    This game should be called Generic Shooter: Bad Performance.
    I didn't thought it's possible to create something more awful then Ghosts. I was wrong. Plot is disappointing and predictable. The very beginning feels like some kind of weird AW deja vu.
    And performance is truly abysmal. Outdated graphics (thanks to outdated engine), but at the same time this is literally no PC that can handle    This game should be called Generic Shooter: Bad Performance.

Prepare to low frame rate, constant frame drops, lots of technical issues, crashes and constant hang ups. Well, if you were "fortunate" enough to play Arkham Knight on release you probably know what's waiting for you. And that if you even get it started (lots of people on Steam said that they even can't launch it).
    I hope you get it: don't buy this game or ask for a refund. And f*ck all that critics giving this pile of sh*t high scores. Why you mislead your customers?    … Expand

    Here we go again is all i can say. I feel like i am playing arkham knight when it released all over again.

    What a buggy disaster. I have a high end pc and this should not be happening.     Loading into the game is fine and i am fortunately not experiencing any of the load issues like others are, however when i load the campaign aftee about 5 minutes everythinf screeches to a halft and the frame rate drops unbelievably low and i cannot play. Restart and repeat the process to have it grind to a halt in another 5 or so minutes.

    Completely unplayable and i am left yet again asking the developer - did you fking play your own game on pc before releasing it?

    I have a ps4, x1 and pc... really startinv to think my investment into the pc ecosystem was a miskate because it seems like a lot of high end developers enjoy playing jokes on us by releasing substandard and broken games every other month.

    Avoid at the current time.

    First Call of Duty I didn't like. Just didn't "feel it" (Note, this is based on multiplayer, never touched COD singel player). Awful optimization issues did not help, 5930K/970 SLI and frame drops to 10-20 fps ever 30sec from 100. Seems to have bad memory leak issues.

Not gonna drop this to medium/low because the devs don't care to make a proper game. My PC can run all other games very well (even Arkham Knight), there is no excuse for dodgy performance in this game that looks very "meh".     Badly optimized for PC...stuttering completely wrecks the experience.
    I would not recommend getting this game...and look at the "verified" reviewers reviews.

    At the time of writing this had 2 80+ reviews and 1 90+ review.
    Obviously paid for, but don't fall for it...DO NOT GET THIS GAME.

    Once again, we are getting a "game" recycled over and over and over and over AGAIN. I'm sorry COD fanboys just face the truth and go play a real game that isn't all about shooting everything. If you like recycled sh*t, not a great story, one new gameplay feature then go play Call of Duty Black Ops III.

    Get your refund from STEAM before you play for two hours. Or save the two hours , wait a few days and try again if you really want this one. I;m going to save the money for Fallout 4 instead.

    Additionally game doesn't bring anything new (in fact it takes away few things). Simplified non-skill based run'n'gun style shooter.     Why is on Metacritic the first few reviews are always positive and they always have 1/2 reviews and ratings? Is this a tradition or those are "payed" reviews? With frases like "buy it". A real reviewer would never write that: they have no interest in you paying for the game.
    Obviously anyone who played CODBO3 won't give a 10 rating. My rig destroys PS4 and Xbox one, but this game on PC is quite clearly a rushed job. This is the same issue that Batman Arkham Knight had, not sure if the company outsourced the game to others, or they just didn'tYet again another poorly optimized port that is becoming a far too common issue with PC games.     I've already played beta on steam some time ago, so I didn't expect anything new from the game.
    I'll keep it short: even though I was barely able to play this game at all (due to performance issues), I've still played for around 40 mins of the campaign and had to turn it off.
    Campaign is dull, boring and repetative.
    Multiplayer brings nothing new.
    This is a waste of time and cash.

    Absolute abomination of a game. There is no innovation, and most ideas are ripped straight out of previous games. The campaign is laughably bad !! The multi-player maps are uninspired. On top of that, there are tons of glitches. Quit buying this and play some better games. Click on my name to see the games that are actually worth playing. Quit giving these incompetent lazy devs your money.

    I can say this is the best call of duty game ever made. don't doubt on buying this. great story missed with awesome and fun zombies and multiplayer. and new modes such as nightmare and free run and with the modding tools coming next year it will be even better.

    Sci-fi is cool, CoD (more or less) cool but mixing together wasn't a particularly good idea...again. Story is a huge whatever (again), gameplay too. Stuttering on 870 GTX is very frustrating, has lots of typical big studio optimalization bugs. FFS, in 2015, it's not enough. Maybe the game itself it's good for 13 y olds but maybe not. Whatevs, I'm selling this crap - if I can.

