This game is an absolute blast from the narrative, artistical and graphical point of view, gameplay is very fun and progression solid and deep.
Thr problem is the obscene amount of bugs at launch, I'm confident they will be fixed but CDP already damaged their reputation. Awful launch should not shadow the true gem this game is.

My experience is based on running the game on a PC, with RTX 3080 GPU, AMD 5900x CPU, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, and NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD.

On those specs, I can run the game in 1440p around 60 fps with everything at the highest setting (e.g., RT on ultra/psycho, and DLSS on quality), and the result is the most gorgeous looking game I've seen thus far. Not a play session goes by without me just

On those specs, I can run the game in 1440p around 60 fps with everything at the highest setting (e.g., RT on ultra/psycho, and DLSS on quality), and the result is the most gorgeous looking game I've seen thus far. Not a play session goes by without me just stopping and admiring the shadows and textures and animations, and the overall sheer amount of detail in the world. It really is breathtaking.

The stories in the game have a lot of interesting elements seeded in them, though at times it feels like the delivery lacks in depth. However, I would be the first to admit that my background in philosophy may be setting my standards kind of unreasonably high when it comes to exploring philosophical and political themes. For a popular title, the game does give some of the themes a reasonable treatment, without being too preachy one way or another (depending on the players own choices).

The side missions, in particular, are quite exemplary in that they do not feel like your general side gigs, but rather immersive stories in their own right. Night City – as a living corporate-ruled metropolis of the future – is the stage, and all of the missions utilize it in varied ways. To add, all of the characters in the main and side quest are quite interesting; I constantly find myself wanting to learn more about them. Thus, overall, the dystopian stories are quite good. (Mind you, however, that I have not played through the entire game yet – I'm only about 30 hours in so far, while having primarily done side missions.)

I would probably give the game a 9.6 or 9.7 if it weren't for the bugs that are present even on the PC version. The bugs are there, even though they are nowhere near as aplenty nor severe as on the consoles. But they are there nonetheless. Most are visual bugs, though.

Overall, Cyberpunk 2077 on a high-end PC is an extremely gorgeous experience, with engaging story lines and interesting characters, but is hindered by the bugs present at launch. If it wasn't for the bugs, the game might get a 9.7 from me, but for the time being – until the bugs are fixed – I'm forced to give it a solid 9.

CDProject Red delivered with their strenghts in mind; the graphics are absolutely gorgeous (especially main characters) and the game itself is a narrative masterpiece. There indeed are bugs (mainly graphical) which may slightly break immersion from time to time, but aside from that there's nothing more to complain about. Content-wise I'm really inclined to rate this a solid 10, but due to the bugs I'll give it a 9 for now. Kudos to CDPR for admitting and addressing the amount of bugs and I'm sure they'll deliver many fixes which will bump the score to the 10 it deserves.

Are there bugs? Yes. Is it unplayable? Not at all. Is the game full of content? Yes. Is the game breathtaking? No question. Will it get better? 100%. The scope of the game, from a design perspective, is just unfathomably big and they did make it run on everything! Hats of to the developers especially after all the media **llsh**ery they had to endure for the past months.

I really feel like Cyberpunk is a game that should not be played the same way we have played other RPG's. Initially I was not impressed with the graphics, or some of the mechanics involved - but again, the longer I play the more I come to realize how great they are - and why those choices were made by the devs.

While the phone constantly ringing, messages, and shard system can get overwhelming, and I certainly could do without the cars for sale icons showing on the main map - I feel like having so many activities to take part in helps to build the world. If people are not reading everything, and are just powering through the quests they will not enjoy this game like those who are.

I also feel like, the older, more mature people are real life, the more they will appreciate this game. The content here is very mature - and requires a certain level of imagination to understand and connect with. I am 47 years old, and I can say for certain if I had played this in my late teens or 20's I probably would not have "got it", and appreciate it like I do.

Apart from the obvious bugs cyberpunk has managed to create one of the most immersive game worlds ever, with a very captivating story and characters you wont easily forget. Just simply riding through NC is incredible. After this **** storm with the disasterous launch blows over and CDPR fixes the game is going to be even better than it already is. It's just a shame it had to come to his.

