    Pro's:
    Graphics are great. Sound is amazing. MP is fantastic. Balanced vehicles, weapons etc..

    Con's:
    Single player is respectable though forgettable, origin system makes me ask why? , no steam integration, would like an ingame browser.

    Love the game! Definetely a step up from BFBC2. A very realistic FPS experience. Stunning visuals, maxed out on my 6870 crossfire. Game has crisp and realistic sound effects. Play with no less then 5.1 speakers. Decend sount card is a must for this game. Sound effects will put you right in the battle atmosphere. Can't give this less than 10.

However to say this game is so bad it deserved a ZERO, you either have to hate first person shooters or be a complete CoD fanboy. This is why user ratings are becoming useless especially since those 0 scores only encouraging Battlefield fanboys to instantly put a 10 to "balance" the score out. //////////////// As for my score of 8, I took a point away because the singleplayer was weak and the online multiplayer despite a alpha, beta, and launches in the past with the same rubberband lag still had issues on day one. Another point was lost because the destruction actually feels a step back from Bad Company 2 and overall this game actually feels more like a sequel to that game instead of a a true sequel to Battlefield 2.… Expand

    Pretty good, I have gotten bored of it though. Purchase it if you'd like, but MW3 is a great game, as much as I thought I would never say it. Hope you enjoy both.

    Battlefield 3 is an absolute blast to play through. Possibly the best graphics in a game at the moment.     Battlefield 3 is an absolute blast to play through. Possibly the best graphics in a game at the moment. Single-player is FUN despite everyone's annoying trolling saying it sucks. Co-Op is ridiculously hard but fun (look, I used that word again) to play with friends. Multiplayer could be a little more balanced, and there are a few minor glitches, but nothing that can't be fixed in a small patch coming in a very short amount of time.

    Battlefield 3, in a plethora of amazing modern shooters, this one stands out, with a host of new and beneficial features that include; Suppressive fire, scope glint and improved vehicular combat along with the tried and tested class system of the battlefield series this is the one to buy.

    Battlefield 3 takes on a more tactical role compared to most modern day shooters in its multiplayer. the class based system improves teamwork, with the assault,support,engineer and Recon classes.
    The assault can drop medpacks and heal his teammates. The support, along with his bulky machine gun gives out ammo, and the engineer can repair friendly vehicles and take out enemies with his rocket launcher. The recon can set spawn points for his whole team and take on enemies from longer distances.
    This improves teamwork, even the most dumb witted player, from games that do not rely on team work can simply press a button and teamwork is done, but this is in no way dumbed down. The unlock system is extensive, with attachments for each gun ,and gadgets to unlock along the way, such as C4. the all-class weapons add versatility to any class. 3/3

    Co-Op; Battlefield 3 introduces Co-op mode, where 2 or more players can take on enemies in a predetermined setting. this is great for teamwork, and also unlocks guns for multiplayer, this is easily the most overlooked feature of the game, but is a great addition, and adds a new mode, only seen in Bad company 2 via Onslaught mode. Disappointingly though, the class system is not available in co-op.

    Campaign:
    The campaign is not a long one, but is chock full of amazing moments that make you gasp in awe, although short, this game is truly stunning through its visceral and Immersive campaign, you can feel the characters need, you can feel their desire. but alas, it ends too soon

    Graphics/audio/animations.
    i have, controversially, only given this mark out of one, why? because game play is the most important thing in a shooter, but, one cannot fault battlefield 3's graphics, although one can say it is very high contrast, the game is, stunning to say the least, with destruction making a comeback from Bad company .The buildings toppling all around you adds to the immersion, and the graphical quality of the buildings is amazing. the sound is battlefield, it sounds like real guns, and the whizzing bullets feel so real, you truly do not want to stand up with bullets over your head. the animations are good and sturdy, and the reloading has "weight to it"

