    Truly ground breaking. Unquestionably one of the best looking games of all time. The level of detail here is incredible. There is a long list of genuinely interesting side missions which almost always involved entering buildings you didn't know existed.

    Favourite area would be Kabuki. The level of verticality here combined with the impressive lighting is one of the most immersive places    Truly ground breaking.     The Game Is very very good. Everything feels Hand-crafted and different especially the graphics but the bugs though which are bad and can be fixed with time.
    Either way gonna play this two more times. So, till then it will be fixed.

    I don't want to base my score on the technical problems, yes there are bugs, but most are just glitches. They are going to fix them, it will take some time, but they'll fix it.
    I had to reload a few times due to bugs, like a part of a quest not progressing, but that's really nothing new for an open world RPG. More than 12 hours and I haven't got a single crash - not one. So, I give my    I don't want to base my score on the technical problems, yes there are bugs, but most are just glitches.     I had to reload a few times due to bugs, like a part of a quest not progressing, but that's really nothing new for an open world RPG. More than 12 hours and I haven't got a single crash - not one. So, I give my score assuming all the quest bugs are fixed. There are so many people giving low score looking only at bugs and I think this is not the most important part of the game.

    The PC version running on almost maximum setting on GTX1080ti with quite constant 50-60 fps and I don't see anything that is not top notch with graphics.

    The visuals are perfect, the level of detail is incredible, story so far is good, quests are very interesting, RPG elements are well done, shooting is more than good, driving is good, the sounds are perfect. I don't really see any weak points in the most important areas.

    Of course there are some points that can be made about the quite confusing red map, the lack of shortcuts for some important actions like for example holstering your weapon (you have to do it from the circular menu), looting gives hard to see information on what has been looted. Also inventory needs some visual hints on weapon/armor strength and special effects so you don't need to check each one individually. Those are minor points though.
    Finally, just give it a bit of time, try to ignore the bugs and it will give you tens if not hundreds of hours of high quality entertainment.    … Expand

    Physics, terrible shooting, garbage interface, an empty world with bots on the street and this endless humous soporific senseless chatter, oh yes, sparkling asses, must be appreciated. The real score is 4/10 without taking into account the tons of bugged **** but I put it 0/10, because there is always a ton of paid and stupid estimates like 10/10, of course.     На данном этапе не рекомендую покупать игру, если у вас видеокарта ниже RTX 2060. Игра сыра, с моим конфигом (в описании профиля) на QHD, средне-высоких настройках около 40-50 фпс, причем картинка дерганная. Помогает только 3D downscaling, но тогда получаем мыло.     Игра хорошая, НО слишком много НО. Во первых это системные требования, они слишком высокие и на слабых пк (меньше чем 1000$ не поиграешь в удовольствие). It's buggy, and the performance isn't the best but those are things that can be fixed (hopefully,) now this being said I don't LOVE the game I find the melee combat to be tedious at best, the stealth isn't fully implemented the side quests from what I have seen so far are few and far between at least the ones with actual story. I enjoy the 'side gigs' but I would have preferred less side gigs and more story driven side quests. The main story is compelling and interesting so far. Overall this game is good, for people to give it a **** 1-3 is a completely idiotic, everyone is just angry because CD Projekt Red didn't **** save the universe and reverse global warming. Also, why is metacritic one of the worst places to look at users reviews? I think it's because unlike Steam you don't see how long someone has played a game, they just toss a review and they could've played an hour at best. Anyway, it's a decent game not perfect but definitely a fun excursion.… Expand

