    As for myself I was never that hooked on games a la Settlers, but this was kinda fun to play. Regardless of what I think, the indisputable fact remains - the game needs more visual improvements.

    I would definitely recommend that the patient ActRaiser, Populous, and Sim City crowd give it an opportunity ... but anyone seeking more of a straight combat or faster paced RTS title may get a little bored with it after a spell.

    It focuses on something far more interesting than buildings: people. This makes for an enthralling combination of city building and role-playing, with enough personality, activity, and variety to do justice to both genres.

    This is onr of the greatest games I have played when I was younger. Even with the little bugs with the AI, this game is wonderfully balancedThis is onr of the greatest games I have played when I was younger. Even with the little bugs with the AI, this game is wonderfully balanced and challenging while keeping the game fun. The satisfaction of creating a city by yourself, rock by rock, is indescribable. This game, unlike many other of it's kin, is not all about domination, which makes this game much more interesting and less repetitive. Well done!… Full Review »

    The absolute best micromanaging game I have ever played in my life. I've played Cultures 2 for years and I have never gotten bored of it. TheThe absolute best micromanaging game I have ever played in my life. I've played Cultures 2 for years and I have never gotten bored of it. The game gives you absolute control over a group of Vikings/Settlers, and leaves you to complete a few objectives. You may accomplish these objectives any way you want to. You can take as much time as you need, and usually you need at least 8 hours to complete a mission. Its still easy to save and come right back to it though. The hardest thing to do is survive. You have to get supplies to build a farm, windmill, and bakery just to get bread, and that usually takes 30 minuets. The only problem I had with this game is the poor AI. Soldiers will not eat while traveling, so you constantly have to babysit them and tell them to eat until they get to the spot you ordered them to. They also have a tendency to fall asleep during a battle. In all. this game is great, but it not for everyone, especially people with no patience or time on their hands.