    I made an account just to write this review. One of the best games i ever played. Multiplayer is just pure epicness, words can't even describe how amazing it is. Singleplayer is good. I can't say its bad because its not but its not the BEST THING EVER. The game itself is worth the cash and i am glad i bought it. As a former Battlefield 3 player, it was very welcoming to once again jump into large scale battles across beautiful terrain. The game looks fantastic, plays smoothly, and provides an exciting mix of action and tactical gameplay. DICE has done a fantastic job with this one and continues to show that they're willingExcellent game and very memorable iteration to the Battlefield series.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is great. The graphics are absolutely stunning. The game play is great! it feels like you are in an actual battle especially on dark maps when you can see the bullets flying past you. The sounds are immaculate, put on some good quality headphones and take off in a jet and you'll know what im talking about. The single player seemed to excel where Bad company 2 did poorly but did poorly where bad company 2 excelled if that makes any sense. In Bad company 2, you knew the characters from the cut scenes and knew exactly what was going on but the story line was shallow and cliche. Bf3's story line was deeper and had a twist but the characters were under developed and i felt no sadness when two of my "best friends" died or when i had to kill my commanding officer. One more thing, EA **** everyone over with this origin **** but this review is for Battlefield 3 and not EA. Overall i would defiantly recommend this game to anyone because of how immersive it is.… Expand

    Simply Jaw-dropping. The visuals (due to the new Frostbite 2.0 engine) are gorgeous, and the multi-player experience is second to none. DICE have outdone themselves once more.

    Excellent environments that are beautiful and include realistic sound effects. Fun to play! A clear winner over MW3. I normally prefer the single player mode in MW3, but this is the first time that MW3 fails me on that one as well... Multiplayer is, no questions asked, a BF3 domain. MW3 is just too much arcade feeling...

    Played the game on the Xbox and the PC, the PC game does outshine the console version, I commend DIce on a job well done, as an avid COD player, I can say, this game has made me decide that MW3 will be a pass for me this year, BF3 is a better experience for me.

It has been a long time since a game has kept me up until 4:30am on a weeknight, but being a zombie at work the next day was worth every torturous second because I was having an absolute blast playing online.     Why is my love always on battlefield? - it´s awesome: unbelievable game. The multiplayer is bigger and better than all the previous BF games. The shooting mechanics are top notch. Pick up BF 3!

    - Good Points: Very nice graphics, good gameplay, good hierarchy system, easy way to play multiplayer, more simulator then COD or CS, good number of maps from different kinds., nice system of battlelog... - Bad Points: Campaign is sooooooo buggy, have so much DLC to buy, where thing have to spend money, some servers you have to wait some minutes to join, I think was    In my opinion:

Keep in mind that it is not Call of Duty, so don't expect it to be like CoD. If anything, I'd say it's in between CounterStrike and Call of Duty.

    This is the best Battlefield game to date. From a technical standpoint, it is the best looking and sounding game ever made. As for gameplay, the single player is a little linear but the multiplayer will surely provide you with hundreds of hours of gameplay out of the box.     The singleplayer is not that great and it is comparable to COD in aspects of linearity and blockbuster type action and yet I'd say superior writing and atmosphere. CO-OP is a bit better with 6 missions that are pretty fun with a friend.

    What it shines with is multiplayer. You just don't find a shooter with team orientated framework built into its design anymore with the last one I remember being Team Fortress 2, although it's not that heavy. It's balanced and skillful with deep weapon progression and long term investments in unlocking new gear and ranks. Vehicles are an important force and staple on the field, but not instant death machines and they also require some work to use properly. You can be 4 different classes and all of them have helpful items for your team and you play in squads and feel part of a unit instead of people in a map killing each other.

    I love Battlefield and the unique experiences it offers in a sea of modern shooting games. You just won't find anything else like it unless you like simulators like ARMA.

    Best FPS 2011. If you want to play a real FPs with wnderful graphics and imersive Mutiplayer , Solo and Coop just buy this game on PC. It will kick Call of duty moern warfare 3 ass !

    There are so many mindless trolls giving the game a 0, it is just as bad as giving the game a perfect 10. This game has its flaws, most of which are with battlelog and the lack of BF2 features in my personal opinion. The game is still solid and deserves a good rating, but no game is perfect.

    Game is simply awesome, especially multiplayer. It works smoothly even on older PCs. Everything is balanced. Big change of paste since BF2. Series made big step to out sell CoD one day.

