    One of the worst port I ever seen with GTA4. Why we need to wait for a patch? This is ridiculous. How Nvidia promotes this garbage? So sad I preordered this and can't refund it.

    You can't even disable the excessive motion blur because there is no real graphic options menu.
    It's capped at 30 fps and the only way to fix this is to change the INI file manually. For me it runs acceptable though but that doesn't change that it is still a mess. DO NOT BUY IT ...unless you know exactly    This console port is a mess and needs to be fixed. Until then, zero points.

    Game is capped at 30 fps, no ambient occlusion, you cant switch method of AA. Low res textures.
    No communication or appology from devs.

    This is intended not as a genuine review, but as a message to the developers. We, PC gamers, are sick and tired of your never ending console porting **** You, Rocksteady, have no excuse. You pushed the game's release back for about 4 months, and this is not your first game. Arkham City had the exact same issues. You didn't learn squat. And that is why we are all getting refunds.

    This is the poster-child for what's wrong with console ports. Game simply doesn't work on the PC and shouldn't have been sold in the state it was. Either a complete failure by Rocksteady and their QA department, evidence of a lack of QA completely or what is more likely, the dangers of devaluing a consumer segment so much that you'd outsource it's development and release it for fullThis is the poster-child for what's wrong with console ports. Game simply doesn't work on the PC and shouldn't have been sold in the state it was.     The worst port of any game i've ever played. the game looks good but if you try and change any of the graphics options the game dies if you try and play the game it drops to 3-13 fps and it has image and sound problems. Thank god for steams refunds.

    Do not even think about buying this unfinished port, I paid around 90$ for the premium edition can't even pass the game opening cutcene. Many people around the world are expressing alot of performance issues with this disaster unfinished PC port.

    wasn't suppose to be there ! and that's why people were unable to use them !!!

    I'd say WB along with rocksteady and nvidia should get sued and be an example for other companies so they don't even think about fooling video gamers in future.

    I can see how PC Master race playing this game with hugest pleasure now. 16k resolution with 120 fps available only for PC users! Consoles peasants can suck dick, only this version for real gamers! Awesome optimization, just like GTA IV for PC in 2008.

    Bought the game off steam and noticed right away this game was not optimized properly. Thank goodness for Steam refunds... and to top it WB suspended the sale of this game until they address the issue. Hopefully we send a message to the retards at WB that a game that runs like **** at launch is unacceptable. HOOORAHHH

    Terrible port, textures are as ugly as sin, forced motion blur for that nauseating effect and completely unable to run smoothly on dual 770s (even though SLI is working!). DO NOT BUY.

    Give a team of 12 people 8 weeks to port a pc version, this is the result...
    The game is great, but the pc version is horrible. Combined with the massive pre order deals releasing a beta version is ripping off every pc gamer. It's unacceptable.

    Game developers should show at least some respect to a consumer. How can one make a game that lags THAT MUCH with any setup - even on 640x480... Most epic fail I have seen so far.

    Yes its disappointment of the year so far for me. I have this game for free - bonus for buying GTX 970 and this is only good new in this review. I have i5-4490 GTX 970 8 GB RAM and on this configuration Witcher 3 is flying on Ultra and this sh.... is so slowwww, freezes 0,5 - 3 seconds are very often, fraps are decreasing even when I do nothing, its crashing every time i try to quitYes its disappointment of the year so far for me. Why do we need paper , wet hat , scattering droplets , smoke from the barrel of the machine , etc. Why not just make a game designed for a wide audience on the possibilities of iron ? I have no titanium , and many do not. I do not have 24 RAM , and many do not have . By the way , the same goes for the new Witcher fairly high settings , or"Unity" 2? I hope they fix that fast as possible.     This game is the worst game ever in my entire game life.
    I had to refund the PC version and get PS4 version because of it.
    Graphic performance of PS4 version is much better than PC.

    I had so many expectations for this game... I'm really sad to see the results of this long wait. The PC version is just... not finished. I guess that is what happens when you give a f**k about your clients, you don't even test your product.

    Specs upped at the last minute, while they don't affect me I can see no reason why this is necessary as you can't even select anything beyond 'Normal' textures in the graphics options.

    Poor AMD owners, again short changed with reported performance problems on release.

    Combat is simply a case of mashing the left mouse button while Batman flies around a 20-30m radius dishing out the weakest feeling punches 90% of the time with the occasional press of the space bar to dodge a charging enemy. Even with 7-8 enemies all carrying guns not one thought to fire at me. Next gen indeed!

    Batmobile sections are terrible, it's handling is awful and the stutters to game play are annoying.

    I am unable to change the mouse sensitivity in the menu at all, it's far too sensitive to my tastes right now.

    I really can't recommend this game right now, even getting it for free it's yet another sub standard release, what looks to be a direct port from consoles with nothing extra for the PC gamer, except the performance issues.

    Why why why are we missing ambient occlusion and rain textures that the console versions have?!

