    Dull plot with bad gaming mechanics with car. Abandoned after 3 hours. Big fun of other games. So what happened?

    What could of been a good game is turned into in absolute mess with forcing you to use the batmobile for such a large percentage of the game. Unfortunately this overuse of the batmobile turns a good game into a bad one. Arkham Knight really shines when on foot but in the batmobile it really suffers.

    As for the story:
    Gotham City is completely evacuated (yet again), so no innocent civilians and you battle unmanned drones. How convenient. Nice way to avoid any morality struggle with your hero. In GTA you try not to deliberately run over pedestrians, unless you're a psychopath. And there are consequences for doing it frequently (cops come after you). To exemplify how not very well thought out this story is: Gordon gets kidnapped twice! Seems kind of redundant.    … Expand

    This is the fourth and worst of the Batman Arkham series. The graphics are superb, voice acting very well done, and controls very responsive. However, the gameplay is bland and repetitive. The puzzles are vehicle races, with boring mechanics that are also repetitive. The few puzzles that are not races are dumbed down. This is a mindless racing and combat game, with a horrible story thrownThis is the fourth and worst of the Batman Arkham series.     I do not recommend this game as a Batman game, but if you want an easy and repetitive combat game that makes you feel good about yourself as an easy win, this game is for you. The only challenge is your patience to not download a mod to speed up your vehicle, so you can finish the game more quickly and see what you expected from the very beginning play out. The game telegraphs the ending from the very beginning.

    Perhaps the game should have just settled on being a car combat game, like Twisted Metal, instead of trying to force itself into the Arkham series, which failed completely.    … Expand

The whole city is evacuated and Batman has to deal with this menace. Additionally there is a new enemy the Arkham Knight who knows more about Batman then it seems. The story is good and immersive from start to finish. There is something that I cant spoil that makes it enjoyable and is a good twist or idea. Alone this makes the game better and I was most entertained. However the Arkham Knight was disappointing. When you have even a little knowledge you think about who he could be and make a conclusion that it could not be a certain character as it would be much too obvious, a letdown and boring. It was that character and they advertised the Arkham Knight as something special and mysterious. The addition that we all were hyped for was the Batmobile. While being firstly satisfying and awesome it gets soon boring and repetitive. After a while you want to skip using it. Then there is the true ending. You have too solve all Riddlers trophies to get it. It is a waste of time as there are over 200 and I as nearly all others don't have the patience to do this. Luckily there is YouTube for this. The gameplay is rock solid or stays at the formula of the Arkham games and the stealth and free flow combat system is satisfying. You get also new gadgets that are satisfying. Warning: Some can be missed or skipped. The graphics are ranging from good to truly awful in this game. While I am the person that defends poor graphics when the gameplay is good this time it is also a letdown. The soundtrack is O.K. Overall this game was a mess and should be avoided. You can get a far better experience on PS4 and XBOX ONE.… Expand

    A sequel that went the wrong way. I played all previous games and this one is tiring. I could not believe that but I felt tired of playing it. Too much of the same and new things that are not enjoyable. All Batman vibe has gone.

Pero olvidar que este juego se lanzó en pc con todo tipo de errores que lo hacían injugable con tarjetas gráficas de gama alta es de ineptos, yo lo compré con una key, no vale 20 euros ni de coña en pc, pero ni de coña. No lo recomiendo en PC por su precio actual y por los problemas que tuvo, que serán del pasado y todo eso pero cuando la mayoría de las ventas son el día de salida de un producto o fechas cercanas a esta, olvidar que estaba roto es de ser gente escéptica.… Expand

    Bought it on Steam Sale after looking a long time for something which i might like and well i have most of the good stuff already so it was not easy. Thought let's try this one. Fights itself are fun, the story seemed quite good, but after the first batmobile challenge i quite and i don't think i'll start it up again. Maybe i'm too stupid to finish the challenge.     I remember the Christmas that my son wanted a Furby, don’t judge he was 6 years old. In fact, I was against it, spouting the fathers prejudiced “it’s a girl’s toy!”. He saw the adverts and his face lit up begging us, I mean Santa, for a Furby.
    That Christmas I bowed to the wife’s pressure and we got one. He loved it and enjoyed playing with it, and now I know I was wrong. That was until a month later when the batteries where low. In a scene that reminded me of the invasion of the body snatchers, it opened its eyes and screeched until it slowly died. I was scared and it was only missing a hand to raise its finger and point. My 6-year-old son screamed in terror and threw it away.