    Singleplayer is a decent experience. You play Sgt. Blackburn, whose name is satisfyingly on the fence between "Normal name" and "Awesome action name." The story is a somewhat garbled mess, as Alex Mason - er, Sgt. Blackburn - is debriefed by CIA-affiliate agents as to his knowledge about an impending nuclear terrorist attack. From what I piece together, the story is somewhat decently written, but the method of delivery is on a pendulum between perfect and god-awful storytelling. There are moments, such as the death of a certain character (no spoilers), where your brief experience with him/her causes a gut-wrenching scene that gives nice depth to the story, and there are other moments where you can't help but sit back and say "The hell?" As for singleplayer mechanics, Dice seems to be better at graphics and voice acting than level design and AI. Especially on harder difficulties, there are many, MANY instances of controller-smashing rage in the face of stupid difficulty - remember the PKM from Battlefield 2? Apparently, every machine gunner in the PLR uses it, and spites you by dropping normal weapons that have, you know, recoil. Your allied AI is impressive in certain scenes, but annoying in most firefights - in many places, they seem to have scripted cover locations that push you out of an already precarious position, and even then they suffer from Mook syndrome and can barely do anything. Granted, they are somewhat efficient at shooting the enemy, if you can trigger them to move up. Enemy AI is decent, using logical cover and shooting mechanics, but they too suffer from artificial stupidity and uncanny accuracy.

    Graphics are bar none - Frostbite 2 seems to specialize in being a lighting-heavy engine, with shading and flashes going off in a spectacular display. To be clear - at one point, I stopped shooting and just panned around the city, because it looked so damn good - I don't even have an HDTV! I can't *imagine* what the PC rigs are getting, if consoles have the *minimum* PC graphic level.

    MP is fun, though I haven't had much time with it. From the 3 games I have played, it's a great experience - the battle feels chaotic and like a warzone, not like a Quake arena match. Vehicles are adequately balanced, lending an "OH **** factor to infantry on the ground while not being too overpowered as to be unstoppable. Same goes for weapons, with DICE's particular brand of balancing - each weapon you unlock has its own flavor of advantages, aesthetics, and drawbacks. The balancing is no more apparent than in the attachments for weapons - each has a legitimate use, there are no "useless" attachments that no one will ever use.

    Complaint, though - WHY NO TEAM CHAT, DICE?!? Overall, fun, well polished game. SP is average, but MP is a fun experience that plays like a war.    … Expand

You need to have good hardware setup to run it flawlesly but if you do have it then this game delivers best graphics i've seen so far.Maps are huge and fun especially Metro.     Battlefield 3 has the right to challenge Modern Warfare3, the destruction, graphics, weapons, and audio are beautiful. The singleplayer is good but the multiplayer and co-op experience are the best, I just love playing with my friends on co-op or private matches. I have to give this 10 and so far this has to be the best game in over 5 years

This is where it deviates from BF2 really. Since there is no commander (big miss Dice) you lose much of the power of the squad tactics.     Excellent Game, they did just about everything right with BF3. The formula is in a really good place and there were some very smart decisions made. Amazing graphics and character animates as well. I can only imagine what could have been for the PC if they didn't have to refocus to get the console version out on time.

    This game is an outstanding successor to previous Battlefield games. Perfect combat mechanics, and the intensity of immersion within the battlefield environment is unreal in both singleplayer and multiplayer. The only downfall is Origin, while the game itself is a beauty of an FPS.

The game needs some TLC - managing squads is more cumbersome than it needs to be, the minimap is worse than BF2, the servers are still crashing a lot, there are no reserved slots, etc. But I am confident that with time, DICE will refine this into the best FPS to date.    … Expand

    A ton of fun! The multiplayer is really the strongpoint of the game, but the single player isnt as bad as people make it sound. The graphics are absolutely stunning, and gameplay is great. The only complaint I have is the once in a while disconnects from the EA servers

    Bought MW3 and what a pile of garbage. not buying it for my kids on console, friends told me to get BF3. best game ive ever played on. deserves its rating and im definately going to buy the kids it on consoles. Activision lost me as a customer for their MW2.5 !!! buy this game !!

