Oct 22, 2021This game feels like a warcraft 3 custom map in a good way. The game is very similar to They Are Billions, but includes a powerful hero you control to defend your city. It can be extremely addicting at first but as I'm writing this in early access, there is only a single mode and hero to choose from which quickly becomes repetitive. Overall a fun game that will likely improve with more content.

Mar 22, 2025It’s no surprise this game has been eagerly awaited for its full release. After years as a standout early-access title, it has matured into an RTS experience worth celebrating. With its polished mechanics, diverse playstyles, challenging yet fair difficulty, and a generous dose of stellar art direction and production value, it’s everything an early-access game aspires to become. If you’re ready to rise to the challenge, this game promises one unforgettable ride from start to finish.

Feb 26, 2025There’s a great ‘town defense’ RTS at the center of Age of Darkness, but the lack of polish even after its 1.0 launch is disappointing and the campaign lacks punch.

Feb 5, 2025Age of Darkness delivers an engaging campaign and a solid survival mode at its core. You’ll build, send units to their doom, and relish every horde that crashes against your carefully constructed defenses. While the game doesn’t go easy on you, it always makes it clear why you failed—ensuring that each battle against the forces of darkness leaves you stronger and wiser.