    I knew it was going to be crap! Luckily did not spend full price (of Eur 60)but only Eur 28 with G2A discounts - but I already regret that I still spent that much money on it. It is not worth more than Eur 5.

I had major lag compensation problems since MW3 and it was never fixed, just little less noticable in BO2 and AW. Usually after playing few games in a row it was becoming decent, but in case of BO3 it's always bad and worst of all COD games.

    to be honest , call of duty should stop producing any further games . why they are stuck on future wars ? beside the bad optimization i don't see a story , if like a war games i like it to be realistic set in the US or maybe Russia etc with an ak-47 with some nice graphics that's it ****

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This will be a bit of a rant about the multiplayer component of BO3. It is not a review as such but is still all from experience, which I feel will you will encounter should you purchase this game. The multiplayer is probably the worst I have experienced. It's as if they blended Advanced Warfare and Destiny and tried to sell it as COD. The specialist classes are interesting at first, until you realize that everyone plays as the two most powerful ones. Kill-streaks require more kills to acquire and can be shot down almost instantly by rockets. Some specialist skins require kills with their specialty weapon; this wouldn't be so difficult if the multiplayer wasn't abysmally unbalanced. 5 minutes of play-testing would have made it obvious to the developers that the first-unlocked weapons should swap places with the higher-rank weapons. There are about 5-7 of the most powerful weapons that are used by everyone. The addition of wall-running removes the sense of map control entirely, you get shot from every side except the front by some grasshopper with an SMG. Maps are so similar to BO2 I confuse the layout. I question the mental capability of those who defend this game. Do not purchase.… Expand

    This game is mirror picture of advanced warfare, there is nothing new, perhaps swimming :D
    People don't play any other modes, than tdm, or free for all, so you get bored fast.
    Also there is very big input lag and game is terrible optimized.
    Save your money, don't give free money developers, which are spamming same **** over and over.

    Played the game for 30 minutes and then another 30 minutes really tried but i couldn't play it anymore, looks like old game, bad port, i really have nothing more to say that a majority of people here have already told, not a hater was a fan of series long time ago but now ....... whatever.

    This is one of the worst call of duty ever. I don't understand how the critics rate it 8/10? The franchise is going backward, gone are the days when $1b sales were expected. Now the company probably doesn't even make $100m, thus sales figures are not public anymore. It's sad how the game is going down the drain.

    But while all of this is nice, the eternal    Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is a game that really wants you to know that it is pretty.     But while all of this is nice, the eternal question facing me when I’m playing a game is “am I having fun?” And when I was playing this game, for much of its length, my response to that would be “Kind of?” at best.

    This is a game I put down for a year between playing the first three missions and completing the game. That isn’t to say I didn’t try to play it again; I remember picking it up about four months after putting it down, deciding to replay the second (tutorial) mission because I’d forgotten the controls, then doing so again several months later, because both times, while I had beaten the tutorial mission again, I just sort of didn’t feel terribly compelled to play the rest of the game.

    Indeed, I think it is safe to say that the only reason why I actually bothered beating this game is because it was eating up over 90 gigs of hard drive space, and thus, if I ever was going to beat it, I’d better do it now, because there was no way I was going to redownload it.

    And this is kind of telling, I think. I had to make myself play through the game, and while it was never actually bad, it was never really compelling, either. There were lots of pretty battles in exploding and falling apart places - in fact, every single level after the first two missions features at least some part of the level falling apart around you, and some of the later levels, the whole level is falling apart around you. This trick gets a bit old after a while, doubly so as these are never actually threatening – I never once had the level fall apart under me and actually kill me, despite the game trying to seem threatening about it.

    And this sort of faux spectacle held through much of the game – there were a lot of theoretically spectacular battles, but almost the entire game consisted of fighting just some dudes with guns or robots with guns, dressed up to try and look pretty. But I wanted the gameplay to be pretty too, and despite the fact that you can double jump and run on the walls, this was almost never useful in actual combat.

    This is, I think, a big part of what made the game feel dull – you are a cybernetic supersoldier, but throughout the game, just a few bullets will kill you, forcing you to retreat to cover and gradually shoot out from it. This is not a game with click-to-cover mechanics – you have to organically take cover behind environment objects by moving/ducking/going prone behind them and then shifting around to take potshots before retreating – but in the end, it doesn’t matter much. Most of the game is spent hiding in cover, trying to avoid getting shot while your health regenerates, and almost every battle is fought in this exact same way.

    This is a big problem, because it means that, for all the set dressing, the core of the game is pretty samey. There’s only a few battles where a boss (of which there are a couple) will actually either destroy the environment around you or move around to force you to react, and a small number of setpiece battles where enemies move to flank you or appear from various directions, forcing you to react.

