    Played this in beta and it was a mess, thought I'd try it out again after seeing so many people regard it as one of the best battlefields, it's still not worth your time.
    Dying simulator with the worst guns, customization and maps of any Battlefield I've played

    Worst FPS I've ever played and I played a lot of them. The campain is pathetic, it's railroaded without any room for the manouver, and the cutscenes and dialogue are cringe inducing.
    What's even worse, is the multiplayer. This pathetic excuse of a game allows for more cheating than CS. Your skills just don't count in this game, it favors cheaters and hackers. The UI is a hot mess. The    Worst FPS I've ever played and I played a lot of them. If fails as a fps shooter, it fails as a battlefield simulator, it fails in every aspect. This crap of a game isn't worth any money. There are many free shooters better in every aspect than this. Tactics and thinking in this game isnt giving players an edge.. you can take strategic position, see an enemy in an open field, totally flanked start firing with all the recoil compensation as possible and its better if you had run straight at enemy shooting smg from the hip 30-40 meters away, cuz it wont make a difference. Game is basically how much you horde and how much lead you shoot out + revive, its disappointing. From a game that had recoil and spread pattern for every individual weapon of its own you get to play a game where only sniper hits where it actually aims. If you want to do good forget about this game, if you however take it as like to fly around in pieces by overly packed enemies and explosives while enjoying graphics, well this is your game for doing good isnt rewarding, being experienced is even less rewarding. Games arent what they have been, at least FPS shooting is bad, its all hype, so im considering for a long time now to play singleplayer only, its getting on my nerves anyway. BF1 did good in one, to open my eyes and realize that pointing and shooting is different from aiming and shooting, the thing i wont sure forget lol    … Expand

    BFBC2 - отлично шаг далеко вперед инновационный геймплей, BF3 - хорошо, разрушаемости меньше, но шедевральные карты и много оружия, BF1 - хорошо, атмосфера, разрушаемости больше, хорошие карты. Всё остальное мусор.

    Good singleplayer but I was very sad it was nothing like Battlefield 1942, was Really a first of its kind. Mixing FPS and Full on battlefield scaled warfare. I mean anything from medic sniper assault etc to jeeps, tanks, artillery, to airplanes, helicopters, bomber, to aircraft carrier, submarines, battleships and the list goes on and on. It was epic battlefield experience and stupidGood singleplayer but I was very sad it was nothing like Battlefield 1942, was Really a first of its kind.     A beautiful looking game. Amazing from the artistic point of view. Gameplay 7/10 as for Battlefield. However, recently multiplayer completely destroyed by cheaters. Bravo DICE. You're not getting my money for BF 2042.

    You have no reason to play this game, sure at some point its ok to shoot a bit around but it feels like you dont have to. Its boring.
    No progress or reason to play more than a few rounds. The shooting feels akward, like the bullets behave strange, the hitboxes are strange wich results in a high ttk. (not a bad thing for me) Two shots in    I got this game for free, but still not worth it.

    Some walls just crumble appart and some can stand all tank shots.
    Speaking of tanks, Horses can take more shots than a tank and the rider is magicaly immune to bulleds while riding.
    It is now a bit older, but still it feels like the devs released it, and start working on the next title.
    Of every Battlefields ive played it, this was the most unbalanced, 1 of 3 games is a stomp match where the best player of the one side would be one of the worst of the other side.
    The Matchmaking is terrible. I think it puts the team together by name or just random, no balance in MMR or even Level. i once had a game where my whole team was between level 5 and 20 and the enemy team everyonem was above level 50. (wich has nothing to say but the game results showed me otherwise)
    And still glitches, bugs and espesially cheaters are a common sight, battlefield and cheaters are always comming together and EA refuse to do something against it, even support it by making it nearly impossible to report cheaters. This game is arround 5 years old and still players asking ingame how to report cheaters.
    its good the vehicles are not that overpowered (if they get focues).
    On the tech side, it still somehow manages to mess up my system. i have a good, new PC and still the FPS are not good, constand low FPS or FPS drops are also common by me and my friends and the loadings times are long combined with some crashes every few days.
    With the terrible Gun feeling they maybe wantet to show that Guns in WW1 had not the accuracy of a laser, but it stills feels bad.
    Sure the battlefield feeling is still there, but it is more frustrating than fun.
    I have now 20h of playtime and have the feeling i already saw and archived everthing.    … Expand

