    Deeply reprehensible in all ways. Obviously unfinished and padded with abysmal, mobile-tier minigames. The third time the worst space shooter in history is inflicted upon you, you will wonder why this game was not simply cancelled.

    Battletoads 2020 is just another low effort reboot from people that have nothing but disdain for the franchise they've been given stewardship of. I don't know why these idiot suits keep hiring trash studios like Dalala. This is the most disappointing thing since The Last Jedi. Also, they didn't even address the Dark Queens double mastectomy! Poor girl...

    This game is ABYSMAL. It's unfinished, padded with horrible mini-games and terrible combat, but all that doesn't matter in the face of the dialogue. The dialogue is SO bad it hurts. The "jokes" are so unbearably cringeworthy that I uninstalled the game and walked out of the room. It's that bad.

    Please don't spend any real money on this.

    Terrible design, ugly enemies, cheap arenas. This is all you need to know about design. Stupid plot for kids (who won't play this game). But the most annoying thing is that the gameplay turned out to be extremely boring and monotonous and terribly simple. The music was cool, but that doesn't change the fact that everything else in the game is terrible. Oh, and thank you for killing theTerrible design, ugly enemies, cheap arenas.     Excellent musical accompaniment, in the style of previous parts. But this is not the game we loved. Animation, colors, humor - **** **** up, it's a shame to look at it.

The OG battle toads were a testament to game design for their time and this is how they are represented in the future what an embarrassment.. The toads them selves are just immature, spurting fart humor and childish dialogue. Then there fan favorite characters like "The Dark Queen" Once aA terrible mix of game types with an eye cancer inducing cartoon art style mixed idiotic writing.. Then there fan favorite characters like "The Dark Queen" Once a Sexy Powerful bad ass Feme Fatal, a woman that not only was a genius but a general to her armies. Now she is an ugly bony idiot, just the blandest most irritating and uninspired female character you could imagine. She blabbers on like an immature child and has the wit of a bag of soap. The original Dark Queen had more personality with less than one 10th the dialogue. From what I have heard this was some sort of feminist decision , to make her completely unappealing to the male audience. Which they succeeded to do, but she is unappealing to everyone, the whole game is, no one playing the game. Men just ignore the product and the few woman that become aware are just offended by this ridicules representation of a once actually beloved and memorable female character.

    Mais um jogo porcaria padrão microsoft apenas pra encher o gamepass de jogo ruim. Triste ver que demorou 30 anos pra ter um novo jogo da franquia e veio essa porcaria.

    I have no words to describe this uttersh/te. When you thinks you have seen all the worst trash from games nowadays, the they released this unforgivable piece of... A nameless insult from the game I adored as a kid.

    TLDR - Toad-al not worth it

    I'm a fan of the originals, let's slay that bugbear first. That being said, the first level left me with a lot of hope, I couldn't help but laugh at the second level. However this game is just not that good between weak story points, the characterisation of the the Toads and the Dark Queen and repetitive, boring gameplay; this game just doesn't hold water.    TLDR - Toad-al not worth it

    I'm a fan of the originals, let's slay that bugbear first. That being said, the first level left me with a lot of hope, I couldn't help but laugh at the second level. However this game is just not that good between weak story points, the characterisation of the the Toads and the Dark Queen and repetitive, boring gameplay; this game just doesn't hold water.

    *Story and characters*
    It's pretty obvious to me that this was written with the original battletoads in mind but the level of care is all wrong, also for my personal nitpicks, the joke are very hit and miss for me, either funny or eye rolling bad, also I'm not a fan of the art style but these are personal and aren't affecting the overall score.

    *Gameplay*
    At first this isn't too bad after you play it for about an hour though, the gameplay is boring, each toad has about 12 moves total, even though you can freely swap between them, it doesn't help and if you do play co-op you have to share control of the toads. The Turbo cycle controls to me felt a bit off, I have a feel that the hit boxes were off, not that it made the stage much harder. Enemies seem to be designed to be as annoying as possible, not hard, just annoying enough to break your combo and ruin the ability to get the last collectable which involves beating every fight with at least a A rank. Also for what gameplay is offered is too little for each stage, so they drag like crazy.

    *Sound*
    Pretty solid, music is great and the voice acting is compently done, its the writing that drags it down. Another personal nitpick, I didn't like the voice they gave to Zitz (Not the VA just the direction)

    Finally lets address the elephant in the room, the change of the Dark Queen, many will say that people are tanking this game over the art style, etc. The Dark Queen to me, is definetly a downgrade but certainly wouldn't be a reason that I'd give this game a low score. It's something I could have moved past but the game just isn't good, also DMCing orginal fan's wasn't a smart move, basically they rub the Dark Queens new look in nay-sayers faces except it comes across as a dig against everyone who enjoyed the orginal.    … Expand

    В этой игре более менее нормальные только жабы и их разная боëвка, все остальное реально мусор. Старые игры были крутенским боевиком, а это посредственный мульт с дешёвым юмором.

    Исполнение и артдизайн - просто ужасны. Разработчик явно не то что в оригинальные игры на NES-SNES не играл, а вообще в игры в принципе, настолько всё вырвиглазно, плохо и криво.

