    While this game might not have the best story out there it still has a nice one that will be enough to keep you invested in the game. Considering the fact that Battlefield 4 was released in 2013, this game has really beautiful graphics. Definitely one of the best Battlefield games.

    9 years after the games release I would say that it is one of the best fps games made. Still riddled with bugs and small issues, but the gunplay, teamwork and the amount of content is fantastic. At launch it was one of the biggest **** to ever be released. Nowadays it's filled with new player but with its fair share of tryhards too. In comparison to 2042 it's a heaven's grace. Give it a9 years after the games release I would say that it is one of the best fps games made.     I like the story and the graphics are amazing.
    Playing BF 4 in the campaign is a funny experience, because it is immersive and you get the feeling to stand on the battleground yourself.

    Honestly one of the best fps shooters I have ever played. Unlike bf1, this game favors gun skill and not rng spread. The maps are great and offer less meat grindy gameplay. Only issue I have is the vehicle balancing on certain maps and the mediocre campaign.

    Great addition to the third part of BATTLEFIELD 3 with a lot of content from L.A. DICE (Ripple Effect), BEST FROM MODERN BATTLEFIELDS! everyone is waiting for the new part according to the templates ... but we get 2042-fps...

    Battlefield 4 is the ultimate online multiplayer FPS experience in my opinion, at least until Battlefield 2042 comes out. The online battles are oftentimes immensely intense, these taking place in large and well-designed maps for the most part. The weapons and gadgets are plentiful for each soldier class, allowing the player to use many different tactics during gameplay. The vehicles areBattlefield 4 is the ultimate online multiplayer FPS experience in my opinion, at least until Battlefield 2042 comes out. The online battles are oftentimes immensely intense, these taking place in large and well-designed maps for the most part. The weapons and gadgets are plentiful for each soldier class, allowing the player to use many different tactics during gameplay. The vehicles are really fun to use too, as they provide the player with a great amount of weaponry at disposal whether you want to engage in ground or aerial combat. Furthermore, the visuals are outstanding, even though this game is almost 8 years old at this point. The same praise goes to the realistic sound design as well.
    The singleplayer is mediocre, so if you're looking for a worthwhile story campaign, look elsewhere. However, Battlefield was never known for its singleplayer anyway.
    All in all, if you're looking for an unforgettable online FPS to delve in, then Battlefield 4 is one of the best choices you currently have.    … Expand

    This is my favorite Battlefield game so far. BF3 had some good maps which I miss now but overall the gameplay in BF4 is better. A lot of maps, good "time to kill" and I really loved the sadly removed commander mode.

Campaign/Single-player is okay, the AI can be somewhat lackluster at times and some set pieces feel very scripted but it is playable! Where BF4 really shines is the multiplayer, absolutely perfect, given the fact theyGreat game. But now it’s easy to say it goes down as one of the greatest Battlefield games ever made.     I have to agree with other reviews. Riddled with bugs, missing textures, audio issues (clipping & sound lags), server crashes, soldiers die instantly upon respawning, etc.

    - Battlefield moments galore. One happens every 2 mins and you have to just stop playing and stand there is awe.
    - For a 2013 game, the graphics still are really really good even in 2021

    It's honestly pretty impressive how well this game's multiplayer holds up. It pretty much feels like Battlefield 3 with more community driven content and more features overall. It's also the earliest Battlefield title to introduce high ping rate servers, which is great for competitive play. The player-base is also still very active, and there are tons of active near-full servers.

    I have some criticisms though. The biggest is that there's too much grinding involved in player progression. It takes an eternity to complete weapon level progression. I have played for over 50 hours and still haven't progressed a quarter way through any primary weapon. And in return the player receives a bunch of small weapon attachments and skins, which is great for fine-tuned customization but it's also a chore to organize / choose what's right for you. Matches also can take a very long time, sometimes lasting more than 30 minutes depending on the server's ticket rate.

    Even with some of these flaws, BF4 remains the quintessential modern military FPS. It had some troubles at launch and continues to have some annoyances like grinding, but has grown into a great game nonetheless.    … Expand

    Но игра какая-то нестабильная. Количество сбоев и лагов в игре достаточно.

    Great multiplayer with slight improvement over BF3, but the maps are worse.
    Campaign was meh. I would have liked if it had 3rd option in the ending - sacrificing Recker instead of Hannah or Irish. And AIs in campaign are absolute joke, they just shoot at walls.
    I hope they will make sequel fort his game because clearly there is a cliffhanger in the ending.

    I played the campaign and thought it was awesome. Its action packed, showcases most of the maps, and the graphics are amazing. The multiplayer is good from what I played a long time ago.

