    Multiplayer is absolute **** The maps are way too chaotic you can get shot from literally anywhere, oh and spawns are **** too. Spawn - die - spawn - die. You get spawnkilled non-stop.

    Looks like instead of making a videogame this time Activision was trying to cosplay worse parts of Goebbels propaganda. I never played multiplayer part of the game but single part is a terrible attempt to spread hate and stereotypes. A really weak game in a scenario part by the way.

    MP review only, could not care less about whole SP, COOP or evil Russians in fictional COD game...
    Originaly I ranked it 4/10 but after 60h+ in MP I just can't. This is not Call of Duty. Skill based matchmaking in quick matches(this sh*t belongs to ranked only for those e-sport wannabe sweats), loud footsteps, OP ghost perk, bad minimap combined with terrible chaotic maps in general    MP review only, could not care less about whole SP, COOP or evil Russians in fictional COD game...
    Originaly I ranked it 4/10 but after 60h+ in MP I just can't. This is not Call of Duty. There is high potential, but its being killed by incompetent and arrogant developers who don't listen and make their game for CoD haters instead of CoD fans. COD Ghosts multiplayer is masterpiece compared to this, honestly I never played worse CoD... ever... and I have every CoD from first MW to now. This is supposed to be noob friendly according to IW? It's absolute opposite, it's most sweaty, frustrating and casual/noob unfriendly game I've ever played. Fast paced arcade shooter? My a*s, RS Siege and Insurgency are more beginner friendly 'fast paced arcade' shooters than this. First time ever regreting buying and playing CoD multiplayer....    … Expand

    One of the best if not the best campaign in a CoD ever.     также мне понравилась тактическая составляюшая, раньше я только рашил в предыдуших частях, сейчас мне нравиться использовать карты в свою пользу, это приятно, и скорость прицеливания не являеться проблемой, когда я    я изменил отзыв, так как раньше у меня сложилось мнение что игра сушествует только для кемперов, прошло время, я изучил карты, теперь все хорошо, кемперы вымераюший вид.

    игра хорошая, но я хочу играть на чьем нибудь сервере где бой длиться дольше, не люблю короткие бои.

    I changed the review, because earlier I had the opinion that the game exists only for campers, time passed, I studied the maps, now everything is fine, campers are extinct.

    I also liked the tactical component, I used to only rush in the previous parts, now I like to use cards to my advantage, it's nice, and the aiming speed is not a problem, when I pumped the gun, it could easily accelerate the aiming with modules.

    it’s bad that there is no browser of servers, and dedicated servers, I do not want to play with ping 60>, because of this 6/10

You've got anti Russian propaganda, three women army commanders when pretty much none exist so it ain't believable to me, trying to fit in all racial backgrounds when it just does't need to be there, the story line is poor. What I will say though is that the level design is great and comes as a real surprise to a COD game and this is one of it's best points, your not fighting an entire army every mission now and they're really well thought out and you have unexpected moments which make you feel your in the game and I prop IW for this.

    The multiplayer.. whoever designed these maps should be fired and never work for a studio again my left toe could come up with something better. Your getting shot from 725 different angles (pun intended) and it's designed to be the most campiest mess there is, I feel IW is at fault as well though because in interviews they're basically saying they want it noob friendly and I quote 'safe spaces' for new palyers... ****ing really? get a grip for **** sake how soft is that, if you're starting a new game of course you ain't going to be great but it's all about the experience to making yourself better and then that gives the player satisfaction. So doing that a better player now suffers. There's good things like weapon detail and customisation plus weapon challenges (when they work and not buggy) which is nice, I prefer to play ground war even though it's a complete rip off of battlefield conquest even the tanks etc are ripped off when they just don't work in a COD game, you have it as a kill streak so why add base tanks to spawn its because they had to copy everything to attract battlefield fans (battlefield isn't doing well at the moment) just like black ops 4 did last year copying the BR's to get their fans

