ANTRO offers a unique blend of urban music, dystopian storytelling, and platforming action set in a dark underground Barcelona, with strong artistic and sound design that immerses players in its atmosphere. However, the gameplay feels somewhat imprecise and relies heavily on trial and error, and the very short duration leaves the player wanting more despite its creative ambition.

Overall, it all comes back to the length of the game. In spite of my own preferences, being a little over an hour is far too short and this length drags down both the narrative and the difficulty curve. What is here isn’t bad per se; there’s some decent world building, the levels toward the end are genuinely fun, and the vibes are fantastic. But they don’t compensate for everything else feeling rushed.

"Buying this album comes with a free game" is a line I’ve seen applied to many titles before, and usually when the foundation was solid to begin with. That’s not quite the case with Antro. Its platforming and rhythm mechanics still need fine-tuning, and while there are glimpses of potential, there simply isn't enough substance to truly assess its quality. Best suited for genre enthusiasts or those looking to support a small indie team.
