    A game that i was afraid to play because i love ezio's trilogy. The game surprised me a lot and i wasn't expecting this kind of quality from Ubisoft.

    It may not be an Assassin's Creed title formula, but it is a great game still

The game holds a special place as my first RPG, captivating me in 2019 with its enchanting world and a plethora of awe-inspiring armor and weapons. The stunning graphics were a treat for the eyes, immersing me in a world that felt almost tangible. The initial playthrough, followed by a second, were both delightful and enthralling experiences. The two DLCs were particularly noteworthy, one delving into the mystical realm of Greek Gods and the other reconnecting with the franchise's roots through the Assassin DLC.

    However, I can't ignore some of the game's shortcomings. The vast world, while awe-inspiring, could also be overwhelming at times. The numerous side quests often felt inconsequential, akin to the island boys in 2024. Despite these minor drawbacks, Assassin's Creed Odyssey remains a commendable game, especially recommended for those new to gaming.    … Expand

    Great game. Really exciting at first. However, after few a hours it becomes monotonous and repetitive. It's fantastic how they've put historical characters into the game. Great world to explore, and interesting story to be a part of.

    Великолепная игра не имеющая как таковых минусов. Прекрасная графика, хорошая, как для такой игры оптимизация, не плохой интригующий сюжет имеющий неожиданные повороты, хорошая боёвка с плавными анимациями, в конце-концов - огромный и очень красивый открытый мир. Чтобы понять насколько это шедевральная игра нужно поиграть самостоятельно, и желательно купить, ведь одно дело когда ты играешьВеликолепная игра не имеющая как таковых минусов. Чтобы понять насколько это шедевральная игра нужно поиграть самостоятельно, и желательно купить, ведь одно дело когда ты играешь на пиратке для ознакомления, а другое дело когда покупаешь по истине одну из двух лучших игр 2018 года (топ 1 игра Spider Man вышедшая в том же году, топ 2 - AC Odyssey). Про сюжет много сказать не могу, ибо будут спойлеры, скажу лишь то, что персонажи и некоторые миссии действительно ставят игрока перед выбором, некоторые персонажи вызывают сопереживания. Единственный минус игры, который я нашёл - перебор с гриндом. Гринда в игре действительно очень и очень много, и речь не столько о корабле который нужно прокачивать, не о навыках персонажа, даже уровни коих в игре 99 особо вопросов и затруднений не вызывают, я говорю и дополнительных навыках которые открываются после достижения 50 уровня. У каждого дополнительного навыка есть стадия прокачки состоящая из 20 очков необходимых для полной прокачки навыка. Их в игре настолько много, что понадобится около 1000 очков опыта, на низкой сложности полная прокачка всех дополнительных навыков может вызвать дисбаланс. Радует, что дополнительные навыки к прокачке не обязательны, но всё же.… Expand

    I enjoyed this game very much, I really like the combat in this game, Graphics wise it is AMAZING to view and there is so much going on in the world, village people doing daily chores. The weapon and armor Build system is complex but ounce you work it out is very rewarding. Some quests are repetitive and can get boring but overall this is a great game.

    The open world is q nice thing you do for ancient Greece and it is a good rpg game however in the main story I don't think I'm assinateing someone quietly but in plain sight or Is just me

    This is amazing game. Graphics are so good and main quests are funny, some side quests are also too.
    The game combat mechanics and charcther skills are so good.Also boss fights too. I felt myself inside Greek world. If you like open world rpg games, i recomended this game.

    Dear Ubisoft, I've played this game for exactly 120 hours and in a few hours I will have finished everything in the game. Yes, I loved it, but please make your commercial policies in the games a bit more player-friendly. Don't make a service game either. It is clear that this will not be a good system. I hope you will make an effort to make beautiful and meaningful games. Good game to everyone.

    Well in comparisons ive played thorugh the game and can have a FULL review of the game!

    lets start with combat system. you as a player have to dodge and parry and also kill your opponent (IF beeing seen) There is 3 diffrent animation of the swings. also you have 5 diffrent variation of weponds to use to you liking.     the storyline is a really combined storyline and it all net itself to the end.

