    I'm guessing this game is great for people that either loved the original game or are into flashy Japanese games. The game is way too busy, noisy for me. I was really put off by the whole 'sexy fighter' aspect. For me it's just a really bad Devil May Cry alternative.

    I got this game thinking it would have a similar atmosphere to Bloodrayne (2003). It does not. Not at all.

    This is a mindless over-the-top melee fighting game, with no backstory. Well, I couldn't accept the opening "falling on a giant clock from in outer space" as a backstory. The narrator was talking about something reminiscent of the medieval witch-hunts, while the player was thrown    I got this game thinking it would have a similar atmosphere to Bloodrayne (2003). It does not. Not at all.

The narrator was talking about something reminiscent of the medieval witch-hunts, while the player was thrown into this fight with some kind of mutant birds which were supposed to be angels or something, spawning out of a larger twin-headed giant bird-like mega-angel, all the while while falling from outer space on a giant piece of clocktower. Yes, it made as little sense as it seems.

    This was shortly followed up by a graveyard scene where Bayonetta was praying to God so had that some angels actually came down, resurrected some big dude from the dead, and then that dude would throw her dozens pistols from a coffin while Bayonetta was fighting the same bird-like angels, while throwing cheesy one-liners. And showing her underwear as much as possible.

    While the Bloodrayne game was fun, Rayne had a pretty awesome personality, the humor was appropriately grim and blunt, but it was fitting a nazi/war theatre. Bayonetta is nothing similar at all.

    Can't give it less than a 5 'cause there's nothing particularly broken with the game, not that I found, and perhaps someone might like it, just not me.    … Expand

    Yeah it's a good port. But that's all it is, Better than Dark Souls 1. However if you can buy it bundled with Bayonetta 2 and if already played the first this gets a big old pass, unless the Resolution and frame rate are important and you have a PC that can output 4K

    It shouldn't be one of the highest rated PC games of 2017 but maybe it's falling into same boat StarCraft Remastered    Yeah it's a good port. But that's all it is, Better than Dark Souls 1. Where your just getting access to higher resolution and maybe some Keyboard controls. Just look at Tekken 7. People on exclusively PC think it's the greatest thing since butter. Gets a 7 from me, does nothing new maybe just 4k resolution if you have the hardware and monitor (which lets say I don't have a display port monitor). So it's not worth buying but cannot deny the price is really good. Also cannot deny that maybe it's more than just a simple port as much of game maybe had to be adjusted for PCs.

    To be as real as possible. It's a great game at a great price, as many can tell people will love this game. Showing how my Review is Unfair just because of the following reasoning, If your not interested in replaying the game and don't have access to a 4k monitor or card. You are not missing much, untill you do the game is well worth it.    … Expand

    It's carried by the gimmick of the main character, but she is a caricature and never properly fleshed out (pun intended). I cared more about the operator side-characters in Nier Automata and any random follower in Skyrim than Bayonetta. And why are the characters English? I'm starting to realize that everything that fetishiizes a nationality is generally bad.

    The story is a bunch a randomness slapped together, no meaning what so ever.

    Now I see why the sequel couldn't get a normal publisher and flopped.

    I should have known better, I regret buying this, and I wish I stopped playing after the first chapter on the plane where the game keeps killing you for... honestly I still don't even know why.

    I'll give it +1 star for making me google "Enochian" (supposed angel language), and +1 for the good game I imagined it to be at the very beginning (it had an interesting vibe like it was going somewhere), maybe another +1 for some mechanics I've never seen before (not being a console gamer), and +1 for some counter culture.

    If you love mindless comboing, then maybe this is for you. You never fight many enemies at a time, so it isn't even the good kind of action.

    Sadly it's so close to being a good game, but something is missing. Now I know what that something is: Yoko Taro! Who combined with these developers made the greatest game ever made, Nier: Automata.    … Expand

    Giving it a 10 ? 9? 8? hell no ! It deserves a 7/10. Combat is nice and fun at times, quick timed events are way to quick you never respond on time or sometimes you dont have a clue what to press and the buttons are annoying on quick time events, besides that the gameplay is nice and fun at times. The progression system is nice and unique, but the cutscenes and story are not that good, soGiving it a 10 ? 9? 8? hell no ! It deserves a 7/10. I still have doubts for this game because my friend adores this game (i guess sex had bought him) and i am willing to try it out. Overall this is a sex sell DMC clone it feels like DMC at times but its not and it could have been a lot better ! 7/10… Expand

    I have played Devil May Cry 4 and DmC:Devil May Cry and loved them. However, this game cannot impress me and I quited playing after 2 hours. Combat system is good but you cannot see your enemies' moves due to all visual effects and weird camera angles.

