This is more of the same if you liked Assassin's Creed Origins, then you'll like this, if not, you probably won't.

Bayek's back, older, wiser and still as ready to kill every last thing that gets in the way of his vision of justice. You have 2-3 hours of main quest and a bunch of other stuff to do. It's all fun and makes you thirsty for the 2nd larger expansion. Win.

This is a DLC to the AC Origin and it provides the true ending for the game, if you play the campaign, you must play this as well. You visit the Sinai Peninsula and Bayek is finally an Assassin instead of a Medjay. Bayek has grown older and become more focused. This is the brotherhood origin story and shows how the three rules of the AC order came into existence. There are various missions and difficulty has been ramped up. One of the story missions brings a familiar face from the main campaign. The bounty hunters have taken place over the phylakes. Exploring the pyramid being built is a great addition as well. The games ending with the AC music hits me every time and I consider it the true ending for Bayek's story. Expand

If you’re OK with getting more of the same, you will probably enjoy The Hidden Ones, but as a fan of the series I found nothing memorable in this DLC. [03/2018, p.62]

Assassin’s Creed Origins: The Hidden Ones doesn’t change much, which isn’t a bad thing considering how good the main game is. It makes small improvements while keeping the same formula, while telling a meaningful story set in a new land as beautiful as ever. Anyone who enjoyed Origins is bound to enjoy The Hidden Ones.