    Даже если и в старых играх не было четкого стиля всегда была брутальность. Братья Стэмперы не стеснялись жести и нетолерантности - они хотели сделать максимально брутальные и интересные игры. И у них это получалось! Тут мы видим совершенно бредовый стиль а-ля смешарики. Графика напоминает рисунки из детских комиксов. Враги не примечательные. Единственный плюс - это режим вибрации геймпада,Даже если и в старых играх не было четкого стиля всегда была брутальность. Лягухи ужасны, королеве убрали сиськи и сделали из неё Дюймовочку какую-то. Самое забавное что был похожий босс на свина на ракете но от того можно было уворачиваться за счёт разнообразия прыжков был сильный прыжок и    -Вырви глазные цвета.

    - Очень долго бить врагов.
    -В оригинале было интересней появление врагов с различных мест тут этого нет.
    -Сцена боя стала меньше. При чём сцены были разнообразней в некоторых можно было слазить и там перемещаться
    -Очень долгие заставки(успеваешь остынь это всё же игра не мультик).... игра должна цеплять геимплем при чём быстрым в меру сложным и разнообразием например убиения врагов можно было взять оружие выпавшее с врагов которое бы увеличивало разнообразие убиение которые было реализовано в оригинале и других играх подобного типа, по итогу геимплей душный.
    -Не понятно порой что происходит на экране.
    -Нету брутальности присущей серии стала для 2-3 класса.
    -Игнорирование разработчиков на проблемы на которые им намикало игровое сообщество ещё до релиза даже если у вас 50% игроков считает что такая стилистика нормальная а остальные 50% это не нравится значит надо найти паритет(.
    -В техническом плане Battletoads & Double Dragon превосходит игру эту прилично.
    -Реиграбельность не какая как поношенный презерватив.
    -Отвратительный дизайн уровней (как говорится мультикам логика не нужна) точнее его построение каким надо было быть доумком чтобы пол игры сделать головоломками? Не, головоломки это хорошо, но это малая часть должна быть и вовремя разбавлять геимплей.
    -К сожалению похоже что команда разработчиков занималась разработкой игры для мобильных телефоном отсюда и вся кривость во всём банально можно было выпустить прессрелизную версию чтоб понять не которые вещи относительно их проекта. Анализ проекта перед разработкой игры был не глубокий из-за этого вышло не пойми что не пойми для кого....
    Но по сколько есть аудитория которая любое ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ съест эти их 50% окупятся но надо было работать на те 50% которым не нравится так как те 50% которые съели это ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ и не подавились так же бы и взахлёб причмокивая сожрали бы и нормальный проект.... Но тогда бы пришлось по больше по работать.
    +Я деньги за это ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ицо забирать обратно не стану в надежде что они в следующий раз нормальную игру сделают как говорится надежда умирает последней.

А что они сделали с Темной Королевой! Мало того что завернули в простыню и порезали фигуру, так еще это теперь уныло чмо об которое все ноги вытирают.Хрень кислотная, глазам больно.     Someone completely misunderstood what made Battletoads a great game:
    It was NOT the graphics. NOT the animations, and NOT the "spunky sense of humor"...
    It was THE GAMEPLAY - which this game has absolutely ZERO of. This plays HORRIBLY. There's no "feel" to the punches... just. so. lame. Subpar. Mediocre is an understatement. But - you will find plenty of overly-fancy animations which    Someone completely misunderstood what made Battletoads a great game:

    It was THE GAMEPLAY - which this game has absolutely ZERO of.

    But - you will find plenty of overly-fancy animations which make the hits take too much time, and some seriously shallow, kiddie-style sense of humor, that makes you roll your eyes.

    Really... way to take a franchise, and grind it into the ground.
    I'm just glad this is 2020, and for every mediocre, shiny "brand" game there are 5 amazing indie games which preserve the spirit of what makes playing games good: the GAME-PLAY! (seems so obvious.. it's the same two words.. oh, well)    … Expand

    Кроме музыки в этой игре, всё очень убого и печально. Такое складывается впечатление что её делал школьник, надышавшись изрядно клеем или еще чем нить. Что это за графика ??? Да Comix Zone на SEGA смотрится до сих пор приятней чем эта с позволения сказать игра. Ну графика, бог бы с ней где сюжет??? Что за непонятная бессвязная муть происходит в сюжетной линии? А так игру надо было назвать, ездовые жабы или прыгающие, кой мути в этой игре просто в излишестве. Во что они превратили тёмную королеву, которую все я думаю помнят с 8 и 16 битных платформ, тут она похожа на наркоманку бомжиху и смотрится очень убого. Там много еще каких минусов, то же переключение между клавой и геймпадом коректно как в других играх, а местами приходится это делать потому что, где то не реально пройти на клавиатуре, а где то наоборот. И косяков огромная масса, не тратте свои деньги, нервы и время на эту муть, это не та игра от слова совсем. И да я думаю те вандалы которые делали это посмешище, пойдут или уже пошли работать по своей истинной профессии, скотник, дворник, плотник.… Expand

    With a new face and tone, Battletoads manages to reinvent itself a little bit. It produces a beat 'em up that makes all kinds of forays into other genres with a sense of humor. Just like the jokes in the story, that is not always successful. The Battletoads shine as animated stars, but the lack of co-op, the very simple gameplay, and the sometimes very stretched areas do not make them look that great as video game heroes.

    Battletoads is a stunning return for both the toads and Rare, a team that hasn't had much output recently. While it can become a little tedious to play alone, this is an excellent game to try with a small group of friends on a Friday night. Humour, variety of gameplay, and local co-op make this a great addition to anyone's library.
