This game perfectly mixes strategy with role playing. Its progression system is very complete and the story that it features is funny and interesting.

Champions of Anteria plays almost like Dungeon Siege successor: multiple heroes, real-time pauseable tactical combat, RPG elements that dictate flow of fights. The only thing that’s missing is pack donkey, but there’s no need for it – instead of bags full of loot, champions are rewarded with additional lands that will be settled in Anno manner. Champions of Anteria is a good example of how to combine management phases and action-RPG sections without altering either of the two.

Yes, the pathfinding can be disastrous at times, while the mission variety leaves room improvement. But the fighting system is intuitive, while reminding me of the classic Baldur’s Gate in its best moments – as rare as they might be.

The game is a unique blend of genres that I haven't seen attempted anywhere else, and it gets more right than it does wrong.

    2020.01.14 - game won't start on windows 10.

A search on the Ubisoft forum and Steam Community showed that the problem was known for about a year, a large number of tickets were created, but Ubisoft did not solve the problem. Apparently, they do not plan to do it.

However, the presence of a problem due to which the game simply does not start is not a sufficient reason to remove the game from sale, or add information about the presence of problems with the game on the official pages of the store.

It is this approach of the publisher Ubisoft that deserves a rating of 0 out of 10.

Sadly it eliminated the good elements of the settler games and replaced those with a boring and tedious combat system. I'm so disappointed. Full Review »

Side note yet another game a bit like fortnite that got no advertising whatsoever, what is it with those stealth titles releases atm?
