Finally the campaign story is great and the multiplayer is fun. I hope they will add more multiplayer content but this is the best COD game for since the old modern warfare series in my opinion.

Amazing CoD campaign taking inspiration from the greats of CoD4 and MW2(OG) in worldwide locations and iconic characters which some are also new. Graphics overall are breathtaking being cross-gen too. Gameplay is like MW19 but a bit more fast and fluid, a great mixture between the usual arcady gameplay and a more tactical shooter. An amazing sequel that takes what MW19 did to the next level!

Don't care if people say this isn't as good as 2009. I mean the Batman and The Dark Knight are apart of the same franchise but people hold them in the same regard

The campaign is top tier. All the reviews that negatively mark it, mark it down because of its focus on "nostalgia" which makes no sense to me. Multiplayer is one of the best from any Call of Duty game. Spec ops is pretty fun too. Definitely best Call of Duty we've seen in a while

It's the best shooter of this year for me. Infinity ward just nailed the crack addictive gameplay loop of running, shooting, dying and repeat.
The weapons and sound design are top notch. Most maps are great as well. The campaign is fun and diverse, but a little hit and miss with its concepts and pacing. Looking forward to DMZ and warzone now, even if battle royal is a tired genre at this

As usual with any COD, there is a lot of yelling from all sides, because they can never meet everyones expectations. And there is A LOT OF expectations on such an iconic and successful franchise.
Take it for what it is and I hope you'll have a good time too.

Need some fix for occational crashes, but this game is really a good time. Great campain with great multiplayer modes. Spec ops should be splitscreen offline, hope they add that soon.

Some hardcore fans will hate the new attachment system for weps as to get the best red dot for the M4 AR you need to level up the shotgun, etc.

Gunplay has more recoil than 2019 MW but that's a good thing as it feels more satisfying. Sound for guns is top tier for FPS games and blows games like BF2042 away as far as sound design. Maps for 6v6 range from very good to WTF were they thinking. I prefer the bigger maps on Ground War as they seem like a mini BR with tons of buildings and vertical gunplay.

The Single player campaign is also one of the best in the series and has no loading screens and is shot like a Hollywood action spy movie.

The main reason I knock off 2 points is because of bugs causing crashes and a lack of certain things like Hardcore mode (which I don't play) and a combat record to see KDR and weapon stats. Other than that if your a fan of FPS games this is an easy buy. If not wait for sale on Black Friday....

Even though there are 16, 5 are dedicated to Ground War and the Museum map is not here(my personal favorite). The new Gunsmith is defiantly unique to say the least. If you already unlocked an attachment, you can use it on any other gun as long as you unlock the base attachment on that gun. I will say lvl up is VERY SLOW if you dont have xp tokens to use. Right now it's more of in a "beta" phase still. I want to fully love this game, but you can't expect us to give this a 10/10 with all the bugs and slow progression we are experiencing. I haven't done CO-OP yet but there are only 3 missions, so there is still much work to be done. And as always, sbmm still exists. Expand

I was highly skeptical of this game when it released and just decided to try out the Warzone 2.0 mode for free. I played for a few days in free to play DMZ and BR modes and decided to bite the bullet and pick up the full game. The gameplay is very good. I originally played MW 1 and 2 back in the day and this game really feels like a throwback to that era. The gunplay and movement feel just right and I don't see too many of these sliding , bunny hopping, crack addicts who sprint around as much as the last version. The action is much more grounded in this version and I feel like the gameplay is king. The Maps for the most part are very well structured and you'll find new avenues and opportunities constantly in the beginning. Mastering map memory is the key to big scores as you out flank and out manuever less experienced players. There are so many paths and vertical spaces that no one is every completely safe and camping spots are at a minimum. Planting traps like claymores has never been more satisfying. The gameplay overall is highly addictive and I can barely keep track of the time when i play.

