Aug 6, 2014Anomaly Defenders is a good final hurrah for the tower defense series from 11 Bit Studios. It has gorgeous maps, fun and hectic gameplay, and a lot of strategic opportunities via the deployable powers and the complex tech tree. What's more, the difficulty modes that affect the layout of the maps are quite impressive.

Jun 27, 2014Even though it's got a pretty traditional gameplay, Anomaly Defenders is able to entertain with a solid and challenging tower defense experience, enriched with great visuals, a sharp level design and a great to explore tech-tree.
-
Jun 11, 2014A solid tower defence experience that really does raise the bar for the tower defence genre. It might still be the simplest example of strategy gaming out there, but at least this one has merit for long term play.
-
CD-ActionOct 22, 2014Not as innovative as previous games from the series, but 24 maps, 8 types of towers, 6 special abilities and 10 variants of enemies are enough to provide a couple of days of fun. [Sept 2014, p.70]

Aug 6, 2014The last chapter of the series is, unpredictably, the most conservative one. And it's a solid Tower Defense: but it's just another Tower Defense.
-
Jun 23, 2014Although more traditional than previous games in the series, Anomaly Defenders provides a flexible and entertaining strategy-light experience. It looks great, provides multiple options for players and play styles, and is challenging enough to require forethought and adaptation.