    I would wait before buying until sales or not at all not until we see what they do with their content, at least they don't have loot boxes (yet) and they have free maps to release which earns them points although considering it's the same people who made the base one's so I'm hoping for some MW2/3 remastered maps down the line.    … Expand

    Now the meat of the bones is of course the multiplayer for me, as with many other people. I am currently addicted to the multiplayer. The weapons are generally fun to use, each and everyone of them, though some more overpowered than others (M4A1). It's a bummer that most players choose to use this gun, makes the game seem a little uninteresting to me, I never see a new combination of guns, attachments and perks. But there is no rule against it, but it personally bothers me a little. You'll see a lot of people using that same gun every other match. Especially on normal, I much prefer HC modes.
    I love the vast ocean of attachments, camo's and charms on the variarities of guns. It's really fun to tinker and figure out what works best to every situation. It feels fun and rewarding to make progressions on all these different guns.
    This is the first Call of Duty that has had a large game mode like Ground War. And I gotta say, not really a fan, yet. Might be since I don't know the maps yet, which I feel you have to in order to do a decent job in this game mode. Sometimes it can feel like wherever you spawn, you die. Spawn and die, over and over until you get a lucky break and get your bearings. Otherwise it's a fun gamemode with tons of oppertunities to conquer.

    Overall I thought this game was and still is very fun to play. It's addictive with a great progression system. The guns feel great to use, and once you master the new mounting system you'll have alot more angles to engage your target. I like this machanic and I hope it stays in future installments. No lootboxes (yet) and I hope the game stays that was, otherwise I might take my score down 2 or 3 points.

    This of course is just my opinion, and I see people are very love it or hate it. Myself am on the positive side. I would recommend this game to any shooter fans and COD fans looking for a fresh take on the COD franchise.    … Expand

    Camp in Duty Modern Shotgun is the best expirience if u need a Camp Simulator in both teams. You can play what ever you want but a camper is faster then you. deal with it if u buy this game. If you want to play a normal FPS buy another one. also salty community and a lot of voice chat spam if u dosent take it off.

    Почти, сука, месяц прошел с релиза, а разрабы до сих пор не могут пофиксить вылеты. Для того чтобы нормально поиграть нужно каждый раз переустанавливать шейдеры (и то не всегда помогает). Это насколько охуеть нужно, чтобы в 2019 году выпустить настолько сырой продукт, что через месяц после релиза, оно работает только хуже.Почти, сука, месяц прошел с релиза, а разрабы до сих пор не могут пофиксить вылеты. Для того чтобы нормально поиграть нужно каждый раз переустанавливать шейдеры (и то не всегда помогает).     it was either the original Modern Warfare, or perhaps, the first Black Ops that i think i really enjoyed last. i wish they transitioned and copied some of the blueprint that Battlefield had, more open/destructive environment etc.

    downloaded 120 gb's for this and 12 hours later i'm uninstalling. disappointed.    … Expand

    i don't care one bit about the politics and didn't bother with the single player due to constant frame stuttering so all the cutscences are basically unwatchable. In multiplayer the game is a camping simulator.     The trash doesn't even run properly on PC. No optimization for PC at all, it's a crime they charge what they do for this game. I feel bad even having the 118GB on my hard drive with this game, knowing there is better games out there that could use that 118GB.

    I put 1 point for the graphics and gameplay. Multiplayer is also good. But I take away the remaining 9 points for bringing politics into the game. Your rash decision led to a real holy war and offended a huge number of Russian-speaking players. There are things that must remain intact.

    The wall-running, double-jumping, acid-trip visuals and almost chaotic twitch-response gaming wore thin on me fast.
    But there's something different about this latest installment. It's been stripped back, simplified and in my subjective experience, almost    I'm not a huge CoD fan. The last few titles I've picked up almost begrudgingly, just so I could have a bash at zombies with my mates.
    The wall-running, double-jumping, acid-trip visuals and almost chaotic twitch-response gaming wore thin on me fast.

    But there's something different about this latest installment.
    It's been stripped back, simplified and in my subjective experience, almost perfected.