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the best games ever created however bugs and constant crushes are very annoying. I would love to give this game 10/10 right now but it's impossible. I truly believe that in a few months this game will be ready but right now I recommend playing this game only on current generation of game consoles and decent PC.

Actually had low expectations, but it's better than I thought! Annoyingly glitchy graphics they patched the worst away from (on PC), so-so gameplay (fairly simple and clunky), very well told story, and overall pretty to look at. It's not rocking my world, but it's very, very entertaining. And it's a vast game! Lots to do. CP2077 is basically GTA with cyber and way better storytelling. I realize the issues with rendering come from the fact that the programming that went into this game took some effort and were not done just by humans. As a result, we need bots to interface with the automation that goes into the display. You can't do it with a crappy 1080hp TV. Get a smart TV and join the rest of us. If you can't get a PS5 (which most cannot at this time). I don't have the PC version, but I'm sure you need the specs, which include similar technology i.e. display drives. I've been playing it for about a week and ran into very few issues with crashing and whatnot. It plays with no issue, non whatsover. The load time takes a while, but that's b/c the board on the PC is slow. If I had a PS5 it would zip things out. Display and graphics are fine, you just need to configure the settings. Make sure you get a smart TV and you should not run into any issues. This will not change for any future games coming out next year either. I'm giving this game a 9. Nobody deserves a 10, unless deployment is without exception..and this has a few. It's model is GTA-ish, but that's arguably minimal compared to how gorgeous the rest of it is. This is basically a review from someone who played this game expecting nothing and playing as a hacker through one story line.

The best thing about this game is without a doubt the city. This is without a doubt, the best setting we have seen in a game so far. All the different districts look not only unique but also beautiful in there own unique way. This gets enhanced by seeing multiple people on the streets, more then you have ever seen in any other game. Just following random people minding their own business is actually something you can do in this game and the sheer amount of different things they do is astounding. (Though of course, you sometimes see things twice or the same animation, it's still a game after all) Although mind you, this only applies if you play the PC version like i did, i played the game on high settings btw. I loved the sub-quest and main story, which is honestly a blockbuster level type of story in a video game, and especially the sub-quests always had a little spin to them to make them interesting, which only got amplified by being a hacker since the environment plays a big role if you decide to play that type of role. Dialogues where memorable and i especially liked the way their mimic or gestures change mid sentence or close to end of a sentence when they want to say something in a different mood. Now... not all things are great, which is why i gave this a 9/10. First of all, although i didn't encounter any game changing bugs in my session, this game is definitely not fully optimized and still features some bugs, looking at what people posted online though it seems that there are more worse stuff happening in a play through then just "flying object X". This game NEEDS to be fixed, cause it is a masterpiece which would be put to shame if CDPR doesn't fix it to become a clean experience but with their quick way of patching currently it seems like that will be done for in a few patches, we will have to look forward for that i guess and see how things turn out. Another thing i didn't like is the way that sub-quests get presented to you, your telephone is basically almost always ringing if you leave the district cause a mission is presented to you. This will also hopefully be patched. But other then that, i would say that this is definitely my favorite game i have ever played and will 100% this in all routes, until then citizens of Night City!
    Have a nice day!

There are bugs for sure, but otherwise the game is amazingly good. The problem is that to truly apriciate the game in all of it's glory you need one hell of a PC, even with RTX 3080/3090 you cannot run the game at 4K with ray tracing at 60 fps.
The good news is, this is by far one of the best games I have ever played. For many this will be a game they will continuously come back to replay.

    Cyberpunk 2077 is a 9/10 as well at it is a 5/10.

The heart of this game, the narration, story and storylines, characters, music, Night City itself are nothing short of brilliant, maybe the best in any video game to date. This game will immerse you in its world and you will not escape Night City before you finish this game... if the map full of other mysteries and things to do doesn't keep you going. Also, the city is gorgeous, every frame is a work of art from close-ups on characters to the city landscape.

But... this game is also a 5/10 because everything else ranges from good to really bad and broken.
The gunplay and speed hack mechanics are pretty good though. But the progression system is kind of shallow, the hacking (you'll see) is bad, NPCs AI is dumb, the police is non-existent, driving is really inconsistent, the crafting system is broken into oblivion, there are so many bugs that it's not even funny and I'm sure there is more I forgot...