    Leveling system
    you do level by clearing quest and if you want to level even more you can go to diffrent camps and kill off as many npcs as possible.

    In my own opinion and or you that enjoys as long and intresting RPG game this is one of the best.

    If you want a auto parry hack and slash/ stealth game go onto the older titles of assassin's creed!

    From me this game gets a 10/10 and i would really recommend this game to eveyone that wants a game to play    … Expand

    The best Assassin's Creed game I have played to date. And I have played AC 1, 4, Rogue, and Origins. It is so addicting that I cannot stop playing this game. I am currently 60 hours in and at level 50 but I haven't even completed 60 percent of the main story, the side quests are so good that I just want to keep exploring and keep playing it. One of the best games by Ubisoft.

    The main and most side missions are great. The world is quite interesting to explore but the side objectives lacking a few 'bosses' are boring. I'd put it at 8.5 but just because of the great main missions will rate it as 9 on this website.

    Mit Assassin's Creed Odyssey hat man eine Menge Spaß, die Hauptstory ist gut und die weiteren Odyssey Questreihen sind ebenfalls zu empfehlen. Den Kult komplett zu besiegen gibt noch weitere Einblicke und schließt vorhandene Lücken, also etwas extra Story und tolle Szenen. Die DLC´s kann ich ebenfalls empfehlen, vor allem den Atlantis DLC, der knüpft an die Endszene von der Storyreihe desMit Assassin's Creed Odyssey hat man eine Menge Spaß, die Hauptstory ist gut und die weiteren Odyssey Questreihen sind ebenfalls zu empfehlen. Den Kult komplett zu besiegen gibt noch weitere Einblicke und schließt vorhandene Lücken, also etwas extra Story und tolle Szenen.     RPG-mäßig richtig gut umgesetzt, viele schöne Dialoge und Entscheidungen, die Stimmen sind 1A und Kassandra ist ein wahnsinnig toller Charakter, ich hab mit ihr fast 180 Stunden lang erkundet. Jedes Fragezeichen auf der Map habe ich jetzt nicht aufgedeckt, außer von allen Inseln, die sind klein und fein. In erster Linie habe ich das gemacht, weil sie immer eine eigene Atmosphäre haben die sich stärker vom Festland unterscheiden als das Festland von Ort zu Ort selbst. Das Festland sieht ja größtenteils gleich aus, entweder Stadt, bergig oder Wald, aber auch da gibt es genügend Unterschiede nur nicht so viele das ich jeden cm davon gesehen haben muss und das muss auch nicht so sein.

    Ich habe alle Haupt-, Neben-, Welt- und Charaktere-, Kopfgeld- und Aufträgsquests die man als Marker auf der Open World oder im Verlauf durch Ortsentdeckung bekommt inkl. 20 von Nachrichtentafeln.
    Die Questreihen sind wie in fast jedem Spiel am genialsten, einfach spitze gemacht.

    Das einzige Contra am Spiel: Sokrates! Ich kann ihn einfach nicht leiden, er ging mir so auf den Sack!
    Und Siegel sammeln, zwei Deppen die dich dauernd mit einer Quest losschicken 3 Polemachen zu legen und sie zu looten um deren Siegel als Beweis zu erhalten, dann kehrst du zurück, gibst die Quest ab und er gibt dir mit 10% neuen und oder erweitertem Text dieselbe Quest etliche Mal erneut, bis es irgendwann heißt "Ein letztes Mal". Dauernd wiederholende Quests die bis Abschluss einfach nicht verschwinden sind echt ka-cke und gehören wenn überhaupt auf die Nachrichtentafel!    … Expand

    I don't like Assassin's Creed games. I love this game. This game has such charm. The characters are interesting and compelling. The gameplay is simple and straightforward, with added depth of upgrading your gear, but it all seems to naturally fit within the world. I tried Origins and Valhalla, but those don't seem to capture my imagination quite the same. I came back to this one becauseI don't like Assassin's Creed games. I love this game. This game has such charm. The characters are interesting and compelling. The gameplay is simple and straightforward, with added depth of upgrading your gear, but it all seems to naturally fit within the world. I tried Origins and Valhalla, but those don't seem to capture my imagination quite the same. I came back to this one because Kassandra is awesome. I also love learning about ancient Greece. This just feels like an action RPG and not so much an assassin's creed game...

