The story develops nicely as your investigation proceeds and the puzzles provide the right amount of challenge to keep you actively engaged without blocking your progress for too long.
-
A so-so to bad adventure game. There isn’t anything special about the game itself, and the writing quality knocks it down a few pegs from there. But it’s also harmless and it’s playable and it’s inexpensive, so it’s not the worst way in the world to spend a rainy weekend.

I did enjoy playing MM. Beautiful graphics and music, pretty good puzzles, along with one of the best puzzles ever created, interaction with almost everything and a good story with unexpected twists make up for the poor dialogs and the bad voiceovers.
-
Crime Stories suffers from some poor design decisions as well as a downright annoying presentation.
-
It's enjoyable to play, but feels, at least at times, like playing basketball with a bum knee might. You have fun, yet the pain prevents you from playing at your full potential. Similarly, this game has lost some of its potential within the framework of its annoyances.
-
We wanted 'The X-Files' and instead we got 'Columbo'.
-
The story is very good and the puzzle numerous and that is the point of the game really. We would think it would have a quite select fan base that would really enjoy it but its mass appeal may be limited.
-
A mediocre point and click adventure game that doesn't advance the genre. The game offers just enough to keep you playing but fails to offer anything new or impressive to make it stand out from the crowded adventure game market.
-
The story might have a flicker of potential but everything else causes the game to fall flat on its face.
-
I guess Crime Stories is good for an hour or so of play, but I guarantee if you play for much longer if the disjointed dialogue doesn’t get you, the poor translation will.
-
Annoyances with the graphics and sound almost drive any interest in seeing the conclusion of the game away. The gameplay is extremely generic. The puzzles are easy to figure out, but there aren't very many in the game and some challenge would have been nice.
