Visuals are amazing using the autoconfigured preset which was high for everything getting 50-65 FPS on high settings even during combat. Using Uplay client to play the game not steam version. Uplay client built games just run better on Uplay and steam users always complain about more bugs on the steam version.

I love that you get flashback missions not just cutscenes when something big happens like killing a high-rank enemy, giving you a backstory to the point of why your taking down this high rank masked one etc. the map is quite big bigger than any AC universe and if you wanna 100% this game then it will take you some time.

Struggling a little with combat I'm so used to countering then killing like all the other AC games if you think the combat is simple compared to the other games your in for a little surprise!

YES! there is a Helix credit system, so for people who don't have time to grind can buy in-game currency to spend and some weapons can be unlocked via Uplay credits which are free to earn via your Uplay account anyway. I personally don't buy in-game content at all and only believe that if micro-transactions are on multiplayer games it is unfair.... for single player games the only things you buy with your real money for in-game currency..... if you even want to buy them only affects your personal experience for campaign, not like GTA Online, Battlefield, Battlefront 1 & 2 Loot Packs etc etc so for single player content i don't mind but I personally don't buy content from any game I play!

Apart from that 10/10 definately an upgrade for syndicate and the bugged monster Unity!

    Would recommend.

They don't feel repetitive at all. I rarely have the urge to play side quests in most games, because they feel like fillers, but the side quests in Origins feel organic. They have good cutscenes and dialogue that make you feel like it ties in with the main quest. The mini plot in the side quests are interesting too.

At first, the controls were really weird. Shoulder buttons were the main action buttons, but once I switched it to the alternate controls, it was much better. The combat is more difficult since there isn't any parry prompts, but it's still very playable. Stealth isn't as free as it was. Enemies are more aware, but you get an eagle that you can summon to scout the entire area. This was a very nice addition since it allowed the player to manually recon the place, instead of having the points of interest shown automatically.

The narrative is my favorite. The relationship between Bayek and Aya is heart felt. You care about their cause, and want to fight for it. It's also very interesting how the story tells how the Assassin Brotherhood formed. All the other characters are good too. Very interesting death scenes, where you get to know the true intentions and thoughts of the templars. There are plenty of cinematics and dialogues in this game, which add so much to the narrative. I also loved the monologues from Bayek, as it added to his personality.

If you like open world adventure games, you can't miss Origins. This is the best in that genre I've ever played.

It's actually the most thought out Assassins game since the second. Everything is well crafted and has meaning, and there is a lot of content to get into, not so much to get repetitive.

Truly one of the best in the AC franchise. Ubisoft masterfully captured the Ancient Egypt setting and made the whole experience so immersive and engaging. Bayek's character development throughout the game is amazing. Easily takes 2nd place behind Ezio in terms of best characters in AC.

Visual fidelity, world design, magical setting, great main character, mechanics and combat are significantly improved over previous games (and tweakable with Animus Control Panel), post-assassination cutscenes are the best in the series, questing and story feels well thought and diversified. This is how I felt about the game for a long time, more than half of total playthrough. As far as open world story driven 3rd person RPGs go, this felt evey bit as good as the greatest games of the genre and gave the same amazement that Witcher 3 or NieR Automata did. Unfortunately it didn't last till the end of the game as from some point the story got a massive decrease in quality to the point of total ridiculousness, very repeatable landscape and extremely monotonic soundtrack of literally just 3 or 4 tracks for the entire game caused a natural weariness from seeing and hearing exactly the same thing for 50+ hours, game was also no longer trying to diversify anything and felt extremely repetitive and generic. So in the end I was forcing myself to finish the game. Then I hoped for something refreshing with two main DLCs, but to no avail and I was forcing through them too. Unbelievable how much of a rollercoaster this game was. It held a great promise at the beginning and really felt amazing for well over a half of playthrough, but managed to ruin it completely. There is simply a point at which game falls on its face completely and degrades drastically compared to earlier parts, leaving this great promise unfulfilled, destroyed even. This seems to be the case with the entire AC series, which is also a great concept that holds a great promise, but it is never fulfiled. Still, I had amazing time with it for the most part, but it is just so underdeveloped and unsatisfying in the later parts that it leaves you with disappointment and a lot to be desired, especially after how promising the game feels at the beginning. Both the open world and the combat system have seen massive improvements over previous titles. The story keeps you interested most of the time. I'm personally stoked for Odyssey, but that's mainly because I take a deep interest in ancient Greece.