    This game is already easily one of the best games to come out in the past 10 years, maybe ever. The only problems with the game are the numerous bugs at launch and the horrible performance on last gen consoles, but that should’ve been expected, really. Other problems include the feeling of a lack of content, even though the game world feels huge and lived in. The lack of character customization after the initial customizer is extremely disappointing. Not even the hairstyle is able to be changed at the moment, only clothes and cyber upgrades. Aside from these problems, the game is beautiful playing on a higher end pc and the gameplay is extremely fun, though driving mechanics feels sub par and clunky considering it’s the best way to get place to place. I may change my rating if most of the bugs and issues I experienced are resolved. Until, then I can see myself putting 500+ hours into this game, maybe playing through multiple times. Overall, if you’re like me and didn’t hype the game up to oblivion and expected to just receive a large RPG with amazing graphics and awesome gameplay, the game is probably perfect for you. For now, I’ll keep it at 8/10, though if all the problems I listed were fixed in updates, it could easily be 10/10.… Expand

DLSS for RTX cards are holding the frames above 60 (sometimes dropping to 50) so yes, the only "good" performance part of this game is made by Nvidia.

    Also, there's no AI in game, the driving NPC's are following a path. The cop AI is terrible, it just spawns nonstop right in front of your eyes. The city feels dead, if you jump in front of a car the NPC will just stare at you, braindead. Isn't this supposed to be night city? The city of Violence?.

    The gameplay has nothing special as well, just another shooter with some RPG mechanics.

    Graphics: I've seen so much better graphics with way better optimization.

    So apparently they decided to launch a beta version of the game for 60$ or they aimed for super high-end build only and lied about being able to play on current gen consoles and mid end PC's.

    The bugs, well. In 2 hours of gameplay there was so many bugs and issues with clipping, disappearing stuff, textures, T-posing and many others that I can't even list them all here.

    Unacceptable for a 60$ game and that's it. I asked for a refund and not going back untill it's all patched up, and I hope they do patch things up over the year.

    Edit: I had to change my score from 3 to 1 to counter the fanboys posting lies and desparate 10's to protect CDPR. Ok game with nothing special and terrible optmization and bugs, a true early beta game.    … Expand

    Just fun.
    Yeah there are some bugs but the gaming experience is way to good to say these bugs ruin the game. Take it as it is and enjoy it. (PC with new driver)

    I was really looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077, though i can barely play Cyberpunk 2077 on the Ps4. It crashed 4 times and has a lot of graphics bugs. I was able to play 1:30 hours. I am very disappointed

    Fix it and release as a new game, f.e CP2136,99. I find it as the biggest catastrophy in history of gaming. I don't really believe you can covince me to play it with only fixing glitches. If finishing game depends only on choosing A or B, it's just a BAD game. The only person in my opinion is Mariusz Pudzianowski who can lift this game from deepest bottom, but even for him it might be a problem.

If you gave into the 'hype' and didn't know what exactly you were getting, that is your own fault. If you did your research on the game and you're still mad about 'bugs & glitches', then I'm sorry, but no game is going to please you because you're too dense to look at the bigger picture. Nothing about the game makes it unplayable and for those giving the score a 0-3, they really don't have a logical reason to dislike a game to this extent.… Expand

Most dialogue choices funnel in the same direction with little influence. V’s personality is already clearly defined with little room for the Player to be what they desire. The NPCs only act as set pieces, reciting the same one linersAfter 24+ hours of gameplay, It’s not the RPG that was billed to the consumer. V’s personality is already clearly defined with little room for the Player to be what they desire. The NPCs only act as set pieces, reciting the same one liners and crouching in identical positions when the player does anything violent. They drive in pathways that are painfully obvious and simply stop whenever there are any obstacles. Almost everything can be cheesed with stealth and de-aggroing. Many simple objects like chairs and machines are inaccessible, not even allowing for the player to participate in the world unless given a prompt from a mission. The immersion is just not there. I personally can handle bugs and crashes, but I dislike that this game was sold as something it isn’t.… Expand

    gráficamente se queda muy lejos de lo esperado, juegos como red dead redemption 2 le dan mil vueltas, lo de los bugs ya es cosa a parte, fallo de carga de texturas, fisicas locas, personajes atravesando objetos o puertas que no se abren y no dejan acabar misiones, en definitiva un desastre, compralo solo cuando este bien parcheado y arreglado

    Bad game and absolutely evil publisher who forces you the game in any possible way (blocking reviews, mega hype)...

