The controls are ok on PC and you can remap the keys which is a blessing.
Story is ok but I still have a lot to do.
Gameplay is very good.. so why only 5 score?

This is a so called "AAA, full price game", a single player game with micro transactions in it (!!!). And this is straight ZERO points from me. The only reason I gave it 5 is because I got it at a lower price and I actually like it.

Dear publishers, just get the **** off with your ****ing MTX's. Leave the single player PC games alone.
If you really want this **** in your games, stick it in consoles, those dummies will pay for anything.

+ very polished. good performance, very few bugs. the technical level of the game is close to perfect.
+ outstanding user interface. the game has a lot of content and arranging it so well is not easy.

It's amazing what the Ubisoft team can do if you give them enough time. They no doubt created one of the best open world sandboxes.

The one complaint I share with many players is that while the game is technically great, it doesn't have much to do with "Assassin's Creed". The name could almost be dropped at this point. They really need to continue the main story. It's been 10 years and it should come to a conclusion at some point.

I have to deduct another point, because Ubisoft changed the story of the game to appeal to homosexuals. Nothing wrong with that, but it shouldn't have any impact on the story and Ubisoft should have the spine to stand up to social justice warriors and stick to their original story. Stop trying to appeal to everyone and just do your thing, for **** sake. Giving in to such idiots makes you look weak.

tl;dr: The only weak point in this game is the story.

There is a store to this game that I guess you can spend real money on but in no way did I ever feel temped to do so and the game does not push you towards the store at all. I think it mentions it to you one time only and thats it, you never hear about it again unless you want to.

-Decent Story with an interesting main character (I played with Kassandra)

-Finally an AC title with dialogue choices with an impact on the game

-Good combat, well paced with quite a few challenges when you play on the highest difficulty

-Lovely world, I especially liked the islands

-Enough funny moments (a real must for me to enjoy a game), but also some very good dramatic scenes

-Good looking equipment in the endgame (in the early game you end up looking like you actually mix everything together you looted from corpses)

-Very few trips out of the Animus, which were very immersion breaking in previous titles and not at all great for the gaming experience

    Cons:

-The world is too large/has too few interesting things to discover

-Voice acting was not always fit for a AAA title

    -Too few character interactions imo

-Micro-transactions simply do not belong into singleplayer games. (Also XP boosters are probably a reason why you have to do quite some side activities to keep up with the main stories level recommendations)

All in all I really enjoyed this game and appreciate the direction Ubisoft has taken with this title. The fact that the story and dialogues were all set in stone in previous games took some of the joy out of the experience for me.

It's just a fun, gorgeous, if slightly underwhelming on the quest side romp through ancient Greece. Definitely don't miss this game.

It appears you may need to lose attachment to previous AC games however, looking at the low ratings. This game does not deserve low ratings and all of them are coming from people looking to disgrace the company by giving low ratings rather than rating the game for what it is. Shameful practice.

I'm eager to know what Ubisoft got for us for it's next AC game.
I gave it a score of 9 because in every mission I have to be in a specific level forcing me to do side quests that are pretty repetitive.
What stunned me are the location and the beautiful graphics overall, and to me I thought Origins had insane graphics but Odyssey is even better.
To me, it's not an intirely an assassin's Creed game but it's a change of fresh air, and I loved it.
Hopefully the next AC will be more towards the Assassin's Creed genre, until then, Ubisoft did an amazing work, hands down.
Just didn't give a score of 10 because of the forced side quests but a 9 is well deserved.

For how big a budget this had, this is just such a poor product.

The stealth is glitchy and inconsistent. The difficulty is baffling (4 hits before death on easy difficulty against enemies that can land instant strikes). Tutorial is excessive in some places and grossly inadequate in others.