So why 9/10? Because even with all these problems I have had an awesome, unique, and almost magical experience.
These problems aren't (in most situations) enough to damage the experience even a little. So if you're anything like me and you like these kinds of narrative experience (think the witcher 3 for example) This game is a must-play but care Night city will take all your time. If not, the game is not for you, go play something else :)

But to finish I will advise waiting for some patch to fix the bugs (if CDPR survives its current crisis that is) and hopefully the rest of the game because all Cyberpunk problems can hopefully be patched with updates.

This game has a lot of potentials, and with mods, patches, and extensions I'm convinced it will sit close to Skyrim on the pantheon of Open-world RPGs. But today it's just the unfinished version, a shadow of a brilliant maybe generation-defining game.

This is a spectacular game! Good graphics! Good gameplay! Spins at 85-95fps without breaking. Good story. I played for 27h and I'm loving it. I don't give 10 stars, because it has some bugs. They don't hinder the gameplay, but they are bugs.

This game has some major issues in terms of optimization. I've spent hours trying to make it stable, but oh boy, when it works, it really is a treat. Great dialogue, amazing presentation, stunning visuals, a vibrant city full of life. The gunplay is really good as well. Initially the weapon sway is annoying, but once you level up your corresponding skill, it gets much, MUCH better.

Despite how bad this game is in comparison to what they promised, it's still in my top 10 list. That should really show how impossible it would've been for anyone to make the game they promised. Maybe in a few years and if it's not on last gen it can happen, but right now it's still just a dream. The story is really good and so are the characters. The world is very immersive as long as you act the part. You are supposed to roleplay as V so when you start doing things they wouldn't do, it can break the immersion. The city is so good. The game at or near to RECOMMENDED specs runs like a dream for me, story is great, and i enjoy combat/hacking and exploring the vast open world. there are graphical/texture glitches on occasion but i consider them acceptable due to the games scale and are sure CDPR will address them.
At the end of the day, CDPR are nowhere near the Bethesda level bugginess and people (mainly console players) will complain and leave unrealistically low ratings because it won't run on the their weak systems or it's Rad to dump on others in 2020.

The story so far, the sidequests, dialogue, combat (except melee) & Night City itself are all great and well worth your time....in a few months. But if you look at the game as it runs on a fairly good PC, it is actually a very good, even beautiful-looking game. There are visual bugs, glitches. But you can go through the game for hours without ever noticing any, usually. Most are minor, and don't really break your immersion. And there are aspects of the game that seem rushed, small touches missing at times. Like... there is no little sound when you craft or upgrade an item, for example, which is staple for any RPG. It could have used more time in the oven, this game, sure. Some things I had been hoping for that aren't there. But there is still a HUGE game with a HUGE amount of high quality game-play, story-telling, acting, dialogue-writing, mission building, design. There is still a lot of atmosphere. It is a great game with flaws, but still a great game. It is a shame that this game didn't turn out to be the total awesome futuristic cult RPG masterpiece of the decade that I and many were hoping it would be (at least, not in the state it is in now), but there is a lot of great stuff there. Don't play this game on a lower end console, just now, but don't let the negative hype around the very bad launch blind you to the fact that, in spite of it's flaws, this is still a very very good game. Excellent gunplay, mechanics, voice acting and character writing.
One point down for technical difficulties and some areas of weakness, most notably the AI of NPCs outside of quests. Game of the year, too bad it came under pressure from both players and investors

The story all though a little short is fun and kept me playing for extended sessions. You could probably beat the game in 15 hours if you just go for the main missions but that would be a mistake I feel as the side quests are just as good as the story missions in terms of mission structure and world building.

My only real complaints are that this is not a Role Playing Game in any proper use of the term. Its not Fallout 4 levels of bad but nowhere near as good as New Vegas. Its more similar to Deus Ex Human Revolution but just below it in terms of RPG elements. There are Stats which you have to build a character around but all can complete the game with similar results and character builds sadly are not important. You can’t become a smooth talker or anything that can get you through the game without killing or never being detected. I didn’t follow the hype for this game but I was under the impression it was an RPG so I would warn you going into it that its RPG lite if that is important to you.

