    Great single player, weapon sounds absolutly fantastic. And that perfect crisp control only a Carmack powered game engine is capable of, highly recommended.

    Game was as expected, used same engine as MW2 which is what I was hoping for. Everything seems well balanced, completely different from MW2 in all other ways besides graphics. All these idiots rating a 0 because they are calling it a DLC or expansion pack or whatever bs reason when they don't even have the actual game.     There was an unfinished storyline from MW2.
    At first, everyone was excited for the future events of that storyline. "what happened to soap and price?!" "where the hell is Makarov" and now everyone complains because its more of the same?! i don't see people going mad when a writer tells a single story in 3 or even 9 seperate books. what? maybe they should consider changing the    Simply put.

    Graphically the game is impeccable not to mention the sound and gameplay.
    Of course there's always room for some improvements.
    Sometimes i wonder if any developers should ever listen to all the noisy begging around the game.

    Just as i wanted it to be. A buffed up version of mw2. Sure they could use ranked dedis aswell. But i do prefer lobby system over dedis since im a casual gamer. Graphics are ok imo. I didnt want to buy a brand new computer for this game. My old rig runs it flawlessly. The gameplay is awesome. Run and gun is just in my taste.     Decent game, have both bf3 and mw3. Switch between the two when i get bored of it. Overall I enjoyed both games equally. Although I love battlefields ,multilayer more its a nice change to switch to mw3 once in awhile.

    I can't believe the bad reviews this game is getting. This is my first modern warfare game I have played at it is awesome. Perhaps it might be similar to other modern warfare games which I have not played but to a first time player it is unreal! 10 out of 10

    BF3 fanboys are so LAME. The campaign was epic, best one til date 10/10. Multiplayer was awesome they did a great job 10/10 and survival mode is kinda fun 10/10.

    From what i have seen i will not waste my money on this game. i have COD4 (the start of great things), World At War (better...SUPERFUNN), MW2 (spec ops enough said), black ops (four players in zombies .....). now with the user reviews i have seen i think i will just wait till Infinity Ward &Treyarch make games again ohhh and Bobby Kotick start thinking about the users Thanx Kik

    Fan-bloody-tastic! Picks up where MW2 left off seamlessly. Graphics 10/10. Sound 10/10, story who cares! Can't get enough, 6 hours is not long enough but I'll be playing multiplayer for months I imagine so all-in-all great value.

    I'm not a fanboy, but it's simply the best online FPS, I don't see here 1.8 mark. Yes, it may be "DLC for MW2", but it's a sequel to MW2, it doesn't need to have everything changed upside down.

However I won't be doing that as they are totally different games. Call of Duty has a more arcade style with a faster pace. Battlefield 3 focuses on the real life aspect of war, which is obviously a slower tempo but inModern Warfare 3 has been released pretty close to Battlefield 3's entry into the gaming market.     Single Player Campaign

    MW3's single player campaign involves an all out war taking you to new locations in different countries such as London and Paris while switching between different characters perspectives. Some missions are a lot of fun, others you may find irritating. Controlling a gunship remotely, shooting from a speed boat, calling in bombing runs and so on are fun moments. Call of Duty games have and still remain to be linear with having to follow a set path and pretty much standing in the exact position required before the game moves forward. This is annoying to say the least. Team mates get in the way during action moments. Line up the perfect shot and you have squad mates either pushing into you, resulting in moving out of position or simply wandering in your line of fire. For the most part though they do blend in and support very well. Sometimes too well. There are moments whereby you have to follow your squad through buildings only to have them kill all the enemies on there own deeming you simply a passenger in the script set down by the creators. Some features in the single player campaign I really wish were never included in the first place. Cut scenes which give the instruction to press a specific button to win the ensuing battle or event. Miss the button/press the wrong one and you'll get mission fail and have to re-do it again. Battle through intense missions without dying and the one that gets you is press "x" now. It's unnecessary and really annoying. I have my finger on the trigger button of mouse ready to shoot and it doesn't occur to me that I need to quickly press "e" or something on the keyboard. Does it draw me into the scene and feel part of it. Absolutely not, those moments just slow the game down and ruin an otherwise impressive campaign. I had a blast with this game. Definitely one of the best single player moments I've had in a long time.

    Multiplayer

    There's an immediate difference compared to Black Ops and that is dedicated servers have been removed, and in it's place is the Modern Warfare 2 console like system. Join matches with random people in player hosted matches. As soon as the hosting player quits a match everyone's game is paused while the system allocates a new player as host. It's slow, annoying and takes away a lot of the fun. Dedicated servers also allowed players to customize the matches they're looking for. Like a specific map then you could find a server that continuously plays that map uninterrupted. With player hosted matches this is not possible.