    Originally I said to wait for patching or a Steam sale where this might be a price more befitting of it's caliber but now, after seeing more of the truth come to light, like the fact this was farmed out to a company to port to PC who usually make crap mobile games & the DRM, I don't feel buying this game helps us as the end user in gaming one bit. boycotting rubbish like this is the best we can do to stop it happening again in the future.    … Expand

Over the years there has obviously been a number of controversial instances of certain games being absolutely slammed at launch by users. While I have certainly been disappointed by the state of certain games at launch, Batman: Arkham Knight has seemingly set a new precedence for poor quality control. WB Games and Rocksteady haven't just lowered the bar, they've essentially set it into free fall. As a result I finally felt the need to sign up to metacritic to put my opinion out as well.

    The alarm bells began ringing when on the night before release, the minimum system requirements were updated for AMD users. Fortunately beign an Nvidia user this did not affect me, though I was already questioning what would happen with AMD users that had preordered the game and had initially met the minimum requirements but did not meet these updated requirements. This was already a totally unacceptable step on the part of Rocksteady/Warner Bros.

    Despite the strong criticism the game was already receiving, I decided not to judge until I had played it myself. While my PC didn't quite meet all of the recommended requirements, I more than passed the minimum requirements and had been able to run both The Witcher 3 and GTA V at high settings with an average FPS over 30. As a result, hearing that the game was capped at 30FPS did not concern me greatly, but when I learned there was no proper method of removing this cap without editing the game files, I again was amazed at the lack of consideration that had gone into making this port.

    Due to the storage requirements for the game I left the Steam download running while at work, and on two occasions I came back to find that upon completion, the download had just restarted itself. I am not sure whether this particular point can be blamed on Rocksteady or Steam, but in 10 years of using Steam as a platform I have never encountered this issue before.

    Having finally managed to start the game I immediately adjusted my settings to match those recommended for computers only meeting the minimum requirements. I was a little surprised to find that on the lowest settings and with all gameworks options disabled, I was still only averaging just over 30FPS with notable stuttering issues and seemingly random drops in framerate. On a whim I changed all the settings to their highest and restarted the game only to find that my average FPS only dropped but 3 or 4, with all the previous issues still present.

    At this point the game is PROBABLY in a playable state, but not the kind of state a AAA game that has already been delayed by 8 months should be in. In all honesty these optimization issues make the game feel more like it is still in development and the experience is not wholly different to an Early-Access game on Steam. Graphically the game is less impressive than other games released in 2015, and even with its own optimization issues, the vastly bigger Witcher 3 still outperforms Arkham Knight by leagues.

    I cannot fathom how a product with such a large budget and reasonably long development time could be released in such a state on one of only three platforms. It has now been confirmed that Rocksteady outsourced the development of the PC version to Iron Galaxy, the same studio behind the similarly problematic launch of the PC version of Arkham Origins. While I can understand the need for outsourcing, I do not understand how such a poorly polished product could ever have passed QA and testing.

    There appears to be a worrying precedence now to release poorly optimized, borderline unfinished PC ports. While a delay in the PC release would have been irritating, I cannot fathom the fallout being anywhere near as bad as what has occurred at this point. I can understand the difficulty in making a game run well across the huge range of PC hardware out there, but to sell this as a finished product is truly unacceptable. It's about time developers began to take PC more seriously as a platform, or just stop developing multiplatform titles for PC altogether if the release version does not come close to matching the console counterparts.    … Expand

    Game keep crashing at the start and I have not been able to play it. At the start of when cop walks in to the dinner game crash with the following error.
    I have tried everything I can thing. Verified the game data is fine via steam. All my drivers are up to date. disabled steam overlay and cant think of anything else.

    What can i say? It is the WORST PORTING TO PC EVER! And some serious information was hidden! No one knew the porting was outsourced to crappy studio until launch. It is not just a huge failure, it is a dirty SCAM!! You know what? The minimum system requirements was modified just 1 HOUR BEFORE LAUNCH!

    There's no reason the game should have been released in this broken state. The fact that the game looks decent on consoles means that someone messed up the PC development process and pushed it out the door anyway.

    Mortal Kombat X have bad performace on PC (Its Unreal Engine 3 for jesus Christ!) and now u totaly copy this in new Batman. I dont know what to say... just shame on you. Game will be refunded, hope other PC players will do same.

    Graphics is really similar to Arkham City, but I prefer AC engine, cause it works better, more stable and have more graphics options.

    It's funny I thought the Arkham Origins will be worst.

    the first time in my life I put a negative to a game analysis, gives the impression that rocksteady not give importance to the public have returned pc steam game and want nothing more than any game WB, less danuvo and more make better optimizations so sure there would be less piracy

    Worst port, i've never played. I can run The Witcher 3 on ultra, at 60fps and it's unable to hold 30fps. Only "Normal" texture quality. The Game runs like a race of bricks. Good combat, as always, the Batmobile quests doesn't fit quite good. Good Game, bad PC port.

