    Barotrauma falls short of expectations, despite its potential for enjoyment with friends or random players. While it attempts to create a horrifying atmosphere and chaotic missions, the overall experience leaves much to be desired. Instead of delivering intense encounters with aliens that tower over your imagination, it fails to evoke the intended fear.

This issue significantly detracts from the overall experience and hampers the game's potential for fun.

    Although Barotrauma has its merits, such as its potential for cooperative play, the lackluster execution prevents it from reaching its full potential.     If you want to live out a larger than life sea story, Barotrauma is your game. Here, you’ll have your arrogant captains, jaded engineers, malpracticing doctors, epic adventures and a myriad dumb ways to die horribly. [Issue#262, p.66]

    Folks, Barotrauma is a very detailed game. It's suspense filled, has sudden horrific events that need to be resolved, lots of combat against Europa's monster population and a whole lot more. After adding in the sub design feature, the fan mods and the very detailed game world with slick game play how could you not give this title a two thumbs up. I would highly recommend this title, especially to those that enjoy playing online cooperative games with other human beings.