    "It's very challenging and a lot of fun"

    Matches are pretty much the same as previous Call of Duty games. Weapons have changed slightly. Maps are varied, some good others not so fun. Plenty of different match-play modes from capture flags to just all out deathmatch.

    An interesting addition this year is the Spec Ops Survival game mode. This is similar to Zombie mode from previous games with the twist of having waves of soldiers, dogs, attack helicopters and the like. It's very challenging and a lot of fun. Between waves of attacks your rewarded with credits which can be used to purchase new weapons, ammo or special abilities such as air support.

    Graphics

    Graphics are really poor on the PC version with the wrong settings. Use the settings at the bottom of this page to achieve the best graphics possible. Lighting effects are really good. Sounds

    There's not a lot of realism in the sounds. Shooting from any gun doesn't give the believable sound that it could be an actual real life weapon. There's obvious room for improvement in terms of weapon sounds.

    SUMMARY

    The single player campaign is a really good reason to own this game. I found it so much fun, though it wasn't difficult. Completed the campaign on hardened difficulty in 5hrs 30mins. Not particularly long or challenging but a lot of fun nonetheless.
    Multiplayer follows the same formula as before. The added survival mode will have you coming back for more. Black Ops has better multiplayer maps. Modern Warfare 3 isn't the classic everyone was hoping it would be, however it is a fun game that will keep you entertained for hours.

    The multiplayer is great, mostly good connections and a large variety of weapons and perks. Customization might not be as big as in Black Ops, but that was an excessive amount anyway.
    The only grief I had, was that the most overpowered weapons were unlocked almost instantly. I would've thought that IW learned from the mw2 UMP45, but they didn't. Oh well, anyone with a decent set of tactics can easily take the abusers out.

    Just to remind everyone, MW3 is a great game. It's the best from CoD4 and MW2 combined, and the matchmaking service is working a lot smoother, to my experience. Don't hate if you just don't like the game. Always be objective, and don't be biased.    … Expand

    This game deserve a medal, i really love that game, it's same as MW2, and that's why it's a very good game, i loved MW2.
    You can say that this is "MW2.5" but i believe that this game is better than BF3, and i'm not alone.

    It's worth noting that this game has a single-player campaign, which many of the reviews bombing it don't seem to take into consideration. If you're interested in only the multi-player modes, then yeah, you'll probably be a bit disappointed. Still, MW3 may not reinvent the wheel, but it's far from a bad game.

    More maps, full 55" screen resolution. Weapon recycle sounds more relalistic. More weapons. Alternate Kill Streak rewards / Support. Need to decrease weapon sight illumination, I set my Eotech 577 lower. I have 3 x Mag, not sure what power game uses. I like Red Dot and Aimpoint on the same weapon as well as Remington sniper rifle. Have not gotten far enough into MP to see if its available.

    This is the best Call of Duty game to date, surprisingly great multiplayer, fantastic story, and Spec Ops is great too (although I have not tried coop yet).

    Well I see the BF trolls reviews are in, now listen to a rational review. If you enjoy the other Modern Warfare games, you'll like this one. Sure, not a whole lot different going on, but the campaign is amazing and the game is still fun. Screw the haters, if you like COD this game is for you.

    Don't let all the reviews tell you the game is bad I have played every cod and this one is great just like cod4 gun on gun fights and mw2 kill streaks(new ones also). The people who give the negative rate more then likely are bad at the game or there pc is stone aged.COD MW3 is great!!!

    Great game love the new guns/kill streaks 75 plus clan members getting there copy this weekend happy times for [AAG]. And for all the bad reviews the game is great sure some bugs here and there but future patch will clear it up.

    An amazing game. Dont listen to these idiots who clearly havn't even played the game. The single player ties both call of duty mw and mw2 together and brings it to a climatic end. It is very strong on its own and has a great background to it. The multiplayer is very different to mw & 2, however the guns are similar. They are much fairer as now a smg can stand up to a assult rifle etc. The deicated servers not being ranked did at first piss me off, but when you think about it they have two options with it. One - WaW standard servers where the admin has full control = Rank hackers = bans. Black Ops - Little server control = people whine. The match making is much better than in MW2 as it is very fast, hosts are normally good and there is very little lag. I have both MW3 and BF3 on PC i have had all the COD's since the first and all the Battlefield's since BF2. I would say that MW3 has a lot longer playablity than BF3 does and it is much more enjoyable.… Expand

    I am sorry!!! I speak a little English. In my opinion Call of Duty MW3 is the best first person shooter on the world. I love MW2. MW3 is a new MW2, new map, new challenges, new kill strikes, new sound effects only old graphics!!!! I love that game so much.

    I love this game it is one of the best i ever played. Mw3 has one of the beast multiplayer experiences and the new spec ops mode is cool. All in need to say is this game is An amazing game.

    This game has really come into itself. It has started to pick even though we are hopeful for admin tools like Black Ops. Our clan has started to embrace this game as we are a COD clan and always will be. Support is key from the makers of this game and I hope they will follow through..