Graphically the game is nice but the FPS is pretty poor, im lucky enough to have a new RTX 30 series card and am able to play the game on max settings but there are areas when driving my FPS will go to 41fps at 1080p. Also making changes to graphic settings has little effect. Playing with RTX on is the same as off for me, Above 90 FPS for most of the game but 41 in other zones when driving so it may be an issue with the games optimization since it runs bad at all settings. You may need at least a 2070 or higher to run in current state.

Lastly there is the bugs, performance may vary but I haven’t had really many crashes, only two although one required me to restart my PC as it froze everything. Bugs are everywhere in this game and although its not Fallout 76 bad I would recommend holding off until a few more patches are out as it can get in the way of the experience and its possible my love for the game has been hampered by the bugs even though I can look past most bugs if the game is good.

Although I recommend the game it comes with a Asterix and you should wait till it is patched and the performance improves as it could be a rocky experience depending on your personal rig and the games launch price is pretty steep. Reason why im not giving the game a lower score is because im pretty confident CDPR will fix the issue soon as they have a decent enough track record and even with the bugs this is better than anything Ubisoft has put out in years.

I must say - the game itself is briliant. But the developers have still a lot of work to do on Cyberpunk. The game is BIG - and devs still couldnt give us a full optimized game with no bugs. I personally found only a t-pose bug type. But the optimization is a real problem in this game.

I did not really like the skill tree, some skills felt useless and the AI was shockingly bad (they kept coming one after the other and did not seem to use any tactics). What impressed me most was the city, it looked incredible and as a big fan of the original Blade Runner there were some days where I would just drive around at night and soak it all in while listening to the Jazz radio, they really nailed the Sci-Fi vibe.

I feel bad for the developers, clearly a lot of heart was put into this project, I am not sure how it ran on release on PC but can only recommend it now.

Sound: Love or hate Cyberpunk 2077, you can't deny the fact that this game has an unmatched soundtrack. The audio fidelity is impecable and the soundtrack is as good as titles such as PAYDAY 2 or Hotline Miami.

Story: It's a tale as old as time that CD Projekt RED writing is amazing and this time, it's no different. Memorable characters, interesting events and a roller coaster of emotions from start to finish with the story, I'll even admit, I cried a river when I got to the credits.

But enough horsin' around, let's adress the elephant in the room. Is Cyberpunk 2077 an unfinished game?

No, far from it. It's an incredible experience that can be enjoyed from start to finish. Does that mean that the game is polished? No. Unless you have an enthusiast level PC (10700K/5600X with a 3070) you're going to have to sacrifice some of those settings, that doesn't mean the game won't be enjoyable, but it will be looking worse than it should.

The framerates are stable, however. Once you find your sweet graphics settings spot to hit 60FPS you probably won't see it dip unless you do something really extreme. There are other issues that need addressing, LODs taking too long to load and dissapearing NPCs are the most frequent for me, but there's plenty of other things that need fixing, hopefully, they will be in due time.

Cyberpunk 2077 is like an unpolished diamond. It may be rough around the edges and unpleasant to look at times, but it's still a gem.

On version 1.12 to 1.2 I was thinking about scores 6, 9, 7. First score 6 was due to learn what is this game about and how it works and played mostly only main mission. Score 9 was given once I learned to use all those implants and rpg stuff and how menus works and grabbed all missions. Score 7 was given as you could not skip unskippable sequencies and I couldnt continue how boring all those tutorials before missions are.

Nevertheless this review is made on version 1.6. Game is simply great with mods "Skip Unskippable Custsenes" and "GTA Travel."

Graphics is best I have ever seen in whatever game. World is believable, streets full of dirt, different zones in cities has reason why those look like this, luxury part of town shines while narrow streets between houses can be set up for a trap...

Main story line presents basically everything that cyberpunk genre can offer, but took me a while till I understood and appreciated what was that about. Its phenomenal what this game make you think about if you get along with your character. Where he lives, what he lives for and fate of all protagonists who has no much options than to live in the Night City. In that sense all choices has impact about how you think and what to think about what is happening in the game. Its fantastic, nevertheless to get in to this perspective was not on first playthrough. Sad is, that almost all main mission have two parts - tutorial and actual gameplay. Tutorial parts take more time than actual mission and are boring and waiting till some NPC moves make my nerves... Its very sad, they make it that way and you can not skip it. This part downgrade overall enjoyment to unpleasent waters and you wish to turn this crap off - its really that bad.