    If you own the game on GOG please refund it withing 30 days for those people who cant and were scammed by this evil corporation.

This is absolutely not an rpg, no customization what so ever, no different playstyle, no real choices, absolutely NOTHING to do in night city, no verticality, the driving is awful, the AI is beyond awful, this is the least immersive or fun open world i had to play.     Out of all the games I’ve played this year cyberpunk 2077 stands out, the amount of detail in everything is spectacular, cdproject red went out of the ball park on this excellent game. This game is by far the best game I’ve ever played, I can’t wait to dive into this amazing world more.

Хочу ещё отметить тот факт, что оптимизация неплохая, во всяком случае на ПК, хотя могло быть и лучше. Что насчёт багов ? .. Они есть, но для меня не критичны. Calling this game fallout 76 sequel is just cruel. Give cdp time it's not ubisoft or ea. They will polish this game just give them time. I've been playing the tabletop since I was a kid, 11 years old to be exact. I found the box that said Cyberpunk 2020. InThis game is amazing. Imagine a world where megacorporations dictate your lifestyle. The super rich become richer and the poor remain poorer. Now add human indecency, degeneracy, amazing technologies and the need for more more more...sound familiar? Welcome to Cyberpunk. I've been playing the tabletop since I was a kid, 11 years old to be exact. I found the box that said Cyberpunk 2020. In that box was a giant book filled with all kinds of stories and games and then there were the cards with all kinds of characters and functions. I was hooked after I figured it out. Fast forward to 2020 and I'm floored at what CDPR has given us. A sprawling dystopia of danger, appeal and mystery. They nailed the aesthetic. I sometimes find myself just walking around, scanning people who might want to start an altercation with me and choose to engage or not, it's up to you. The main story so far is great. Performance of the game is a little underwhelming but so was Witcher 3 at first. Patches will help, this is not unheard of. People are mad I think because they were expecting a life simulator. I see many people talking about "Where's my Cyberpunk girlfriend?" "Why can't I decorate my apartment?" "Why can't I modify my car?" While features like modifying a car would be nice, it's not really needed. Would I like to change the color of my Quadra Turbo-R 740 or add a nice flavor of stickers to my MIZUTANI SHION "COYOTE"? Yes, absolutely! And CDPR if you're reading this...add this option in a future update. Also, I would really enjoy being able to customize my punk when I feel like it. As it stands, you can only edit your V at the very beginning of the game; a very questionable choice of features that are not present in the game as of now. The game does have bugs but none that are game breaking, at least in my experience of 34.2 hours (so far). Yes I'll see a floating weapon or an NPC that you call on your phone will magically appear in front of you...very strange, but pretty funny bug.

    I purposely stayed away from this game during its development. I didn't read anything about it, I avoided all spoilers that weren't spoiled by CDPR (WTF why would you spoil such a thing as Jackie dying???) The only media that I watched was their original presentation back in 2018 so I had no expectations, false memories or cognitive dissonance while playing the game. It's everything I've wanted for a very long time and then some. I'm hoping they make sequels but until then I'd settle for some performance patches with bug fixes, free DLC and like the Witcher 3 Blood and Wine, a nice expansion would be very welcomed some time in the future.     Best game ever after.
    I have played it for 25 hours so far and this game is fantastic. This world is just amazing. I will skip plenty of bugs because they aren't invasive and you can deal with them.

    It's an Interactive movie. Stunning DA and graphics aside, the underlying gameplay is bugged and very limited. It's not fun to play. A shame. Played 30 hours and asked for a refund. Go watch it on Twitch instead, as this is more of a long trailer / animated video rather than a game. your actions make no difference, there is only 1 path and 1 choice, gameplay is dull.

Right from the go you will experience game breaking bugs that make it impossible to get immersed into the world. Poor showing from CD project red.