I did not have an issue with grind as others mention, I just played the game as I wanted and easily out-levelled the content by the time I finished the last main story quest, and I still have a lot of areas yet to explore.

As a vision of ancient Egypt, it doesn't get better than this and even though I have finished the main plot, I'll still keep on coming back for me just to enjoy this lovingly created world.

But she tries to do it carefully, without any revolutions: leaving her best elements, and the worst ones replacing them with popular and actual mechanics. It seems that this approach works. I have been scolding Assassin's Creed for many years. The series did not develop gameplay and from year to year annoyed with the same elements. But there was always one thing that justifies the existence of Assassin's Creed, no matter what stagnation the franchise might be - the elaboration of the setting. The game could be a bad stealth, a bad slasher, a bad historical fanfic, but it was always an ideal way to study the era. The Great French Revolution, the Third Crusade, the Renaissance - every time line in the series was worked out in the most detail. Assassin's Creed immerses in the era, acquaints with its figures, demonstrates all the sights from all sides and gives, albeit with fantastic digressions, to participate in the most important of its events. It's one thing to flip through books and watch movies, the other is to be there. Assassin's Creed: Origins enchants with the scorching Egyptian sun, majestic pyramids and oases, lost deserts, animal world and everyday life of people from such a distant mysterious era. Mysterious, but in some way native. In Russia, the history of ancient Egypt has traditionally been given a lot of time in the school curriculum (I do not know why), so this whole topic with pharaohs and the secrets of the pyramids responds with nostalgic feelings. And this is after a superficial acquaintance: I still have to go around the whole of Egypt and get to know Cleopatra - my impressions will certainly be more than complete. But the world would be good not only to examine, but also to explore, right? Origins originally swung to the RPG-genre. His elements in the series were present before, but what they showed us and told the developers about the new part was like the Witcher at all. In fact, it is. Locations monstrously huge, but carefully worked out. With one caveat - kilometers between deserts and cliffs stretched between detailed sites. It seems I'm beginning to understand why the developers chose the ancient Egyptian setting ... In general, you feel the trick, but it looks logical, and therefore does not annoy. Especially "empty" kilometers can be quickly and conveniently overcome on horseback and camels. Here, by the way, they added a witch-like system of the autopilot: he indicated the point on the map, pressed the button, and the riding animal himself rushes you where necessary. It's terribly convenient, I must say, although you feel like a complete lazy person. But as far as the content content of all these beauties is concerned, there is nothing to complain about. There are very, very many sidelines: the map is literally full of question marks ("interesting places"). But how much are they really interesting? Find in the treasure zone, kill the dangerous beast, kill the captain - and the like. There are a lot of options how to spend time, but you will not find anything new. Perhaps this will change later, but I strongly doubt it. However, more than about the RPG-elements and Egypt, we were told only about the combat system. Developers finally realized that a boevka based on counterattacks alone (when an icon appears on the enemy!) Is a bad idea for 2017. So we decided to add, suddenly, a bit of gameplay. The new system is quite simple: we fix ourselves on the enemy, defend ourselves with a shield, inflict quick blows for the damage, strong ones - to break through the defense, we periodically accumulate adrenaline and go pie-ins. It works quite well: weak enemies can be called, and with those that are fatter, the fights are reminiscent of For Honor. And the dynamics, and the general feeling of the character and weapons. Together with the change of swords, the boulevard-halberd, the mechanic is also changing. Different weapons are not just skins, everyone has his own physics. Here the game of the same "The Witcher" even works. Claims so far two: not always transparent hitboxes and the need to open parry as a skill in the process of pumping - this in mechanics should be immediately. It seems that the path chosen by the developers for the revival of Assassin's Creed is working. It harmoniously combines the classic elements of the series, and new mechanics, bringing it closer to the big RPG. This is clearly seen in the example of a directly role-based system - everything, it would seem, is elementary: we grow in levels, get skill points, buy new skills. But the tree of skills is interestingly intertwined, its three directions are connected non-linearly, they are not separated from each other by a "wall" - it adds depth. Expand