Side mission also has impact and are great. Some of them are even better than main story and main missions. Imo what perfectly shows what this game is about is quest with Paralez. Whole game is about manipulation and power. Nothing more to add: you are simply a bad guy, you basically play as criminal and your job is to solve "problems".

Third type of missions are what this game make game replayable the most - ncpd and gigs. Those are small and short mission but have impact and gives color to the city. Without those city would be rather dull and feeling of what this Cyberpunk world is about would be gone.

Atmosphere is many times fantastic. Sounds, graphics, tension - its all there. Characters have their own lives, you can feel where they come from and what their intensions are.

I have tried to play games with few builds and all works just fine. Some feels better than others, but all are good enough to be played. Netrunner is superior to most, I had most fun with fists, katanas was just fastest along with monowire. Guns I have played only occasionally.

There are few things that was simply bad - you can not skip cutscenes, you can only speed up some dialogs with "C" button. Thats all. Sequences in cars can not be skipped at all. Many times there are places like "press button to continue" - I hate this in every game - for example "drink" and cutscene can continue... Menus are what they are - there is need to learn how to work with them. Sometimes you can leave with ESC button, sometimes with C button. Driving cars is not much fun and brings rather frustration. What irritates me most was radios - in cars music was cheap and music in the streets was ear tearing experience. Why the f*** all radios and big repro towers plays like damages earphones or cheapest speaker from 1980? Pace of game is also questionable and very slow.

The game nevertheless is replayable and thanks to mod "Skip Unskippable Custsenes" which make game fast 4x and you can also run this way from place to place insted of using cars of transport system, makes game 9.

    Played OLED, 5.1 surround, RTX.

I personally haven't experienced THAT many bugs (I only played 5-6 hours), but the ones I *have* experienced are a little ridiculously unforgivable: NPC characters standing inside each other, or inside the floor, or appearing above cars... Or spotting me through the walls?! How. weak.

Quests and dialogue I feel, have also been handled with care and the voice acting and overall sound is quite superb. I have read many of the other reviews and comments on social sites such as Reddit and Gamefaqs. For the most part my experience couldn’t be more different from what I’ve read. Not sure how much of it is blown out of proportion due to outrage culture but depending on what system your playing Cyberpunk on, it may come with a couple caveats. Are there bugs? Yes, but my experience has been few and far in between, minor clipping issues seem to be the most prevalent, nothing outrageous or game breaking by any means. Overall, I applaud the work of the developers, as this game has been nothing short of impressive. I’m well aware there are issues and many people are not having the same experience as myself. I see that as a move made by investors in order to get a return on their money after almost a decade of development, not the game developers. I have no doubt they will continue to support this game and provide patches in order to bring a amazing experience for everyone. Expand

GamePlay: The Level Design, or in this case The City and the nomad lands, looks great. The city really feels like its cut in sections that the 3 “categories” Corp, Streat kid, and the Nomad. The Combat System was something to get used to, in my opinion, melee just sucked and didn't feel that rewarding to get into. Why choose that when a gun feels like it's doing 10x the damage a melee weapon will do. Didn't particularly like the stealth mechanics in this game, I don't, it feels like I got spotted too easily at times. Now the RPG Systems, Did some crafting but not much of it as i picked up a lot of the stuff often. Didn't buy a new car as that was too pricey for my blood so to speak. Did see the vendors, found it to be very pricy, and you will constantly get new stuff anyway. Narrative: Dialogue is alright, I frequently experience that the NPC I'm talking to and my character are talking over each other, which gets annoying after a while. Visuals: Ended up having to go on the High Graphic preset, which was the one that stayed most stable on both gameplay experience and recording quality. Cinematics/Cutscenes still lags slightly though. Story: This game got 3 Life Path choices, Nomad, Streetkid, and Corpo. The only difference between these 3 lifepaths is the prologue, other than that the story is pretty much the same. The story was interesting, the first few hours was basically a setup for the main event of the story. The main part of the story. The plot is that a heist goes wrong, resulting in you installing a biochip that ends up saving your life, then you will find out it's killing you and you will begin your story of getting it removed without killing yourself in the progress. Replayability: The replayability potential of this game is huge. It got content like side missions, and event that makes you potentially play this game for many hours. Pros & Cons: Pros: *Strong RPG Mechanic that just works for the game. *Incredible writing throughout almost all of the main and side quests. *You have an incredible amount of variation to build your perfect playstyle. Cons: *Customizing your Character is also not as fleshed out as CDPR told us before. This is caused by all the clothes having their own stats and no possibility of transmogging outfits. *some technical issues/bugs, and some are Gamebreaking. "9/10 – Fantastic. I enthusiastically recommend that you add these games to your to-play list. As it does not hit the amazing score, It is still an extremely good game. I recommend getting this game." ~DeathKillerNOR~ ⚠️ IN MY OPINION ⚠️

