A decent little game with an interesting and unique storyline, as long as you don’t mind the slow pace and excessive amount of required reading.
-
We like Daemonica for its refreshing variations on tired themes, and a sincere attempt to introduce a nifty potion-mixing element into its chilling story.
-
Nothing in Daemonica stands out as particularly weak, but aside from the main character traversing into the land of the dead to talk to murder victims, there's little of particular note.
-
It's not a cheap knock off and it's not the best game by any means, but it's certainly a nice little diversion for the hardcore adventure enthusiast.
-
A reasonably enjoyable game that aims to appeal to adventure and RPG fans, but one which never fully capitalises on its potential.

PC GamerDaemonica is not the kind of RPG that will appeal to most hardcore gamers. [July 2006, p.77]
-
For those looking for perky puzzles and an array of dazzling environments, look elsewhere. But for the player with the patience to explore a rich story and meet lots of shady characters, Daemonica can be a dark, creepy pleasure.
-
A solid adventure game that could have had some of its elements scaled back (dialogue for example) and some of its lesser used elements (fighting, alchemy) increased.

Computer Games MagazineThis Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets Columbo meets Medium concept shows potential, but, in the end, Daemonica only creates disappointment. [Sept. 2006, p.75]