    I'll be short and to a point: I though singleplayer sucked big time until i played MW3 SP, that piece of garbage was sooo boring and predictable it's not even funny (especially after spending $60 on it). On the other hand, multiplayer in BF3 is great, i love the open world, all equipment and vehicles that make the game quite enjoyable. I don't regret spending my $ on this one.

Explosions, weapon recoil, smoke and supression effects (to name a few factors) all have a definite impact on the player, all down to developer DICE's much-vaunted 'Frostbite 2' game engine (which definitely lives up to the hype!)
    BF3 won't be for everyone, though. The vehicle gameplay and the importance of teamwork may alienate some gamers more comfortable with straight-ahead, run n' gun twitch shooters.
    Most of the negative feedback I've witnessed has been on BF3 forums, and seems to centre around features missing from this Battlefield release that were present in older games: what most folk either don't realise or won't accept is that gaming has evolved from 2005. BF3 deserves to be judged on it's own merits, not on the 'sins' of it's proverbial fathers.
    If we can see and accept that gaming has evolved, and we look at this game objectively and fairly, then we have a new entity as the master race: Battlefield 3.    … Expand

    Obviously, since this is a battlefield game the emphasis should be put on the MP, and in that aspect the game is truly outstanding - continuing the excellent gameplay experience seen in BF 1942 and BF2.

    Reviewers are rating the game down for the singleplayer campaign (which I haven't tried yet), which I think is really unfair, considering if you ignored the singleplayer, the game is arguably the best online FPS game out there to date.

    Best game ever. Yes it has bugs but after the first 2 or 3 DICE patches it will be very very playable. This is a long term project for DICE and EA. We got tons of DLC coming. Giving it a 10 because this game's alpha code was better than the competition.

    Battlefield 3 is simply a fantastic game, even with it's flaws and issues it may have, it's still a pure joy to play. Its feels like the next logical step in the evolution and advancement of the Battlefield series as a whole. I know it get's criticized for not being more like Battlefield 2, but really, if you want to play BF2, then go play it. I did not want just an updated Battlefield 2,Battlefield 3 is simply a fantastic game, even with it's flaws and issues it may have, it's still a pure joy to play. I did not want just an updated Battlefield 2, I did not want Battlefield to follow in the footsteps of Call of Duty. I wanted Battlefield 3 to stand on it's own and be a mix of what has come before it. In my opinion, that's exactly what I got. The game has aspects of BF2 with advancements made in BC2. Though not perfect by any means, I think DICE did a great job advancing the series. Graphically, the game is simply beautiful. Coupled with the sound and the atmosphere of the maps, you can really get sucked right into the battles. You do not feel like you are just playing a game, disconnected from it like you do is many other titles, such as MW3. You feel like you are playing a Hollywood movie, like you are a part of the battle, a part of the action. I have played every Battlefield game, I have hundreds of hours invested in BF2, and countless more in all the other titles combined, so I do consider myself a "veteran" of the series. That being said, overall I am very happy with the game and I can not wait to get my hands on all the DLC slated for the game, starting with Back to Karkand! Great job EA/DICE.… Expand

    This game is way better than CoD in every aspect. It's so realistic and the destruction is amazing. Stunning graphics. Got a 6950 radeon card and it runs great. Must buy!

I was a COD gamer and bought MW3, what a trash game, so I went out and bought Battlefield 3 and boy I wish I always played Battlefield over COD. The game play is unreal and the maps and the work and detail gone into them is great. I'm now staying with battlefield as I have seen they care about their company, with putting upDon't hold this against me, but I like to tell the truth.     Very immersing military shooter. It’s not as real simulating as a simulator goes, but it’s surely more than realistic the most of the time. Real weapons, real vehicles, jets, choppers, MBT, boats, and bikes… all you would encounter on battlefield. I enjoyed 106 hours of this, and will enjoy a lot more. Premium is a must have if you enjoy the vanilla

