Darksiders' schlocky action makes a welcome return, though it's not enough to shake the feeling you've played this before - and better.

Darksiders 3 is a nostalgic trip, reminding me of games I loved when I was younger. It never does anything spectacular, nor does it offer many new ideas. Instead, it exists as an earnest reminder of how games played eight years ago, and that’s enough for me.
  3. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, and sometimes Ian Loredump shows up uninvited and ruins everything.

This is just a small group of people work of hope to keep a great franchise alive. Its not a perfect game and should be like $40, but there is nothing like this. Some might say its a dark souls clone...I disagree. This is a action adventure RPG hack and slash. Its like Soul Reaver mixed with God of War and more elements of RPG and i love it and want more games like this. Full Review »

I'm not here to argue whether or not dark souls is a good game, but I am going to argue that incorporating souls elements in your game to try and spice it up is a horrible idea. After a 6 year wait for another glorious hack and slash game where I can harness the power of the apocalypse I'm sitting here with an offering that makes the main character feel like a balloon with razor blades taped all over it.

This is not a darksiders game, anyone defending the toxic souls elements in the game has no idea what a darksiders title should be.
