    A classic that defined an entire genre. More than 10 years after its release, most games still can't match its freedom in character building, nor the smart level design. Enemy AI hasn't aged that well, though, especially if you are already familiar with the company's later games, although a newcomer will probably still find this game a challenge.

    I can easily say that the game is far above the average in general. In my opinion, it is at the top of my masterpiece list. But in my opinion…. Because the game doesn’t really appeal to everyone. You have the possibility to leave the game for the first 1 hour, you have the possibility to play for 10 hours without interruption. Because if someone had given me this tip before I started the game, I would have been much less nervous while playing the game. Start the game with pyromancy and improve on the magic feature. I can talk for hours about this game and I want to talk. But what I want more than talk is my desire to stop writing as soon as possible and return to the game. Although I have finished it many times, I am dying to experience the same tension over and over.

    Precisava de uma versão remasterizada? Com certeza. O remastered é bom? Sem dúvidas! Vale o preço? Só numa boa promoção. Mesmo com remasterização, é uma vergonha esse preço praticado pela Bandai. Mano, mesmo que a versão remasted seja de 2018, o jogo em si é de 2011 e ta quase com o preço de jogo AAA em 2023, sem contar que teve    O jogo é lindo, maravilhoso e gostoso? Sim.

    Mesmo com remasterização, é uma vergonha esse preço praticado pela Bandai. Mano, mesmo que a versão remasted seja de 2018, o jogo em si é de 2011 e ta quase com o preço de jogo AAA em 2023, sem contar que teve aumento recente de preço (???). Por favor, por mais que eu ame o jogo, eu prefiro pegar a mesma grana, colocar mais um pouco e comprar o Elden Ring que tem um multiplayer decente ativo, tem bem mais conteúdo e vai receber DLC logo mais.     This game is amazing even by 2023 standards. Miyazaki-san is one the most innovative persons in the gaming industry, and every soulsborne I play is a unique experience. The port itself is good! Stable 60 fps, online mode is active, all that good things.

    One of the best designed worlds in gaming, the interconnectivity of the areas is unmatched by every game that came after it. Unfortunately, after Anor Londo the game takes a nosedive into mediocrity until the amazing ending.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. No comment about the quality of the port.

    1st half was 10/10, but after Anor Londo, the level design and boss quality dropped quite significantly.

    Diffiiculty scaling was all over the place in the 2nd half too, therefore 7/10.

    DLC was kind of lazy, just an asset flip of Darkroot Basin, but the bosses more than made up for it, so 8/10.

    After putting a lot of time, effort and frustration into it and playing other From Soft titles there is actually an outstanding game with a great atmosphere and fantastic gameplay hidden underneath a huge pile of annoyances like clunky menus, lack of modern features and unexplained mechanics.

    For casuals I'd strongly recommend to just play a more fun and accessible modern PC game like    After putting a lot of time, effort and frustration into it and playing other From Soft titles there is actually an outstanding game with a great atmosphere and fantastic gameplay hidden underneath a huge pile of annoyances like clunky menus, lack of modern features and unexplained mechanics.

    For casuals I'd strongly recommend to just play a more fun and accessible modern PC game like god of war any day or (if you are dedicated) to start your From Soft journey with Elden Ring.

    For people who are intrigued by From Soft games this is another fantastic title to spend hundreds of hours on. If I had to pick one "genre" to play for the rest of my live it would be From Soft titles - for me their gameplay and atmosphere is just unmatched. These aren't normal games this is art. I can't even tell which one I like the most because they are all playing in another league than any other game I have played over the last 30 years. And for that they deserve a 10.    … Expand

    It's a good game. Unique atmosphere. Game design of locations is on an unrealistic level. The voice acting and story are good.
    Among the cons are a lot of bugs.

    Absolutely loved the game. It was my first souls game and a nice introduction to the series. I did feel a bit empty after finishing it. I was like ''this is it?''. I mean the game was so fun and cool but the ending was abruptly cut. It was missing something, but I don't know what. Would've given it a point less but

    To this day, DS 1 remains my best in the franchise. Everything about this game is great. I'm maybe biased and would defend it brainlessly, but to anyone who wants to experience a pure DS experience, use a controller, some mods for graphical issues if you encounter one and the ultimate HD mod. Give it a try and you'll end up playing this gem for the next weeks unable to stop. Remember thatTo this day, DS 1 remains my best in the franchise. Everything about this game is great.     i feel weird that im one of the few people that dont like dark souls 1 that much compared to dark souls 3. I still really like dark souls 1 alot but i just dont feel the same vibe as what i get when playing dark souls 3? not alot to say about this game because i still kind of liked it and i can appreciate it for what it is

    having finished ds1, i can say that it is a good game. However it is not without flaws because the game certainly has a few. The combat can feel quite slow sometimes and the graphics are not the best. Upgrade paths for weapons are also abit strange and hard to follow. But the world building and interconnectedness is a good feature in the game, you can walk from one end of the map to the other in maybe 20 mins. As the first dark souls game i can see alot of the things that seemed underdeveloped here that were improved upon in dark souls 3. elden ring . even bloodborne and sekiro. It is a pretty alright game but not my favourite in the souls series. I didnt feel that the DLC was worth playing even though i heard good things about it as the game is not that interesting compared to other entries in the series and as a standalone game. 6.8/10    … Expand

    I wouldn't recommend playing it when depressed, it makes things worse... It may be one of the best products ever actually produced.

    The game's locations are too complicated. The only good thing is that they are very well thought out. The bosses in the game are easy, absolutely all of them. The only +- difficult boss is Artorias. The plot is not bad, but to get to know it you need to read up on some forums or videos.

    A masterpiece! I've never seen anything better. Perfect! The fight is perfect, the bosses are perfect. I am very satisfied. I love it.

    One of the greatest games ever created. What some people miss about video games is that they're mainly about action not the writing. You can make your own inferences about the world presented in Dark Souls without the pointless exposition that's found in some video games, hence the writing of the game is brilliant.

    This is my review for the game itself, not for the remaster, since i didnt play original. I love this game, atmosphere is pehnomenal, gameplay is genius, level design and lore are incredible.

    Remaster is okay but this game feels incredibly dated. I thought Demon Souls was clunky and hard to get used to, but this one takes the cake. Doesn't even have the decency to give you a bonfire after a boss. Enemy spamming, convoluted level design, off-putting difficulty curve, some vague mechanics... yeah.. pre-Bloodborne Fromsoft makes for a very rude experience.     This Dark Souls Remastered targets people who played the original game on console, or the ones who never played it before. It’s still one of a kind game, but this remastered version is definitely too lazy.

    Dark Souls: Remastered can almost barely be considered a remastered title for PC gamers and, while it provides some increase in graphics and quality of life improvements, these additions are largely negligible unless you’re a dedicated multiplayer fan. Despite this fact, Dark Souls is still an amazing game that is worth playing through more than once, and there’s a lot here for gamers who’ve never played through the first title in the Souls series.