    -jet physics and heli physics are a far cry from the brilliance of the desert combat mod physics, it's better than in awful games like bf:vietnam or bad company, but it's not on par. At least you have full control, it's just too arcady and momentum barely applies.
    Plane and heli physics are a big deal in battlefield that is why I mention them.
    -A few of the guns have virtually no recoil, meaning noone uses the guns that actually have a learning curve to them -metro is unplayable because of rpg, grenade and most of all grenade launcher spam and the endless ammo you have for them as long as you stand next to any ammo pack...
    -some broken mechanics like the supernova flashlight, infrared vision scope and silly mortars
    -only 4 classes
    -broken vehicle perks that stack
    -netcode is still **** compared to proper shooters like cs , quake and UT99, at least it's better than the abomination called bad company 2
    -the minimap sucks, they nailed it in the previous games I don't know why they made it so painful to read now
    -they forced the modern warfare style carrot on a stick of filling bars on players, why can't it just be like bf1942 where you get your guns and the sandbox nature of the game is fun enough to last you for 3 years without needing a carrot!! -no mod tools, shame on you dice you greedy ****
    -destruction is really lame, they talked it up and it turned out to be a dud. Just scripted where you shoot one of the hitboxes of an object till it runs out of hp after which part of it or all of it crumbles.
    I guess their netcode is to blame for this, with proper physics based destruction it would soil itself most likely.

    This looks like a huge list of negatives, but other than a few major ones (no mod tools, dissapointing physics and netcode, and only 4 classes / no commander) which bring the score down for me, the others can be (and most likely will be) fixed by a simple patch.

    There are hundreds of hours of gameplay and learning curve packed into this game, it looks , sounds, feels and plays well so it's worth getting.
    It's just a shame that they dumbed it down here and there and tried to market it to the retarded cod demographic, while the two games have nothing in common other than that there are guns in them.    … Expand

I tried Bad Company 2, but that was no way near what the original experience was. Battlefield 3 is a great game in all aspects. Great FPS, great simulation, realistic sounds that helps you feel like being the center of a major battle and allThis goes out to all the Battlefield 2 lovers out there... Buy this game.     It is one of the best if i could compare it is the same gratifying experience as in SC2. The maps are greatly done and detailed on the PC version 32 vs 32 it is f.. hell to play u need to have a great squad behind your back to survive and to kick some ass in the process. The classes are balanced right of the bat except for some minor OP of the engineer class but i think that will be fixed soon. The environment and immersion in the mp can only bee done by Dice. The sound of the guns and armor units planes flying above your heads are AMAZING. The frostbite 2 engine i will not mention because hey there is not so much to say except when it comes to rendering maps and all of that detail FROStBITE 2 is God in engine department :))

    The origin battle log system, at first i hated it but using it it kinda grow on me it is easy to navigate and it feels like a browser we all use in our daily lives. I can explain in detail so much because it would be a loong review u just have to see it for your self and decide    … Expand

I have barely touched the single player, since I prefer playing with a controller, and for some reason the quicktime events that happen at the start don't respond to the buttons, therefor having to reach over to keyboard or mouse to push the proper buttons, usually not quick enough and loosing the fight there. Think it's cheap that the one guy is just hanging out behind that one wall all the time killing people?? Just blow up the wall! The other great thing is that you get points for supporting your team, giving them health or supplies, etc... so you can upgrade your character without doing any killing if you so choose to.

    My system is about a year old if not more, but pretty hefty built. It handles the game well, sometimes some choppiness but nothing game killing.

    I haven't noticed very many horrible glitches personally, just the occasional killed body bouncing around, or camera inside a wall when showing who killed you. So really nothing that kills the game for me.    … Expand

    The voice system is great, the team play is fantastic and the MP refinements only make this game better.     Great game, it has an awesome multiplayer i am really enjoying it and battlelog isn't all that bad it's quite handy if you ask me. Single player isn't that good though but that's not the reason at all why i bought the game but single player still gives you a nice impression of the great physics and graphics of the game wich is cool.     Campaign was pretty boring and AI was crap, but the multiplayer is a great addition to BF2 and BFBC2! DICE, thanks for this great game. I used to be a CoD fanboy, but after Blops and MW3, i'm not so sure. I recommend this to anyone with a decent gaming rig, and an internet connection!

However, if you are willing to go through the trouble of installing, configuring, and playing BF3, it will be worth your time. Just be prepared to do a bit of googling to help if you get stuck. I am only going to write about the multiplayer experience, as I consider that to be the meat-and-potatoes of any BF game.