    This is a good slasher, but not for keypad and mouse. Even graphics quality advansing hasnt made this game the best pc slasher

    While i consider Bayonetta to be a fun game with solid mechanics, i think its story is too nonsensical for me to care, and that made me almost not care for the game after episode 13. It is a good effort, but nowhere near a masterpiece

    Story and writing is all over the place, feels quite random in fact, but the gameplay itself definitely aged well.

    Plot is confusing and the gameplay itself is too. Too much going on on the screen and you lose control over what's happening.

    У игры определенно есть свой стиль и виденье истории с геймплеем, однако это один из тех случаев, когда я заставлял себя играть в игру, чтобы понять почему она так нравится людям. Понять я смог примерно, но проходить игру из-за этого явно не стоило. Не мой персонаж, не моя стилистика, не мой геймплей. Игра чисто не для меня.
    Если вам нравятся слешеры и эффектные добивания пикантной дамы,    У игры определенно есть свой стиль и виденье истории с геймплеем, однако это один из тех случаев, когда я заставлял себя играть в игру, чтобы понять почему она так нравится людям.     Fast gameplay but for me is too challenging for normal difficulty. At least the first playthrough i want to explore what the game has to offer. I think on normal difficulty it focuses too much on the score.

    - Trilha sonora - Level design das missões - Dificuldade - Cutscenes mt bem produzidas Contras - Quicktime events exagerados!! - Boss battles com mais quicktimes do que sua própria habilidade em si. - Morrer por conta de um quicktime é totalmente idiota e faz com que você recomece a fase ou use um item escasso para te reviver. - No geral é um ótimo    Prós:

    - Level design das missões
    - Dificuldade
    - Cutscenes mt bem produzidas

Единственное что можно тут выделить из разряда "не очень": не самый блистательный сюжет, слегка кринжовый юмор и ниочемный дизайн противников; и то это все компенсируется возможностьюБроско, сексапильно и драйвово - вот три вещи которые заправляют всем движем в этой игре.     If you are looking for action this might just be the game for you. For me, I got use to the slow strategic combat of something like dark souls as opposed to the frantic combo-infused pace of something like this. But what definitely brings it down for me is the linear progression/story.

    Great characters, and a decent story, but the gameplay has some noticeable flaws, and some sections range from confusing to infuriating.

    P.S.: Bayonetta 2 is much better, and I'd recommend playing this to get a feel for that masterpiece of a game.

    Fantastic combat system. One of the very best in an action game. That being said the story is obnoxiously terrible, the non combat sections are taxing and the game gets fairly repetitive before the end. It's still a must play game for action game fans and will likely consume many hours from the right kind of person.     Even if all of the platform-specific flourishes weren't there, Bayonetta would remain a superb action title. The familiar story is buoyed by the absurd cut scenes, the action amplifies that ridiculousness, and the gameplay is still considered tight after the introduction of numerous fast action games in recent years. It's also a lengthy title by today's standards, and the constant grading of every fight will get perfectionists going. The PC version enhances everything and makes this the definitive version of the title, as long as you don't mind losing the Nintendo-themed costumes from the Wii U version. Unless you hate fast action games, you absolutely have to pick up Bayonetta.

    Despite the fact that the original was released seven years ago, Bayonetta is one of this year’s most important PC games. In its field it’s still unbeatable and the port leaves very little to be desired. [06/2017, p.48]

    At the end of the day the cocky, confident, wisecracking and unapologetically sexual protagonist and her amazingly rich style of combat still beats strong at the heart of Bayonetta and revisiting the game on PC is a reminder of how much fun the game was in 2009. Any fan of stylish action games will still appreciate Bayonetta, especially now that some of the original's technical issues have been addressed and resolved.
