It will either be a hit or miss. For me, the new setting is refreshing. The game is MASSIVE witharound 50 main missions and more than a hundred hundred side quests to complete. The side quests werent repetitive. The open world is incredibly well detailed. The combat was decent if not great like that of sekiro. The stealth gameplay has been improved as well. Adding RPG elements to the series was a good move, but adding the level limits to area, essentially forcing you into linear progressions and/or lots of grind does not sit well with me. The story is quite interesting, one of the best in the franchise, although not the most original.
Inclusion of the discovery mode definitely propels this into good games territory. (this is free on uplay as

XD. you can control a bird, swim, solve riddles that are actually fun, fight gladiators, discover mysteries, race chariots. how is this not a genuine AC game? i hope ubisoft only makes AC games like this one from now on. Both the open world and the combat system have seen massive improvements over previous titles. The story keeps you interested most of the time. I'm personally stoked for Odyssey, but that's mainly because I take a deep interest in ancient Greece.

From this work, I can see that Ubisoft wants to add new things to the gameplay and push the game to a new level. This game is overall good at the beginning, but players will feel repetitive sooner or later. The second DLC is extremely good, especially the map designs and graphics.

Well, to start since being a child I was a massive fan of ancient Egypt and dreamt of a game you can be around that time (this game is more Greco-Roman era Egypt but close enough) so walking around the structures and sitting on top the pyramids of Giza was worth the price alone for me.

Ubisoft get a lot of criticism and a lot deserved. Where you can't fault them is the attention to details in regard to historical worlds they set their games in and this one is no exception, arguably their best.

The story was interesting enough to see me complete it, isn't going to win any awards for the story but it's what I would just describe as "good" nothing overly special but nothing bad either. the side quests/activities ranged from pretty good to flat out boring sometimes, the boring ones being the very standard fetch quest of "get me something" there's nothing inherently wrong with fetch quests as the witcher 3 proved with the right narrative behind them they can be good. But here, for the most part, it's not as inventive. I'd say for every 10 side quests you do.. probably 3 at tops 4 will be good while the others are very bland and forgettable but again "good enough" to make you keep doing them.

The running theme for the story and side content as you may have noticed is "good enough" nothing in the game related to story or quests is overly special but nothing where you think "this is too boring" or "I don't want to play anymore" for me where it shines most is the world you get to explore and the combat.. some people don't like the combat but I loved it! I really enjoyed looting for new weapons to try out and the combat felt very satisfying and badass! and a cool feature is if you love a particular weapon you can take it to a blacksmith to upgrade it's level to your level so you never have to leave it behind though it comes at a costly price in terms of the price it actually costs to upgrade I kept my poison sickle throughout the whole game though so not much of a problem.

Why I gave this game an 8 and not a 9 (i very rarely ever give 10's unless it's an actual benchmark masterpiece) is because of 2 reasons.. 1, I feel the story and side quests weren't amazing.. they were good some even really good but nothing Witcher 3 kind of level. and 2 I felt the performance on PC wasn't amazing, nothing unplayable but I have a high-end PC and was still experiencing judders and frame drops and EVEN a bit of screen tearing at times on its full settings. but again nothing unplayable just has to be mentioned and it wasn't constant. But it certainly affected my experience and therefore the score.

DLC was really good especially Curse of the pharaohs which was actually one of my favourite parts of the entire game (picked it up on sale on steam with the DLC I recommend doing so if you can)

overall if you love the idea of an assassins creed game (the modern RPG style ones) in an ancient Egypt/Roman setting then you will really like this game and it's not even a question to buy it. If you are on the fence where you like the setting and idea of the game but aren't a massive AC fan then wait for it to be on sale as I got it for 8 pounds (about 10 dollars) and I think at that it's worth the risk to even sceptical people to try out. for me 8/10 I recommend highly.

An incredible map, good and involving history, gameplay almost perfect. I don't remember to face any bug in the game. I just loved the inclusion of the eagle on the game. I enjoy this kind of inovation in Assassin's Creed, cause, It makes each version to be unique. The system of customization and upgrade is also good, but with the past of time, it becomes wearisome.

I loved the setting, I am a huge fan of Egyptian history, and location wise was amazing.