Despite the great gamplay, it's not perfect in other aspects. There is no excuse for the multitude of bugs and glitches present nor the absolutely useless interface. Why did they change it? Anyway, I feel that with time this will become a classic, but right now it feels a tad bit unfinished. There are not too many guns to choose from for instance and it seems that many standard weapons where left out so they can drip feed them in over time. However, the new gun tuning is awesome and I find I can sit and tinker with my m4 all day long, searching for that perfect setup. Of course, microtransactions are ever present and the push for the 30$ Battle Pass is constant. Not worth it though. You don't seem to get much and you can actually unlock the guns fairly quickly. Who cares about operators and skins? Not me, but if you do, then drop the 30 extra dollars and have fun.

Overall, I think they nailed the gameplay but the rest really needs some work. The SP Campaign is once again pretty generic and the co-op missions are quite simple and not that much fun. The mp is where it's at and I love the DMZ and Invasion modes for the huge maps and varied gameplay. I would say if you're on the fence, pick up Warzone 2.0 for free and jump into the DMZ beta. That will let you know if you really wanna pull the trigger on the full game or not. Cheers and hope to squad up with ya'll!

Edit: I should also mention that I started playing this game a few weeks after it released, so I probably did not experience a lot of the bugs people had on launch. With the release of Warzone 2.0 the game got a pretty big update with bug fixes and gameplay tweaks. For instance, they fixed the controller auto aim exploit people where abusing and the game got a lot more stable overall.

Ultimately, I feel like Call of Duty veterans who have been with the series a long time will find plenty to like in this newest entry. It can feel “back to basics” in some ways, which can be nice, but the game also pays a bit of a price for that by feeling a bit light on content compared to Cold War or even Vanguard with no zombies and fewer modes generally. That said, the variety in its modes, the versatile campaign, and fun co-op missions carry Modern Warfare 2 over the finish line just fine as a mostly satisfying entry in a series where it’s getting harder to please everyone in its increasingly large and diverse audience.

The core multiplayer gameplay is exactly what you’d expect from a standard CoD title, but with faster TTK and slightly clunkier feeling weapons. It seems like they have more recoil than previous titles, and all have pretty noticeable idle sway even after loading up on attachments. The gunsmithing system is a let down for me, too many attachments have too significant negative attributes to be worth using without significant upsides, will hopefully be adjusted moving forward. SBMM in casual queues is frustrating to say the least, if you are an exclusively casual player or someone that falls within the average playerbase you should be fine, but hardcore gamers like myself with thousands upon thousands of hours in tactical shooters will find it painfully frustrating to deal with the current state of matchmaking. The overall UI in the menus for the game is terrible, I loved the interfaces for Modern Warfare 2019 and yet they somehow managed to screw this up big time. It’s just a pretty average title that meets expectations in most regards but doesn’t really bring anything new to the table. If you enjoyed past titles you will probably enjoy this one, but it feels like a step back from the last game in the series. Expand

The story mode on the other hand had exactly the opposite problem: not enough shooting and too many sneaking/hiding missions. The new inventory system is nice, but it's very overused. Collect five of X and two of Y to craft Z. I enjoy RPGs, but no thanks. Boss fights are also a concept that Modern Warfare definitely doesn't need. They were absolutely misplaced.

One main problem for both modes is that the AI really doesn't work well with stealth. Once you're spotted, all enemies in the area instantly lock onto you and hit you from anywhere as long as there is a line of sight. They don't have to individually detect you, but suddently know where exactly you are and it doesn't feel right at all.

The gunplay is amazing as always, but that's an expectation by now. Everything else is sub par.

The story campaign of the game is that at the level of mobile games, starting from graphics and gameplay, ending with the plot and logic, this is a failure, it is unbearable. The multiplayer part of the game is exactly what you would expect, changes in detail, feel and play like 10 years ago.

There isn't a single map I would class as 'good', and its not like they're adding more very often (even if they're already there in the big warzone map). The new extraction mode is laughably bad, painful to play and I'm happy to never touch it again. As for warzone, I was never a fan but did my time in Verdansk, and Warzone II is just terrible. There is no enjoyment to be had there. I don't see any of the little dinky updates saving this game, and I think this is where my experience with CoD ends. Performance and stability
Performance actually really suprised me. Even at beta state it was better then MW2019 and I was getting plenty of fps at high detail settings. What I didnt like, and was amazed this passed any QA this company might have (that is if they even have any) was constant crashing that was present in beta but wasnt alleviated even on release (do mind there was more than a month between beta and release so these could have been sorted out) and wasnt fixed even 4 days after release.

