Even though Blackwood Crossing is very short and full of bugs, it narrates a wonderful story that touches your heart and soul. You cannot find another experience close to this one.

This game can be completed in a few hours and without any difficulties. Anyway, it's an intense adventure, full of passion and sadness.

PaperSeven, an independent English studio, debuts with Blackwood Crossing and presents a journey through an emotional and surreal family and brotherly history that will reach our hearts.

Blackwood Crossing is an emotionally interactive story but there are some striking visual and playable errors.

Blackwood Crossing was created with a lot of passion and love, both for storytelling and for creating a magical 3D world. It falls short on providing meaningful player participation, depriving a video game of a most vital aspect, gameplay.

A Gone Home wannabe, with some good ideas but too short and penalized by a tangled gameplay.

The microproject about family misery prefers the idea before gameplay. A good scenario forces you to think about life and death, but the perfect story-based adventure must offer more.

A forgettable game with a simplistic story and primitive puzzles. As soon as you leave the game, they quickly fade away like memories of a seemingly fun dream.

  1. I dearly hope this receives a huge patch. Perhaps fistfuls of bandages and a full body cast. This could be a three-hour wonder, a really truly beautiful work to be lauded. Gosh I wish I could have written the review its unmangled form deserves. As it is, it’s very hard to recommend spending £12 on – already a tough call for such a short game.

Graphically it's good enough, but mechanically doesn't feel good or responsive. The story is simple, too simple yet still unclear. If you are thinking of checking this out, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is similar but superior in every way. Full Review »