    Most of the time, you can just sit behind cover, shoot people, then go back to the cover while you regain your health, making it feel like a pretty standard FPS. Your cool cybernetic movement enhancements are only occaisionally useful in battle, and then, it is mostly just jumping up to a higher level, rather than making your way around the environment in an agile manner and raining down death on your foes while running along walls.

    This lack of dynamicism carries over to the powers as well – in theory, the cybernetic powers are supposed to make you feel different from a standard soldier. Some were reminiscent of the plasmids from the Bioshock series.

    But ultimately, these largely weren’t that interesting in actual gameplay. The problem was that a lot of them ultimately trivialized encounters. Fireflies, for instance, would fly out and set enemies on fire and distract them from firing – a very powerful ability, that only took a few seconds to recharge after it had run. I used this power through much of the campaign. But the problem was it was never really fun to use; I’d use the power, duck behind cover, then move out and shoot people (who mostly died anyway due to the fireflies, no further involvement necessary from me).

    All in all, this is a game that I never felt like I needed to play. It was not terrible, but it was never great, and when I walked away from it, I never felt like I was missing anything.    … Expand

    (Note: I am writing this in March, 5 months after release for the Xbox 1.) The worst game I have ever bought. So broken it hard crashes ever few matches. The netcode is somehow even worse than previous titles so almost every match is affected by significant lag. Even if the game was completely fixed from the host of bugs and poor netcode it would only be average at best. The story line is(Note: I am writing this in March, 5 months after release for the Xbox 1.) The worst game I have ever bought. So broken it hard crashes ever few matches. The netcode is somehow even worse than previous titles so almost every match is affected by significant lag. Even if the game was completely fixed from the host of bugs and poor netcode it would only be average at best. The story line is so bad I quit before I finished it. The multiplayer is so rinse and repeat it feels like you are playing the same maps over and over even though there are 12. Serious weapon balance issues. Movement options they copied and pasted from other games don't add to the game in a meaningful way they just speed up the pace on maps that are already too small and too chaotic. Copied and pasted the specialists from Destiny and they make it even easier for noobs to get free kills. Scorestreaks are weak and expensive. They implemented drop box random reward system again but promised they wouldn't put anything but cosmetics in there. Then they put new weapons in there and the odds are incredibly stacked against you earning them the natural way so you have to pay for it. Not to mention you are still using the 1996 Quake engine.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Estaba muy ilusionado con este CoD, sobre todo por quien lo hace, acostumbrados a sus buenos ports para PC como Black Ops 2. Pero es una vergüenza lo mal optimizado que está y el lag que hay siempre, seas host o no, es habitual ver +100 de ping en la mayoría de usuarios en partida, da igual que conexión tengas, 1 mb o 300 mb...y ya que haya que tenre un pc con +8GB para que vaya estable en la mayoría de casos, es una pasada. Ni The Witcher 3...

    Luego, lo he probado con mi portátil con una 840m un i7 y 8GB de Ram, con el que corro BF4 en Ultra a 768p y +30 fps y si lo bajo a medios +60 fps sin problemas... y aquí tengo que bajar la resolución a 720p y rescalado a 600p para que vaya estable a 35fps con todo en bajo. Lo dicho, vergonzoso, y más aún habiendo tenido 3 años de desatollo y una beta pública casi 3 semanas entre todas las plataformas.

    Sin contar todo esto, y hablando solo del juego... pienso lo que pensé en la beta: hemos visto los mejores mapas y el resto estoy seguro que serán muy genéricos y pasilleros. Con el 4º mapa de la beta ''stronghold'' se empezaron a cumplieron mis sospechas, y ahora con la salida del juego se terminan de confirmar... mapas ratoneros llenos de ventanas y huecos, perfectos para Camperos. Solo 3 o 4 se salvan en mi opinión (Combine, Evac, Hunted y Nuk3town) y uno de ellos es de bonus por reserva y reciclado de los otros dos Black Ops. Sin contar todas las cosas ue tienes para guarrear: minas trampas y eléctricas, poder ver las huellas de los enemigos, mira térmica para camperos, sexto sentido para ver en el mini mapa sin uav cuando tienes enemigos cercanos, armas que no hace falta ni apuntar para matar... da puto asco.

    3/10 por el modo zombis que es divertido y la campaña que es entretenida y rejugable (cuando te la pasas una vez te la puedes pasar una segunda con una historia un poco diferente mezclando zombis). El resto, BASURA.    … Expand

    Game's graphics look like COD 2006. Just like Activision convert COD from Console to PC without optimized it. A lot of people get FPS drop while playing and have no any support to fix it... me neither.