    UI
Yet another issue many people have with which I agree is completely user unfriendly UI in multiplayer. Its a direct copy of most streaming platforms and looks like it was developed for mobile game not a PC/Console which contributes to overall cheap look. Combine it with incredibly large amount of issues that this UI has (either bugging out or design standpoint) make it one of the biggest reasons to hold on to buying this game.

    Other
Some promised stuff that was supposed to be live on release is missing. Basic features that previous MW2019 had are missing. And lowkey nonexistant communication from devs doesnt help current player mood.

So in summary the game in its current state doesnt warrant its full (and huge) price and until all critical issues are fixed this doesnt deserve more than 5/10

Except for maybe two or three misions, the rest are forgetable. There's nothing memorable in it, except for the final mission which is unbelievably bad.
Also adding cratting in this game, it's a big NO for me.

The multiplayer is absolute garbage, the maps are awful, awful all of them, not a single decent map and there's something off about them. They're all generic, with a pretty bad flow and most of them uninspiring. And that's my main issue, the maps are so bad this game cannot be saved unless they start from scratch. MW2019 had only 2 maps that were a bit a bad, but here every map is downright awful. Feels like i'm in some kid's playgrouns instead of actual combat zones or warfare maps.
Also, the MP looks visually worse than MW2019, why is that? Everything looks downgraded, more cartoony and too colorful for my taste. The textures, the foliage, everything has been pretty much downgraded for no reason.
The gameplay mechanics have changed for the worse, now everyone bunny-hops or just camps at the corner of the map. The movements have changed as well, it's clunkier.
The guns feel different, and the recoil has been exaggerated here. Also, why did they replace their real names? Visually they look like plastic, that's another downgrade.
Also, violence has been reduced, there's less gore and dismemberment is no longer there. What were they thinking?
The UI is horrendous, problematic and hard to navigate. Same goes for the gunsmith and the weapon unlock, awful.
The MP feels like it was developed by Treyarch Games and it feels absolutely bad, they make mediocre games and i absolutely avoid them. What's more it plays and feels like a mobile game instead of a PC and console game like the previous MW.
SBMM has been cranked up to the max and there's no chill in this game anymore.
The operator design are something straight out of a comic book and they're all horrible.
Also, they added bots, another big NO.
Coop missions are pretty simple and boring, nothing even close to the masterpiece of MW2019 coop missions.
Ground War and Invasion are OK, but gets old real quick. Especially if there are bots in the match.

I tried to like the game, but i just can't. The maps are too bad for me to handle, at this point i'll be going back to MW2019 real soon. There's no point in playing something i don't enjoy.
That's it, i always trusted IW over any other developer that made COD, but they dropped the ball. I think i'm done for good with this franchise. This is just a sad end.

We're probably talking about one of the worst Call Of Duty game ever created. I cannot believe i waited three years for this garbage.
The only reason i'm giving this a two is because the gun sounds are even better than before, but that's all that there is too it.

Riot shields are no longer cracked upon being shot with rounds. The campaign is uninspired, boring and generic. Too many cinematic sequences and gameplay is too linear. There were no plot twists and any missions that stood out. Graves and Hassan were one dimensional villains. AI is ridiculously overpowered and will insta-kill you from any corner on Hardened or Veteran and armored enemies become repetitive . Soundtrack is forgettable. Too many plot holes that insult the intelligence of its userbases. For instance in one mission you're waiting in an elevator with a member of the Mexican cartel and one of the dialogue options allows you to knock him unconscious, but upon doing that his body completely disappears once the elevators reaches the lower floor and stops. The game never explains why Hassan is working with Al Qatala

The UI in particular is cancer. Navigating through the menu requires unnecessary button presses and prompts and gives off the impression that you're playing a mobile game, not a $70 AAA title.

On another note, this game should have never been titled MWII seeing how much it has pissed on the legacy of its previous games and is commonly confused with the far superior Modern Warfare 2.