    Batman: Arkham Knight reminds me of that moment.

    I heard all the reviews all the spouting about it being a bad port but still wanted to play it. I knew the fears but still thought that I might be able to fix any technical issues, I am fair well versed so was quietly confident.
    From the beginning, I had every issue under the sun, flickering, low frame rates, mouse problems, high memory issues, and even having to sit through the introduction screen every minute as I reloaded. I tried every fix the internet gave me but nothing worked fully.
    The background flickered enough to give a blind man a seizure.
    Batman looked like a porcupine on steroids.
    And even closing the game brought issues over into my os.

    But I managed to play a little and in those small moments when the game managed to hold it together long enough. Oh what joy, speaking as batman, descending into the city and rough play with the locals as we sang and danced together. Such delightful memories!
    Fantastic levels of intuitive gameplay, the batman fighting system is so great it hard to put into words as you remember the glories of its lineages. It’s not a bad port, however, it does suffer from extremely bad coding issues, with no sign of being fixed anytime soon.
    Even still gameplay got so bad I couldn’t see the NPCs and it felt like fighting in the dark… And I cried and screamed like a frightened 6-year-old boy… I threw it all in and uninstalled it in a stroppy temper.

    The moral of the story, Rocksteady Studios is the fathers prejudiced. Blindly trying to develop the most visually stunning game that is currently possible without though of any value. Sure the graphics are fantastic but at the cost of bad coding and ostracising lower end pcs. Forgetting for a moment about the serious coding issues, this puts the whole common ethos of modern developers and clearly marks it as WRONG. It’s called PC gaming not PC benchmark testing, and sometimes in over-exuberance, they forget this and create the monstrous “Arkham Knight” effect. A game designed to look great without any thought if gamers can actually play it.

    Sadly the only thing that remains is to take out the batteries and leave it to go dusty in the attic. Rocksteady is working to fix this and it must have been a huge issue to take this long. But only time will if this will a horror movie … imagine Furby 2: The Revenge. I shudder to think.    … Expand

    The game seems to be great and amazing... if it were not poorly ported to PC. It has technical issues that makes batmobile races unplayable, and found myself with a game breaking bug trying to follow Two faces missions. I could only see the bad ending, and without catching Two faces I can't see the true ending. I'm not going to waste another 60 hours playing a game that result I can't finish.

    How Warner Brothers handled this game is just disgusting. Even thoug there were some improvements it is still a very bad port for most people. Be careful when buying this one.

    I have a GTX 960 2GB, When i bought it a year ago i realy thought i could stick with it to keep playing games on medium settings for atleast 4 years. but i this game proved 1 thing is that is is already outdated. even on my resosultion 480x400 i have 5 fps in the batmobile WTF WTF WTF!!!

    Putting simply, the animation/effects are brilliant. The gameplay is really full, the story is completely unengaging, the characters are aweful. Add to that, I never got my copy to run steadily at even 30fps. I'll be buying another WB product the day they pay me back for selling me a broken one.

    Really love the arkham series and expect much in arkham knight, sadly it all comes down to disappointment! Very awful graphics and fps drops, been spending time on tweaking the performance but still it's awful. Looks very different with the console versions, really can't enjoy playing it with awful graphics since the game usually has awesome graphics.     Been a gamer for 20 years or so and this is by far the worst port I have ever seen. Game won't even let me play because every time I start this **** thing , game disables my graphic card driver completely (and this is the only game that does this ) .     I was really disappointed in this game compared to the previous arkham series

    It has optimization issues and bugs, poor story and a terrible ending.     Totally unplayable. stuttering after 5-15 minutes of gaming. Yeah, game is good, interesting plot, good graphics and sound, and bla-bla-bla. But what is the point of all these if game not working. Worst port ever, even worse than Watch Dogs.