    Assassin's Creed Odyssey is way different from AC games(I didn't play Origins yet.), it has a skill tree and level system which I love. I think this is a good game, but it's not an AC game.

    -Terrible climbing controls. (not that terrible as first games.)

    IMO the best AC ever made (as of 2022). RTX3080 was stunning and smooth, with a story that concludes in a much more enjoyable way than that of AC Origins

    good gameplay , good music doesnt deserve a 6.3 score but i hate the far distance betwenn objectives, i think it deserves a chance as an open world game and not as an assassins creed, all those bad score are just assasins creed fans crying in there caar, poor fans

    Moim zdaniem ac odyssey jest dobrą grą lecz brakowało w niej czegoś co by nie bardzo zachwyciło lub bardzo zaangażowało w fabułę bohatera. Oczywiście widok np. Akropolu jest oszałamiający lub pływanie statkiem , ale nadal mi czegoś brakuje w tej grze. Dodatkowo maksowanie mapy było mega nurzące. Podczas czyszczenia mapy brakowało mi emocji .. Do tej pory nie ukończyłem całej mapy boMoim zdaniem ac odyssey jest dobrą grą lecz brakowało w niej czegoś co by nie bardzo zachwyciło lub bardzo zaangażowało w fabułę bohatera. Oczywiście widok np. Akropolu jest oszałamiający lub pływanie statkiem , ale nadal mi czegoś brakuje w tej grze. Dodatkowo maksowanie mapy było mega nurzące. Podczas czyszczenia mapy brakowało mi emocji ..     Hands down, my favorite Assassin's Creed game. It did everything perfect by my standarts. This is game where Ubisoft really tried to make it best out of best. Those who don't like AC Odyssey because of that "Assassin" thing only, you'll never be pleased, if you can't even see quality of this game.

    Amazing game! In my opinion, much better than "Origins" Kasandra is easily one of the best female protagonist I know. Visually game is beautiful, in terms of story, acting and quest design it's one of the best AC in years. Shame that it's not really a story about assassin's but it's very good anyway. There are a few little floss but they are not worth mentioning. Bigger issues are microAmazing game! In my opinion, much better than "Origins" Kasandra is easily one of the best female protagonist I know.     This is a vast beautiful RPG-driven open-world game. Every action opens a new timeline and brings you to one of the nine endings this game has to offer. Every state is somewhat different from the other but the beauty of old Greece is a sight to behold. You play as either Kassandra or Alexios. Every action opens a new timeline and brings you to one of the nine endings this game has to offer. Every state is somewhat different from the other but the beauty of old Greece is a sight to behold. You play as either Kassandra or Alexios. I prefer Kassandra as she is considered canon and has better voice acting. You are a mercenary and though you are a Spartan by birth, you fight for any side you prefer. The battle for states is just a grinding mechanism where there is no change to the state whoever wins except for the color of the flag. You cannot make Sparta win all the states as the AI takes back the other states so that no side becomes dominant. There is a metric ton of loot and gears that become obsolete very quickly in the game. There are a lot of skills and only a few you will ever use. The nemesis system was copied from the Mordor games but its bogus. The spartan kick is the OP skill and must have, it opens a lot of opportunity in battle from recruiting enemies to throwing them down the cliff. The campaign is quite boring as there are no sequences for killing cult members and they die like any other NPC but the characters and music in the game are on point.

    Tip - Don't kill the bounty hunters or the cult members, instead drain their health and use your fist or the spartan kick for the final blow. When they are unconscious, you can recruit them for your ship's crew which gives you an edge in the naval battles.    … Expand