It has been 10 long years. Assassin's creed loved and hated. On its anniversary, the company Ubisoft decided to change his most popular series of games. A dangerous move, but commendable.

Assassin's creed origins is an RPG. Now this is not an action adventure stealth game. ASSASSIN'S CREED ORIGINS decided to compete with The Witcher 3. The game does not even hide it. The developers also do not hide it. But I have one question: why? Assassin's creed was supposed to change in Uncharted 4. And then that would be great! Assassin's creed needs to compete with Naughty Dog, not CD Projekt RED. Assassin's creed needs to be an adventure and cinematic adventure like Uncharted 4, not overgrown and poteryavshie as textures RPG. But ASSASSIN'S CREED ORIGINS has all the elements of the genre. There is no variability of the plot and options dialogs, no consequences. The plot is linear. From an RPG we have a huge open world, combat system, lots of loot and crafting. it is a natural development of the series Assassin's creed, but I wish it was less, but more, prorabotano and cinematic.

The plot of the game is simple. And once again, we played as a character who's out for revenge. This is not a problem - he's got good reason for revenge. The story of the game consists of the gradual destruction of our goals, as it always has. Story missions interesting, made a very creative (Yes, that huge snake in the story missions). The story in ASSASSIN'S CREED ORIGINS very Mature. in it aremany drammatichnye moments. this is a very personal story. The protagonist himself Byek adult, wise, just, the protector of Egypt. this is not a frivolous guy, and see the life of a man. The plot has a few minus: 1) the Beginning of the game completely crumpled. If we were shown consecutively, as were all the carnage at the beginning would be better. 2) The End of history. At the end of the story the Bayek's wife - Aya. Yes, we also played, but to put an end to the story needs exactly the character that we control most of the game. 3) Poorly disclosed historical figures. The trailers gave the impression that we will long to spend time with Cleopatra and Caesar. But no. If Cleopatras we are a long time, Caesar just popped in for a few minutes. 3) Oren and the mysticism of ancient Egypt (I would like more mystery and hallucinations).

Additional tasks. Since this is an RPG, but a lot of them! Very much! It is good that these tasks are interesting. Not all, but most. There's no stupid "bring, bring". Each job has its own mini story. There are no dramatic level of The Witcher, but the writers have done well and some of them are memorable. although by the end of the game is a significant uniformity in the gameplay - every time you sneak into the enemy camp and to do something.

Changed combat system. She was vdohnovlaet Dark Souls and The Witcher, and the whole change came rather good than not. Now the combat system gives you a challenge. Now not easy to kill everyone by pressing a few buttons. In ASSASSIN'S CREED ORIGINS you have to plan every action. And each weapon has a different weight and the speed at which the impactors. But, for me, the combat system is not repaired until the end, it has quite a few flaws (especially the camera, which is becoming "Japanese").

The main thing in ASSASSIN'S CREED ORIGINS is Egypt. And recreated it perfectly! Let it rather monotonous (oases, similar to the city of palm trees and desert), but this is Egypt. Open world is very beautiful, the artists are great games its work. If textures are not quality, the scenery and draw distance is simply magnificent! Have a NPC has a daily routine that can help and assignments, and the simulation of life increased. The story of the characters, and those who give additional tasks can vstretil on the street. The developers have managed to fill in Egypt and it is not boring to travel.