I'm not a fan when your sight jumps from side to side, as well as a weapon that blocks the entire view. For some it will be realistic, but when on the other end of the map a guy with a machine gunI didn't like this piece at all. I want to play the game, not to hone the recoil of the cannon and not hide from the machine guns in the impenetrable bushes, I want to have fun playing the game. For me personally, realism is not so important to me as emotions from gameplay, and such factors as 'Realistic weapons' or 'Game conventions' are not at all interesting to me. Also in this game, in order to open a weapon, you must grind. This is certainly not a minus, but not a plus either. So my conclusion is: if you want to relax, this game is not suitable for you.

    Single player campaign is pretty good. Interesting plot, entertaining missions and... these are all positive sides. Multiplayer which is supposed to be the main feature of the game is absolutely horrible. I've spent more than 20 hours in this game and each time I was dead much longer than alive. Shooting mechanic is also absolutely horrible, it's impossible to hit the enemy while he's moving because of bullet taking time to fly. This game also doesn't have any bots which I think can make the game more entertaining for players who don't want to become cybersportsmen.

    So, this game is complete waste of money and I deeply regret buying it. And I guess I'll never purchase any other part of the series again because the last good part for me was BF2.    … Expand

    This game is great game-play wise but the problem comes with the thing that it calls itself a WW1 game, which no matter how it looks it is not a ww1 game, it is a weird fiction from EA and don’t even get me started on the SJW propaganda with for ex. black people in the German army on the western front, I’ve always liked the game-play but the inaccuracy just ruins it for me.

    The campaign is not bad I guess, there's just too much of that good ol' AAA stealth to make me come back (and also **** the cutscenes). The multiplayer is    "WW1 game"

    I really liked the campaign and the graphics but recently i cant play the game because of 1 cheater in a game and, the only thing we can do is report the account, and that is not good enough. The sever is more or less dead until the cheater gets banned or leaves, so we cant play the game online other than maybe unofficial servers that have a active admin.     Awful, just awful. Boring most of the time, cool graphics but the controls are pure garbage. They give you 100 weapons but will only let you carry 2, most of the weapons are useless. The fact that this crap game decides to give entire chapters based on vehicles, is just awful. The planes chapter was by far the worst, boring all the way, shooting planes that will keep flying despite beingAwful, just awful. Boring most of the time, cool graphics but the controls are pure garbage. They give you 100 weapons but will only let you carry 2, most of the weapons are useless. The fact that this crap game decides to give entire chapters based on vehicles, is just awful. The planes chapter was by far the worst, boring all the way, shooting planes that will keep flying despite being in flames, and just overall too easy and boring, no challenge to be had. I hate those cutscenes, cheesy and boring characters with no charisma whatsoever, and that brit accent is driving me nuts. The controls are terrible, and poorly optimized for pc, and it's sad to know that because BF 1942 was the first game of the series and started on PC. This game is an insult to the classics, having no music in the menu, which is already awful and too complex. The UI is atrocious, very small words and icons, I can barely see them. Also the only way to see the objectives is by pausing the game... lol. Shame on you DICE for bringing this crap and insulting the old BF games legacy, sadly there are hardly any other WWI games, so we gotta play this **** if we wanna play something WWI related. The graphics are great and the sound effects are decent. But the controls ruin the experience. Also the cutscenes are way too frequent and annoying, I tought I was playing a game not watching a boring movie. I will go a head and give this crap an extra point just for trying to be a decent WWI game.
    The game is so unrealistic and anachronic, most of the weapons shown in the game didn't even existed in 1917 or 1918. Planes were not capable of such maneuvers, and the part where the soldier takes photos with a 100+ yrs old camera, and the pictures are perfect, not even moved xD. That was impossible to do with a camera that had no eye stabilizer. Same applies to tanks and other guns, there was only 1 portable machine gun, and the game has like 10 lol. Not only unrealistic and anachronic but also pretty poor representation of WWI, the characters act like they are in a circus or out in a nightclub, really pathetic, I hate their egos so much. The scenes looks like they are from a movie instead of trying to represent the WWI as best as possible (laughable). I was liking this game until the planes chapter... omg... it's so bad it's laughable, the flying mechanics are a disaster, makes the game nearly unplayable, add that the cheesy voice acting with characters that act like war is a joke, and you have a combo for poor quality, way to handicap players Dice, with **** controls. First of all, I don't like planes, so why the **** they force me to play an entire chapter flying a crap plane with awful aiming controls while the stupid character won't shut up, yeah that stupid that thinks he is a winner for being in a fake war... pathetic, I hope people wasn't like that back in the day, **** ww1 who cares about that war anyways.