For me the bounty hunters appearing cheating in the middle of the fight and follow you to the bush your are hiding into resulted in that most of the money I earned went into clearing the bounties even in the middle of fights. (12) The ship is OK, but it's completely useless against shore. This is surrealistically stupid, when a rain of arrows simply knocks down a soldier without armor by only scratching him a little! And also, in the whole game I have not met a single interesting enemy at sea. Even in story missions(remember the legendary ships in "Black Flag"). (13)It is necessary to give a very strong hit to hands of a man who wrote the riddle "field of centaurs". The third centaur points in a completely wrong!!! direction. (14)I did not notice this, but I agree with whoever said it in another reviews - the bad thing is that the player can climb anywhere and in any way. The charm of parkour and climbing is lost, as it was in the old games. And the terrible skill of immortality when jumping(This is some kind of surrealism, jumping off the mountain!!! and taking no damage, LOL). (15)And the last thing: Too flat and simple ending of the main game's story. What the hell was this?! A huge game with such an ending? "Origins" was good, DLCs were good... Odyssey's main game - sucks. No, I agree that it was interesting ideologically and plot to make alternative endings, but it was NOT supposed to be the final of the whole story, the last mission. "Wasted".
    First DLC: I liked the story of the game. The game-play and other details are the same as in the main game. I didn’t like only two things: (1)The stupidest decision of the game to force the hero to leave the beach for battle, contrary to the general decision. Heroic stupidity = movie cliché. (2)When the hero and the old man are talking in a barn at the shipyard, in the dialogue you say "while we are doing this, I am ready to put up with you". This is just illogical wild nonsense.     Esse jogo me surpreendeu. Nas primeiras horas eu não dava nada por ele, chato, monótono, entediante. Mas conforme eu fui progredindo as coisas começaram a melhorar. A começar pela liberdade que ele te dá de bandeja, seguido pela Grécia Antiga fenomenal que a Ubisoft criou, depois a história começa a te cativar devagarinho. As DLC's só melhoram o pacote.

It is also one of the best stealth games i have played including previous AC games, i never realy enjoyed stealth games, yet here i enjoy it as much as regular combat.     Beautiful game with a breathtaking world and endless possibilities of exploration. The attention to detail is amazing and the combat is very satisfying. But with such a detailed and well thought out world you can't help but notice some of the weird dialogue and copy-pasted faces. All in all it is worth a play.

    For those crying A.C. is dead, the stealth gameplay is still there for those who want to play it but you can also play a combat and shooting gameplay as well!
    A HUGE and beautifull world, with infinite gameplay due to repeating mechanics and hundreds of hours if u want to do all things, there are tons of things to do. Great    A well made AAA rpg game, close to perfection in all aspects.

    - Open world is fantastic. In every island, there is a side-quest chain waits for you.
    - Voice actors did a perfect job. Both characters are awesome.
    - Fort attacking is the most enjoyable thing in the game. You can be a strategist, assassin or warrior.
    - DLCs are perfect. The Fate of Atlantis one is really perfect. Stucks you to game until you finish it.
    - New Game+ is very efficient. I played the game again because of it. And even playing it again, it still feels good.
    - You can change the auto level scaling to light if you want to play only the story. Stop saying that.

    Cons :
    - There is not much "different" quests. Always go and stab some people.
    - You can't decide will you be Athenian or Spartan. I mean, there is sometimes a street war between them, you wanna join the fight but you can attack them both, or they'll attack you. ( Naval fights are more ridiculous )
    - It says " RPG " but in the DLCs, every answer gets you to same ending.
    - Horse riding is not very good, it's sh*t.
    - There's no assassin in this game, only assassin is Darius :D I mean it's called "Assassin's Creed" isn't it?

    Summary :

    This game is 60$. It costs 0.5dollar / hour for me. Guys stop being a dickhead, Ubisoft made it
    perfect. But yeah some more details to game would be perfect. I reeaaally wanted to wear a spartan helmet and get into a spartan fort. Or a little bit more different quests.    … Expand

    Огромнейшая игра в любимом мне сеттинге древней Греции. Контента просто полно. Прохождение заняло 100 часов. И то осталось много контента в этой игре. Сюжет меня заинтриговал. Особенно дополнения оба.

    If you love ancient greece it could be even a 9 (although the social aspect is anachronic at best, the documentation work regarding the design of cities and buildings is almost perfect), but if not... a 7 maybe? it's fun and has outstanding visuals, but the story is simply stupid and silly.

