    This game is the beginning of the story of the legendary character Ezio Auditore da Firenze, who is burning with the fire of revenge. The best sentence to say is to play this game and make others around you play it too.

    Playing this in 2023. Still one of the best adventure games in every aspect.
    Although it was a weird decision to try to implement stealth mechanics in a number of missions when there is no proper stealth mechanic at all. And that menu... ugh...!

    This game is a vast improvement over the bug-ridden AC1. They improved virtually EVERYTHING.

    The story is the best of all AC games (except maybe Black Flag). It is really good.

    Graphics still look beautiful in 2023.

    Running across the rooftops of the beautiful cities and then jumping 50 m into the water is just awesome.

    This and Black Flag are the best installments of the whole series!

However, if I were to choose between the two, I'd lean towards the first game's setting with the gameplay enhancements of Assassin's    Assassin's Creed II marks the beginning of a more complex and intricate universe within the Assassin's Creed series.

    The game is undeniably amazing, showcasing substantial improvements over its predecessor, surpassing the first installment in many ways. However, if I were to choose between the two, I'd lean towards the first game's setting with the gameplay enhancements of Assassin's Creed II. The initial title allowed me to truly embody an assassin, representing the assassin brotherhood, while the sequel follows a frustrated yet awe-inspiring Italian protagonist on a quest for vengeance, trying to find his place in an era where assassins are not as prominent as they were during the crusade era in the first game.

    What I absolutely adored in Assassin's Creed II is the gameplay. While it boasts an abundance of optional chests that beckon completionists like myself, it is an enjoyable experience to traverse the beautifully crafted open-world environment. The parkour mechanics have been significantly refined, making climbing and maneuvering more fluid, faster, and complex than in the first game. I've never felt such an exhilarating sense of freedom and agility while exploring in any other game released before this one.

    While the story of Assassin's Creed II may not offer precisely what the first game did, it is captivating in its own right. Featuring a formidable and compelling antagonist, the narrative leaves a strong impact. Furthermore, the game not only advances Desmond's overarching story but also marks the inception of Ezio's journey, who has become one of the most beloved characters in the gaming history.

История проста, полна решающих действия, но последствия этих действий вам не дадут ощутить в полной мере. В свое время безусловно отличная игра для массового игрока с более удобным геймплеем, приятного и порой чарующей атмосферой городов, запоминающимися персонажами.     stupid story. boring open world. i cant really understand why most players name it the best part of the series. 1st part is much better, cause old mechanics are worse and new mechanics are awfull or dont work at all, the only thing i love in this game is florence design

    Assassin's Creed 2 is a nice game with its story, concept and atmosphere, apart from that, all the maps in the game are perfect, but the controls of the game are very difficult and the battles are simple.

    The controls are the clunkiest controls I've ever encountered in a AC game. It uses "universal button symbols," it didn't work in Prince of Persia two years ago. Why there can't be normal symbols? The graphics are bad for a 2009, there are games that look far better (Uncharted 2, Batman AA, CoD:MW2).

    The story's just a "pyramidal revenge hunt," you're going after people you don't even know their names. The game has "disposable characters," e. g. your entire family. I can't believe the deuteragonist is Leonardo da Vinci, he got way too much space. One of the few good things about the game is the protagonist, probably the only likeable in the whole series. But I don't get why all the characters have super thick "Italian" cringe-ass accent. Ridiculous.
    Easily the weakest entry in the series (for me). And I played AC1, Bloodlines and Unity.    … Expand

    Assassin's Creed 2 is a good game from Ubisoft. But I think it's overrated or I would love more if I played on the release, I don't know.

    -Terrible climbing controls. I was losing my mind.

    O salto de evolução entre assassin's creed 1 e são é sobre um gigantesco abismo. Finalmente temos um bom sistema de escalada, apesar de ele ser pouco polido às vezes, e temls um combate interessante, apesar de também ter suas limitações. No geral, o stelth existe para evitar um combate pouco inventivo onde você pode optar por um counter hitkill com as hiden blades, esquivar e torcer paraO salto de evolução entre assassin's creed 1 e são é sobre um gigantesco abismo. Finalmente temos um bom sistema de escalada, apesar de ele ser pouco polido às vezes, e temls um combate interessante, apesar de também ter suas limitações. No geral, o stelth existe para evitar um combate pouco inventivo onde você pode optar por um counter hitkill com as hiden blades, esquivar e torcer para acertar o hitkill ou pode passar 10 minutos batendo contra a arma do inimigo. Não tenho nostalgia com este jogo, então reconheço suas qualidades e evoluções, mas também suas limitações.
    Não há muito o que fazer no mundo aberto, o combate fica cansativo e o stelth pouco se faz importante, usado em missões bem repetirivas. 90% das vezes matar um inimigo na beira de um telhado fará ele cair, e 60% das vezes você cai junto se atacar correndo. Não é um grande problemão, mas me chateia bastante, principalmente porque geralmente você ataca correndo.

    Um detalhe que é bom e ruim: se atacar com a hiden blade e entrar em alerta, com sorte você consiga matar até 6-7 inimigos antes fo modo combate desabilitar a kill das blades. É algo que parece errado, mas pelo menos te salva de enfrentar 10 inimigos em um combate repetitivo sempre.

    No mais, história é muito boa, com personagens interessantes, em especial Ezio, mas sinto que falta um pouquinho de polimento em algumas mecânicas.    … Expand

    Assassin’s Creed II is a gem, a truly masterpiece also on PC. Developing a new economic system, and bringing more attention to combats, notoriety and context-script, Ubisoft achieves an awesome and epic experience. This sequel is far better than the first one.

    Two years later, Assassin's Creed tries again to make real those promises from Ubisoft, and prove itself as a better game than it was. The truth is that, despite the Renaissance setting, the vivid locations and the historical landmarks, the new features added don't really improve the sequel: the same repetitive mechanics remain, as the flawed enemy AI, a rough combat system and moments of frustration coming from issues with the camera and the control response in the platform sections. Assassin's Creed II it's still a good game but far from the masterpiece Ubisoft has been promising.
