Nov 10, 2010This game is **** awesome. the campaign is action packed and intense, the specops mode is wicked sick, and the multiplayer mode is one of the best i've played. i cant wait for modern warfare 3.

Sgt.AwesomenessJan 24, 2010All I can say is the single player is great, multiplayer is even better and at the end of the day, this title will rise through the ashes as the series' top game.

fpsFanDudeDec 11, 2009Great game! Especially the Campaign. I was not too impressed with the online, and the fact that every 10 - 15 minutes it lags at high action places if you have a older video card. But over all, it is recommended by me!

JustinB.Nov 21, 2009Best FPS i have ever played. Great graphics and online play. I recommend this game to everyone. Also this is a wonderful LAN game.

EricL.Nov 2, 2009I only play for the single-player campaigns, and for that I'd say it was surprisingly short. At the end I found myself waiting for the next Chapter to load, and being rather shocked to realize that was actually it. The experience, while it lasted, however, was extremely good and worthwhile.

AlexK.Oct 31, 2009From it's heart pounding campaign to it's multiplayer, Modern Warfare delivers everything you'd expect from a shooter game. The introduction of modern weapons has revolutionized the action of the series.

[ANONYMOUS]Oct 25, 2009Let me start off by saying i am not a big fan of fps games that are very narrow. Call of Duty 4 is just that, its very narrow, it doesn't bring anything new to the fps genre and left me bored to tears.

Ultimated00mbringerJun 26, 2009Anybody who says anything negative about this game simply doesn't like FPS games, period. If they did, they wouldn't be whining like little girls about what they don't like. Most likely they didn't buy the game, they played it on someone else's machine and got their ass whooped and ran home crying.

NMDec 3, 2008Very hyped game, and it does not deserve it! The CoD series where great from CoD 1 (CoD UO) to CoD 2. Better gameplay back then, more fun, easier, and more balaced gameplay. It's too bad they only focus on the graphics now days, and dont give a damn about the gameplay feeling.

DerekTarnawaNov 23, 2008By far the best $50 I have ever spent on a game. The campaign is downright amazing, and the graphics are great too! But the multiplayer falls a little short for me. The game lends itself to way too many "n00b guns", Seriously. But, as long as you are semi good you will have lots of fun, even though it's not the newest call of duty.

PC Gamer UKA beautifully crafted first-person shooter, but without a compelling context. How much does that matter? To me, a little. Not a lot, but it nags. [Dec 2007, p.73]

Though the single-player lacks length, the multiplayer should keep you invested in COD4 for the long winter. This is a truly fantastic multiplayer offering that's as deep as any other online game available.

It’s absolutely relentless in its assault on the senses and never lets up until the last trigger has been squeezed. The multiplayer is even better, with the perks and weapon upgrades acting as a balance to the lack of vehicles.