    I would love to give an in-depth review of this game but the constant crashes even 1 month and a half after the game came out make it impossible to do it or to enjoy it. This is a known problem that nobody at the company seems to acknowledge. Added to this problem, the constant origin unknown errors put the final nail in the coffin of this unqualified game. I would like to enjoy this game but every time i open it, I end the game because it kicks me out. Instead of adding new content you could repair the "existing" one.     Оставляю свое мнение о игре, графика отличная, карты тоже, механика игры и оружие полная хуйня. Какими надо быть ебанутыми даунами, что бы испортить 2 механики с 3 и 4 серии и просто превратить все это непонятно во что.

    BEWARE if you live in a non-English speaking country you cannot change the game's language to English. It makes zero sense, I requested a refund.

    A glitchy mess! 2019 and still so many glitches that probably will never be fixed. I have been trying to play the game in 4k with HDR but that seems too much to ask from the game, the screen blinks black every 10 seconds, simply unplayble. If you turn HDR off then you have to deal with the game auto trying to turn hdr back on every time you start the game, glitching your system to noA glitchy mess! 2019 and still so many glitches that probably will never be fixed.     Cheaters in 9 of 10 games. Invis+autoaim+invulnerability = no ban. Game is pretty good, but unplayable cause of cheaters.

Некоторые карты - просто коридор и все, узкий, хотя вроде поле, но в центре коридор укрытий, а по краям поле простреливаемое абсолютно плоское, и там никто не бегает. I couldn't find an game but when i found one the teams were unbalanced and i was always put on defensive side when i wanted to try out attacking for once, but no im defending. One thing that was decent about this was the gameplay when rarely the teams were balanced and i actually found an game. I didn't enjoy my time "playing" this. Don't buy this evenThe game was bad.     The Quick match is totally broken, everytime i try to join a server by quick match it puts me on a empty server, the servers are horrible, i join a match, 5 minutes later a connection error, the server list do not shows all the servers. Do not buy this game.

    I like the original idea of making a WW1 game, but the execution is very poor. The game hardly has anything to do with WW1. Its still a fun game, but inferior to BF3 and BF4. Go play those games instead if you want to have fun for a longer period, the servers are still full in those games

    And don't forget the ugly lensflares covering your screen!
    Can't deactivate them.

    After many thoughts about this I've considered this game unplayable due the amount of bugs this game has. Don't get me wrong, the game itself is good, the content is amazing though the gameplay is faster than what i'm used to. It's over the top fast. The Great War is an interesting topic which in my opinion wasn't done very correctly on the multiplayer, the singleplayer is better in termAfter many thoughts about this I've considered this game unplayable due the amount of bugs this game has.     This game has been out for almost a year and already has so much DLC but the fact that I'm still experiencing regular glitches/server issues is just unacceptable. The lack of coop in the campaign is also very disappointing considering the let down of the BF4 campaign. Overall, the game feels fun but that never lasts longer than a round or two because of the ugly flaws.

You pop up from behind a hill and shoot and hit a transparent wall where your bullets ricochet off thin air, you lay down 2 feet behind the hill and the enemy some how manage to shoot you through the hill. They have tried to force players to use the Medic Kit by forcing you and your dead body to hang around or if you want to skip, you have to hold your space button for 5 seconds. So you wait and then the camera flies in and out giving you constant head aches zooming in and out of a map. Because of the problems with Battlefield 4 auto spawning in front of enemies, they now spawn you 15 miles away from the action. So you spend a few minutes getting to the action, get sniped instantly, forced to wait 5 seconds, zoom head ache, pick a spawn point, another zoom head ache, run 15 miles, dead, forced to wait, zoom head ache.. Repeat. The game is a chore to play and the worst battlefield ever.. steer clear..… Expand

    Constant issues regarding hit detection. Thoughtless spawning which leads to you getting killed the moment you join. Horribly unbalanced matches and weapons.