And I don't believe in american bravade, as them wiping Russian forces by ground forces. SP is not my object for judge.

    Me parecio muy bien optimizado, la historia no es larga pero es elaborada... no veo como un CONTRA que se parezca al MW2, es mas... me prece un PRO, ya el MW2 es un excelente juego. Igual creo que hoy en dia lo que importa en un juego y que le da longevidad es el MP, esperemos que el MW3 sea la conbinacion entre MW2 y el COD4. Espero no nos desilucionen con los MODTOOLS.

    Well just want to say that MW 3 is better(than Battlefield 3).You are going to ask me why ? MW3 has already received a patch and the game is really fast paced. The new killstreak system is great, there are a lot of good weapons including snipers to choose from. It might just be an expansion to MW2 for some of you, but it is stillJust because it looks like MW2, is no reason to bash the game.     It's the best. I mean if you liked MW(MW2) - you will like this. I like everything - story(well, it's not the most original one, but it's still good), Spec Ops(it's a lot of fun) and of course the engine of the game(which allows me to have beautiful graphics without change of my PC).

    I got both BF3 and MW3 both are good games. I bought mw3 for the always polished multiplayer but the ending of the trilogy is what got me most excited. Finally seeing the end. I cannot wait what well hear next. I gave this a 10 because it is a good game all around. Sure the graphics arn't as good as BF3's Frostbite 2.0 but Gameplay>Graphics is a real gamers motto.     They enhance perks for multiplayer and kept the gameplay and I LIKE IT.
    I saw a lot of comparison with BF3 and its not the same game
    BF3 is only beautiful and i dont like the gameplay but i prefer arcade game like MW3

The new support strike package gives a novice player the opportunity to experience kill streaks and contribute to the team. While assault is still the good old kill streaks, and specialist gives you the opportunity to earn perks that make you a killing machine. Oh and spec ops, wow! One of my favorite features of the new game with missions and the all new survival mode which has its own ranking system complete with its own set of unlocks along the way. The PC version is very good. Runs buttery smooth on my machine and also has support for dedicated servers once the option is selected from the main screen. There are a lot of more options on the PC version vs. the console, with dedicated server support you get game types like gun game, in addition the dedicated server support encourages competitive clean play and bans cheaters and hackers. If one is debating on whether to purchase the game, then wonder no more, buy it, don't miss out on the culmination of the Call of Duty experience. Don't listen to the haters, it really is a great game. Any good competitive PC gamer would love this game, take it from me, I have played it. It is an experience all its own.… Expand

After some missions the game just shows himself and it was amazing. The graphics are fully optimized and are delightful for the eyes, the scenarios are very creatives and everything its well done, but don't expect for an BF3.     I bought license for MW2, Black Ops and finally MW3 so far.. and the biggest disappointment is... Black Ops. Because of the poor optimisation for Win 7 (as far as i read). MW3 thought brought things up for the series, as far as I'm concerned, being everything that MW2 was to me and more. No DirectX 11, no completely new things?     They continued the single player story perfectly with all the favorite characters.
    I won't say this game is perfect - It's got alot of the same stupid bugs as the last games. BUT IT IS GREAT FUN TO PLAY!

Leveling up guns is a fantastic idea as well. The level of customization and artistic potential of the new system is massive compared to past call of duty games.     COD4 was a huge success and I have to say it was really my first FPS I got addicted with and played COD4 for 1500 hours. COD4 was great and finally a GOOD welcoming change after CSS, Quake, Wolfenstein and TF engines. I remember though at that time people wanted to go back to WW2 style. So Treyarch decided to make WaW which ended up to be a pure disaster. Finally MW2 came out! Although it was a great game, lack of dedicated servers on PC did not make me want to play MW2 a lot. Therefore Treyarch then decided to release BLACK OP re-installing previous dedicated servers.

    I have to disagree with 85% of negative critics posted here. It is true that MW3 resembles a lot to MW2 but who cares? seriously? I know the franchise has been releasing a game every year? Get it over it lol again who cares? If they want to make money let them be! MW3 is, to me, an awesome game. I started it and I got addicted instantly. MW3 combines all previous years of experience this franchise has gained from COD4, WaW, MW2 and BLACK OP. Guns are really good, I haven't tried all of them yet - but so far rifles are well balanced. SMGs are SMGs. Melee got nerfed slightly to make it more realistic and finally many perks have been reviewed, changed and unlike in BLACK OP, akimbos are now only secondary guns. I am relieved to not see P90 akimbos anymore.