    Game is full of bugs. The interface is horrible. But the gameplay is fine. I like it still. EA/Dice are evil companies but this game is still fine. Although they have been working hard to make it crap. The game still plays well. I like playing it still. But other Battlefield oh... they totally ruined it. This is what remained of good.

    it was fun. there were some peoples left and i could play multiplayers fast to. the story was good too. and there were tanks, helicopter, boats and cars so it feeled awesome

    The game is just awesome that they changed from battlefield 3 this is balistikuyu of weapons and the plot, as there he was dull, the soundtrack is cool even the atmosphere is there, and the game just wants to pereprohodit, but minus little added and bugs but considering that it was a patch in Russian, and so everything is cool I advise everyone.

    Looking at BF4 in 2019 shows the complete picture of what could have been. All the DLC were at some point free and I didn´t pay a cent and I own all of them. There is just a ton of content and on modern Hardware (GTX980, 6700K, 16GB RAM) the game in my opionion looks good and runs at a nice framerate of above 120 Hz.

    DICE, you are the best that did not remove support for x32 systems and left DirectX 10.1. I love this battles, the graphics are not bad, the physics is at the level, the optimization has not failed, the multiplayer is dynamic.

    This is a great game, and when i say a great game, i mean that it is one of the best online shooters i've played. You have to buy it, i have more than 180 hours in this game, 110 of which are without the seasson pack. Please, do yourself a favour and buy it for the love of god.

    Actually same with Battlefield 3. But Battlefield 3's singleplayer mod were better. I'm 81 level and the game is awesome. I love it. I broke 1 point because Singleplayer is really bad.

    Years after the release it's still the best looking FPS game you can get. A big and loyal fun community with even up today a lot of servers and many players who play battlefield 4. The game is a musthave and worth every penny. I have purchased it lately in 2016 and already have about 400+ hours in BF4 and I'm still playing.

    BF4 has long since been fixed from it's horrible launch state. Given that this game is sometimes sold for $5 these days and the fact that its the best looking modern-era shooter you can buy, this is an absolute must own game.

    Battlefield 4 campaign is Siq!!
    The weapons are so bad ass, the story is ok and optimization is terrific.
    I have recently finished it and i did not encounter any bugs or optimization issues during the game!
    The pvp is better than the sp just like bf3 and i definitely recommend this game!

But now, after 3 years, I have played more BF4 than BF Bad Company 2, and that title was (is) a gem and I considered it the new standard for how BF games should work.     For the first I'd say: this game has never been overpriced, not then it's on release - not for now. This is the only multiplayer shooter capable of giving you a huge doze of childish joy every time you play it! 100% worth playing!

    Really fun game with an addictive multiplayer, while the campaign was a bit stale it completely made up with one of the most fluid multiplayer I have played. Though I may be a bit biased as i got the game after all the bugs and glitches were patched it still deserves the acclaim it got. The negativity were mostly about the bugs this game endured but now it's on the golden standard.

    Most of these reviews were from the launch of the game. Now that the game had time to settle, the game is much better than it was at launch, and it's worth getting with all the DLC, especially when the game frequently goes on sale on Origin. Even if you're uncertain, there is a week long trial on Origin that you can try out.

    This game started out broken and really not much fun at all. Skip forward 2½ years, and now the humongous and plentiful problems are mostly gone. You can even get a 60-tick (or more!) server if you can afford it. One of the problems with early BF4 was the 10-tick (updates 10 times a second) servers and how they updated: you could unload on someone and all the bullets would hit them at theThis game started out broken and really not much fun at all. Skip forward 2½ years, and now the humongous and plentiful problems are mostly gone. You can even get a 60-tick (or more!) server if you can afford it. One of the problems with early BF4 was the 10-tick (updates 10 times a second) servers and how they updated: you could unload on someone and all the bullets would hit them at the exact same time, when the server updated on the next tick.     Now, however, it runs very smoothly and the experience is overall very good. It is much better with a few Squadmates over Teamspeak, but if you find yourself a good squad, you can use the integrated VOIP and have a very fun teamwork experience.

    It's not revolutionary, it's the same battlefield as BF3, only somewhat tweaked, destruction refined, and with a LARGE number of maps and modes.

    Hardly worth full release price at the time, but it's a bargain now: you can easily put in 500 hours before becoming anywhere near bored, as it offers excellent variety.