Fighting a robot army that are bullet sponges and stupid ASP units that need bullets then missiles to take down? Screw all the other video cards. Usually it's not your graphics card that sucks, it's the developers not developing the game for low-end rigs as well. Please patch and FIX THIS GAME!     Game can never find a multiplayer match. Have to wait 3+ hours for matchmaking to find a single match and then hope it doesn't disconnect in the middle. The single player offers no challenge and the characters are entirely forgettable.

    Impossible to play. FPS drops. Servers with huge lags. Can't connect to the servers. If you edit a class against the bots the game freezes. Gets Disconnected wile in a match a lot of times and then lose all the exp. Expensive game with a lot of problems. Poor optimization and very very slow company patchs to solve everything.

    The game makes my computer completely freeze up and crash every couple of rounds. I play loads of other hardware-hungry games on my computer and none of them have technical problems. Even Overwatch, which is over half a year away from release, has not once crashed on me in about 10 hours of play. Black Ops 3 crashes about every 30 minutes and requires me to forcefully reboot my computer.

    I didn't expect that from Treyarch. I really liked both Black Ops and Black Ops 3.. But after playing this.. (cough) **** I thought it's Infinity Ward's CoD. Awful graphics, no optimization whatsoever. Boring singleplayer, characters. There's nothing good in this game. Not even multiplayer. One of the worst CoD games EVER made. I rate 3 out of 10.

    Definitive stutter benchmark for your pc.
    Extra textures need 10 gb vram at 1080p,incredible but true.
    For 4k resolution you need a gpu with 24 gb of vram i think.

    This game is a joke. Horrendous writing, bugs everywhere, boring weapon gameplay. The presentation is neat, but after the first mission that doesn't help the game get any less boring. Literally not gonna finish this and get a refund.

    Overall this is what happens when you design a game and the marketing and finance team makes every last decision.

    Singleplayer is just bad blueprint of somebody's ideas. Just miss it please.
    Multyplayer (important thing to buy for me) is rotten, broken, dead, beating in convulsions. Dedicated servers is BS! Heavy lag compensation, bunch of cheaters since day 1, horrible class and weapon balance.
    Optimization still isn't here boys. 1 month passed, 1 month.

Completed the Story & Nightmare mode with slopy FPS issues.     On the other hand, Ubisoft - after there last year's disaster with AC: Syndicate, they are now started pushing back the PC release - AC: Unity first consoles than PC, Far Cry: Primal first console than PC, I guess the same with The Division, and few others.    … Expand

    Piece of **** i really don't want write about it. It's a game for make money, not for gamers. I played 15-20 hours and in the half of game i really not understand about this game, why i kill this enemies, or another. That game for 8+ and 12- people. Really stupid