    With an Nvidia GTX 1650 super I've had no trouble playing the game, it's smooth with predetermined intermediate settings reaching almost a constant 60fps, also I've just encountered 1 minor bug. It's been smooth for me, and I've been loving the story and how inmersive the world is. Definitely not a 10, but I'll try to counter the amount of hate this is getting.

(GTX 1660s, R5 2600, 24 GB RAM) the Game is running at a high 60 fps (there are sags when driving fast on a car), but this is with AMD FidelityFX (Set the minimum resolution to 85). Bugs? I personally have not observed any critical bugs yet, only one light bug (shadows from the sun rays where there is none) . There were also bugs with textures of enemies when they were just in the floor (with patches, this will certainly fix everything). For the technical component-6. This is my opinion that you may not agree with. (If I wrote this on December 10, I would give 6: D)

The level of detail ( if you have a 3070, and up) is astounding, a lot of the quests feel hand crafted, all the stories you can find in the side quotes, and sometimes just exploring gets you into a mini story, if you read all the journals & clues you might find. The main story is very deep, and satisfying, the hacking is amazing, very intuitive, so is all the gun combat, you can actually sneak through missions without ever firing 1 bullet if you are sneaky sneak. The vehicle driving I was concerned because they did not have a background in vehicle physics etc, but the vehicles feel like they all have their own weight, speed, and personal touch, not to mention that speedometer THANK YOU (looking at you GTA). I would rate this 9.7/10 for my initial experience; however I understand consoles, and others on PC that never bothered to update drivers, patches of have the minimum spec or lower hardware will not have a great experience. I would like to add that, if you know the game is advertised as ''next gen'' then maybe you should consider having ''current gen'' hardware to have the complete experience. All in all 2020 is just full of people that want to nit pick instead of appreciating what the game really is, a true AAA title, next gen graphics "crysis level performance when it came out", amazing story experience, no micro transactions, and incoming free DLC & large expansions.     Combat is faster and dare I say, playing on "hard" is actually a little hard. You can't just run-and-gun, you need to use your tools, cyber, skills, find cover, flank, etc. This is making combat a lot more interesting for me instead of just being able mow everything down as often happens in rpg's with "action" combat.

    Story, writing and aesthetic are full on Pondsmith 80's cyberpunk. If you were expecting a different take on the genre, you are going to be disappointed, perhaps look elsewhere. This is cut from the Blade Runner, Altered Carbon mold. For me though, this is exactly what I was hoping for and this is what I got, very pleased.

    This has been my brief experience so far, of course your mileage my vary.

    So lets talk Performance first:
    My rig:
    * GTX 1070 (ASUS GTX 1070 STRIX OC) - No OC except factory one - NVIDIA Driver 460.79
    * i7-6700K @ 4Ghz - not overclocked
    * 16GB RAM
    * SSD Samsung EVO 860
    * Good Cooling Airflow, lots of silent fans (so no heat issues)

    Result:
    * almost stable 30-40 fps, very little it drops to 27
    * 1080p
    * Ultra (but with motion blur on low)

    Pretty decent and more than I hoped for, tbh. The Motion Blur is also not to change FPS for me, I just wasn't able to look at that effect for more than 30s and not feeling unwell, so also no FPS testing with it. AND that is the same for me in every other game as well, have to always disable that, or in CP2077 go to low intensity

    Next up Bugs:
    * Seen a few glitches here and there (nothing mentionable, if you aren't looking to nitpick on them.
    * Driving physics on Motorcycle is kinda strange sometimes, sends you too high up in the air (think that's a balance in play-ability though, because otherwise you could crash to easily)
    * Hats kill hairs for me in mirrors, so don't look in a mirror wearing a hat ;)
    * when changing weapons, those sometimes do not properly get rendered and are transparent in your hands until you cycle weapons, or put them back and draw them again.
    * Biggest one I see, is that scanner sometimes (4 times in 24h) hangs, and you are stuck in scanning. Only once it happened in combat so I had to redo the fight by loading previous save. All other cases could be solved by hitting quick-save and loading it again.

