On a stealth game, cover doesn't work. I get instantly detected through trees, or while in bushes... Also parry doesn't work, for example when you are attacking someone else and you get attacked it doesn't work. Or when you press anything else at the same time. I many times pressed e at exact time enemy attacks and nothing happened. Also there is no crouching. Combat is very buggy andOn a stealth game, cover doesn't work. Combat is very buggy and unresponsive, pressing buttons, but it doesn't do anything...

In summary graphics is great, runs well on old pc and story is fun. But controls could use improvement. And they are simplified. I enjoyed various moves in ac 1, in this game it feels there is less variety, there could be difficulty option to set it. But there are sometimes great attack moves, when you attack multiple guys at the same time, but you can't control it.

They added some nice new textures and Boston and New York feel more vibrant now. The story is still the same and quite alright, with different kinds of missions including some quite original ones, though the optional objectives do not always improve the missions. On the other hand, the game is quite rough and glitchy. An example of the roughness is that the parkour is too touchy; the main character will try to climb everything he touches, even while he is running another way, which can be very frustrating. As a result of glitches some side missions can only be completed with the greatest difficulty; some don't even pop up until you're standing right next to the person involved. Glitches can be expected in an open world game, but even for that kind of game there are way too many glitches. Unfortunately, there seems to be little support for the game anymore. Conclusion: nice story, vibrant surroundings, but way too glitchy for a finished game, making 100% completion very difficult to achieve. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

The OG was much better than the remastered version. You can check my review on this game here. The weapon wheel was clunky and switching weapons was hectic. Remastered felt like a brightened version of the OG game. Haytham missions were cut short which makes sense but I did not like it. While the new version makes the game more accessible, offers more depth on the domain's management and a small but not marginal graphic facelift (notably sunlight management). It is unfortunately counterbalanced by the main character models being sometimes less polished, a catastrophic display of nights and a rather embarrassing bridle of the experience. This version is recommended for those who could not play the original game. However, the PC version is highly recommended, at least for the 60 FPS availability.

With Assassin’s Creed III Remastered, Ubisoft improved the graphics of the games but did very little to improve everything else.

Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered offers some good upgrades, with smoother visuals and some UI fixes. If the overall experience feels dated at time, it still is a solid experience.