    This game was so poorly ported, I urge everyone not to support lazy devs who are only after our hard earned money. This game is an embarrassment and Rocksteady Studios need to be named and shamed! Hopefully this will be the last ever Batman game ..total garbage!!!

    This game is so bad ported. After all this time and all the patches still totally unplayable. The FPS drops is unbelievable. Totally crap and would no recommend buying anything from WB anymore.

Get as far away from the pc port of this game as possible if u got a hard copy I recomend bbq the game rock steady shame on u leaveing this games pc port to 12 people u made me get a headache when I watched Angry joes stream on the game on pc when he went on an angry rant and u still have not fixed it over all this time gta online had these problems at lanch and it got fixed in like 1week rocksteady your worse then komami for doing this to my best friends favourite franchise… Expand

    This mess isn't worth many words. Overpriced, overhyped, dispensable. The reason behind all of this is simply the fact that this game is the WORST port I have ever played in over 10 years of gaming. After months of desperate patching, the game ended up with nothing but lies and dead promises.

    While a decent game may well lie at the heart of Arkham Knight, an unforgivably poor PC port means that its impossible to properly assess the game on its merits. Unless you are running a cutting edge rig, this game should be avoided, purely based on its absymal performance.

    Contrast Issues - Possibly the worst part of combat in AK is the total lack of contrast. Enemies, props, the environment, 2D effects, all blend in to the background because everything is the same color. The predominate colors are black, gray, red, and green. Only riddler objects are green. Everything else is some shade of gray-red. Very often I am hit simply because I did not see the enemy in time. Red Counter enemies can be hard to identify, because their prompt is red like everything else. This lack of contrast makes for a very frustrating experience.

    Red Unavoidable - There are certain enemies that have undefendable “red prompts” during combat. In Arkham City this was limited to a selection of enemies. I did not like the red prompts in Arkham City that much since it was a little difficult to remember how to counter them, at first. Eventually, I could remember. In AK there are too many red prompts, so I can not keep track of how to counter what.

    The Good - Dual Team Combat, new Big Guys (electrical is my favorite), playing as Nightwing and Catwoman. Oh wait, I played as those guys in Arkham City. Not much has improved on Batman’s combat.

    Preadator difficulty - The difficulty in predator missions has been massively nerfed. Instead of a scenario in which Batman must think how to achieve the goal, you simply attack the guards one by one in any order. You can use the numerous floor grates the Gotham City Council put in everywhere for no apparent reason. Or you can use the many perches, vents, tight rope wires, etc. Most predator maps have roughly the same number of safety zones like perches and vents, so there is not much variety.

    Alarm Collars - Every predator mission feels the same to me, the challenge barely changes. The neck collars worn by inmates in Arkham City no longer exist, there is nothing replacing or improving that mechanic. Players can kill enemies in any order without fear of getting caught often, since guards have idea who is dead until they walk near them. If guards walk near them it is very easy to attack them as well. Most of my predator missions ended with a solitary pile of guard bodies.

    Silent Takedowns - The radius for takedowning enemies has been increased, thereby decreasing the difficulty too much. There is little risk in performing a silent takedown.

    Fear Takedowns - Fear takedowns were enjoyable at first, because it looked cool and played in to the dominating aspect of Batman. However, as the game went on I realized they became a crutch for players.

    Environmental Takedowns - In Arkham City environmental takedowns stunned enemies, forcing the player to swoop in and kill or merely use it as a distraction. In AK they kill on contact.

    Driving - Driving the Batmobile in AK seems like the coolest feature ever. Hooray, the BATMOBILE!! Instead, it becomes an unnecessary device in Batman’s arsenal. The Batmobile can drive through anything, and I mean anything. Mailboxes, traffic lights, freeway supports, sides of buildings, churches, etc. Few objects in AK stop the player from driving the Batmobile. Batman AK is no GTA, Gran Turismo, or Mario Kart, I get that, it is not a driving game. But that’s exactly the problem. Driving is too easy in AK, there is no challenge to it. The car makes things too easy in some cases, such as killing riddler spies, and allowing the player to run down APCs. There are even a number potential predator missions that are finished completely by a few hits of the Batmobile’s Bathowitzer. Driving the Batmobile DOES NOT fit within the fantasy of Batman.