Okay, campaign is awful, but Battlefield is all about multiplayer, which one is awesome. Bf4 has batter gun balance than Bf3. Some maps are great, I love Flood zone and Siege of Shanghai. For a good price you can get the full version (with all DLCs), Dice is still implementing new content like maps etc, I dont see any bugs anymore, all is working as it should. And its a lot of fun - much better then with BF3.     I got this game in 2014 , i was true what they say (bugs and more bugs),but with the time this game got fixed , and DICE added new maps and free DLCs .Now(December 2015) it costs around 5-10$ and the premium 30$ on G2A , IMO : NOW its a good game and its cheap , thx DICE and f*** you EA .

Which is why BF4 holds up to this date, and hundreds of people are still playing it after flocking from Hardline and even the newly released Battlefront game. Lots of modes, maps, teamplay, gun play, graphics, are all fantastic. It is worth a buy right now since it is quite cheap along with the premium pass. I personally do not experience any of the bugs people mention (using an i5 and radeon HD 7770), though i do experience the annoyingly long loading times. Also, the story doesn't get to me at all. I love how they took the deep progression and unlocks of an RPG, and the commander control and strategy of an RTS, and built this on top of one of the most massive scaled FPS's. There are some balance issues but Dice still patches game and delivers free content to make up for the **** launch state.     Still a fun game with active servers well after release. It had a buggy start but is now a lot better. It's gameplay feels even more smooth than battlefield 3, the maps look amazing and the gun play is quite fun. For normal mode the game irritates the heck out of me but I enjoy playing Hardcore which feels perfect to me.

Now you cant snipe guys with a controlled AR rifle. You now actually need a scope to engage at longer range.     The singleplayer is.. Not good.. No, not only "Not good" it's like.. Did you ever wondered how leukemia would taste like if it is a food? Yeah, sounds accurate.

    In 2013 it was a Battlefield 3.5 more or less, I have to admit that, it had bugs, like a lot of bugs, like wow, so many bugs.
    The netcode was just laughable, the only good things were the gunplay, the designs, the animations(although they could add some new levelution animations, because the current ones are getting annoying) and that's it.
    Most of those problems may be because of its early release, but now after almost 2 years later the game plays completely different.
    (I still hate the unlock system and the **** ship-trash, but atleast they offer you something for your money, 4 new maps, new weapons, new gamemodes and now after the release the whole thing is a lot of cheaper, and definetely worth it).

    They overworked the netcode, now it has a better netcode than any CS, which was always praised for its Netcode, 60Hz servers are now common(at least in CTE).
    A lot of patches overworked the bugs and missing gameplay features and unbalanced weapons.

    Everything has been overworked, even the loading times, which annoy some people as it seems.
    (Don't join a full server, or get rid off your bad Internet).

    The unlock system is still bad and I hate it, but it's a modern multiplayer game and sadly it's common to do that in such games.

    They are still developing a lot of new content, apologizing for its bad release.
    DICE LA is trying hard to get the best experience out of this game and the managed it, now (2015) it's awesome and one of the best multiplayer games and Battlefield's of all time.

    After a year of patchs it is now in a place as it should have been when the game was released. I would recommend this game now as it is in a good place but I am very bitter it took over a year to do. I would not advise anyone to buy games from EA until reviews come out for the game you're interested in.

    They have finally released the winter patch. It does improve alot of things but this is OVER A YEAR to fix these issues that they've since launch. I still would not buy Battlefield 4. Save your money or go buy a more solid shooter like Rising Storm or many of the other Fps's on the market.

BF4 was, at the start, completely unplayable, but is now 100% functioning, and now they've balanced out the weapons and vehicles, and this is all because of a hard-working team called DICE LA-they're in fact the most supportive/active developers I've ever seen. In fact, if I read a new forum post or watch a new Lvlcap video about balancing issues, a week later, DICE LA has fixed it in the newest update, which makes me think that they check absolutely every corner of BF4 hate on the internet. They really do their job well and are saving BF4 from being a buggy unbalanced disaster
    Sure, BF4 has had the worst launch of any BF game, but it sure is one of the best multiplayer FPS out there now (If not THE best). It's a game that improved on everything amazing BF3 did wrong, and sure put every CoD game ever made to shame.    … Expand

    Battlefield 4 could just as well be called Battlefield 3.5. The new Battlefield features are only marginal improvements over Battlefield 3, but even as such it leaves the competitors way behind. Hopefully the bugs will be squashed soon. [Nov 2013]

    Even if multiplayer wasn't buggy, Battlefield 4 would still only be a barely passable installment in all respects besides the snazzy graphics. EA and DICE played it safe by providing the same thing they did the last time around, with another phoned-in campaign and only minor alterations to the online.

    Battlefield 4 keeps soldiering on in the same footsteps as previous games in the series. The lack of worthwhile news makes you wish for more. Dice stays in its comfort zone calls for explosions and not much more. The series needs to evolve or fade out.
