I really enjoyed this little piece of art. Incredible style, marvelous music, a cool plot an d I personally enjoyed the most the different stages of it. But the thing I did not expect was the tear the story stole me in certain points In my humble opinion, is a title you will love!

Back to SNES times, learning the mechanics, jumping and moving only using your intuition, dying several times to get to the point you defeat a boss without receiving damage. A great game-play that makes you smile, and worried, and stressed, and relaxed, and sad... You have to play it entire, this game will shine if you do so.

Wonderful 80s style graphics and so much references to iconic games, films and pop culture of 80s.
Minimum violence, maximum nostalgic joy. This game is great for kids.

A good and high-quality game with nice pixel graphics(which only in a couple of places seems to be a poorly developed) interesting history and atmosphere of the 80s of the American suburbs. There are many cliches of that time and the children's method of presenting information, but in many ways this is more a "highlight of the game" than its drawback. And also an interesting opportunity to play for different characters at the same time.
Only three things were really annoying in this game: Chase moments - often too much of knocking buttons to keep the rhythm or dodge enemy, the last two bosses, who were not difficult, but annoyingly inconvenient due to inertness of control ... and the second - control, which was generally pleasant and convenient, but in some important places of the game it was strongly felt that there was not enough flexibility in the movement of characters (for example, jumping on platforms diagonally on time). If you give the game the opportunity and not give up at the first inconvenience - it will show itself as a very interesting slightly naive story with pleasant game-play and atmosphere with fantasy and spirits.

This game is very cool. Good action, cool characters and locations. The only thing that I didn’t like was the strange layout of the controls.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. the graphics are great, the cut-scenes are amazingly animated, the story wonderful, though some may not like the cliché of some aspects. its a funny and enjoyable adventure through a typical small town style of world, with the main gimmick being the 80s aesthetic, and the fact that you fight the dead. the music is wonderful, and overall it's a great game, if its your cup of tea. I really liked this game. Played after watching the series very strange things and the game is imbued with the same spirit of the 80s

Crossing Souls is brimming with cultural references to the 80s but does little more than that. [04/2018, p.75]

Fans of genre classics from Spielberg and Zemeckis should play Crossing Souls for that elusive magical feeling of a Hollywood fairytale, for its great 80s style soundtrack, for genuinely funny moments, and even for its thrilling, albeit naive drama… But be warned: this nostalgia trip will be bumpy as hell.

Crossing Souls has great style and art direction, and while the plot can be quite cheesy, it’s in a good way. It’s just a shame that poor controls dampen what should be a more enjoyable retro-inspired experience than it is.