    The game itself is simply beautiful. I run it on high settings on medium-grade hardware at 1920x1080 at around 30-40fps. The gameplay should be familiar to anyone who has played a BF title before, with one noteworthy (and welcome, imho) exception: sprinting is now free, as in you can do it indefinitely. (It can be augmented with upgrades as well.)

    EA's Origin and Battlelog (the web front-end) are getting a lot of flak, but personally, I have grown to really like the web interface. Battlelog allows you to really drill down into your stats and gives really easy access to item descriptions all in one, convenient place. The friends/"platoon"/party system could use an overhaul, and the lack of in-game VOIP is simply ridiculous, but these aren't game-breakers imho. I really like the ability to see what a server is doing before I commit to joining as well.

    A few things I am waiting for DICE to address:
    -Mouse resolution is non-adjustable (the slider does nothing!) and is wonky depending on how fast you move your mouse around
    -The commo-rose is extremely slow to open
    -In-game VOIP--I mean, come on!
    -Error messages that actually help--there is one that frequently pops up asking me if my game is up to date, and I can't tell because:
    -Origin's "check for updates" and "repair install" features are broken

    One last thing I should mention: if you are just starting out in BF3 Multiplayer, you are going to get slaughtered. A lot. This should not discourage you; a few days of solid play time should net you enough ranks to get some good weapon and player upgrades. Just keep at it, and the game becomes more and more rewarding.

    Pros: Beautiful graphics, great sound, nice variety of weapons and maps, detailed stat-tracking
    Cons: No in-game VOIP, front-end bugs, minor game glitches (the mouse thing)

    The developers seem to be in contact with the community more that any other BF title to date, and the feedback system seems to be working thus far, so hopefully these wrinkles will get ironed out. By doing so, DICE stand only to make a great game even better. I'd recommend this game to my friends. Cheers~    … Expand

I'm a great fan of the saga and this BF3 is the most awesome multiplayer ever. The single player was excellent and the multiplayer is even better.     I'm new to the Battlefield series. To me this game would be a 10 if it supported as much players as the game MAG for PS3 or at least as much players on consoles as it does on PC.

    It needs more game modes with smaller maps.

    I'm liking it so far and will buy the "Going Back To Karkand" DLC.

    The game looks incredible no matter what the settings. Now please keep in mind i bought this game purely for multiplayer at which time i have clocked about 20 hours.
    The scale of combat is nothing short of amazing. I enjoy playing mainly the 64 player maps, both with and without vehicles.

    Almost all the maps are thoroughly enjoyable. And with multiple play styles per map with different progression with the rush format. The sound effects of everything in the game is amazingly vivid and when the bullets and rockets go whizzing by you when you huddled in a corner with your vision blurred due to surpression fire, i don't think there is another game quite like it.

    Can't say i have encountered many major bugs that ruined my experience. Occasionally there may be a piece of wall just floating in mid air because the rest of it got blown up. And there are the occasional play models who still look like their alive and standing up but they're actually dead.

    My biggest gripe is i purchased 2x HD6950's for this game and found that no matter what i do (format/different drivers/no software install etc) the game seems to be incompatible with this game and will only allow me to play anywhere between 2 hr -5 mins before it crashes my whole system (usually the 5 mins occurs) i have given these cards to a friend to try out and am currently using a GTX580 and have no issues running it on ultra settings @ 1080.

    What the game contains in multiplayer is solid and works great but as mentioned by a few other reviews , they have skipped some of the best features of the BF series (especially from bf2/2142) such as team commander and more specific orders for squad leaders. That would have to be my biggest disappointment with the actual gameplay.    … Expand

Vehicles are fun and relatively balanced with Jets being somewhat out of place at times. Weapons fairly recoil realistically and take more skill, feel like they have weight to them, and sound amazing unlike the point and click use of weapons in MW2 and COD BO where weapons sounded like toy guns. The negative: ORIGIN. I'm on the fence about battlelog. There could have been more variety in unlocks on weapons instead of unlocking the multitude of scopes for each weapon. Some matches can be very one sided which make playing not so fun at times, no one likes being steam rolled. No choice in the squads you join, no character customization, no commander like in Battlefield 2. The destructible environments are lacking and was not delivered to the degree of Bad Company 2.… Expand

All the vehicles are available to both teams with a limited amount of each. However if any are blown up a replacement is spawned after a set cool down time.