    Regarding the multiplayer specifically, the game demands a more considered, tactical approach to any encounter due to the reduced TTK.

    But instead of it feeling like I'm dying instantly from god-knows-where, the adjustment works in my favour seemingly as I'm putting enemies down first time far more often :)

    CoD used to be a dirty word for me.. but this is this most fun I've had in a multiplayer shooter on PC since BF4.    … Expand

    3. SBMM leaves you in lobbies with bad internet connection 100% of the time: dying to see that the killcam doesn't correspond to what happened in my screen at all. Add to that the fact that you die so quickly that there's times you don't even get the chance to see your opponent.
    4. Minimap doesn't even show the red dots when enemies fire. I know that there's a compass at the top but that's not the same, you simple cannot be with an eye in the center of the screen, another looking to the minimap and still a third eye looking to the top... This also makes players camp more since they generally don't know where's the enemy firing from, so they prefer the camping style.

    They said that they would accommodate all the player styles, but don't be fooled by that statement, either you camp or die from campers.
    I'm sure that there's more things that need to change but this review resumes well what's bad.    … Expand

    Oh, and kill streaks too, a plague introduced by MW2, just as OP as ever.

    Multiplayer part. To be honest, this is probably the first CoD multiplayer I have ever played seriously. The ground war is just full of campers.

    Battle Field has longer TTK, and does not have kill-streak, so campers in BF really cannot make a huge difference. They are just some nails that can be easily dealt with. It is balanced.

    In this game, however, Time To Kill is much shorter, and there are kill-streaks that allow players to use all sorts of war machines to melt enemies. Therefore, the dominant strategy in ground war is just to stay in place, grab high-alert perk in case of appearance of backstabbers, grab a sniper or DMR, kill a bunch of enemies, and summon some missiles or VTOLs to melt enemies for your team. The mode is infested with campers, and that forces players to quit or become a camper. Especially the district map, the entire game just becomes Call of Duty: Rooftop Warfare.

    You can expect campers to snipe you from rooftops. You can expect campers to make a camp in an abandoned building. You can expect campers to stay next to an enemy point to kill new spawns. In BF, TTK is longer, so you have time to react, and have counter measures to deal with that. In this game, if campers got their crosshair on you, you are dead.    … Expand

    Multiplayer review updated: Can't vote on maps still. The developers have been pushing out updates to fix many issues one of those being the gun balance. I still think they have a long way to go but things are getting better. The Skill Based Matchmaking has divided the community quite a bit but I don't mind it at all. I prefer always playing against sweaty players but I would like to see them fix the weapon balance more so 50% of the sweats stop running overkill + shotguns. The M4 is still a laser and can still out snipe all but the best snipers. If they buffed Focus perk that would change, right now the focus perk is almost usless because it only offers flinch resistance and not 100% flinch nullification. With guns like the Kar98 and MK2 you live and die by the first shot, at medium and long distances an M4 will smack you with enough bullets to cause a flinch significant enough to throw off your first shot, if your shot hits anywhere besides the upper chest or head then you are 95% of the time a dead person. Focus definitely needs a buff to make the single shot rifles more viable. Footsteps sounds are improving. 50% of the weapon attachments are still useless when all that matters are high ADS speed and controling horizontal recoil (Recoil Stablization). Camping strategies are still annoying and rewarding as hell because of claymores and shotguns. They need to move the Overkill perk to another perk class or take shotguns out of the game. After putting in a lot of hours into the semiautos and bolt actions (FAL, Kar98, MK2, EBR) the hit reg issues have become more obvious. At least 2-3x a night I will fire the Kar98 or MK2 into the chest of a stationary enemy and I will get no hit registration, the same thing will happen for headshots at least once a night. The hit reg issues are less obvious with full auto weapons but I've had nights where half of a mag will not register.