It has the naval battles of Black Flag. It has the lieutenant captures and adding to your team like Shadow of Mordor. It has the RPG-like system of Origins with decision trees thrown in for good measure. It all actually works pretty well, especially the decision tree system. It starts at the very beginning when you choose which character to play, either the brother or the sister and there are big changes to the story for each one. I noticed a few small errors in some of the tree decisions like I made a major choice at one point in the story and the game in-inexplicably put me on the other path but it really didn't matter to me and I don't hold it against a game as massive as this as there are bound to be a few bugs. Nothing was game breaking.
The story is the big sell point. This is probably the best I've seen in the Assassin's Creed franchise. I felt many previous stories (of the few AC games I've played) were paint-by-the-numbers with little emotion or surprises. Odyssey changes all of that. This installment gets a lot more fantastical too with the option of fighting "pre-cursor abominations" in the guise of legendary Greek creatures of myth. That alone adds a whole new dimension to the series and I hope they keep it up in future installments,
One new feature that really sets this game apart from others in the franchise is the battle system. It's impressive to take part in an actual large scale battle and watch the two armies slowly widdle each other down. Sometimes there are only a handful of soldiers left standing once the fight is over. It's definitely more challenging when you assist the army on the attack at the defending army will have one rival mercenary for you to fight. I hope in the future that the game adds fortress raids, artillery or more challenges to keep it interesting.
The game is beautiful like most in the series, but I notice after the insane amount of detail in Red Dead Redemption 2 that this felt slightly... "plain"... in comparison. RDR2 is such a huge leap forward that I have a feeling most games will feel this way for a couple more years. Thing like the horse riding is stiff and awkward. Fire effects and weather effects, though good, instantly look dated thanks to RDR.
Speaking of RDR, one of my biggest issues with that game, I have with AC:O... fast travel. The eagle perch synchronization system is back, of course, but instead of unlocking fast travel to the nearest town.. or towns in that territory... the game fast travels you to this odd perch high up in the middle of nowhere sometimes. This just makes no sense. Some territories have no fast travel option. Including some islands that you will need to sail to if you need to visit again. In games as massive as AC and RDR, that require 100s of hours of playtime, a poor fast travel system is just a giant waste of time and just unforgivable in this day and age of gaming. At least travel by horse in Odyssey is a lot quicker than in Redemption.
My other major major quip is that the leveling is way too fast in this game. I think Ubisoft responded to complaints about the last game and over compensated even though I have a feeling that a lot of those people never even played that game. For example, the player levels up with nearly every major main quest completed.. of which there are many. However, if you take a side quest or two... and depending on where that mission is located (like in a major fortress with a leader to assassinate or regional treasure to steal) then you can easily level up again from just a single mission. Add on special assassin targets, legendary creatures, battles and more and you will find that you are always above level for the main story quests. Enemies and regions below your level will always maxed at only 2 levels below you which is fine. The problem is the gear you will find will be, at best, 2 levels below you. After leveling another time or 2 that already low level gear will become even worse very quickly. You will be switching to mismatched newly acquired gear often, making Legendary Weapons and Gear sets obsolete very quickly. The material needed to upgrade this equipment is just insane and practically pointless. So enjoy that new Legendary set of gear for a couple hours because afterwards you may never use it again. It's a shame because the gear this time around is a lot more unique and interesting compared to Origins, but it just becomes obsolete way too fast.
Overall the game looks great and is a blast to play with a surprisingly touching story and some fun new mechanics thrown in.

Story doesn't exist, you're just a warrior that kills her sister after 200 hours of secondary quests.

The world is really beautiful as always.
In comparison with the origins, this game is filled with content. But with dealogues it would be worth working deeper. I liked the game.

Assasin's Creed Odyssey is a very beautiful and large-scale game. It shows many interesting historical places and tells about the life of an ordinary Greek, but also tells an interesting story about a mercenary from the kind of Spartan kings. In the game I really liked the music, the ability to fight both at sea and on land, the plot, a large selection of actions and many side quests. The only minuses that I picked out from the game is the grind, but it is leveled again by good (as for me. Other players think differently) side quests, as well as a minus is a not very smart AI. The latest addition to the Assassin's Creed franchise is truly a wonder and a fresh take on a stale idea. The excellent execution, gameplay and story is only overshadowed by greedy micro transactions, paid XP and awful optimization.

An excellent and beautiful game from ancient Greece. Maybe it’s very different from the first game, however this evolution benefits the brand. [Issue#290]

While AC: Origins was packed with interesting stories, Odyssey is a generic ’Ubisoft sandbox’ in the worst sense, with hundreds of the same-looking places, dozens of ”kill-fetch” quests and almost zero motivation to grind further.