    Tank mode - Driving the Battank is by far, the worst experience in a Batman game. It is the most repetitive and least interesting part of Batman AK. All you do is slide away from enemy fire, then shoot. Slide, then shoot. Slide, then shoot. It gets repetitive fast, and lacks any depth. There are special weapons like the EMP blast or missile barrage, but they grow old quick since they require very little skill. After enough tanking those special weapons are only used because it means the tank battle will be over soon. Battank battles do not fit within the fantasy of Batman.

    The final boss battle in Batman Arkham Knight was just a repeat of the previous Cloudburst tank battle. Except this time it was easier. Woooo.

    That’s it, one boss battle and it is a copy and paste of a previous encounter. Very big letdown to have no bosses in a game like this. I think riddler has a boss battle, but I won’t be playing long enough to encounter it.

    Batman: AK could have been an epic conclusion to the Arkham series. Instead, the features they decided to add to the game detracted from the original game. Batman is someone who sneaks around and out-thinks his prey, getting into hand-to-hand combat when necessary (and kicking ass when he does). Batman does not do most of his work    … Expand

    This is not batman but a bugged crap! Worst PC game i've ever seen. The game is unplayable on my PC (R9 280X, 16 GB RAM, i5 4460). Im really disappointed. Buyers beware!

    Arkham City is better game in all aspects.     Activision, EA, Ubisoft are no doubt the top worst game companies, but I think it is safe to say that WB has now joined the list too.    … Expand

    WB continues to kick loyal fans in the balls by giving those who have stuck patiently and loyally to this broken, buggy (but just playable on top line hardware) release free copies of Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Origins.

    Y'know, the ones that anyone who is playing Arkham Knight already owns and has completed because it's a trilogy (plus a cash-in prequel)...     Rocksteady and WB don't care about PC users, they just wanted your money for a broken product, and realized that Steam refunds weren't letting them screw us over and keep our money so THEN they pulled it.

    I think Batman Arkham knight has to stand for the worst pc port ever. I thought mass effect 1 was bad in terms of PC optimization but this is a straight up joke. 30 fps cap on my friend's beast computer and my computer which is a r9 280x w/ fx8320 and it cannot run 30 fps. And plus not like the story and gameplay is any better... I would rather go with arkham asylum.

    The frame studdering makes this game unenjoyable even on top of the line nVidia cards with lowest settings. Another Assasin's Creed Unity like disaster.

    I would like to be able to give this game higher than a zero but I can't actually play it without constant stuttering. Not even with 2 video cards (7950's sure they're older but still decent) can I play the game at 1024x768....yeah not even a wide screen resolution.

    I'm holding out that Rocksteady can fix the game that Iron Giant ruined before I request a refund from Steam.

    This game is a DISASTER. Occasional frame rate drops even when you put it on the lowest settings or even if you got the GTX 980ti with it. And did I forget to mention the game is LOCKED AT 30 FPS?! That's right, it is locked at 30 FPS although you can change the game files to reach 60 FPS. And also, glitches! Yay! **** this travesty.

    What's up with the villain? It's like they just brought in some teenager who just finds Batman kinda lame, recorded his voice, and then made a character based off him. It's hard to take a bad guy seriously when he sounds like a 12 year old talking into the monster mash voice changing machine.

    Okay okay. You wanna know what else bugs me? Sure you do. Where is all the emotion and death? Where is the big climax? I've been through more emotional twists and turns while looking through my fridge than I have playing this game. I thought this was supposed to be some sorta big finale or something? Isn't that right? Did I miss the memo where the creators came out and said "Hey. Turns out this game is just sorta meh. Like, you can play it if you want... but not really."

    Maybe that's why it crashes so much. The creators purposefully rigged the game to crash so the players wouldn't have enough time to realize how awful the game really was. This game crashes more times than I do in the bat mobile. Every time I make a turn I end up falling into the grand canyon. Why is the grand canyon even in this game?     I own a $2000 PC and the game can't stay above 50fps after manually unlocking the cap. This is a botch job on Iron Galaxy Studio and all involved. The performance is abysmal.

