    Altogether, its daft enemy AI and some wonky camera controls can’t bring down this phenomenal stealth experience. Aragami is pure eye candy with its feudal Japan-inspired visual style, which perfectly complements its unique and engaging shadow concept.

    Aragami is one of the best stealth games we've seen lately, which will satisfy fans of the genre. However just be prepared to spend some quite hard times with some more "action" moments.

    Aragami is pure stealth, designed to satisfy fans of the genre. The game is quite repetitive but the whole experience is good to play, both in single-player and co-op. There are also nice visuals, even though some technical issues must be solved.

    Aragami is an old school stealth game without compromises: you cannot defend yourself and you may die with a single hit. The variety of the shadow powers is counterbalanced by a little bit of repetitiveness on the long run.

    Accomplished software with an interesting proposal, good graphics style and well crafted sound, that should satisfy any fan of the genre.

    This game has good idea, but very poor realisation. First of all, it does not have save system, and checkpoints system are BADLY designed. OneThis game has good idea, but very poor realisation. First of all, it does not have save system, and checkpoints system are BADLY designed. One mistake -- and you should replay big part of level again, and again, so it became not boring, but stupid. If you add monotonous levels (really, most levels are unneeded and only have minimal differences in gameplay.

    And there are another thing: game control seems to be a bit misaligned, so player does not have perfect control over character. So interface hell would be one of the source of constant errors. Well, and bossfights. As always in BAD games, bosses violated game rules. they could be killed only be most notoriously long way (and they ignore almost any abilities character have), that with addition to no saves lead only to frustration.

    Take the color palette from Mirror's Edge, put some cell shading from Borderlands, take a crippled version of Blink and Corvo from Dishonored,Take the color palette from Mirror's Edge, put some cell shading from Borderlands, take a crippled version of Blink and Corvo from Dishonored, throw them into a melting pot and you have Aragami.
    Game plagued by the worst capital (if worst could be capital in the same time) SIN of stealth games - NO F***ING HARD SAVE. Checkpoints horribly placed, if you die (and you will die a lot - because it's 1 hit kill) you are excruciatingly, painfully, horrendously forced to replay the chapter either from start or from the next checkpoint placed in the middle of f***ing nowhere, until you'll learn by heart all enemies routes. See what happened to Hitman Absolutions, Metro 2033, last Splinter Cell Games and how they were criticized because of this idiotic checkpoint system especially in stealth games. Oh yes, and Corvo could jump flawlessly over fences, this shadow "assassin" is crippled by the bad programming decisions. Pity though, it could have been a very interesting character. Uninstalled with light speed after third chapter.

    On the plus side :
    A very good game, very enjoyable, coupling gameplay from Dark (vampire with teleportation abilities) and from the Tenchu    On the plus side :
    A very good game, very enjoyable, coupling gameplay from Dark (vampire with teleportation abilities) and from the Tenchu franchise with a feudal Japan setting. It is well balanced and executed, it is not a rushed game. Gameplay is interesting and evolving through the missions.
    The cellshading graphics are pretty good and the level design pretty interesting and not so obvious. Enemies are everywhere and you have to use your shadow powers very cleverly just to stay alive (detection generally means death ).
    On the minus side :
    The performance is not so good at the release date , the frame rate is really bad like 20 fps on some chapters with everything maxed and changing resolution leads to strong darkening of the screen (?)
    However, I have good hopes that these drawbacks will be fixed witth the next updates.
    At 18 € on release on the french steam store i think it is a good deal.    … Full Review »