Now it still has nice enough architecture, huge statues, most of islands of Greece. Ocean is really cool, sunken shipwrecks, sunken temples, sharks, whales etc. So basically get got many things right with this game, but also tons of stuff was just bad or weak. Thankfully most of these things were fixed in Valhalla, but Valhalla is not perfect either. Basically there's still room for Ubisoft to improve. Overall Odyssey is solid, but flawed game. But here's the thing, i'm an Assassin's Creed fan and i need to have one-hit assassinations. Now maybe someone who doesn't care about this, might enjoy this game more. But i still want to give it relatively positive score, because after all it's still part of one of the greatest video game series of all time and it obviously got tons of hate from people who hate AC games in general, so even just for that i have to give it higher score. And i'm one of these players who can literally spend hours underwater exploring ocean. I can't even count how long i spent underwater in GTA 5 for example and with Odyssey they made ocean really interesting. This was huge step-back in Valhalla, because for some weird reason Valhalla ocean is kind of empty. So bonus points for good ocean design in Odyssey.… Expand

    Wonderful game. I've spent a lot of hours just roaming around the map and cleaning the camps and forts, it's a joy for me to sneak into enemy and kill them one by one without getting spotted. The graphics and the story are both great too. Much better game than Origins in my opinion.

    Best Assassin Creed I've played.
    Main story is fine, side quests are okay, even though some are repetitive and dull.
    Graphics is great.
    Combat is engaging with different styles according to skills and weapons.
    Voice acting and music are fantastic.

    I generally disdain games with gratuitous violence. A recent exception is Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. It has an interesting plot, the scenery is gorgeous, there's a wide range of difficulty, voice acting is good and gives me a better sense of what the Greek language sounds like, there's a sense of connecting with important historical characters and places that have always seemed dim andI generally disdain games with gratuitous violence. A recent exception is Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. It has an interesting plot, the scenery is gorgeous, there's a wide range of difficulty, voice acting is good and gives me a better sense of what the Greek language sounds like, there's a sense of connecting with important historical characters and places that have always seemed dim and distant to me, movement feels natural and vigorous including running, walking, swimming, horseback riding, and piloting boats large and small, there is an abundance of varied quests, none of which is of the "kill 30 wild pigs" variety, combat options include rogue, bowman, and melee options (and you have to learn all of them), the adversaries are mostly bad guys and gals, and the Greeks depicted really look like they are from the eastern Mediterranean rather than northern Europe. There's plenty of innuendo but no graphic sexuality. You can inhabit a male or female avatar. Your in-game choices certainly affect your progress in the story. The setting is during the Peloponnesian War, which was a moment of high drama in that part of the world. Be warned that the Great Plague of Athens features in a few scenes. So if you've ever wanted to meet Socrates, Herodotus, and the like, or if you've been wondering where those "gods" all came from, or where they went, it's worth a look. Certainly it's one of my favorite RPGs to date.… Expand

    + open world exploration is rewarded, for example you pick up quest items you can need later
    +/- moves way more towards a true RPG game with great skills / items / scaling. can be a con if you dont like that
    +/- classic revenge story with typical AC ending, its ok
    +/- mythological creatures are explained with AC Isu magic
    - microtransactions, not only are they annoying i'd argue you dont need them, dont waste your money
    - present time is not fleshed out
    - present time characters can be annoying, i like the protagonist but hate the supporting cast

    This a beautiful game. You don't get to see ancient greece in 4k every day. I picked it on sale and it is worth it. Not an AC game but an okay RPG with great open world. Will recommend.

    We must say it clear. It's obviously this is not the Assassin's Creed fans best game. I think it's not a real Assassin's Creed game, but as a game I like it a lot. It's true that the game makes you (want it or not) play some side quests to play the main story, but apart from that I liked it very much.

    The latest addition to the Assassin's Creed franchise is truly a wonder and a fresh take on a stale idea. The excellent execution, gameplay and story is only overshadowed by greedy micro transactions, paid XP and awful optimization.

    While AC: Origins was packed with interesting stories, Odyssey is a generic ’Ubisoft sandbox’ in the worst sense, with hundreds of the same-looking places, dozens of ”kill-fetch” quests and almost zero motivation to grind further.