Most importantly, however, CD Projekt Red will eventually fix this game, optimize it, and it will be a real masterpiece. Let's be honest, almost every high-end game is released in a bad condition and then repaired over the YEARS or not at all, and they often don't have the positive things that CD Projekt Red can boast of. I think it's a very good game with too early release issues. People's problem is that expectations like to grow for years and are never satisfied in the end. Expand

Any long carreered gamer know that all these trailers with super graphics going on are pure "make-up", and expect a game to look like they show on trailers you must have a first grade computer and it's way out of people's payroll, so they play a game in medium/high configs and complains about the game not looking like they promissed.

    The pros:
    - The World: you can feel there is love breathed into the world and into details, alot of different side quests and different endings depending on what you did, the characters shown before us had well developped personalities and the city really can snatch you out of your day-to-day life and into 2077
    - The Gameplay: I like how it feels, the shooting seems fine, there is localized damage as in terms of "dismemberment" or even sometimes crippling the target. The hacking system contributes into combat and stealth engagement. There is alot for me yet to discover, because it's a very BIG game.
    - The story: it has to do with the world as well, the storyline is pretty envolving onto what means to be one in billions in 2077, many characters with lovable and love-to-hate personalities

And these three pillar that makes a great game.

    The cons:
    - The bugs: there is ALOT of bugs, it feels like CDprojekt released Cyberpunk in 2020 out of fear of angering share-holders or the fanbase. As this is a PC GAME topic, myself haven't found a "game breaking bug" that crashes the game, a few times there was quest issues that only required a reload. Besides, the bugs I found are visual and "Object Collision Problems", I have a basic understanding on how 3D programming for games works and I can feel why this "Collision Problem" is an issue because EVERYTHING IN CYBERPUNK 2077 is an object, and every object has collision programming, most of the bugs you'll see related to this (its not difficult to find) will make you have a gag or randomly destroy the van you're supposed to steal because your grenade made a pizza box fly so fast, that it reached light speed and exploded the Van.
    - Graphics Optimization: I'm not a graphics lunatic, so this doesn't weight much for me but it's a problem nonetheless, the FPS drop for Ray Tracing from medium above drops significantly FPS and it's not a question of hardware.

It's not a perfect game, it is a great game, and as long as they fix the bugs, I'll be a 100% happy customer.

The story of the game is a masterpiece. I played it with almost no bugs to speak of and got through the story very well (played on an Xbox Series X). The scope of the game is very good and the game is very busy on the streets.

great game that needs polish (pun intended)

    + great story
    + great side missions

    +- game loop

    - horrible vehicle controls
    - lots of visual glitches

could recommend getting the game in a couple of months after major fixes. right now it's a lottery - I had great constant 30 FPS at mid-high graphics, others have fluctuations between 10 and 20 with non-loading textures

Where the game disappointed me is the character development and the Artificial Intelligence, there are many interesting characters in this game, but only few of them have depth and develop throughout the story, as for the AI, it's very outdated. I played the game on a PS4 Pro and I did encounter bugs, but I still enjoyed it, the gunplay feels satisfying, the world design is amazing, Night City is one of the best looking cities in a videogame, but the repetitive Gigs make the open world a little bit tedious. And lastly, the side quests are very interesting, there are some very immersive side quests that shocked me. This game is a bad RPG but a very good Action Adventure story game. Despite the Technical Issues the game suffers from, this is some of CD Projekt Red's best work so far. Expand

Love it. Having a lot of fun. In some respects it's a rough release, but I'm fine with that, all things considered. It's great. Can't speak for console versions, but it's beautiful running on PC. The game is amazing I play on PC and I have little or no issues a glitch here or there maybe some hilarious weird stuff once in a blue moon. That being said the game apparently a lot of people supposedly had massive issues but I myself have seen little to interrupt my experience and the experience has been wonderful.