    I far exceeded the min specs when this game was released but it still did not work for my machines despite all attempts at a fix. By the time they patched the game to a working state, they released dlc that i'm expected to buy to not get kicked every time the map rotates.

    Many years ago i was hoping for a WW1 game with potential to be huge (Verdun is good, but to small).
    What did I get?
    BF4 with new skins.
    Just a bunch of automatic guns and grenade spamming...

    The price? Jesus f-fing Chicken! I could buy a moped for what they sold this for in the beginning, and its still now worth it.

    Pretty graphics but no soul, you know... similar to games that have sold out to the casual crowd like Fallout 4, Diablo 3 etc. Quantity over Quality will be the downfall of this series and the gaming industry including DICE. Yes dumbing down a game to get more people to purchase your game is a great business decision at first but in the long run it will be death to a series that one cherished and loved.

    For me Battlefield series died after Battlefield Hardline. BF1 is too damn casual, too many bugs, bad physics. New Battlepack system is horrible, u get too many duplicates. People played BF not because of skins, but because of the gameplay, and gameplay in BF 1 is boring, game is to casual, NO tactical gameplay, just run and gun, awesome!     One of the worst shooters i have ever played, no one on on your team will ever listen to you and will just blindly walk out and die, the balance of the game is just terrible in that SMGs and Shotguns > everything. It is just a Star Wars: Battlefront re-skinned to look like a Battlefield game and a pretty pathetic one at that, do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY THIS GAME

Dice outdid them selves with the WW1 setting, the models are detailed and distinct, there is a genuine pathos to the characters and their voices, the way the weapons and vehicles perform are all very polished, there are awesome game modes beyond conquest, and the single player campaign is awesome!

    So you might ask why only a 3 then? Well the multiplayer is infested with cheaters, damage boosts, aim bot, instant claim points, ESP, et al.     DLC owners can use overpowered DLC guns in vanilla servers? The gun selection and customization is horrible, each class has access to very few weapons, and most of them are terrible and feel like you're shooting a bb gun... the only way to get a assault rifle with the assault class is to pay $60 for DLCs LOL

    Good looking game, but they removed so much from it, so battlefield 3 and 4 are much beter. i recommend battlefield 4. weapons are not fun to use and there isnt many to use.

    Spent couple hours running around like a madman on a small and chaotic map. Barely seen any other players, just kept running between points. We won the game. Don't know who I was fighting with and who I was fighting against. But we won. Apparently you CAN win the war without killing people.

    Music - excellent, graphics - excellent. The game itself is ok but there are not enough servers with constant new DLC dividing the community even further so need to wait to play on a Sunday afternoon.

    I long time played Battlefield series games, since Bad Company 2. In BF1 I strummed about 200 hours, and my patience burst. A game was fine on start, but literal stagnation and deflation of money from users is now watched. In a game isn't present sense of weapon and technique (at the same time actively suggest them to expand DLC). In a game there are no well balanced maps, as in BF3 forI long time played Battlefield series games, since Bad Company 2. In BF1 I strummed about 200 hours, and my patience burst. In a game isn't present sense of weapon and technique (at the same time actively suggest them to expand DLC). In a game there are no well balanced maps, as in BF3 for example. Upon in a game 2 normal "classical" cards - the Sinai Desert and Saint-Canten. Yes the hell with them DLC, I took the Premium in BF3 and BF4, but here you in the standard version generally have nothing don't give as if you bought a demoversion. The balance is terrible too, beginning from the mechanics of firing, it is simpler than in COD to a netcode. There are no servers too, a ping big - >80. But all that is lost in Battlefield 1, the worst out of all the installments. Multiplayer is a grenade lobbing, landship riddled, sniper range wasteland that is a cruel dog-eat-dog world.     Not feeling it for Battlefield 1. Looks good but the gameplay is lacking. It tries to force emotions and fails miserably. And what's with the black dude? I'm not racist but it feels like Dice shoehorned them in to be PC. It's kind of insulting to black and white people. Black people didn't start WWI and a lot more white people died than black. Overall, its just not an entertaining game.

    Filled with Cheaters/Hackers since launch and numbers are cheaters keeps increasing.
    I've reported numerous amount of cheaters months along with other players and nothing is done.
    The game crash all the time after May patch. Right Now the game is in a very bad shape and it going to be even worst in the future.