    Nothing stopping me anywhere from progression

    Missing game elements:
    * Hairdressers, Plastic surgeons. Would be nice but is. definitely not unplayable.
    * The rest is nit-picking for me, as there is plenty to do in the world.

    General Stuff:
    Yes there are a lot of games better in certain areas, there are better shooters, there are better driving games, and there are better RPGs. But not if you combine any.
    Example:
    Shooter, what does it get compared to? Destiny, Call Of Duty, ... That are shooters! not more, not less. But that's their only mechanic. Our bar should be a Skyrim perhaps, and ohh boy, fighting is just so much better and more enjoyable for me in CP2077 in comparison. And for me also compared to a Division or something like that it is not that bad. Yes bullet sponginess is a thing in CP2077, but an RPG would not work without it, otherwise stats and some loot won't make any difference... Against a Dragon or Mech, you just care less than against humans... And with Swords, against Armor neither

    Also in regards to GTA5 as open world Sandbox, (yes that's a chaos sandbox, and CP2077 does not wat to be that, so I don't care about the Police being definitely not on par). But Story Immersion is just way above anything we have seen from Rockstar (I feel being V, that did neither work in GTA5 nor in RDR2 for me). RDR2 has really good story telling, yes but the open world with necessity to hunt animals (grind mechanics) just made me loose interest, and for me the 1st Person is so much immersion. also the Motion capturing of hands is great and helps immersion. And also as a non native speaker Rockstar gives you subtitles. CDPR gives you full audio for multiple languages, with different lip sync visuals(!!!). That's production quality, and texts are not just stupid translations, but all 11 languages are original languages, written in that language, at least for German that is really well done, and better than in any other game yet. Really appreciated.

    AND this is my final thing, Immersion in this game is a **** DEAL, Story really gets to you (after prologue, that could be improved a little - NOMAD for me). Characters have multiple layers and are believable in their being. Also the World creates great Immersion for me, and is the most beautiful i have seen, even without RTX.

    A lot of negativity is just nitpicking and comparing shooters with an RPG or an Action based Story RPG like CP2077 / Witcher3 with an cRPG like Divinity. In its league definitely a Masterpiece for me around a 91. which as it will get better has to become a 95 easily...    … Expand

    Historia, NPCs, mundo, Personagens secundários, bem eu acredito que não seja um jogo para muitos, ele é bem complexo e cheio de vida e interações, cumpre o que promete faz isso com maestria, o Prólogo do Jogo é surreal e se quer afirmar um dos melhores que ja tive o privilegio de jogar, acredito que a CD Project fez uma obra de arte mais complexa que The Witcher 3, sem duvidas na minhaHistoria, NPCs, mundo, Personagens secundários, bem eu acredito que não seja um jogo para muitos, ele é bem complexo e cheio de vida e interações, cumpre o que promete faz isso com maestria, o Prólogo do Jogo é surreal e se quer afirmar um dos melhores que ja tive o privilegio de jogar, acredito que a CD Project fez uma obra de arte mais complexa que The Witcher 3, sem duvidas na minha avalição é um dos melhores games produzidos.

Но также в ней есть отличная графика, крутой дизайн, увлекательный сюжет и интересный геймплей. Не верю тем, кто говорит, что для игры нужен самый современный компьютер.     Someone else's review perfectly summarized this game. They said, GTA 4 was released in 2008 and that it had more depth than this game. I unfortunately agree. I didn't get over hyped, I knew after the second delay it was going to be a buggy mess than would likely crash and burn but I was hopeful I could get some enjoyment out of it still despite that; I also wanted to support one of theSomeone else's review perfectly summarized this game. They said, GTA 4 was released in 2008 and that it had more depth than this game. I unfortunately agree. I didn't get over hyped, I knew after the second delay it was going to be a buggy mess than would likely crash and burn but I was hopeful I could get some enjoyment out of it still despite that; I also wanted to support one of the first games to try and meaningfully include trans characters in the game as I believe expanding gaming and making it more inclusive to others is extremely beneficial to the industry and making good change in acceptance in the world of people different from others. Now here is my summary of my experience so far, I have not 100% finished the game yet but I am about half way through and have watched gameplay of the rest as I was worried I wouldn't even finish the game I was getting so bored and tired of the combat. As of right now, I am still playing the game though and have about 27 hours played so far and I will expect at least 50 hours played by the end of my playthrough if I do all the side missions I plan on doing.