The story was magnificent and the voice actor who did Bayek is by far one of the best voice actors I've heard in a long time. I can feel every time when he was passionated about his son and his desire to make a change and this speaks a lot through the writing of the story. I don't wanna spoil the game as it is worth playing 100%. It does feel like you're something else than an Assassin until the very end when you form the Brotherhood and you play the Hidden Ones DLC.

The Hidden Ones despite being a very short DLC, it felt like a pure blessing and a return to the true origin of the game, I finally felt I am part of a creed and I am working to build it. I honestly enjoyed it.

On the other hand, The Curse of the Pharaoh was interesting and beautiful settings, but it really disconnected me from the real world that was presented in the game and I honestly made me not enjoy it so much. It's not that it isn't good, but I feel the game becomes a little too SCFI for my own taste when it comes to Assassin's Creed. It makes sense for me the alien race to contact you through the whole process, but it felt like it makes no sense for magic and mythical beings to exist in the same time of the Egyptian period when Bayek was around. It just had a werid twist, but never the less, an interesting experience.

Last but not least, the game had this Exploration system that allows you to learn about Ancient Egypt, Rome and Greek, which was amazing. I loved it.

In conclusion, the game is worth playing 100% and I can't stress this enough how much I enjoyed it. I am glad I spend this amount of time to finish it as I really like the franchise and I look forward to seeing what the next Assassin's Creeds have to offer.

The story of the game itself is a real rather immersive game with impressive details and atmosphere and an era throughout Egyptian times. When it comes to the characters, not everyone is impressive of course we see Cleopatra and the other royal characters in the game, but they don’t feel so real. The look of the main character is really fresh and cool, but speaking now of the bugs in the game in my opinion it would say the same sounding and I don't really know how to describe any description of the cutscene and other action that takes place in such a semi-cringe and generally dumb some dialogue now when it comes to sounding it doesn’t feel so real and sensual so very cheap and cardboard. Now when it comes to characters yet there aren't very many different characters sometimes it seems that during Side missions not only the same characters but during the same Story missions you can notice that sometimes it seems that the same character models only change hair and weight. You can even mix for yourself what the character might be here. Is It Worth Playing Side Missions? In my opinion, I think so, but not all because sometimes it’s even boring because hearing the same similar dialogue just changes the situation. explaining Side’s missions are four or a few other topics related to kidnappings, murders, thefts and so on, but not so much and interesting. Now when it comes to Story Missions, are they really that great and exciting? I don’t really think because it just changes the situation and the theme itself doesn’t change because you mostly kill enemies in the game. The design of the game itself really likes to feel so Egyptian such as: game menu, clothes, style, logic, map and so on. What I find many annoyed is the same destruction game because you have somewhere to ruin your level so you can play other missions where you will be required to have a high level because if the other enemy will have a higher level than you and you need to kill it it will take quite a while and nerves as many die. This would suggest many to try the game for those who love Open World themes and ancient Egyptian times. Personally, I was most interested in the game with its atmosphere and more logic, cities and lots of detailed locations. I dedicate myself to this game 8/10. Sorry for bad English ! Expand

The game has added three bow types which helps in dealing with different kinds of enemies. The game is filled with side missions and have great character moments. The leveling system though hated by many is one that I truly love. Grinding for the sake of leveling up made me explore the beautiful culture and architecture of Egypt and helped break the stereotypes that I was taught during my high-school. After playing this game I realized how beautiful Egypt truly was and it wasn't just covered in the Sahara Desert. The mountains, cities, tombs, caverns, and temples are a beauty to behold. The modern world has finally got a protagonist who we can see, Layla. She is an arrogant, rash and narcissistic character. The lore is back and exploring tombs and the pyramids is rewarding on its own. Expand

Although the game presents itself with all its flaws, I have to acknowledge Ubisoft for taking a considerable leap in the dark and successfully innovating a series which, however beautiful and appreciated, was at risk of falling into a repetitive pattern. In my opinion, the storytelling is also excellent, no longer solely focused on the assassins but also on the wider narrative of the series.

