I felt this iteration in the series was even worse than the previous one. The story isn't any better and the protagonist is even more annoying than the previous game. Travelling around can be confusing and there just wasn't anything memorable or interesting in the game to begin with.

Set as a prequel to the introductory last game in the series, 'Blackwell Unbound' takes place in the 1970s and it follows a completely different (in more ways than one) protagonist who is the aunt of the original heroine. In many ways it is a lot like Its predecessor, but I felt it lacked the heart and soul of 'The Blackwell Legacy' and occasionally it had a somewhat depressing toneSet as a prequel to the introductory last game in the series, 'Blackwell Unbound' takes place in the 1970s and it follows a completely different (in more ways than one) protagonist who is the aunt of the original heroine. In many ways it is a lot like Its predecessor, but I felt it lacked the heart and soul of 'The Blackwell Legacy' and occasionally it had a somewhat depressing tone overshadowing it. However character development was improved upon 'The Blackwell Legacy' and the chemistry between the two main characters was stronger. Expand

The score refers to the entire serie, single games score would be one point lower, but all together they gain value.

Classic point and click games with very little innovation. The pixel graphic is nice, the story is good and the setting is fascinating. Gameplay is very simple, a few puzzles are a bit obscure and you don't receive many hints about them. Starting from the second game

Gameplay is very simple, a few puzzles are a bit obscure and you don't receive many hints about them. Starting from the second game you can also use the second character, and while what you can do is limited, it's a nice addition.

The games last few hours (except maybe for the last one) after which there is no replayability. You'll be entertained by them but it only makes sense to play them in a row since the plot is connected. Suggested only to the fan of the genre, play the first one and decide if you want to know what happens next.
