PC GamerThis point-and-click adventure should have stayed in Italy. [July 2006, p.99]
-
Rooted in archaic gameplay sensibilities and devoid of engaging characters or plot, Crime Stories won't even appeal to the most vehement of adventure game fans.
-
AceGamezAnd that's Crime Stories biggest folly; it's just not fun. There's nothing remotely interesting to keep you engaged for long periods of time, certainly not long enough to stick with it to the end and the ancient and poorly designed levels combined with some of the most tedious puzzles I've ever had to endure make for a well meaning but entirely failed venture.
-
A $20 ride of immense frustration. It’s true that proceedings become more interesting as you progress, but this feeling of general improvement might be down to the fact that you’re aware the end is ever closer.
-
A poorly implemented, poorly translated adventure game about an uninteresting character doing uninteresting things. Nearly the only things going for it are that it doesn't crash and should be playable on a wide variety of systems.
-
I would not recommend this game even if you are a very die hard adventure fan as it is does not follow any kind of logical path for solving a mystery nor tells a very good story.
-
This game is the worst puzzle mystery game I have ever played. It wouldn't even make a good science fiction novel.
-
If you are looking to waste time you might try playing Crime Stories, or you could try something else, like watching the grass grow. Whatever your choice, just remember you are still wasting your time.

Computer Games MagazineCrime Stories is merely tragic, a paranormal murder mystery whose downfall is its over-enthusiam. [Oct. 2006, p.72]