    As you would expect, MW3 maps are truly well designed. Although there are a lot of openings - you can't really "own" a map as MW3 is based on fast-pace style. It is good (gives new players the opportunity to kill and respawn is almost instant) and bad (for veteran players, it can be sometimes very frustrating - veterans can be killed from any corners)

    I am also very happy that Infinity Ward has introduced a whole new system in MP that allows you to level up a gun. I also enjoy new perks that can make you invisible to Air Support/Choppers.

    Finally, perhaps it is only me but I feel like MW3 really learnt from MW2 mistakes and Auto matchmaking on MW3 is fairly solid. The engine is really consistent.

    New modes such as Survival and Co op mission are really great! See I never really liked Co op mission. But MW3 made me change my opinion! Also if you are a "zombie-fan-kid" like I was in BLACK OP, you will love the survival mode Infinity Ward has introduced in MW3.

    In addition to people's critics:
    1. No real innovation? I don't think so, I think there is when it comes down to perks, guns etc. Although it is minimal it doesn't really bother me like most raging kids.
    2. Another cash? LOL so what? seriously who cares?
    3. Bored of Campaign? At first I was very excited about MW3 SP, but the more you play the more bored you get. Why? Because you try to finish the game in 7 days. I'm pretty sure if you space out your gameplay you won't find Campaign as boring as most people think. It took me 8hrs to finish Campaign on Veteran mode.
    4. MP is exactly the same as in MW2? Yea pretty much and I'm happy about it. BLACK OP wasn't much for me. Im more an Infinity Ward fan.    … Expand

    I'm really enjoying this game, it's so much fun if you have friends to play with, the MP works really well on my PC and I do not have a very good PC for gaming so, hands down, it's great. The Spec Ops is awesome in two players, you can have soo much fun in Survival. What more can I say? Don't fall for what others are saying about the game, cause for some it works!

    The game satisfied me completely. It is, as always, cool and full of action. I've replayed it twice already, and will do this many times in future. Thanks devs for giving ability to see the end of the trilogy on my PC, which I upgraded specially for the first MW. You ROCK guys!

    A Metascore of 2.1? Of course. BF3 fans are spamming. I've only played the 'Gun game', 'Survival' and 'One in the Chamber' gamemodes locally, and I can already tell that the game is not the same. Of course, some of the weapons and perks are the same, but why fix what's already great? Besides, it's an FPS. They're all the same.

It feels like mw2 without overpowered grenade launchers. PC version is bad. Some of features was even taken off, like adjustable FOV... Im disappointed, its not worth 60â

    the game runs smoothly on a low spec pc. but still has really good graphics. i love this fact about it. the story picks up from the prequel to modern warfare 3 (mw-2). real intense storyline. you will play two new characters.

    Great game. Compare to blackop the graphic are really good. Run smoth on my computer. Best graphics I have seen in my life.
    Nice sound.

    I did not play much the sp, but for the time I played it was good.

    The mp is great, some problems with the netcode but most of it run pretty well.

    Great single player although it was a little confusing at some points but I enjoyed it. The graphics is not the best but it is for the best since not everyone have awesome gaming computers and the attempt to make the graphics better in black ops was just a joke. I rather play MW3 on best graphics with no lag than play BF3 on lowest graphics just to get rid of the lag. When I play online IGreat single player although it was a little confusing at some points but I enjoyed it. The special ops mode is similar to that of modern warfare 2, with the exception of the newly added survival mode, in which waves of enemies come at you from land, air, and canine. Special ops can be played online with a friend or with some random online player. Multiplayer is very addictive and fast-paced. It is more run and gun than Battlefield 3, with less strategy and team play, but more "action." You can level up you weapons as well as your soldier of course, which is definitely needed to compete. The biggest disappointment I see with the game is the quantity of cheaters/hackers in the multiplayer. In Battlefield 3, this is not a problem. In MW3, a game is ruined the moment a player with an aim-bot or with the ability to see/shoot through walls enters the game. You can be having a blast playing and then the cheaters/hackers ruin it for everybody. This Really Needs to be addressed in a game update or something. Again, I love both MW3 and BF3.     Call of Duty 3 is a shooter game about invading Russia like in world war 2. You play as american soldier who fight in historical battles like stalingrad and gettysberg. once you kill enough russians you have to fight vladimir stalin who is boss of russia like in real life. This is very good game, I recomment for history buff or war veteran 10/10

    Game is a game which good players can shine and stomp entire teams. It is what people ask for when they ask for skill based. Totally worth the money although expansion isn't worth getting since BO:2 comes out.

    Great game. Interesting story and good multiplayer. Always loved the game from Infinity Ward. I hope that the next part of the Modern Warfare franchise will only get better

    Sure it's like mw2 and mw1, but its still tonnes of fun. I'd recommend buying this game on sale on steam when on sale. Don't get blops 2 because that's complete trash.

    Thus, I can't recommend buying this unless you (still) like the fast pace, the customizable weaponry and the short matches, of about 10 minutes each. With the very important mention that, essentially, nothing has changed.