My honest take on MWII is it's an incredibly disappointing sequel. Let me go in objective detail as to why below.

    1) The user interface is terrible. This was creatively directed by a literal TV streaming service employee who has zero experience in game design, and it clearly shows. Most of it feels like slopped-together boxes in horizontal rows with a disorganized layout. There's a reason there's a freaking search bar to actually search for what to find. It's simply an arduous process to navigate, have to click half a dozen buttons to get somewhere!

    2) Maps are a massive failure. At least three of them (Museum, Breenburg, and Crown Raceway) have been caught in either plagiarism, or worse, considerable legal trouble. Real-life locations for 'Museum' and 'Breenburg' have reportedly threatened ATVI with lawsuits for depicting their owned areas in a "violent manner." I personally don't have an issue with the latter since it is just a video game and has been done before, but did IW's art director think this through thoroughly? What do you expect was going to happen when a company ignores copyright infringement of another since it's nearly identical to the respective locations? Overall, I feel there's no direction flow to the maps--just throw excrements on a wall and see if it sticks, which maps like Taraq and Border Crossing have hopelessly fallen off!

    3) The attachment and weapon unlock systems should be completely redesigned. This was never an issue in the past 3 Cods--they had it simple and easy to follow. MWII basically forces you to level up other guns so you can unlock other attachments or weapons. It's a very backdoor way of doing it. A lot of the unlocks are very confusing thanks to the terrible UI. One of my friends said you have to hookup a mouse on an Xbox to be able to simply hover over the unlock criteria message HAHA.

The supposed "Gunsmith 2.0" doesn't even have a zoom or turntable inspection UI widget to view your current modded weapon in the menu. I can only view my weapon on a simple left-sided camera atm--which is freaking ridiculous! How can a CoD go backwards in terms of this--why can't I view my hard earned rewards on my weapon in detail? One last thing on attachments, the cons are so apparent of equipping attachments that I'm out here using a naked gun because the base schema is seemingly better than the fully progressed weapon!

    4) Perk system. Since when did CoD completely redesign the perk system in terms of how they're activated and countered? Countering enemy perks is non-existent since it's non-user activated but time-based instead. I feel going into rounds that my character is relearning skills over and over with timed precision, thus making him/her feel like they have a serious case of temporary Alzheimer's and not a trained soldier.

    5) Campaign. I'll go painfully short on this: It has several cool moments, but it's the most disjointed campaign I've played in years. The playable characters were uninspiring as hell. One mission I got to be a mom ordering Ghost around from point to point like a toddler via camera feed—like bro, why do my homie like that? The whole campaign just felt like a brief part 1 due to the coming year 2 campaign DLC's.

    6) Crashes galore. One time I got a crash that reset my MP progression for that launch period (had to re-unlock bunch of weapons). Literally got five hard crashes in one hour. Things like this really demotivate me from playing.

In conclusion, reusing the title of MW2 should be a crime. The marketing team did a fantastic job of convincing people to buy this unfinished title for an extra $10! The only reason I'm giving MWII a 2/10 is the awesome weapon animations and gunplay once again, but those don't conveniently conceal its core flaws.

While the campaign has good graphics and is fun enough to play, MW2's multiplayer is sadly the most incomplete, unbalanced, frustrating and less fun of the whole saga - and I played every COD since 2007's COD 4: Modern Warfare.

The game looks like it's still in beta. A LOT of bugs, bad UI, lack of content. It's just Modern Warfare (2019) with changes for the sake of changes. Stupid perk system. The gameplay became slower. Some maps are barely ok, others just awful. Nice MW I 2023 Re-skin, nothing new just the yearly AAA customer ripoff machine. Woke and without improvements, you really wanto to pay for the same game again?
So the agreement is that they can record your voice and share it even with the police in case you say something incorrect so you getr jailed? So they can share your voice, personal information and data without any accountability?

It's a money grab. I've played this game since release and am so disappointed in what CoD has become. Map selection is terrible, not sure how the developers sleep at night knowing the most played maps are the old rereleases. Warzone sucks, blackout was much better. Probably the worst Call of Duty game to date, and probably my least favorite game I've played on in recent memory.