While the various installments of the series, especially the last three, can be overwhelming due to their size, I must say that it offers breathtaking graphics that leave you speechless.

now assassin creed can be called a game . I can be a cavalry , grounded tank fighter , auto bow gunner with Molotov and UAV eagle . but not a seek and hide assassin

Most of the people complaining about game play and the story, I think story is pretty enough for one game. Also you can see more of an origin story by buying "The Hidden Ones" DLC. Open world is not REALLY good but it is not bad tho. Some of the side missions are similar not gonna lie about it. You gotta give it a try. You are not gonna regret that!

I liked Origins a lot, the first Assassin's Creed game that reconciled me with the license since the disaster Unity.
Big open-world with lots do to, doesn't get boring easily.

Just to the first moment that I started to play this game I get surprised, is a game that mix open world, very good graphics and the Egypt mythology. I give to the game a 10 because when I beat to the first boss, I get addicted to this game. Very recommendable

Easily the best of the RPG AC games, mechanics are great, world is amazing, story is great with one of the strongest main character of the series and there's plenty of lore for the series. You can clearly see there was a lot of effort and love put into this game, even the sidequests often have good little story lines, and the dlc was an amazing addition to the main game. Loved the game even though I considered myself an ac "purist", couldn't recommend it more to fans of ac or rpgs in general. Subtracting one point for the repetitive nature of some of the quests that focus on taking forts and rescuing people a bit too much. Expand

Demorei quase 80 horas pra pegar 100% considerando as DLCS.

I hadn't done Assassin's Creed since the first opus and as much to say that apart from the graphics and the design of the cities I was not impressed.

    The positive points :
    - The graphics are sumptuous

    - A gigantic Map
    - Quite fun gameplay
    - The parkour, but hey I think it hasn't changed too much for the fans of the series

    The negative points :
    - The BORDEL AI is just horrible, no effort. No progress for 10 years is serious.
    - The dialogues
    - A not breathless scenario
    - Bugs and technical issues
    - A fairly limited RPG with areas delimited by levels
    - Quite boring secondary activities (races, arenas)

Assassin's Creed Origins is fantastic to me. Egypt looks incredible, and the game's other parts are top-notch too. Bayek's story is gripping, and while the gameplay can be a bit repetitive, it's rarely boring.

A Great game. The main story is fantastic. The music is soul-touching. I loved this game. Don't have much to say. Will definitely go down as one of the best assassin's creed games. Reached level 40 on hard difficulty. Looking forward to continuing it in some time.

What a great game, played it all the way through recently, graphics still hold up fine in late 2022, the setting (egypt) is beautiful it really gives you a sense of how it might have been, Bayec has a good character progression in this game, the story is good (unlike Odyssey) and grabs you.

Great game, a good return to the saga after two big disappointments [Unity and Syndicate], it has a good fighting system and with good animations, the setting is well done and arouses interest, but it fails in the RPG system, where basically if you have level your equipment is of no use, very large map that becomes very explorable but makes the open world adventure very difficult, Score: 7.9

Decent but unimpressive. Great looking game but the gameplay is boring. Story is OK, only the ending is any memorable. The people who created the world need a raise as Egypt looks gorgeous, those who populated it with boring side content need to get a new lead.

great game worth the money, great DLC worth the money, it took me less than 90 hours to complete the whole thing to 100% and I think that's the optimal time for a AAA game. The only thing I can complain about is the climbing mechanics, in Odyssey I played before Origins it was better

The resurrection of the seemingly exhausted series was successful. Beautiful and enormous Egypt is complemented by the sympathetic hero Bayek and plenty of modifications to the proven formula. [Issue#280]

This killer holiday in Egypt is definitely no boring. On the contrary, it is a pleasant excursion to the times, when the sphinx had a nose, and mysterious killers did not call themselves assassins. You cannot find a nicer version of an Ancient Egypt in any other game, and up to it it’s entertaining. A modest family story affects the whole empire at the end, and you will forgive a handful of bugs to its charismatic heroes, as well as the fact, that you have played the same pattern so many times, just in another scenery.

Ubisoft Montreal managed to make Egypt not only beautiful, but extremely atmospheric. When you’re admiring the city and a mounted patrol rushes past you, you always get that urge to step aside to avoid getting trampled, even though you know you can eviscerate them all in a blink of an eye.