    First, the singleplayer. This was a great display of visuals, no matter your graphic settings for your PC. Storyline, wasn't quite what I'd consider great, maybe decent, tops. This was mostly due to you playing an on rail shooter. But the visuals, they are great, but    This is a post release review, so I shall not mention the many problems with the PC version or service right off the bat.
    First, the singleplayer. This was a great display of visuals, no matter your graphic settings for your PC. Storyline, wasn't quite what I'd consider great, maybe decent, tops. This was mostly due to you playing an on rail shooter. But the visuals, they are great, but singleplayer feels like it was only meant to show off the Frostbite 2 engine, which they did very well on, but the storyline obviously suffered due to the focus on that. Overall, it's pretty, but for the same looks, and much more interactive, go online. Second, the Co-Op. The Co-Op was fun, but very short-lived. With only 6 short missions, there wasn't much meat to it. If anything, I wanted to know more about these individual missions, and the complete storyline behind the characters, especially at the end mission. This left me wanting more, and I really do hope there is, because it was fun, though short. The only challenge is really on Hard mode, Normal should be the Easy mode, Hard switched with Normal, and then Hard the ungodly difficult mission mode. It was fun, though, to try and get through all of them without dying. The biggest challenge with that is the glitch[?] where an enemy will knife you like he has the commando perk from CoD. And without warning, either. Third, the multiplayer. This is what you should be buying this game for. If not, you're wasting your money. The multiplayer can feel cheap at times with enemy mortar or vehicles, or simply a bad team. But it's gorgeous to watch and be a part of. To see a complete different scene on every map, on every side, on every game mode, is amazing. They included conquest, conquest large [2 extra objectives, or at least 1 extra from conquest], rush [demolition, plant bombs, you move through the map], and then team deathmatch, along with one squad of four only versions of rush and team deathmatch.
    Overall, I gave this game an eight because of the co-op shortlived, bad singleplayer, and amazing multiplayer. Don't buy if you're playing alone, but online, it is quite something.    … Expand

    Definitely the best shooter I#ve played s ofar. Multiplayer can get pretty tactical, graphics are stunning (especially at night), weapon physics feel pretty natural, and even the single player story is well written and has a twist or two (coming from someone who is usually more into the Bioware-style RPGs must account for something :-)
    The only problem I see is the huge number of cheaters    Definitely the best shooter I#ve played s ofar.     Best FPS. Overall a very good game. Although the single player mode does not stand on the highest level this ulti is really amazing. A large number of weapons and vehicles cause large variations of the game, and all this complemented by a large map. Some may bother smaller maps in enclosed spaces, because this really is not there, but it will be DLC Close Quarters. I heartily recommend allBest FPS. Overall a very good game.     Graphics are really nice - you just need a little better PC than average to run it without any problems and with good FPS. The multiplayer is awesome. You just need to really jump into the battlefield, see and especially HEAR what is going on around you. Most of the people playing are not usually up-to-date that what is going on around them.     Singleplayer was good as well, tho the AI wasn't so good etc., but the graphics and sounds were awesome as well goes the storyline.

    There are still some bugs in the game (like the MASS and bad syncs in 3th and first person when shooting with silencers) and I hope those and everything else of those bugs will be fixed in the patches. So far it has been slow, but they've got stuff done anyhow....    … Expand

    Singleplayer was alright, but Battlefield never really had singleplayers other than BFBC and 2. The graphics are amazing, realistic destruction and simply awesome. The graphics like the sun glare, which is a neat add on. The multiplayer is the champion here, great maps, guns. This is sort of the game that requires teamwork to win.

    It's all a matter of taste, after all. They each provide a certain type of entertainment – when talking about Battlefield 3, it involves a bigger game, more open in its possibilities and more spectacular. But on a longer timeline, less frantic and with fewer Bruce Willis scenes than the mass appeal beast it set itself to dethrone.