ASSASSIN'S CREED ORIGINS is a good adventure. And a great tour of Egypt! Yes, the game was released early, she needs at least another half a year to be in development (the game has problems with animations, problems with the combat system, there are bugs). But for the game in an open world is a good result. It's not the best Assassin's creed since the story could have been done better, but this is a game that takes you in the world. I enjoyed studying all of Egypt, examined all the pyramids and performed all tasks. It is a good return after a year break. Assassin's creed has changed so much that if not the name, it can be difficult to determine what is Assassin's creed.

P.S.: PC version has performance issues. Not fatal, but need to fix. The graphics are not that great, the game was acting so unstable.

The story was rather enjoyable with the missions having nice pace with shocking twists in some. The whole time I was engaged and wanted to keep going.
The side quests are here with a whole load of them, but none seem like they are just there to exists and are boring. Each of them were different and varied and offered some exp rewards or loot.
The map is huge and hallucinating in the desert is fun. Exploration is more fun in this game than any of the previous in my opinion. Running through the dunes to come across a cave which turns into a tomb is great fun and adds to the overall experience.
Combat is souls like but greatly sped up with less skill required.
Loot is fun to receive but I found the deluxe pack ruined the early game as I never used any of the swords I picked up as the fang was too op.
For being in Egypt they managed to get a great amount of variety in the locations which vary from sand dunes, marsh lands, white deserts and green areas. There is never a boring moment when exploring.
There is plenty to do after the story such as the secret armour which needs the location needs to be discovered unlike older games and requires some effort to unlock even though I still rock Bayeks default outfit.
At the end of the day, I rate this a 10 as I believe it truly deserves it. The 2 years were worth it.

    P.S
The lootbox scenario is not bad as they are bought for 3k ingame money and not advertised or in your face at all.

The weapon rarities give incentive to exploration. WItcher 3-style side missions are also a welcome change. The combat in this game is the best in the series and more realistic. On hard difficulty, the AI is actually somewhat formidable and creates formidable challenges. Finally, in my opinion, the main character, Bayek challenges Ezio as one of the best assassins in the series. His inner drive for revenge and justice for Egypt makes his character deep and makes room for development over the course of the game.

This to me is the best overall AC game in the entire series.

Assassin's Creed Origins is a great game.

The graphics followed by the setting is perfect. I like most people thought this would be another terrible reboot for the series. This turned out to be much much more. The gameplay mechanics work well with each other like torches lighting things on fire and bay hales for hiding. The story (I wont spoil this) but it's pretty good, a few

The story (I wont spoil this) but it's pretty good, a few twists and turns to turn your mind around. The level requirements for the quests seem really high which brings me to the point of the grind.
I understand its okay for RPG games to have a grind, but this one feels much more greater than others.

The game doesn't have much replay value as is with other ubisoft games like Far Cry.
Overall this game is very well worth it.

The resurrection of the seemingly exhausted series was successful. Beautiful and enormous Egypt is complemented by the sympathetic hero Bayek and plenty of modifications to the proven formula. [Issue#280]

This killer holiday in Egypt is definitely no boring. On the contrary, it is a pleasant excursion to the times, when the sphinx had a nose, and mysterious killers did not call themselves assassins. You cannot find a nicer version of an Ancient Egypt in any other game, and up to it it’s entertaining. A modest family story affects the whole empire at the end, and you will forgive a handful of bugs to its charismatic heroes, as well as the fact, that you have played the same pattern so many times, just in another scenery.

Ubisoft Montreal managed to make Egypt not only beautiful, but extremely atmospheric. When you’re admiring the city and a mounted patrol rushes past you, you always get that urge to step aside to avoid getting trampled, even though you know you can eviscerate them all in a blink of an eye.