Not only is it locked to 30 fps, it has also worse graphics than ps4 on a pc and runs like crap. This game is horrible and the studio should get punished for this. No one should every buy this!

    FPS capped to 30 for a PC port, absolutely unacceptable. Even though you can change it by going into the files yourself, what were they thinking. Very little option control, bad performance, stuttering, huge FPS drops, graphics don't look that good

    I'd give it a 2 if the boss fights in the tank weren't so infuriating, whoever passed this as game worthy should quit the business so we don't get any more games like this in future.

    Combine this mediocre game, with terrible technical issues that not only affect frame rate and graphics but also sound problems and stabiltiy / crashing issues and this is well and truly in the flop of the year category as far as the PC version is concerned. They may well fix the major issues once the game goes back on sale, but even then I 'd suggest you simply play Arkham Asylum or City instead.     I can see how PC Master race playing this game with hugest pleasure now. 16k resolution with 120 fps available only for PC users! Consoles peasants can suck dick, only this version for real gamers! Awesome optimization, just like GTA IV for PC in 2008.

    Worst port, i've never played. I can run The Witcher 3 on ultra, at 60fps and it's unable to hold 30fps. Only "Normal" texture quality. The Game runs like a race of bricks. Good combat, as always, the Batmobile quests doesn't fit quite good. Good Game, bad PC port.

    Stuttering por todos lados, caidas de 60 a 35-40fps constantemente, a veces con parones y pérdida de frames por el camino...
    El juego viene capado a 30fps, y prácticamente no hay opciones. Hay miles de problemas con texturas que no se cargan y se ven como un juego de Ps1...

    This game might be a good game, im not really sure since i wasn't able to play the game at a frame rate higher than 25 fps due to the terrible PC port. It kills me that the port is this bad, Arkham Asylum and City are two of my favorite games, and i was really excited to play this game. I will revise my review if the new PC patch is able to actually make the game playable.

    Batman Arkham Knight is such an awful game at launch. I experienced crashes, bugs, graphical problems and especially memory leaks, this game uses a very large amount of RAM.

    Highly unoptimized for an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 graphics card and an Intel Core i7 930 Bloomfield quad-core CPU.

    Game feels very rushed and plays like a Steam Early Access game, completely regret pre-ordering this game.

You can't adjust the speeds of camera look??? This is beyond lazy, this is plain stupidity. When gliding or the batmobile is on screen, the game stutters horribly or will freeze for 2-3 seconds often. That's what the worst thing about the game is, a slideshow instead of a fluid game.

    Just to mention, I am running on pretty decent hardware.

    Nothing runs this bad on my computer. The wreck that is/was Watch Dogs and Unity never ran this bad.

Furthermore in the unlikely event that the game works for a brief period, the 30fps cap is insulting, and the environments look jittery. This PC-port has some of the poorest optimisation in history and it's clear that the studio responsible for the port lacks any quality control process. I am baffled how this was allowed to be released. What utter garbage; I feel like I've been scammed.

    I wish I could comment on the worth of the actual game itself, but it is currently UNPLAYABLE in any shape or form. Thankfully the introduction of steam refunds seems to have been well timed. It has been pulled from steam a few hours ago and I am not surprised.    … Expand

    Absolutely disgusting pc port, combat and puzzles consisting of pressing one button and choppy acting. Only redeeming factor of the game is the atmosphere and the classic Batman story. If you fan of Batman might be a good buy once the performance problems are fixed.

Played the game, frame drops are constant, went out of my way to update drivers and to fix it, changed the frame limit to 60, worked fine, until after meeting Barbara, the game will crash near every objective I go now, so now I cannot progress or do anything now, awesome...… Expand

    I am so disappointed with RockSteady for outsourcing the PC version to incompetent Iron Galaxy Studios. And they didn’t even tell us about this before the release! I pre-ordered this game on the good name and reputation of RockSteady and they decided to take a dump on their PC fanbase. Right then - I am taking a dump on scoring this crappy PC port.