    The concept of the game is good but what really slows down the game is bad fps optimization,example:combat and driving the Batmobile are almost impossible because of the bad fps optimization,that really slows down the game,which could easily be one of the best games of 2015

    I would like to be able to give this game higher than a zero but I can't actually play it without constant stuttering. Not even with 2 video cards (7950's sure they're older but still decent) can I play the game at 1024x768....yeah not even a wide screen resolution.

    I'm holding out that Rocksteady can fix the game that Iron Giant ruined before I request a refund from Steam.

There is of course hope that they'll fix the game but in its launch version it's just unplayable for most people. I can say is enough to run without many problems, EXCEPT to play with batmobile...I wished to play since ever with batmobile man! The car there's no much details like on ps4 and drop frame many times.     Texture quality seems like the game is made 5 years ago, and overall visuals look worse than the PS4 version. Making things worse, even with low quality graphics, my titan x sli cannot hold 30fps while riding the batmobile. Totally broken port. Giving this game 1 instead of 0 because it seems like rocksteady will fix the problems.

    That broken port is a total Rocksteady mess whit PC games. When the batmobile appears, the fps drop to 10, or 1. Unplayable. Not even Assassin's Creed Unity had a port like this. Only playing in 720p the fps are more estable.

    I wanted to add my disappointed voice to the others. There is not much to say that hasn't already been said. At least this can't beat Witcher 3 for any awards for sure now! I am rooting for that game for GOTY. As a PC gamer this kind of stuff scares me. I really want to play the console type AAA games on my PC without having to worry about crap like this.

    It's a shame that I can't even play this game without a crash. I purchased this on steam for $59.99 CDN and opted to get a refund due to it being such a crappy port. Shame on WB.

    After this debacle I'll be waiting for it to be $9.99 because they don't deserve $60 after what they pulled. Fail, what a failure.

    Its broken. Everytime you drive the batmobile the frame rate drops to 30. Its one of the first games I bought after getting a titan x. Almost crapped myself out of excitement when the game finished downloading, played for one hour and immediately proceeded to ask steam for a refund.

    I played the game 97 minutes of ARKHAM KNIGHTon the PC AND.... What a let down.

    At first, it felt good and looked great until the BATMOBILE scenes.

    Without tweaks the benchmark had me average out at 30 FPS, but the fog and smoke made it lower at one point to 15 FPS. I am thinking they did something really bad and screwey with that dynamic smoke thing. On or off - it tanked my system and dropped the frame rate to such a level - especially with the Batmobile that i wanted to VOMIT. With tweaks it was averaging about 55 to 59 frames per second - except near smoke.

    After playing Arkham Knight I just wanted to vomit... the motion sickness and the drop in frame rates made me ill and I do not get motion sickness or such - but it was that bad... ugh....

By all accounts, my computer should be crushing the otherwise demanding game, but instead it is a mess of a slideshow. It is almost like watching a blurry comic book. This isn't even touching on what happens when I have to drive the car or get into fast gliding.

    I created an account solely to say how fed up I am with terrible, broken releases like this. After Watchdogs, I swore I would never preorder another big studio title again- I had faith in WB, their stuff was usually pretty good. But now they are on my **** list, never to return.

    What's up with the villain? It's like they just brought in some teenager who just finds Batman kinda lame, recorded his voice, and then made a character based off him. It's hard to take a bad guy seriously when he sounds like a 12 year old talking into the monster mash voice changing machine.

    Okay okay. You wanna know what else bugs me? Sure you do. Where is all the emotion and death? Where is the big climax? I've been through more emotional twists and turns while looking through my fridge than I have playing this game. I thought this was supposed to be some sorta big finale or something? Isn't that right? Did I miss the memo where the creators came out and said "Hey. Turns out this game is just sorta meh. Like, you can play it if you want... but not really."

    Maybe that's why it crashes so much. The creators purposefully rigged the game to crash so the players wouldn't have enough time to realize how awful the game really was. This game crashes more times than I do in the bat mobile. Every time I make a turn I end up falling into the grand canyon. Why is the grand canyon even in this game?     This game is a DISASTER. Occasional frame rate drops even when you put it on the lowest settings or even if you got the GTX 980ti with it. And did I forget to mention the game is LOCKED AT 30 FPS?! That's right, it is locked at 30 FPS although you can change the game files to reach 60 FPS. And also, glitches! Yay! **** this travesty.

    Second, the devs seem to be ecstatic on the idea of a bat-tank, to the point that they tried cramming it into every possible mission, and quite a few others as well. Enjoy parkour with a bat-tank! Or you would, as it handles like a drunk ice-skater. Seriously, the last time I experienced a car that slides around that much, I had a plane of ice underneath a couple inches of snow. These tank missions become boring, annoying and very repetitive quite fast, and overstay their welcome.

    The repetitive missions are the last big problems. It seems the devs answer to a fast mission is to force you to repeat it two or three times. The manbat mission is a perfect example: chase, capture, use injector. Even the animation is the same. Every. Single. Time.

    Porting issues aside, Batman: Arkham Knight is a decent enough game. It's not the spectacular swansong we hoped for from Rocksteady, but it's another solid - if predictable - slice of Arkham gameplay, with a couple of great sections along the way.