    - Maps are terrible except for maybe 2, - Tons of stuttering whenever you fire or get into combat which makes playing nearly impossible - The TTK combined with training wheel aim assist makes controllers pretty much the only way to play effectively in higher tier lobbies.

    - The unlock tree is the most ridiculous one I've seen
    - The campaign is laughable and they tried so hard just to cram every character from the CoD series they could in it
    - Freezes anytime a game is about to start

IW has how many developers working on this game, and this is the best they could come up with??

I do not enjoy playing this game because it is too boring and woke. And it crashes all the time.

Other than good sound and weapon physics, everything else about this product is terrible.
The flat and primitive plot is more like a fan fiction of a schoolboy-fan of the Avengers(about how all the good ones defeat all the bad ones)... and the one who wrote this script did not even understand what the original story was so cool for(legendary betrayal scene). And even so, in order to

The flat and primitive plot is more like a fan fiction of a schoolboy-fan of the Avengers(about how all the good ones defeat all the bad ones)... and the one who wrote this script did not even understand what the original story was so cool for(legendary betrayal scene). And even so, in order to understand all that Santa-Barbara that is happening on the screen, you first need to drink something strong.
A blatant attempt to copy the game-play of the original game, but at the same time they fail, because what was relevant and interesting once in the distant past, now needs to be improved ... and even so there were ridiculously stupid moments, like a completely safe zone when you need to hide in the grass.
Enemies? Just as stupid as they were, although they now know how to bypass you from the flank. Difficulty level? The simplest formula - don't think about diversity, just make the bodies "thicker".
In the end, it's just a piece of high-quality graphics and sound, and low-quality of everything that makes the game even a little bit interesting.

Filled with bugs and hackers, but that doesn't matter to them unfortunately. Lousy business practices and they do not have gamer's best interests in mind. Better off using that money for toilet paper than buying this game.

    PC:

    - Time to Kill troppo troppo troppo troppo troppo troppo troppo troppo basso.

70 euro per questa cosa è una ladrata
voto 1 solo perchè per quel poco che ho giocato la campagna (nonostante i ripetuti crash) mi stava prendendo dopo anni di noia pure in quella modalità

The most advanced COD of all time was promised from many, but I think Vanguard was better and that doesn't mean anything really.. This game still doesn't work if you are not a consistent buyer from in game store. 20 bucks for bundle weekly, it will work like a charm.. This game is very bad, do not buy anything from it.. you are welcome

BLUF: Do NOT spend you're $70 on this game. If you're really interested in playing the latest Call of Duty, continue to track the state of the game and/or wait for this game to go on sale. Crazy how Activision has the right to charge $10+ for the game, yet delivered a bug filled ride and a toxic mulitplayer. Additionally, the game has A LOT of bugs and stability issues. Look elsewhere this year.

Appalling. Where do I start? The campaign was terrible and riddled with bugs. So much is the multiplayer. The only decent thing about it is the graphics. It's just pure cringe. The UI is terrible, the gameplay is a mess. I wish I could get my money back. And could you be any more woke?

Brilliant modern military shooter with a strong campaign and excellent gunplay, but in many respects a foundation for subsequent updates.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II offers excellent, perfectly toned-down multiplayer that – unlike the previous games in the series – requires good but not superhuman reflexes. Guns feel better than ever and the extremely dynamic, huge Ground War is a great mode for a Battlefield fan. Modern Warfare II is simply the best online shooter available. What’s more, the single player campaign is outstanding too. Missions in its second half might disappoint those who expect to have their finger on the trigger all the time, but amazing graphics and some really cool assignments make bearing with those gameplay experiments worth it.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022) is a fine sequel that checks all of the boxes when it comes to a serviceable CoD campaign, good co-op options, and a super shiny competitive multiplayer that plays well enough for most. However, Infinity Ward has played it safe with this CoD installment, leaning into the strengths of Modern Warfare (2019) while making minor improvements, but ultimately failing to push the envelope in any meaningful way.