I got the sense that they wanted to incorporate so much more and believe that given the chance it could've been even greater. With everything that happened leading to the launch and with the circumstances surrounding it, I'm amazed it came out as well as it did. If you're not as keen as me to play the game I would recommend waiting for the dev's to get a chance to finish the game and iron out the kinks. There are a few and it is quite annoying but 9 times out of 10 i was enjoying the game thoroughly. Expand

Ignore the review bombing, it's a shame a game so great will have such a divisive score unless metacritic get their s**t together. For the record - I would give the base ps4/xbox review a low score, it is quite frankly uplayable, but this isn't the a console review, its a PC review, and that wont change my opinion on how good it is to play.

Story is great. Fully voice acted everywhere with some of the highest quality voice acting ive seen, including excellently cast main characters, side quests. average joes on the street. Big bombastic moments with great tension but not afraid to get slow and emotional as well.

Gameplay is fairly good but not standout, you wont be buying this game purely for the driving or combat, they are serviceable and fit in nicely, never felt draining to have to drive around or get into a gunfight. Plenty of things to see, conversations to overhear, quests to find and so on.

Sidequests and quests and romance options and general role playing elements were definitely highlights, I genuinely couldnt wait for some phone calls or text messages from some of my favourite characters. Some sidemissions in CB2077 could easily pass for a top notch main storyline in some other games so nothing but praise here.

Customization is actually very nice. You can spec very hard into a specific role and they are are all definitely viable. Out of all the rpgs ive played this customisation feels fresh and fun, and the combat sequences as well as various skillchecks (be it in combat or out) allow you to roleplay and add depth. I specced as a cold-blooded stealth handgun user, my stealth critical headshots with an iconic upgraded suppressed revolver do thousands of damage per hit, but as soon as s**t hits the fan I turn into a wet noodle and have to rely on other things ive picked up, it actually feels genuine with a good risk reward factor, allowing me to play how I want, and as I said most scenarios allow whatever method you choose to work.

Sound is another great aspect, with banging tunes that fit the style, plenty of varied radio stations, lived-in atmospheric sounds like driving in the city at night in the rain, it feels good, and as I said before the voice actor is fantastic.

Visuals are ground-breaking - if you have the PC hardwdare to back it up. Thanks to a myriad of options you can fine tune the framerate to visual standard. I played on a 2070 Super + i5 10600k to a stable overclock and managed around 60-80 FPS in heated moments on 1440p Ultra, no raytracing and DLSS on quality. Its absolutely stunning with great views with actual variation in locales, you can definitely tell where youre going based on each districts distinct visual style. Make sure to turn raytracing off unless you can really afford it, and DLSS is a huuuuuge game changer if you have an NVidia card that supports it.

There are bugs, no beating around the bush but, whether Im just lucky or they havent really been that annoying, I personally didnt see many issues. Nothing game breaking or progress stopping for sure. The game autosaves frequently if you forget to manual save so if youre in a weird position (like if you fall of a motorcycle and get stuck in a wall on occasion) or seem to have encountered a bug, a quick reload usually does the trick. Some slight animation glitches or t-posing models asserting their dominance.. yeah its a bit of an immersion breaker but thankfully not too frequent either. Some of these bugs im sure would lower the score for others, but theres already been 4 patches since day 1 as of the time of writing (which amount to like 8 GB lol) and im sure they will continue doing their best to make it the best version of the product they can. Again, these issues didnt bother me enough to ruin my enjoyment or lower the score, a great game all in all, though not a mind-blowing revolution of gaming like people hyped it up to be, as im sure most reasonable people expected.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a fantastic immersive experience and a must buy for RPG players. The game needs patches to iron out some of the bugs but there is nothing game breaking from my play through. Congratulations to CD project Red very impressive.

Comparing with other launches the bugs (in PC version) where acceptable. As for the gameplay it show a potential. I would say that it is needed time to adjust to the mechanics.
People don't compare it with Witcher....

If not for the bugs I would have given it a 10. Once it's patched then it will deserve the 10 and I will change it as such. Fantastic from start to finish, the characters and aesthetic are amazing.

The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