    Singleplayer review: I finally got around to playing the singleplayer or playing as much of it as I could. At one level/mission I ran into a critical error that keeps happening, after reading about the issue it seems that the only solution is to resinstall the game but since I'm on DSL and the game is 120+gb I won't be doing that anytime soon. What I have played of the singleplayer ranged from typical and boring call of duty missions to interesting reality simulations. The intro to piccadilly square and clearing some house with night vision were insanely immersive and much more unique than the typical COD gameplay of having a bunch of bots run at you. Regarding the propaganda that many of these reviewers are unhappy with, I don't know what to say other than Call of Duty has most likely been a recruiting tool for the DOD since the original modern warfare so you're going to get tons of DOD bull****.    … Expand

    If I wanted tactical, i would play Domination BO4 with some Clans instead.
    But in this? You just can't move fluidly, you have to peek ADS everytime, and wait here and there...
    The Fact that they removed the death Stat from all scoreboards tells the whole story itself. Nearly all players have had negative stats from the start where you could see it. Very often in a Match majority of the Losing teammates leave. If this is the future, then this was the last COD I bought.

    The Single player wasn't really surprising tho, The Americans are always best, the Russians bad guys.
    If in wasn't that way, no American Weapon or Camo or Tank would make it in the Game. The rights are with the United States Army. It Explains a lot when you say that the M4 ist the best weapon in the Game...heheh    … Expand

    Gameplay Is nice on a high end system and graphics in campaing look amazing with RTX, but the game is very badly optimized for people using older hardware. Some have said It runs just fine while others say it's barely playable. Campaing story fell short from what I had hoped.
    All and all a divisive game.

    Don't buy this game on PC, the cutscenes get stuttered (lag), and now I am stuck at hometown quests. No object / environment rendered. Clueless... Its been weeks since the game launched and still there is no solution. Can't continue my campaign game.

    To me this game removes a lot of the fluff an unnecessary extras in favor of a great single player campaign and a return to more tactical multiplayer. To me, this game feels like Black Ops and it's a step in the right direction. I don't have the time to devote to gaming like I had 6 years ago but I've still found ways to be successful in all of the different game modes in MP.

    TL;DR
    If you enjoyed Black Ops, chances are you'll enjoy this game too, a return to form for the series!    … Expand

    PROS: game runs well, does not crash. Tons of guns, scopes, attachments, outfits and characters to play. Generally great gunplay throughout - which is a great improvement on previous couple of COD games. Lots of challenges and achievements to unlock. Visually not a cutting edge but looks pretty good.

    CONS: everything else.
    Multiplayer has got to be the worst yet. An awful map design and spawn system. Absolute garbage of netcode that penalizes players with good internet connection. Unbalanced weapons have everyone whoring the same 5 guns. Ridiculous killstreaks system that encourages the absolute worst in online behavior. Very few maps, and the map layout is just garbage - especially Piccadilly.
    Poor sound design with incorrect 3D positioning cues, and way too much verbal diarrhea radio chatter.

    5 hour long single player campaign is written for 13 year olds and goes to great lengths to destroy whatever good memories you might have had from playing the original COD4 back in a day - even Cpt. Price's character had been replaced with some doe-eyed muppet who looks nothing like the original, aside of the beard. Gaz doesn't look like Gaz either.
    The whole affair is just awful, really. Avoid this game - it's not worth more than $5 in entertainment value.    … Expand

    Multiplayer is hot garbage, constant crashing, no fix in sight as of yet. I have seen more crashes in the full release than in the BETA!

    - Cameraviewbug, Enemey sees 60% body around a corner, u cant see him. Nice, or nah? - Hitboxbug, try to shoot someone in the elbow.     - Skilbasematchmaking who makes u play with tryhards with highping all the time
    - Delay in almost every action (For example, if u wanna use your Fieldupgrades and you press the buttons without waiting 3 seconds, u dont use your fieldupgrade u use your tactical item like a blind grenade, and blind yourself. Fckn nice.)
    - 90% of the Maps are awfull, designed for noobs who can hide in every corner.

Skill based match making (sbmm) completely takes the casual fun out of the game and matches you with really sweaty players who abuse mechanics. The maps are the worst I have seen in the series, the optimization is awful and crashes very often. The netcode and mechanics are also so poorly executed.