    Huge fan of the Battlefield franchise and loved every one until this one. I hate it, I've tried to get back into it numerous times but it's just so poorly balanced and frustrating. Here's hoping they have better plans for the future.

    If you buy the basic edition, you're going to get screwed over by the premium pass. This game will cost you at minimum $80 if you want to fully enjoy it, and if you don't pay that, you're going to be stuck in matches with 7-10 people, because- Surprise, no one plays the basic maps when the new ones release.

    Pros
    -Very immersive -Good graphics -Runs smooth -Sound design is great -Campaign is pretty enjoyable Cons -Not many options in terms of guns/equipment in game -What little choices there are, only a few viable for a good score -Not a substantial amount of maps (but it's not too bad) -An insane game mechanic called "Behemoths" these are basically    Well where should I start...

    -An insane game mechanic called "Behemoths" these are basically crutches the game will give to the losing team, often stealing a victory away from a deserving team
    -A decent amount of historical mistakes in the campaign and campaigns

    Conclusion
    While this game can be very fun and immersive at times, you will get burnt out fairly quickly (especially if you're a long time Battlefield fan). There are times where you will just be pissed due to how the game will absolutely screw you for performing well, so if your team is well coordinated and do well, your opponents will be granted with a boon in the form of a map stomping death machine. The effect this can have on a map is immense, as usually there are tools that are on a map that help you deal with said threat. Some maps don't give you anything and you just get stomped because you simply did better than you opponent. Thus I can't give this game a good review, sadly, I must give it poor marks.

    The game is in the same state as it was in the beta. Another unfinished EA product for idiots. There is nothing else to be said really. So better hurry trow more money at EA be the biggest idiot of them all.

    this would be a great game if it didnt take 30 minutes to load a single game. Then they charge you 49.00 for a expansion pack that should have been part of the game in the first place.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I wanted to buy the game, but a little voice told me it was a waste of money. Then i heard from others that the game is great, awsome and so on. Then a little voice told me; perhaps it is a great game everybody seems to like it.

    Personally i think battlefield 1 is so great because of the marketing. But that is not important.
    A few weeks ago I was able to play the game for 10 hours. I downloaded the game and was finaly ready to see if BTF 1 is a good game or not. I started out with the single player, running a gtx 1070 and having a 144hz screen i soon found out that my 500 euro card would not get 144fps. Not even on the lowest settings did i get a good framerate. But well most people play on 60 hz, so they can play on high or above without problems with a gtx 1070. Still i feld cheated by dice, that they
    wouldn t let the 144hz people who like FPS games play a match on the lowest settings and not even hit 144 frames per second, unless they buy a ( GTX 1080)800 euro card.

    But still with you're 60 hz screen you're good to go. So i lowered my screen to 75 hz, and it was good. Well not the game but the frames per second. Oke after getting the settings right i could go on with that great single-player.
    I must have done something wrong because after 10 or 20 minutes i still waited for the single player to begin, yes i played some stupid soldier who was shooting at some other stupid soldier and then got shot, and then i played another stupid soldier who got shot. Really i think i am stupid, because i couldn t tell if i was playing the campaign or not, it was that boring. i fellt the need to play the multiplayer.
    I started up the multiplayer and spawned in to some desert. My first thought was; well this is a boring map, and guess what it was freakingly boring. i started out in a tank shooting some other player. I didn't think wow this is cool, no i thought WOW this is so boring oh my GOD, it is 10 times worse then BTF4 (btf4 was a 6 at most).

    Well it is not 10 times worse then BTF4, but thats what i was thinking when i was playing BF 1. So i played some more rounds, and really the game did nothing for me. It s the same as the other BF games, only now i am in wo 1. I was playing a game that was really old, and was cranked up with some new graphics. EA/Dice must be laughing, that people still buy there outdated boring BF games, and think that it is something new. Perhaps it was fun many many years ago, but for me not anymore. I am guessing that a lot of people bought the game because of the good advertising ea/dice knows how to bring, and they play it because ??? well i don't know.

    Really you don't have to buy the game. You're not missing out on anything. The only thing you're missing out on is spending money on a boring multiplayer game. i must admit, if nothing is happening for say 30 seconds i get bored and then i lose my concentration. But even that is not the reason i found bf 1 boring, it just is.    … Expand
