, and there is no time to react at all - the sweeping tentacle happens so fast that you absolutely cannot reach the safe zone without being hit, then there's the sudden sucking phase - boss starts to consume air and everything around him. If you've not made some distance before this happens he insta kills you on apocalyptic difficulty - the problem here is that it happens suddenly - there's no warning or some specific animation - it is very similar to normal boss attack.
    There was this reddit post about one of other bosses - Avarice - the boss can become invulnerable to almost all of Fury's attacks - while only Havoc form can damage him.
    Other bugs include entering a timeless cycle of boss corpse vanishing after being killed and before the animation after its death starts, which restarting the game from the last checkpoint does not fix.
    This and many other bugs make the experience from this game dreadful - and while the soulsborne games are punishing and unfair from challenge perspective - this game is punishing and unfair because it is not a finished product, flawed with many bugs and unpolished elements.

    There's a story mode, but it's still damn hard and it takes so friggin long. It's not that the enemies are too tough. It's the numbers of them that makes it really time consuming.

    The story is great of course, just like with the first 2 games. Uthane is there again (of course) but not as much as he was in the other 2 games, which is a shame, I liked his character.

    Compared to 1 and 2 the game-play of 3 is a bit different. there's a setting for darksiders 2 play-style instead of the originally released souls-like playstyle (which basically means dying a lot and taking ages to progress) but it's still a lot harder than the previous games.

    Also, even though Fury is a lot nicer to look at than Death, it's just not as fun to play as Darksiders 2. I got lost, running in circles a few times and it's really annoying not knowing where the hell else you need to go to get at the next place. And it's looong. I cheated because the story was already so very long. the world is HUGE and then there are all those enemies keeping you from moving forward........

    So, I do recommend it. But take heed, if you want to just run through the story, get some god mode patch. it's still a challenge if you do but you can actually follow the story.

    If you like souls-like difficulty then get to it you little masochist you. I don't 'envy' you..

    Darksiders III feels like a trip to a museum, which of course doesn’t have to be a drawback. Its antiquated design has a certain charm and made me realize that I miss simplicity and compactness in bloated modern open-world games. Unfortunately Gunfire’s effort is messy – it’s rough around the edges, it made a step backwards in terms of RPG elements and environmental puzzles, some design choices are dubious, the combat system is imprecise, and there are a lot of bugs and glitches on top of all that. As a result Darksiders III can compete neither with modern action titles, nor with previous games in the series. [01/2019, p.82]

    There’s precious little to elevate Darksiders 3 to the level of the previous two games, let alone its peers in 2018. It’s a game that offers few surprises, few challenges, and few moments of greatness. What it does, it does to a satisfactory level and never kicks on from there. But there’s something about Darksiders 3 that still sort of works though. It’s a B-tier production, without a shadow of a doubt, but it’s the sort of thing that doesn’t actually come along all that often these days. Fans of the series will no doubt get a kick out of the continuing story and there’s just enough here to help Darksiders 3 stand out and make for an entertaining playthrough.