    First up is the bugs, its the easiest and most obvious thing everyone is going to criticize. The game doesn't just have bugs, the game has so many glitches and problems that I don't even think 3 months of 60 gb patches will have it fixed still. Its that bad. Now it is totally playable on PC and I heard newer gen consoles play it fine as well, but it's still buggy like you wouldn't believe. I'm talking bushes X-raying through 15 buildings to sit in the middle of the person you're talking to's face the entire cutscene, people not loading in for about 10 seconds and looking like giant texture-less blobs until then, mouths not moving when anyone talks in major cutscenes, NPCs walking through objects and sending them flying at the speed of sound all over the room, you walking down a flight of stairs sending you jetting across the level like a speed runner in the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, enemies hacking you through walls infinitely damaging you even in cover, and more. Its not going to be an easy fix and will take them a year or two to work these bugs out assuming they even keep players long enough to see that day come. But this isn't enough to stop most people, heck, it didn't even stop me.

    The gameplay: I didn't expect much going in, I knew it wasn't going to be Call of Duty smooth shooting or anything, but holy hell if it isn't some of the worst combat I've ever seen in a first person game. The melee weapons feel completely unusable as there is no real decent movement in your base character outside of a tiny little dash and your normal run speed. So using katanas and knives feels like garbage and has no power too it as it has zero feedback or movement with each swing so you feel like you're just flailing your arms like a kid who just got a VR headset. The gun gameplay I expected to hopefully at minimum match something like Destiny or Borderlands since they were very similar games in the same genre but they couldn't even get close to that. In the beginning you just fight into enemies that are massive bullet sponges until you get a couple missions in and start picking up decent weapons or just turn the difficulty down in frustration. The talent and perk system is super convoluted and is nothing but passives, but those passives are horribly required to do anything or have any fun at all with any weapons in the game. The base combat feels like garbage and the only chance you get to have fun with the weapons you might want to use is when you're 30 levels down into a tree and finally get an extra 30% movement speed or so to run at enemies faster with the katanas or when you get that headshot and crit chance bonuses to make pistols take enemies out faster. Additionally, all the weapons in the game have so much recoil and movement when shooting that aiming is totally impossible, you would think futuristic guns would have less recoil and not 18x more than anything you ever imagined possible. Its like shooting automatic elephant guns at the enemy and the aimer is bouncing all around them the entire time. Its just absolutely abysmal and I can't believe people who play tested it thought it was good enough for release. People even saw the early gameplay for it and said it looked bad yet they didn't change it and fanboy Witcher fan drones dismissed it as some 4d chess move that the combat would be fixed by launch. It wasn't and its terrible. My friend played the game for 10 minutes and refunded it because it was so bad. I don't blame them, it gets better, but by "better," I mean its just tolerable enough that I can stomach through it to complete the game.

