Oct 29, 2013I'm rating this solely on multiplayer as I never touch the single player component of battlefield games, the map design is better than ever, the visuals are the best ones out there, better netcode, what else is there to say, it is whatever we hoped for in Battlefield 3.

Oct 29, 2013The new installment of the battlefield franchise has improved upon its predecessor in many forms! It contains an immerse multiplayer experience that'll leave you to want more of the adrenaline rush! The campaign was a bit lackluster but, if you are looking for a game that delivers exponentially on multiplayer. This is the must have game for you!

Nov 12, 2013This game has the most intense, immersive graphical experience in a game Ive ever witnessed. By far its the best BF and FPS Ive ever played. Im sorry some are having issues but Ive played a week without any. Its unusual for me to back a game so highly but when that storm rolls in on "Paracel" I just sit there stunned. Ive never seen, or heard, anything like it before.

Oct 29, 2013Actually the game is good. This is a clear competitor to Call of Duty. But the 7 chapters campaign too little. I even went to a game with bots. But the multiplayer is just divine.

Oct 29, 2013Epic Multiplayer Matches on fantastic maps! Top class graphics and audio on Next-Gen and PC. It is definitely a must have game vor every gamer out there!

Oct 29, 2013Truly is a great sequel. Everything about it except for the campaign which felt linear, is flawless. The netcode is great and the battles in multiplayer are epic and really do take you a trip down memory lane in terms of BFBC2 destruction. It may be considered to be called BF 3.5 but trust me those are the people who haven't played it. Truly an amazing game, it really has its moments.

Oct 29, 2013Metacritic should have people reviewing user reviews to make sure they aren't like all of these reds. People give zeros because high specs are needed to play? People give zeros because campaign sucks? Who plays campaign? This is a online multiplayer game and always has been. This game deserves an 8.5 to 9, but I have to give a 10 to counter all the rejects that walk the planet.

Jun 27, 2014It would be a good game but, the most of the content is only for premiums... or for those that bought the DLCs. So the problem with this game is the publisher: EA ... :P

Apr 13, 2019Looking at BF4 in 2019 shows the complete picture of what could have been. All the DLC were at some point free and I didn´t pay a cent and I own all of them. There is just a ton of content and on modern Hardware (GTX980, 6700K, 16GB RAM) the game in my opionion looks good and runs at a nice framerate of above 120 Hz.

Dec 18, 2020Great multiplayer with slight improvement over BF3, but the maps are worse.
Campaign was meh. I would have liked if it had 3rd option in the ending - sacrificing Recker instead of Hannah or Irish. And AIs in campaign are absolute joke, they just shoot at walls.
I hope they will make sequel fort his game because clearly there is a cliffhanger in the ending. -
Feb 28, 2022I like the story and the graphics are amazing.
Playing BF 4 in the campaign is a funny experience, because it is immersive and you get the feeling to stand on the battleground yourself. -
Nov 4, 2013I find this game too similar to BF3. It feels more like a big DLC than a whole new game. However, the game is fun and as soon as launch glitches and crashes are taken care of it should be a solid game.
If you played BF3 and didn't like I'd strongly suggest skipping this one. If you didn't play it or you loved it, this is a good title to get. -
Nov 18, 2013This is a good game but it has a whole bunch of stuffs they need to fix. Personally, I like the multiplayer gameplay because it makes up for the terrible singleplayer and the graphics are improved, the gameplay is great, and also the scale of the maps are really huge. Its great but not excellent.

Pelit (Finland)Mar 11, 2014Battlefield 4 could just as well be called Battlefield 3.5. The new Battlefield features are only marginal improvements over Battlefield 3, but even as such it leaves the competitors way behind. Hopefully the bugs will be squashed soon. [Nov 2013]

Jan 13, 2014Even if multiplayer wasn't buggy, Battlefield 4 would still only be a barely passable installment in all respects besides the snazzy graphics. EA and DICE played it safe by providing the same thing they did the last time around, with another phoned-in campaign and only minor alterations to the online.

Jan 3, 2014Battlefield 4 keeps soldiering on in the same footsteps as previous games in the series. The lack of worthwhile news makes you wish for more. Dice stays in its comfort zone calls for explosions and not much more. The series needs to evolve or fade out.