    Notice the good reviews, almost all 9s and 10s. All start with "No idea what people are talking about with performance, I have X (nvidia GPU, notice the lack of AMDs), and it runs at X FPS on the benchmark

What good things I can say about it are limited to what I've seen other people achieve on consoles or the few lucky gamers that could somehow manage to get this working on their computer systems.     If I could even manage to stabilize at 30FPS for more than a few seconds I would be thrilled, but my computer — a machine that nearly meets the Ultra system requirements posted by Rocksteady and Nvidia themselves — cannot even keep 20FPS with all settings turned down. Why? How? I have 8gigs of RAM, a 4gig VRAM GPU, a high quality SSD, a powerful multi-core CPU. By all accounts, my computer should be crushing the otherwise demanding game, but instead it is a mess of a slideshow. It is almost like watching a blurry comic book. This isn't even touching on what happens when I have to drive the car or get into fast gliding.

    The games from the past had troubles during launch, but this is hands down the most distressing, the most enthusiasm and fun crushing experiences I can recall on PC. I thankfully didn't lose any money on this, but that doesn't give me back the time and sanity lost to this game.    … Expand

    Positive scores for this game are HIGHLY suspect! The PC port of this game is simply broken - period - and is currently not for sale on Steam. REPEAT! It is NOT FOR SALE on Steam! Multiple online articles are discussing the motivations and intentions of those in charge of this debacle. Just google all of this for yourself.

    Thankfully I didn't pay for this game. It came with my graphics card. The game seems pretty cool, but the PC port blows. I guess I'm going back to the Witcher 3.
    The only PC port of a game I've seen that can be considered worse than this one is the PC port for Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth.

    10/10 would pay $60 again. Once again we are shown why we shouldn't pre-order , and how little some companies care about their PC audience. I hope this gets a fix. I can imagine rocksteady just giving up on the pc and never selling this game again.

    Sure some of the weapons can not directly hit the people on the street but the shock waves, explosions, and debris would.

    Is this how BATMAN handles criminals? Runs them down, shoots them, electrocutes them and shoots high caliber cannons, shells, and rockets at them? Is this the real Batman and how the Batmobile is... or is it the way the comics and movies would handle batman or just a video game thing?

    I played the game 97 minutes of ARKHAM KNIGHTon the PC AND.... What a let down.

    At first, it felt good and looked great until the BATMOBILE scenes.

    Without tweaks the benchmark had me average out at 30 FPS, but the fog and smoke made it lower at one point to 15 FPS. I am thinking they did something really bad and screwey with that dynamic smoke thing. On or off - it tanked my system and dropped the frame rate to such a level - especially with the Batmobile that i wanted to VOMIT. With tweaks it was averaging about 55 to 59 frames per second - except near smoke.

    After playing Arkham Knight I just wanted to vomit... the motion sickness and the drop in frame rates made me ill and I do not get motion sickness or such - but it was that bad... ugh....

    Not only did I get a refund, but I think they should pay me for my time wasted. I thought I would get the PS4 version but I don't want to endorse this horrible release.

I can say is enough to run without many problems, EXCEPT to play with batmobile...I wished to play since ever with batmobile man! The car there's no much details like on ps4 and drop frame many times.     Its broken. Everytime you drive the batmobile the frame rate drops to 30. Its one of the first games I bought after getting a titan x. Almost crapped myself out of excitement when the game finished downloading, played for one hour and immediately proceeded to ask steam for a refund.

Non si riesce neanche a tenere i 30! Il menù delle opzioni grafiche è orrendo e non permette di selezionare i vari tipi di antialiasing o occlusione ambientale.     Gotta love that single digit framerate on a GTX 970. Don't get me wrong. This is a good game on consoles. But the PC version is literally unplayable on launch. Don't buy this game on PC right now until it is patched. If you have one, pick this game up on consoles. it is a great game on consoles. And the only game I would say is better on consoles.

    Porting issues aside, Batman: Arkham Knight is a decent enough game. It's not the spectacular swansong we hoped for from Rocksteady, but it's another solid - if predictable - slice of Arkham gameplay, with a couple of great sections along the way.