    I'm out of characters so I can't even go on about the hollow themepark this game is, it looks like an open world but its just a short themepark story w/ side missions and nothing to do outside those. The dialogue is great but the endings leave you wanting more.    … Expand

The story has some really high points and is generally decent but what you get out of the large amount of dialogue doesn't justify having so much of it. But on the topic of glitches... I had heard stories of the amount of glitches and Im sure they will eventually be ironed out but it was actually shocking how many glitches I encountered. I would be willing to bet that I saw a glitch consistently every 5 minutes and my playtime was about 21 hours when I finished. So really it comes down to how well you can handle glitches and how long they take to fix them. If you can handle the glitches or if they have been ironed out by the time you play, it will probably be a good experience. Is it worth the money right now? Maybe. After its finished will it be worth it? I would say so yes. Was it worth an 8 year wait? Luckily I didn't wait 8 years.… Expand

    After playing +10 hours I’m really enjoying CP77. The graphics are amazing and the world is pact with outstanding details. If you are the type of gamer who’s enjoying fictional environments you can stare for hours and really get lost in Night City. I’m playing the game on a RTX2080ti and Intel i9–9900k. Everything maxed out with Psycho Ray-tracing and DLSS on performant on a 3440x1440After playing +10 hours I’m really enjoying CP77. The graphics are amazing and the world is pact with outstanding details. If you are the type of gamer who’s enjoying fictional environments you can stare for hours and really get lost in Night City. I’m playing the game on a RTX2080ti and Intel i9–9900k. Everything maxed out with Psycho Ray-tracing and DLSS on performant on a 3440x1440 monitor hitting a stable 60fps. Honestly, it’s breathtaking. Though console players and low spec PC gamers encounter many issues this game truly is achieving next-gen visuals whenever you got the specs. Gameplay wise there is still a lot for me to explore but so far it feels descent enough for me to keep playing. If you have the right specs it’s a must buy, otherwise wait and play it later untill your hardware allows you to fully appreciate what CDPR has achieved with this gem.… Expand

    Many bugs in this game. It looks like it's an unfinished game. In addition, it is a shame that professional reviews give 90 for this game, I do not believe in reviews for that reason, are not reliable for me.

    Same as The Witcher 3, CD Red sets a new standard of gaming, one of the best OW of the last years.
    It's buggy, for my experience, not so much, I mean, I played a lot of gdr/ow in years so I'm kinda surprised how this game has been pictured by people, and yet they're still playing games from Bugthesda and Bugisoft, lulz???

    Console may suck but trust me if you own a PC I highly recommend this game. Played for 7 hours the first night and did not get bored. Cool customization options and gameplay. Driving is really fun and the combat is sick, especially melee combat. Mantis blades are insane.

    Its buggy as all hell, and this has nothing to do with my PC. I had to reaload 3x in the first 2h of gameplay, just to pass scripted checkpoints that bugged themselves, and prevented me from advancing further. There is literally nothing to do in this game it feels so incredibly hollow.

    The amounts of things lacking in this game absolutely cannot be patched in in the near future. This game will not be complete in the next 12 months. Hopefully they at the very least can remove bugs that force you to reload a save every hour or so.    … Expand

    Having played over 30+ hours and enjoyed pretty much every part of the game so far. I will say I have seen my fair share of bugs; most I am not bothered as I expect games to have them at launch and no game is perfect and personally no game should get a “perfect score”. People will always find things to bring a game down and that is their opinion just as this review is my opinion. I believe that this game was hyped so much it was never going to reach the goals people hyped it to be, I kept my expectations about how I expected the Witcher series and I was not disappointed.

    Things I love about the game
    Story: Very good story, reminds me of Shadowrun on SNES.
    Graphics: On a RTX2070 I have had no issues since the patch and driver update.
    Environment: As a long time, Cyberpunk TTRPG GM and player I loved every minute of it, looking from the outside you see a small city, but once you are in it it’s huge and packed.
    Side quests: These are hit and miss but mostly enjoyable and punish you if you are not ready for them.
    Characters: All the main characters V interacts with I love, some of the side ones are one note but they should be. Also, Judy is best girl!
    Cyberware: feels they did not dig into the lore of cyberpunk as much as I wish they did.
    Character options: I love some of the options but some I am confused on; I wish I could see my character more often besides the mirror and one the motorcycle. The customization is good but could be better.
    Things that need work and I have issues with
    Bugs: There are still bugs after the patch, but I run into very few now, also update your graphics driver.
    Driving: I have to say I do no enjoy driving in this game, easiest way is using a motorcycle as you see more of the road and are more maneuverable. The driving needs to be tighter not so floaty. I wish there was an auto drive to just sit and move the camera while the car/bike drove by itself to the destination.
    Character options: I love some of the options but some I am confused on; I wish I could see my character more often besides the mirror and one the motorcycle. The customization is good but could be better.
    Audio glitches: This by no means takes me out of the game but sometimes people say stuff and the mouths do not move, OR you do not hear anything, and you know something was supposed to be said.
    User Interface: At times is laggy and feels inconvenient to use at times

