    Clearly we can see that a lot of Russians liked the CoD series. I do agree with the complaints though. CoD should be a-political; at least not single out any country especially if we are not at war. I think some Americans can't understand duality; the ability to support one idea and not another without forcing a final solution. It mirrors our current political environment. Tribalism sucks.

There is a poor nation of Russians who kill, rape, gas gas civilians without any motivation. There is one good Russian, Nikolai. He is an episodic character, and for all that, he is good because he helps good Americans who, at the cost of their lives, want to save the population of a non-native country. Scene with a Russian soldier who could not cope with two children. And what was his motivation? He wanted to kill them because he is Russian? Attacks of Drones on an airfield, gas etching, bombing of the Death Road, Destruction of civilians are all attributed to the Russian army. Although the US military is responsible for all this. This is chernukha, which makes the whole plot of Call of Duty Russophobic propaganda.… Expand

    Developers were paid to insult and offend russians, I guess. This is the only possible reason this game is like that. Through all game we are told that "all russians are bad". This smells like nazi crap to me. Paid, intentional nazi crap. Sie sind Untermenschen, ja! They are not human, they are animals! What's next? A spinoff game about heroic jaeger saving Hitler?     It’s hard to tell why there was so much ado about single-player campaign: controversial topics aside, it’s completely mediocre. On the other hand, the multiplayer mode is one of the best in latest instalments of Call of Duty series. [Issue#241, p.49]

    It’s undeniably well-made albeit controversial part of the series. One that tries to break the mold and open itself to another kind of player. It’s worth of praise, even if just for that. I recommend it especially to Battlefield players – you may be pleasantly surprised. [13/2019, p.50]

    Modern Warfare is not a stellar game, but decent first-person shooters about modern conflicts are so few and far between that it’s surprisingly satisfying.