    This game was a major bummer. I don't want to come off as pretentious, but I am a pretty good player on the COD series. I always manage to adapt to the game, even on the first day. After the recent titles of the series, I thought that it was bound to go downhill. And it did. I'm not going to lie, this game is not worth the hype. Every COD I pick up I do well in, and have a good time. AndThis game was a major bummer. I don't want to come off as pretentious, but I am a pretty good player on the COD series. I always manage to adapt to the game, even on the first day. After the recent titles of the series, I thought that it was bound to go downhill. And it did. I'm not going to lie, this game is not worth the hype. Every COD I pick up I do well in, and have a good time. And each time my experience is a little bit different, THAT'S why I like it. They introduce little things here and there that make the game fun. COD4 had some of the best hit detection, guns, mechanics and sounds/gun feel for its time and holds true today. The modern Warfare series all had a special feel to them, 2 and 3 really had something working for them and I can't quite lay a finger on it. Black ops 1, people didnt seem to like but I enjoyed it. This is when I went from an average player to exceptional player, always top of the leaderboard. Black ops 2 comes around and knocks it out of the park, despite a crappy beginning release. Now I don't know if I can say I have high hopes for BO3, because the launch issues BO2 had were pretty minor in game mechanics, like spawns and whatnot. BO3 has good spawns, I won't lie. At least I havent been dogged by em too hard. But the issues at launch for BO3 are so scattererd I can't even really offer advice. Playing this series so long, BO3 felt like the down syndrome brother to BO2. Improved graphics, wall running and insanely obnoxious specialists all sum up a pretty bad game. ("did we mention we added water play??") I always played the COD series for the multiplayer experience. Each game offered me something I enjoyed. Even Ghosts, the most hated game of all. At least ghosts had immaculate hit detection and unique, fun to use guns. Shots fired. BO3 is so uncharismatic it HURTS. The guns are lame, the gun sounds are lame (exception: snipers) and gun feel is lame. When you pick up a gun, it should feel unique. In bo3, there are maybe 3 guns that really feel different. And that's just minute. This feels like a copy pasted edition of the series, and really was disgusting. I played the beta, had a bad time. Picked up the game for whatever reason, hated it every day. I played BO3 hard, I mean really hard. Because I wanted to see if it was just me. It is a harder game, sure. But my learning curve time is quick, every game until now I have bested in the first week. Its been nearly a month, and I still hate it. TTK is egregious, the guns are egregious, the new abilities are egregious, and this game is egregious. I have never felt more taken advantage of from a developer, as this game was so highly hyped. Why? no idea. I was SO skeptical when AW came out, because of all the changes made. But it turns out AW is my favourite COD now, I have more hours in that game than all the others. Not combined, but definitely a lot. And that game is only a year old. After AW I was excited for a slower, more conventional cod. they messed it up. Its not slower, in that you can play it casually. If you want to do even decently, you have to lean forward and tough it out. Its unbalanced in the guns, if its a big map I'm screwed. if its a small map Im screwed. You need to make like 50 classes just to cope with the unbalanced guns. The guns that are good for long range, die at close. The guns that are good for close, die at range. Thats normal for the series, yeah. But its NOT normal how badly the gap counters your efforts. Usually when there is an OP gun in a COD its actually a sign of balancing. Believe it or not, it means that a select few guns are consistent. BO3 is nothing but inconsistent guns. I never noticed a SINGLE trend. No one using one gun, no one sticking to one gun. Its all over, and no one is consistent. The fact that my K/D is over 1 right now baffles me. I feel like this game punishes you with its lack of care, and the Vonderhaar and his buddies felt like this was just another one for the bank. Sure, its playable, sure, it's manageable. But its not enjoyable at all. Really, it isn't. I have never played a game for a month straight and said to myself, "Why are you still playing this trash?" Even ghosts I was having a blast. I feel like BO3 is just a poorly edited conglomeration of a million COD's worst qualities mashed into one. It's painful. I would rate this game a 2. Worst COD I have ever played.… Expand

    For a series that has prided itself on its 60 fps gunplay Black Ops III on PC is another shoddy port that suffers from lack of optimization. Stuttering is so frequent as to render the game unplayable. Highly recommend waiting to see if the issues are fixed. If you already have bought it you can get a refund through Steam.

    Another AAA game with severe technical issues?! Wow, just... wow. How this stuff continues to get released is baffling, and completely unacceptable. The game itself is decent if you can run it properly. It adds a few new, interesting things, but ultimately doesn't expand beyond what we expect from a typical COD game.

    I played all Call of duty series, and I liked it mostly for the campaign(except ghost). But BO3 campaign is the worst thing I have ever played 2 times worse than ghost. I don't recommend to buy it to anyone - lost money

    as always the campaign is amazing and gives you lots of fun but when you finish the game and go to the multiplayer the game is the same game it always was, a disappointment.
    i promised my self to not buy any COD game and still bought this one and after i finished the campaign i realized how bad was the decision to buy it.

Now they put Destiny and Advanced Warfare into a blender and added awesome sound effects and slapped this game together, the map lay outs are poor, the weapons are meh, the maps just feel no where near as friendly as bo2 did. And With my $130 logitech g910 keyboard i'd sure like to customize my g1,g2 etc. keys but no those arent on there, can't even customize your killstreak keys. don't waste your money on this game, I can't believe you treyarch.… Expand

    batman arkham knight (broken aswell) runs on a higher framerate on a windows 95 than this port runs on one of the computers from nasa. THIS IS NOW 150 CHARACTERS.

    Waste of money... This is the worst cod i have ever seen. Can't even get 35 fps on multiplayer, and i think treyarch just doesn't care about it. And the campaign is the worst in series too. (Yeah, the game is even worse than Ghosts)

    There is skill based matchmaking, that is very bad. Do not buy this game because there is skill based matchmade which means you will have to sweat alot.

    A bit better than the Ghosts, but worse than Advanced Warfare – new Call of Duty is awkwardly trying to make some changes in single player, but adding a bunch of technical problems in the same time. Multiplayer it is flawless as usual. [Issue#258]

    Treyarch gives us a Call of Duty game that is brimming with content and is sure to provide hundreds of hours of entertainment to its buyers. It’s just a shame that the focus on the quantity of content ended up causing a lack of polish in some areas.