    Final thoughts
    Can I recommend this game to buy YES, it is a very good game Many negative reviews and even some of the positive either over critique it or ignore the bugs they see. It needs improvement through patches, but in general I think the game is in a good state just needs tweaking, I know people may not have the PC I have BUT it could be better optimized in general. BUT out of the box the game runs and runs well, YES there are issues which I am sure will be addressed. Is it worth it’s price yes, but if you waited till they fixed some of the bugs I would not blame you, for me I have played 30+ hours and am not even done with the main story and loving the game.

    The greatness of this game can't be erased by it's bugs. Give it a time to be corrected. For the launch everyone wanted it the fastest as possible in their hands, but now the people want the game to be perfect. C' mon don't be hypocrit guys.

Animations lack in the environment and you cant even interact with people like it was advertised years ago, performance its ok on PC with some bugs here and there but not polished at all, you see a pool table well you expect NPCs playing no they are just standing there watching each other, you see an arcade? nope, you can't play it, pretty damn lazy is what it is even with all the delays you can notice this game was rushed and scrapped a lot of times.

The driving is painful and feels like your steering a frictionless brick down a freshly waxed hallway, I know that didn't make sense. The game feels like a really bizarre mix of Grand Theft Auto and Borderlands, but not in a good way. Not to mention that the gamma settings, just don't work? I don't understand why, there are times when the brightness is so high that you are blinded, and times when it is so dark you literally can't see anything. Often in the middle of a shoot out as well and changing the game's gamma settings does nothing.

    There is no way that this game was in development for nearly 8 years and was released in this state, I wouldn't be surprised if we find out that they didn't actually start the game's development until after the E3 Keanu Reeves thing and that was them trying to hype it up again.     It’s much better with 1.04 hotfix. Of course it still has many minor issues but it’s also extremely fun to play.

    A piece of **** We crossed borderlands + homefront the revolution and it turned out to be something. And overestimated expectations have nothing to do with if the game cannot fail to normal animation of edged weapons, not to the physics of transport, not to wide roads, not to dismemberment. And all this after the wonderful 3 Witcher, just think about it

    This game is a solid 8+, nothing dramatically new in the formula, but game play mechanics are new and interesting, it has the right mix of roam about vs linear quest.

    would be nice to see your character more, given the focus on customization of the character....mirrors are stupid. perhaps just me, but i had a hard time getting some of the mechanics learned in the training sim....ya, probably just me.

    Voice acting is great, i mean really really great. graphics are outstanding...though obviously NOT what was being shown in any of the 8 year marketing madness b-role - (anyone wanna bet ark 2 gets overhyped due to the obviously cinematic not game play trailer released and people will pee their pants in rage when it doesn't look like the announcement trailer lol).

    is this game worth 60 bucks, close. if you are on the fence, wait for a sale. if you already bought it, I've paid more for less in my life, so 60 bucks for this experience so far is a decent deal.    … Expand

The console version needs a lot of improvement on the optimization side and so does the PC version, especially on weaker hardware. Apart from that, this game meets my expectations.     Seems unfinished. Not sure what they were thinking releasing it in this state. I am playing on the PC and the bugs are not the issue.. the game lacks polish and most of the features feel not fully utilized. I wish they'd simply delayed it another 3-6 months :(

    The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

    Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

    Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
